Program Potensi Desa dan Desa Tanggap Bencana Desa Giring Kecamatan Paliyan Gunungkidul

Desa Giring is one of the many villages in Paliyan District, Gunungkidul which has a lot of potentials that can be developed further. The village potential includes traditional culture, agricultural and livestock products, as well as tourist objects. In its development efforts, it is necessary to introduce this potential to the wider community in order to attract tourists, thereby increasing the activities of the tourism sector. In addition, considering the potential for natural disasters that may occur in Desa Giring, an educational effort to the public about natural disaster prevention and precaution measures are deemed necessary by making pocketbooks as a medium of information. Data collection in the form of Desa Giring profiles, village potentials, and ways of dealing with natural disasters was carried out by means of literature studies through journals, articles, and the internet. The results of the literature study in the form of information findings and theoretical studies are then compiled in the form of videos and e-books. The output of the first work program, namely the e-book and video of Potensi Desa Giring which discusses the potentials in the village, while the output of the second work program, namely e-books and videos of the Buku Saku Desa Tanggap dan Sigap Bencana, which discusses prevention and precaution measures of natural disasters that have the potential to occur in Desa Giring. Hopefully, the two outputs of the programs can be used in future village development activities and give insight into how to do natural disaster prevention and precaution.

Pemetaan Wilayah Potensi Bencana di Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah Menggunakan Analisis Korespondensi Sederhana

Disaster cases need to be analyzed considering that when a disaster occurs it will have an extraordinary impact. The statistical method that can be used to study disaster cases is a simple correspondence analysis. This study aims to map areas with the potential for natural disasters in the province of Central Sulawesi. So, in the analysis, regions are grouped according to row profile values that are greater than the average. The result of simple correspondence analysis obtained flood disaster has the potential to occur in Banggai, Morowali, Donggala, Buol, Parigi Moutong, Tojo Una-una, Sigi, and North Morowali. While the dominant tornado disaster occurred in Banggai Kepulauan, Banggai, Poso, Toli-toli, Parigi Moutong and Sigi. For regional landslides with potential Banggai Islands, Donggala, Toli-toli, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi. Then Banggai Islands and the City of Palu are the dominant regions for earthquake disasters. The results of the grouping can be the basis of government and community focus in tackling the dominant disasters occurring in their respective regions so as to minimize the impact when natural disasters occur.

Pelatihan pola pengasuhan menghadapi anak trauma

Sleman district has the high-risk potential of the natural disaster. Disaster risk has positive correlate to potential trauma risk, especially on children. Trauma will be rise direct after a disaster or delay or called posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Parents are the most influential party to the child's development, so parents in disaster-prone areas must have the skills to deal with a traumatized child. The handling of trauma given to victims of natural disasters in Sleman Regency is only based on direct handling post-disaster. There is no advisory service for parents in dealing with traumatized children. Training needs to be given to parents, especially residents in locations that have a high potential for natural disasters. The training aims to provide readiness for parents to accompany traumatized children so that the impact of the trauma does not get worse. Based on the results of the application, it is proven that parents can perform parenting skills to assist traumatized children.

Disaster Awareness through Disaster Preparedness Education for Primary Schools

Tanjung Anom District of Mauk is a coastal area in the south of Banten whose location is classified as vulnerable to natural disasters requiring tsunami disaster mitigation efforts from the local community. This does not conform with the reality on the ground. The public has not been aware of the importance of disaster mitigation in the area. Based on data from the local region, the majority of the population is children attending school, but the school in the village of Tanjung Anom, District of Mauk has not received any disaster education program. The majority of young children do not understand what to perform in case of disaster due to the lack of education on disaster mitigation in which it should be a particular concern both for the agency and the government. Based on the importance of improving understanding of the disaster and Disaster Mitigation Education, it is implied that those should be taught to children from an early age. Community service through the action of “Disaster Preparedness Education” was done to the students at SDN Tanjung Anom, amounting to 180 students. The program provided to include the provision of materials relating to the disaster, disaster mitigation, field or simulations as well as to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to introduce the students in order to be aware and understand about the potential of natural disasters that may occur and the occurrence of natural disasters and obtain the knowledge in relation to the action during Pre-disaster, emergency responses and post-disaster. Disaster preparedness educational materials and a small simulation have been completed so as to improve student preparedness in the event of the disaster from the practice to overcome disasters.

TIPOLOGI, DINAMIKA, DAN POTENSI BENCANA ALAM DI KAWASAN PESISIR KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG

This study aims to determine the typology, dynamics and potential of natural disasters in the coastal area of Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province. The results of this study indicate that the typology in the coastal area of Tuluagung Regency consists of structurally shaped coast, wave erosion coast, marine deposition coast, land erosion coast, sub aerial deposition coast and several forms of typology impact from human activities utilizing coastal resources. The form of dynamics that develop in the coastal area of Tulungagung Regency is generally influenced by environmental conditions, factors of sea water waves and human activities in meeting the needs of life as well as for meeting the means of tourism development. While the potential for disasters in the coastal areas of Tulungagung Regency such as tsunami, abrasion, and sea water intrusion.

