The analysis of existing criteria for the selection of plant test systems is carried out in order to assess the impact of granite quarry dumps on the soil conditions of adjacent territories. The advantages and disadvantages of bioindicators plants most common in the territories of granite quarry concentration in Ukraine are determined. The hierarchy analysis method has been applied to justify the use of Onium (Allium cepa L.) and Crested Salad (Lepidium sativum L.) for assessing the ecological status of soils in the adjacent territories of granite quarries, which will provide complete and sufficient information not only about the pollution sources, but also to evaluate the impact of such pollution.
