In developing countries, agriculture is vital to the economy, but inefficient water use and shrinking supplies threaten sustainability. Agricultural nozzles (e.g., sprinklers and pesticide sprayers) enable precision farming by delivering water and agrochemicals efficiently, reducing waste and environmental harm. Proper nozzle selection is critical, as specifications and pressure affect droplet size and spray uniformity. Optimal choices can minimize drift, ensure even distribution, and prevent resource losses—improving crop health and conserving water. This review systematically analyses the literature on the spray performance characteristics of agricultural nozzles, including irrigation systems (impact sprinklers, rotary sprinklers, fixed/rotating plate sprinklers, and micro sprinklers) and pesticide application nozzles (flat-fan, twin-fan, and hollow-cone types, with and without air assistance). Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, we evaluate key parameters such as the coefficient of uniformity, application rate, and kinetic energy for sprinklers, along with droplet size spectra (Dv0.1, Dv0.5, and Dv0.9) for pesticide nozzles—factors that are critically influenced by operating pressure and air assistance. This study further assesses methodologies for measuring droplet size and velocity in both field and laboratory settings, highlighting their advantages and limitations. By synthesizing empirical evidence through a structured PRISMA framework, this review enhances the understanding of spray dynamics, aiming to optimize nozzle selection to improve precision, efficiency, and sustainability in agricultural water and agrochemical applications.

Tuberculosis is one of the biggest threats that has been remaining a contagious disease since its discovery, posing a significant risk to millions of lives. Many people yield to TB because of incomplete treatments or the lack of preventive measures. An effective pulmonary TB diagnostic system has remained a big challenge. As it is a contagious disease, it mainly affects the lungs and other vital organs of the human body. We find DL as a subset of ML that runs an incurable disease diagnostic system with multi-neural architectures. In recent ages, a neural model can detect more accurately and quickly resulting in classified labels as normal and positive TB cases. It helps medical practitioners to identify bacterial infections in the early stage. It has also enabled proper diagnosis and treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis. Through this paper, an enhanced detection model to classify TB and non-TB cases using clinical X-ray images has been proposed. The augmented histogram equalized X-rays were applied to top state-of-the-art classifiers. The evaluation matrics have been compared with and without histogram equalization and a comparative study is done to find the best CNN classifiers. The Resnet 50 and ResNet169 have shown the higest accuracy on preprocessed chest X-rays with 99.6% and 99.48% respectively.

ABSTRACT The present study examines the constitutive-level behavior of geomaterial layers beneath railway tracks at the bridge post end-support zone. Its originality lies in independently evaluating the effects of rail pad stiffness variations and train speeds on the structural response of track and adjacent bridge substructure. This critical end-approach region exhibits boundary conditions distinct from the open track, necessitating rigorous performance evaluation. A rigorous finite element analysis was performed for a real-field case, incorporating the nonlinear characteristics of geomaterials and simulating moving loads within a dynamic framework. Results indicate that significant rail displacement persists up to 6 m from the post end-support, beyond which the influence of train speed reduces. Under low-speed conditions with rigid rail pads, vibrations transmit deeper into the ballast layer. Conversely, at higher speeds, soft rail pad promote a significant retention of high-frequency vibrational modes within deeper zones, particularly near shorter transition distances.
