Deepfake is an advanced technology that utilizes the latest artificial intelligence techniques to produce compelling images or motion pictures that appear to be genuine. This technique uses specialized algorithms to create fake content that is difficult to distinguish from the real thing. In Indonesia, cases of deepfake pornography have increased in recent years. With this new Artificial Intelligence technology which in addition to the many positive impacts it provides, it also has negative impacts that can support the occurrence of these cases. the spread of pornographic content with image manipulation (deepfake) has become one of the negative impacts of this technology. This study aims to determine the shortcomings in the legal arrangements and how they are implemented in cases of deepfake, or the misuse of AI technology. The research method used is normative legal research based on literature and laws and regulations. This research found that several general and specific rules relating to the misuse of deepfake technology through social media have not covered all aspects of image manipulation (deepfake) containing pornography on social media accounts. Therefore, although pornographic deepfake cases often occur and harm some people, the limited legal regulation of these acts causes the legal apparatus to have difficulty in ensnaring the perpetrators.

Mentoring Program in Talent Development at Sekolah Bisnis Muda (SBM) Bogor and Sekolah Muda Mandiri (SMM) Semarang

It is undeniable that cases of bullying and pornography in teenagers are increasingly common as information technology develops. The two cases above are quite worrying for parents and teachers and even more dangerous for the future of the children themselves. On the other hand, adolescence is a subculture in adult life. At this time, potential begins to appear, both physical potential and potential nature. Good assistance in this phase will have a positive impact on the development of the next phase. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which the mentoring program that has been implemented accommodates the need for adolescent talent development. This research uses a qualitative field method used to describe the Islamic mentoring program as a result of information obtained directly from informants, observations, and document studies. The mentoring program at SBM Bogor is a method of teaching and learning activities based on Islamic guidance. So that all learning activities that are followed such as finance, business mentality, business mindset, English, Islamika, literacy, Arabic, and video graphics use Islamic mentoring methods. The mentoring program targets the growth of students in developing their business talents. The mentoring program at SMM Semarang is able to deliver students to understand Islamic material easily. However, the mentoring program is not enough to facilitate students' talent development. Nevertheless, it has answered the need for students' worship, adab, ethics, and moral problems.

Opini Publik Mengenai Maraknya Publik Figure yang Melanggar Norma di Media Sosial

This research aims to describe public opinion regarding the rise of public figures who violate norms on social media. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research results show that a public figure is an influential person whose every behavior, attitude and activity becomes a public spectacle. So, a public figure needs to be careful in being positive in real life or on social media. There are several public figures who frequently violate norms in Indonesia, including artists, influencers and high-ranking officials. Examples of violations of norms are artists who say that they are transgender, artists who have pornography cases, artists who have bad attitudes, namely fighting through innuendo and harsh words on social media. Artists who commit sexual harassment and infidelity. Another example is an influencer who endorses a beauty product, which after investigation turns out to contain ingredients that are harmful to the skin. An example of this is high-ranking officials, namely where there are high-ranking officials who always display their luxury and wealth on social media, which turns out to be obtained from them committing corruption and bribery in their agencies. Public opinion regarding the violations of norms that occurred, namely the public's opinion to reject them by criticizing them on social media in the form of cyberbullying and cancel culture.

SOSIALISASI UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR. 44 TAHUN 2008 TENTANG PORNOGRAFI DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA

The aim of this community service activity is to provide an explanation to students regarding the criminal provisions in Law no. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography and building positive perceptions and behavior of students related to pornography issues. Pornography is prohibited in the law, intended as a way to prevent the younger generation, including students, from doing things that are prohibited in the law. In theory, this idea is supported by von Fuerbach's theory of psychological coercion, namely prohibitions and threats. Criminal law will prevent people from committing acts that are prohibited by law.
 The method used in this service activity is the lecture method by opening up space for discussion.
 The results of community service showed that based on the explanation given to the students who were the target of this activity, the majority of students were satisfied with the activity. With this activity, students became aware of how important the existence of a law is. Knowledge of criminal sanctions has influenced their psychology to obey the law. Thus, the theory of psychological coercion states that the existence of criminal sanctions in the law has influenced the psychology of members of society so that they are prevented from committing crimes. Apart from that, awareness has also arisen to participate in preventing and taking action against pornography cases.

