Current data is given and an evaluation of the effects of lighting on livestock, poultry, fish, mushrooms, and plant productivity is carried out. The practical application of the latest innovations in lighting technology and photo biology is described.

The family of heat shock protein (HSP) exists in all prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The expression increase of HSPs in response to environmental stress protects cells in a cenain degree. Most HSPs are molecular chaperones, and their principal function is to regulate protein metabolism. including protein folding, transmembrane transport, degradation and regulation of erroneous proteins. The expression of HSPs is closely related to epidermal differentiation, photoprotection and some skin diseases.
