Cultured hypocotyl explants of tomatillo (Physalis ixocarpa Brot.), were evaluated with regard to their morphogenic responses to combinations of benzyladenine (BA, 0–5 μM) with either naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA, 0–50 μM) or 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D, 0–50 μM). The induction of shoots or roots was dependent on the cytokinin/auxin combination.