RTBF as an Effort to Establish Legal Protection for Victims of Deepfake Pornography in Indonesia

RTBF (Right to be Forgotten) is a legal concept that allows individuals to request a removal or deletion of electronic documents or information about themselves that are inaccurate or no longer relevant. RTBF can be used as a legal basis for addressing cases of Deepfake Pornography, which involves the creation of manipulated pornographic content using Deepfake technology, where someone's face is inserted into another person's body in various media formats, such as images or videos. The current regulation of RTBF in Article 26 (3) of UU ITE is considered to have legal vague, resulting in the failure to achieve legal protection for victims of Deepfake Pornography in Indonesia. This raises the issue of the scope and limitations of the use of the Right to be Forgotten (RTBF), as well as the implementation of an adoption model for RTBF in cases of Deepfake Pornography in Indonesia. Research findings indicate that legal vague regarding the implementation of RTBF in Indonesia can be addressed by conducting a comparative study with other countries that also apply RTBF to cybercrime, including Deepfake Pornography. Indonesia is still lagging behind in detailed and clear regulations regarding the implementation of RTBF in the country, as well as in addressing Deepfake Pornography. Also, there is currently a lack of clear procedures in the UU ITE regarding the use of RTBF, and the ineffectiveness of the authorities handling Deepfake Pornography cases.

COVID-19, mobility restriction, and sexual behavior among a cohort of people of reproductive age: Nigeria.

One of the non-pharmaceutical strategies adopted by various governments to control the spread of COVID-19 is mobility restriction (MR), popularly known as a lockdown. Evidence shows that MR has some unintended consequences, such as increased cases of domestic violence, rape, pornography, sex chats, incest, and other unhealthy sexual behaviors (SBs). The study examined the influence of MR on SB in Owerri via a cross-sectional quantitative approach. A total of 425 interviewees were randomly chosen among people of a reproductive age. Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate levels of analysis. A significant relationship exists between selected socio-demographic characteristics, such as age and marital status, and the ability of people to cope with sexual abstinence. Results from the logistic regression analysis further illustrated this observation as during MR people were twice as likely to engage in prolific sex chats that could spur other harmful SBs. It is recommended that people should be allowed to determine whether they would like to stay with their partners in subsequent lockdowns, or otherwise, to prevent some of the unpleasant SBs recorded.

Children and Crime of Pornography

Children are one of the groups vulnerable to crimes, including sexual crimes and pornography crimes. Cases of pornography crimes involving children as victims are increasingly rampant amid the rapid flow of information and technology. This study aims to analyze child and pornography crimes from the legal and victim protection aspects in Indonesia. This study uses a normative approach by comparing various legal rules and legal theories and victimology related to cases of child crimes and pornography.

SEXTING AMONG CHILDREN: DIFFERENCES IN LAW BETWEEN MALAYSIAN, ENGLISH, AND AMERICAN LAWS

The recent case of Sugarbook has sparked concerns among the public who are worried about young girls using applications on the Internet. Risky behaviors and worrying trends make online Internet users vulnerable to danger. Risky behaviors exhibited by youth such as distributing sexually explicit images and sharing sexually provocative photographs will not only expose them to danger but also be regarded as contravening the laws. There are also reported cases of revenge pornography among teenagers in local media. Despite the lack of research on this new trend of communication among children and young people in Malaysia, daily local newspapers have released worrying news of how relationships built on the Internet can turn into tragedies for innocent young people, especially teenagers and children. This paper discusses the possible meaning of sexting, the current laws, and the reported cases on sexting, particularly those captured in Malaysian media. This paper used secondary data and information gathered from articles in refereed journals to understand the legal differences between Malaysia and other jurisdictions, namely the USA and the UK. This paper suggests that besides the importance of educating youth to create legal awareness regarding proper use of the Internet, there is an urgent need to revisit the relevant legislations and practices on the governance of sexting in order to protect children and teenagers.

Larangan Pornografi Dalam Undang-Undang nomor 44 Tahun 2008 tentang Pornografi (Perspektif Asas Legalitas)

Law No. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography was officially ratified on October 30, 2008. The emergence of this law cannot be separated from public anxiety about pornography cases which are increasingly spreading and consumed by various groups. Ease of access to information either through electronic media or communication media seems to be a 'free space' for the public to enjoy pornographic information or displays. By using a normative approach, the study of the problem is carried out using the flow and workings of the first and third types of doctrinal law research from Terry Hutchinson, because they are in accordance with the research problem and the purpose of this paper. This study aims to analyze whether the prohibition of pornography in Law no. 44 of 2008 following the principles of legality? It can be seen that the principle of legality actually has the main goal of protecting the dignity of a person from the arbitrariness of the authorities in applying the law. In the matter of pornography, the regulation must be clear, so as not to cause noise in its implementation. Given the diversity that exists in Indonesia, the criteria for pornography can vary. Thus, the state through its law enforcement officers must pay attention to local cultural factors. For this reason, it is necessary to make legal rules that can provide an umbrella for this diversity so that it can be a guide for judges in particular to assess whether an act that is considered to violate the law is something that is not against the law.

