EKSPLORASI DESAIN BUSANA PESTA WANITA BERBASIS INTERPRETASI LEGENDA PUTRI JUNJUNG BUIH DENGAN KAIN SASIRANGAN
  • Feb 27, 2026
  • SINERGI : Jurnal Riset Ilmiah
  • Mayzahro Nuzulailatul Badriyah + 1 more

This research explores the creation of women’s party wear using Sasirangan as an Indonesian heritage textile (wastra). Although Sasirangan shares resist-dyeing characteristics with Batik, it is distinguished by its basting stitch technique (jelujur). Despite its development in contemporary fashion, designs that explicitly visualize the narrative of Princess Junjung Buih remain limited. This study aims to create a statement piece integrating the Ombak Sinampur Karang motif to represent the legend’s aesthetic and philosophical values. A descriptive qualitative creation method was applied through the stages of exploration, design, and realization, using design semiotics theory to transform narrative elements into contemporary visuals. Tailoring techniques convey a regal structure, while draping represents the water foam symbolizing the princess’s emergence. The results show that the “Deep Azure Essence” design successfully expresses Banjar cultural identity in modern fashion. Feasibility testing by three experts yielded an average score of 4.58 (“Highly Feasible”), with the highest score in the semiotics and cultural aspect (4.73). This study highlights local textile-based fashion innovation as a strategic effort in preserving South Kalimantan’s culture.

  • Jurnal Prajaiswara
  • Harmita + 5 more

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study comprehensively examines Ki Hadjar Dewantara's educational philosophy as an Eastern educational figure who made fundamental contributions to the Indonesian education system. Background Problems: The Indonesian education system has experienced infiltration of Western philosophical determination and value degradation due to emphasis on knowledge transfer over value cultivation, necessitating strengthening of national educational philosophical foundations based on humanization. Novelty: This research integrates literature review from 2015-2025 to holistically map historical background and key philosophical concepts that have not been systematically analyzed, as well as identifying connections with modern educational philosophy streams, particularly essentialism. Research Methods: Systematic literature review method was employed by analyzing 9 selected articles from indexed journals through stages of identification, selection, data extraction, findings synthesis, and critical analysis. Finding/Results: Ki Hadjar Dewantara's educational philosophy is grounded in the concept of independent education emphasizing balance of physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social aspects based on Panca Dharma and Tripusat Pendidikan. The concepts of Trikon, Tri Rahayu, and Among System with the motto “ing ngarsa sung tulada, ing madya mangun karsa, tut wuri handayani” form a practical framework for student-centered education that shares similarities with essentialism yet remains dynamic. Conclusion: Ki Hadjar Dewantara's educational philosophy remains relevant as the foundation of national education in shaping the character of independent, intelligent, and morally noble generations, with implications for the necessity of revitalizing its philosophical values in educational policies to strengthen national educational identity based on local wisdom.

This research analyzes the concept of deep learning in education through the philosophical values of Ki Hajar De-wantara. Utilizing a qualitative literature study, it explores the connection between deep learning, Indonesian hu-manistic values, and local wisdom. The findings reveal that Dewantara's "Tri Pusat Pendidikan" (Three Educational Centers) and his three main mottos Ing Ngarso Sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, and Tut Wuri Handaya ni are closely aligned with deep learning principles, such as contextual learning, holistic development, and stu-dent independence. The research also identifies challenges in implementing deep learning technology, including risks of dehumanization, the digital divide, and an overemphasis on technical aspects at the expense of values. To address these issues, the study proposes a conceptual framework that encompasses four dimensions: pedagogical, technological, ethical, and socio-cultural. This synthesis of technological advancement and local wisdom offers a fresh perspective on humanistic digital education. The findings contribute both theoretically and practically to educators, technology developers, and policymakers in designing AI-based learning systems rooted in humanistic values.

Teaching gamelan with philosophy and freedom: a multi-site case study in California, United States
  • Jan 29, 2026
  • Music Education Research
  • Widodo + 2 more

ABSTRACT This study examines how the teaching of Javanese gamelan in the United States goes beyond the transmission of musical skills to cultivate philosophical values such as harmony, collectivism, and creative freedom. Using a qualitative approach, we conducted participant observation and semi-structured interviews (n = 6) across four gamelan communities in California (university, secondary school, and public setting) during mid-May 2025. Thematic analysis was employed to identify pedagogical strategies, processes of internalising gamelan’s philosophical values, and the challenges of cross-cultural adaptation. Findings indicate that teaching gamelan in the United States requires pedagogical innovation that is sensitive to local contexts while retaining the essence of Javanese philosophy. Teachers and facilitators deliberately emphasise experiential learning, interactive dialogue, and collective participation. Values such as rasa, gotong royong, and creative freedom are manifested through ensemble playing and adaptive teaching methods. Key challenges include participants’ diverse musical backgrounds, the risk of philosophical oversimplification, and the need to build bridges of meaning between Javanese and Western cultural frameworks. The study underscores the importance of reflective and dialogical approaches in teaching Javanese gamelan in global settings. These findings are relevant not only to cross-cultural music education but also contribute to new understandings of how local values may be adapted within international educational contexts.

The HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE FROM PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES TO THE MODERN ERA
  • Jan 21, 2026
  • The Annals of Dunarea de Jos University of Galati Fascicle XV Physical Education and Sport Management
  • D Pascari + 1 more

This article explores the historical evolution of physical exercise, tracing its transformation fromprimitive survival activities to the structured and scientifically grounded training methods of the modern era. Physical activity has always been an essential component of human life, initially linked to basic survival tasks such as hunting, gathering, and self-defense in primitive societies. These movements, though unstructured, laid the foundation for what would later evolve into organized physical education. As societies progressed, physical exercise began to acquire social, cultural, and even spiritualsignificance. In ancient civilizations such as Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome, physical training wasassociated with military preparation, aesthetic ideals, and philosophical values. The Greeks, inparticular, emphasized the harmony between body and mind, establishing physical education as a key part of their educational systems.During the Middle Ages, physical activity was often linked to combat training and chivalry, especiallyamong the nobility. However, it was in the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods that physicalexercise regained importance, inspired by the rediscovery of classical ideals and the rise of scientificthought. In the 19th and 20th centuries, with the development of modern pedagogy, sports institutions, and medical knowledge, physical education became formalized in school curricula and professional training programs. The article also highlights how perspectives on health, fitness, and physical well-being have evolved, shifting from purely utilitarian functions to a broader understanding of physical activity as a vitalcomponent of personal development and public health. Today, exercise is recognized not only for itsphysiological benefits but also for its psychological, educational, and social roles in building a healthysociety.

This research departs from academic panic about the erosion of representational representations of local identities amid the strong influence of global animation aesthetics. The panji tengkorak animated film emerged as an interesting anomaly because it tried to bring the narrative of Indonesia's legendary comics to life with a modern visual model, but still rooted in cultural values and traditions. This research aims to dissect how elements of archipelago culture, both material and philosophical values, are represented in the visual frame and narrative of the film to explore in depth, this study uses a qualitative content analysis method with a semiotic approach of Roland Barthes to see the denotations, connotations, and myths contained in cultural representations. Through data collection techniques in the form of observation and textual documentation, the results of the study show that the skull banner film successfully represents Indonesian culture not only as a visual decoration, but also through the ethics of approach, eastern spirituality, and the analytical analysis of good and falsehood typical of Javanese cosmology. With the conclusion that the film is not just a spectacle, but a space of cultural negotiation in which local identities are reconstructed to be relevant to today's masai audience without losing their identity. This film proves that animation can be an effective and reflective medium of cultural preservation for Indonesian people.

AL-‘AWĀMIL AL-NAḤWIYYAH: THEORY, DEBATES, AND MODERN CRITIQUES OF THE CONCEPT OF 'AMIL ( العامل والمعمول)
  • Jan 15, 2026
  • Multidisciplinary Indonesian Center Journal (MICJO)
  • Marsyanti + 2 more

The study of al-ʿawāmil al-naḥwiyyah (grammatical factors) serves as a primary foundation in Arabic grammar, examining the relationship between the ʿāmil (governing agent) and the maʿmūl (governed element) as the mechanism determining iʿrāb (inflection) within Arabic sentence structures. This article aims to comprehensively analyze the classical theory of the ʿāmil concept as formulated by early grammarians—notably al-Jurjānī in Al-ʿAwāmil al-Mi’ah—and examine the debates emerging between the Basra and Kufa schools regarding the source and authority of the ʿāmil. Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive analytical approach toward primary and secondary literature, this research explores the epistemological arguments underlying the construction of the ʿāmil theory and assesses its relevance to modern critiques in Arabic linguistics. The findings indicate that the ʿāmil concept is not merely a grammatical instrument but also possesses philosophical value in explaining the order and rationality of the Arabic language. However, modern critiques—particularly from structural and generative linguistic perspectives—question the metaphysical assumptions of the ʿāmil concept, which are deemed non-empirical. Nonetheless, the theory of ʿāmil maintains methodological significance in understanding Arabic syntactic relationships and the development of contemporary grammatical theories. This article emphasizes the necessity of a conceptual reinterpretation of al-ʿawāmil al-naḥwiyyah to remain relevant within modern linguistic paradigms without losing its classical essence.