ANALISIS KETAHANAN AIR DI KOTA TERNATE PROVINSI MALUKU UTARA

The biggest problem in Ternate City is availability of water and potential for natural disasters, because it’s in the fire ring and climate in there is influenced by the tropical and seasonal climate. The purpose of this study is determine the water resistance in Ternate City for 20 th years until 2039. Water requirements are calculated by exponential method projections, the data based on population, industry, livestock and the area of agricultural land. Water availability debit data is based on water resources infrastructure data that has been available in there. Based on the results of the analysis, known that the total requirement of Ternate City in 2039 is 1.427 m 3 / sec, total potential of mainstay discharge in 2039 is 43.139 m 3 /sec and total potention of dependable flow is 3 0.700 m /sec, so it can be concluded that the water demand in there is still not fulfilled to its full potential but has a great potential for reliable debits. So that, infrastructure development planning is needed in the form of as many as 98 pieces of reservoirs with a total reservoir of 5.67 million m 3 /sec spread across the largest watershed locations in several areas in Ternate City

Extreme rainfall prediction using spatial extreme value by Max Stable Process (MSP) Smith model approach

This research covers Spatial Extreme Value method application with Max-Stable Process (MSP) approach that will be used to analysis Extreme Rainfall in Semarang city. Extreme value sample are selected by Block Maxima methods, it will be estimated into Spatial Extreme Value form by including location factors. Then it transform to Frechet distribution because it has a Heavy tail pattern. Max Stable Process (MSP) is an extension of the multivariate extreme value distribution into infinite dimension of the Extreme Value Theory. MSP using Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) approach, it has three forms distribution that is Gumbel, Frechet and Weibull. Extreme Value Samples that are selected by Block Maxima will follow GEV distribution. The best model that obtained based on Max-Stable with Smith model can be used to predict Extreme Rainfall by count Return Level. Then can be further analysis of various aspects, so it can provide a suggestion about the potential of natural disasters which are caused by extreme rainfall. Extreme rainfall prediction using the Smith model in the return period of the next two years, at the Semarang City Climatology, Tanjung Mas and Ahmad Yani Station is predicted to be a maximum of 100.7539 mm, 100.1052 mm, and 109.9379 mm.

ANALYSIS OF PHYSICS LEARNING MATTER INTEGRATED DISASTER IN WEST SUMATERA

West Sumatera is a disaster prone area, especially disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, floods,tsunamis, and volcanoes. The high potential of natural disasters has consequences for the importance ofdisaster mitigation efforts. School is an effective tool in shaping of mindset and behavior of students. Oneeffort that can be done is integrate the topic of natural disaster into learning, especially physics learning.Integrating physical matter in learning requires material analysis aimed at making disaster topics integratedin accordance with learning topic. The type of this research is descriptive research. The results of theresearch indicate that an analysis of the relevance of learning material to the topic of integrated disastersneeds to be done so that the integration between teaching material and the topic of disasters is carried out inharmony. Almost all physics learning material can be integrated with the topic of disasters that often hit theWest Sumatra region. The classification of material on the topic of integrated disasters is classified into factand metacognitive material.

Semarang City's Flood Risk: A Threat to Human Security

Flood is a natural hazard because it has the potential of natural disasters. Floods threaten human security, as in the socio-political, economic, and environmental aspects. Natural phenomena in the form of flood that routinely occur in Semarang City during the rainy season, can be considered a disaster if it affects humans and the environment. As a downstream area, Semarang City becomes an abundance of water from the rivers; resulting in flood in the rainy season. The condition is worsened with the characteristics of Semarang City, which makes rainfall in the upstream area to flow downstream rapidly. The community in Semarang City has not been freed from the threat of flood, especially those living in the lower regions. The unique characteristics of Semarang area which consists of highland and lowland and adjacent to the sea, makes Semarang prone to flood. When there is still fear of flood disaster threat around in Semarang, human security still have to be pursued. This study is conducted to find out the cause of high risk of flood disaster in Semarang City, especially from 2013 until 2015. This study also aims to explains how flood as a disaster could damage human security in Semarang City as well and therefore suggest how the government of Semarang City should treat the threat of flood wisely.

Part-Time Adults Students in Sarawak and Environmental Stress Factors

Long-life education has become a phenomenon in world of education, and many adults pursue their study while working in order to compete with the demands of today's life in upgrading their education levels. In adopting a new lifestyle by becoming students, these students also need to face new stress in their lives. The study is to find out the environmental stress factors among part-time students. Five dependant variables are used for each of the factors and the respondents responded by ranking the variables. Questionnaire is used and distributed to the respondents which are 80 part time students from 5 universities, UNIMAS, UiTM, OUM, UPM and USM. This paper will also discuss how environment affects stress among part-time students in Sarawak. The environment factors which are discussed are the size, the conditions in term of noise and safety, pollutions, the quality of air and the potential of natural disasters in the house they are living and the surroundings. The significance of the study is to illustrate the highest stressors in part time adult students.

Questionnaires were distributed to the 80 respondents from 5 universities, UNIMAS, UiTM, OUM, UPM and USM. This paper also discusses how environment which are the size, the conditions in term of noise and safety, pollutions, the quality of air and the potential of natural disasters in the house they are living and the surroundings affects stress among part –time students in Sarawak.. The significance of the study is to illustrate the highest stressors in part time adult students.