Prevention of pornography in vocational school students

The high number of pornography among teenagers is a real problem for teenagers, especially when the right solution has not been found in preventing student pornography. Even though it is known that pornography cases are increasing every year. The purpose of this study was to measure the meaning of adolescent life and the prevention of pornography for SMK students in Padang City. This research is a descriptive research with quantitative approach using pornography prevention instruments with validity greater than 0.325 and reliability 0.895. The subjects of this study were vocational high school students in the city of Padang. Subjects were taken with simple random sampling technique. The study used data analysis techniques and descriptive analysis. The results showed that there were several levels of pornography in students, and students' lives were affected by pornography such as high level student pornography at 12%, moderate pornography at 82.63% and low at 5.3%. The results of this study can be used as information for teachers. guidance and counseling to prevent student pornography in the lives of vocational youth in the city of Padang.

The Law Enforcement On Phornographic Cases

This study aims to determine the form of law enforcement against pornography in the investigation process as well as to find out the obstacles faced and provide solutions in overcoming the crime of pornography according to Act No. 44 of 2008, and also to find out the judges' considerations in deciding criminal cases of pornography in the Jepara District Court with case number 138/Pid.B/2018/PN.Jpa, and to find out the law enforcement of pornography crimes based on Act No. 44 of 2008 concerning pornography. This research was carried out at the Jepara District Court. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used data collection methods: interview methods, library methods, and data analysis methods related to the discussion being studied. The conclusion of this research isBased on the facts revealed at the trial, the defendant has been proven to have fulfilled all the elements of the article and in the trial there were no things that could abolish the crime, both justifying reasons and excuses, while for the philosophical and sociological aspects, what was considered by the Panel of Judges was because The defendant's actions violated the norms of decency in society. So that the sentence is very appropriate to be handed down to the defendant so that there is a sense of justice in the community.

Use of Tanner stages to estimate chronological age in alleged child pornography cases: A systematic review.

The last two decades have seen an exponential growth in the distribution and availability of child pornographic material on the Internet and social networks. The medical community is involved in assisting the investigating authorities in relation to estimating the age and sexual maturity of the alleged victims. To determine the efficacy of using Tanner stages as a method for esti mating chronological age in alleged child pornography cases based on published evidence. Systematic review study in PubMed and Scopus databases following PRISMA guideli nes. Articles describing the outcome of using Tanner stages to estimate chronological age in alleged child pornography cases were identified. For screening, those written in English or Spanish published from January 1, 2000, to April 30, 2020, were considered. The following data were extracted from the articles included: type of study; material and methods used; Tanner items examined; evaluators' characteristics; results; estimated chronological age versus real age; observer-dependent variations (bias); and conclusions. Seven studies were included. Three were literature reviews and four were case studies with expert testimony and observer bias. This method is ineffective when the alleged victim, in both sexes, shows sexual maturation in Tanner stages 3-5. In stages 1-2, it may be useful to state that the victim is under 18 years old, but not to determine their chronological age. Scientific evidence discourages the use of Tanner stages to estimate the chronological age of the vic tim from images in alleged child pornography cases. Pediatricians, and other medical professionals, should avoid making a testimony that is not scientifically based.

LAW ENFORCEMENT AGAINST CRIMINAL ACTORS OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA

This study discusses the crime of child pornography through social media. This research uses empirical and normative legal research where empirical legal research carried out by collecting data through observation, interviews. Sources of data used by researchers in this study are primary data sources compiled from observations, interviews and questionnaires in the field and secondary data sources collected from library research. This research analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. In this research, the theory used is the Law Enforcement Theory according to Joseph Goldstein, namely: Total Enforcement, meaning the scope of criminal law enforcement as formulated by substantive criminal law. “Try Not to be Embarrassed”: A Sex Positive Analysis of Nonconsensual Pornography Case Law

Media, police, and educational responses to nonconsensual pornography (i.e. ‘revenge porn’) have been critiqued for relying on sex negative beliefs that result in victims of this act being blamed and shamed for their own victimisation. In this article I analyse judicial discourse in nonconsensual pornography case law to assess the extent to which sex negativity is embedded in legal responses. I find that, while overt victim blaming and shaming is not present in the judicial discourse, subtle forms of sex negativity are expressed in a minority of cases through references to consensual youth image sharing as inappropriate and through the framing of reputational harms. I argue that it is essential for legal responses to not only avoid sex negative narratives (as most currently do) but to actively reveal and counter the sex negative beliefs that underlie many of the harms associated with nonconsensual pornography.

The Real Threat of Deepfake Pornography: A Review of Canadian Policy.

Deepfakes may refer to algorithmically synthesized material wherein the face of a person is superimposed onto another body. To date, most deepfakes found online are pornographic, with the people depicted in them rarely consenting to their creation and publicization. Deepfakes leave anyone with an online presence vulnerable to victimization. As a testament to policy often being reactionary to antisocial behavior, current Canadian legislation offers no clear recourse to those who are victimized by deepfake pornography. We aim to provide a critical review of the legal mechanisms and remedies in place, including criminal charges, defamation, copyright infringement laws, and injunctive relief that could be applied in deepfake pornography cases. To combat deepfake pornography, we suggest current laws to be expanded to include language specific to falsely created pornography without the explicit consent of all depicted persons. We also discuss the extent to which host websites are responsible for vetting the uploaded content on their platforms. Finally, we present a call for action on a societal and research level to deal with deepfakes and better support victims of deepfake pornography.

Sentencing with Love, Not Hate

Judge Jack B. Weinstein approached every sentencing with his trademark compassion and intellectual rigor. This was nowhere more evident than in two of the most challenging sentencing contexts: child pornography and terrorism. This essay considers Judge Weinstein’s refusal to sentence based on assumptions about defendants and their conduct, and his insistence on empirical data, expert evaluations, and asking the hardest questions about motivation and future behavior before imposing sentence. It focuses on Judge Weinstein’s sentencing practices in terrorism and child pornography cases, the two areas in which Congress and the U.S. Sentencing Commission have most limited judicial discretion in sentencing. It shows that despite those limits, Judge Weinstein sought always to impose individualized sentences based on the actual person before him. He believed every person—no matter their worst act—could be salvaged, and deserved happiness.

Relevance of Cybersecurity Education at Pedagogy Levels in Schools

Today, the internet extensively impacts people’s lives through improved communications, interactions, and the exchange of information. Despite all these positive effects, it also causes in significant negative issues. Over the recent years, cases of online fraud, cyber-bullying, racial abuse, gambling, and pornography have increased due to the lack of self-control and overall awareness among internet users. Therefore, there is a need to create awareness and training on cybersecurity in schools to protect students from cyber-bullying, online fraud, and being targets of prejudice. Research reveals that the level of self-control and awareness among internet users is still moderate and low. To ensure cybersecurity awareness and knowledge among internet users, young people need to get educated on how to operate safely in cyberspace. This education will guarantee that they understand how to protect themselves from cybercrimes. To this extent, this research paper will explore the essence of cybersecurity education in schools and provide strategies that educators can utilize to promote cybersecurity education across learning institutions. This paper will thus conclude how cybersecurity training can be implemented in a learning institution.

The Critical Discourse Analysis on Pornography News of “V Garut” at TribunJabar.id Online Media

The emergence of pornography cases that had gone viral on social media with the tagline "V Garut" shocked the public because the act was committed by a woman and several men. The female suspect claimed that this act was done because of coercion and pressure that the male suspect had put on her. The research aims to explain the level of text, social cognition and social context of the pornography news of "V Garut" on the online media of TribunJabar.id. The research used a qualitative descriptive method with the theoretical approach of critical discourse analysis by Teun A. Van Dijk. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The research object was related to the news of "V Garut" on the online media TribunJabar.id with two informants. The results of research at the text level in the elements of macrostructures, superstructures and microstructures explain the existence of a discourse indicating an unfavourable situation such as violence and marginalization on the role of "V Garut". Journalists’ social cognition tends to judge this case as “unique” phenomenon, not focusing on a social issue that must be addressed in society. Based on the analysis of the social context of this news, it can be seen that there is a powerful practice of the media and the authority’s access in reporting the “V Garut” case. Exploration of Prosecutor Experiences with Non-consensual Pornography

ABSTRACT There are several challenges facing criminal justice stakeholders with the emergence of this form of criminality, aptly termed “nonconsensual pornography.” The current study will examine the management and experiences of a newer form of cybercrime, non consensual pornography, by an imperative category of criminal justice stakeholders: county and district prosecutor offices in the United States. With data collected from electronic surveys, this exploratory study will investigate the frequency these offices are experiencing nonconsensual pornography cases, and any significant factors that affect the sanctions administered by the court system. Results indicated prosecutor offices experienced revenge pornography crimes more so than any other form of nonconsensual pornography. In addition, the results from both quantitative models indicated more years of practice of law in a current state increased the likelihood of revenge pornography cases prosecuted receiving a sanction of incarceration and/or fine.
