Education is the key to the development of a nation. Education is carried out through efforts to determine all the natural strengths that children have, both as humans and as members of society, to achieve the highest safety and happiness. In line with this, the educational process should also be focused on the process of developing all human potential so that we can become ourselves with superior abilities and personalities so that we can create adequate resources. The method used in writing this article is a qualitative method. Qualitative research is research that looks at the perspective of social reality, namely by seeing the world as it is, therefore a qualitative researcher must be someone with an open mind. Basically, qualitative research has two objectives, namely: first, describing and revealing and second, describing and explaining. According to Ma'Tuf in M.Hatis, a gadget is a small technological electronic device or item that has a special function, but is often associated as an innovation or new item. A gadget among the public is no longer foreign, in this advanced era it is very sophisticated because the gadgets that are made are small and have many benefits and there are positive and negative sides to the use of gadgets. The use of gadgets in young children aged 5-6 years is indeed the use of gadgets It has a big influence on children because nowadays children are more concerned with playing with gadgets than studying and some of these children's families give their children a personal gadget.

The meaning of the recovery process and its stages for people attending a mental health day hospital: A qualitative study.

This study sought to explore the meaning of the recovery process and its stages from the perspective of people attending a mental health day hospital. A descriptive exploratory qualitative study was carried out. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with people attending a mental health day hospital. The data were analysed deductively by means of content analysis. The participants described the recovery process as a process based on three pillars; the attitude towards recovery, hardship, and the effort required throughout the process. Regarding the stages of recovery, for the participants in the first stage of the process (Moratorium), the search for hope was the most important element. In the second stage (Awareness), the reestablishment of their identity, through the acceptance of the consequences derived from the mental health problem, together with being able to feel full and fulfilled, were the most outstanding elements. In the third stage (Preparation), participants highlighted the search for meaning in life, facing their fears and the process with an open mind. Finally, the last two stages (Rebuilding and Growth) were related to taking responsibility and empowerment for recovery. The results of this study provide insight into the perception of the recovery process and its stages in people attending a mental health day hospital. These findings may contribute to aligning the nurse-patient perspective, helping nurses to understand the key elements of patients according to their stage of recovery, and thus be able to subsequently individualise interventions. This study was based on interviews with 15 patients receiving treatment at an adult mental health day hospital. This study would not have been possible without their participation.

The Influence of Gender and Age on the Open-Mindedness of University Students

Open-mindedness (OM) is one of the select groups of 21st-century soft skills that are lacking in the university curricula. Our aim was to analyse the OM level of our university students and study the influence of gender and age on OM. To do so, we used an ex post facto experimental design, a snowball sampling technique, an OM questionnaire administered to 493 students and statistical techniques of data mining and multiple linear regression. The results show medium–low levels of OM and higher scores in those below 49 years of age and female gender. The variable that most influenced the variability of OM was age (82%), compared to gender (18%). The practical implications of these results aim to promote a more inclusive, active and higher-quality university education that integrates OM, together with other competencies, to make our students more competitive academically and favour their entry into the labour market.

New Stream of The Indonesian Economy: Economic Empowerment and Islamic Entrepreneurship Culture In Islamic Boarding School

This paper aims to reveal the empowerment process carried out by BLKK Islamic boarding school and diagnose potential aspects that can be developed in realizing the goal of economic empowerment of Islamic boarding schools. This type of research is field research using a qualitative approach with locus on seven BLKK Islamic boarding schools in four regions, namely; district and city of Blitar, city of Kediri, district of Tulungagung, and district of Trenggalek. Through Kurt Lewin's theory of social change which includes three stages; unfreezing, moving, and refreezing, this paper finds that in the unfreezing and moving stages, all BLKK Islamic Boarding Schools are running well as program assistance is still running. However, at the refreezing stage, many BLKKs were difficult to develop. Because this stage needs to a spirit of entrepreneurship and independence that can take advantage of the existing potential, such as; the open mind set of the Islamic boarding school, the figures and influence of the kiai who can expand the external collaboration network, spreading alumni throughout the communities, and the BLKK building and equipment used as a production house and a place to improve the quality of human resources. The implication is the importance of the entrepreneurial attitude of Islamic boarding school BLKK managers in realizing the economic empowerment of Islamic boarding schools

An exploration of the journey to diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) for women living in Australia.

Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) is an umbrella term for a group of hereditary connective tissue disorders usually featuring hyperextensible skin, easy bruising, poor healing, and joint hypermobility. According to international Ehlers-Danlos support groups, the average time to diagnosis of this rare genetic condition is 10-12 years. Consequently, the journey to diagnosis can potentially be traumatic. This pilot study aims to explore female patients' journey to a diagnosis of EDS while living in Australia. Over six weeks, from January to February 2023, a survey was distributed on EDS social media platforms including Facebook and LinkedIn. Ethical approval was obtained through the Ulster University Institute of Nursing and Health Research Ethics Filter Committee (FCNUR). Thematic and statistical analysis of the anonymous data was completed during March 2023. 152 women completed the survey. More than half of the respondents first noticed symptoms of EDS more than 15 years prior to diagnosis and more than three quarters of respondents received other diagnoses prior to their EDS diagnosis. Most respondents saw their general practitioner, a physiotherapist and/or a rheumatologist prior to being correctly diagnosed with the condition. While some respondents had positive experiences with these health professionals, many felt that they were not listened to and, after doing their own research, had to educate their health professional/s about EDS. This pilot survey demonstrated that the journey to diagnosis of EDS for women in Australia is frequently long and traumatic. Participants indicated that more EDS education and training is needed for health professionals, especially GPs, to improve the diagnostic process. Participants called for their self-reported symptoms to be listened to by health professionals and to be met with empathy and an open mind instead of being dismissed. Additional education and training to health professionals about connective tissue disorders including EDS may aid earlier diagnosis in Australia.

A Study On College Counselors' Professional Well-Being Based On Tao Te Ching

College counselors play a vital role in the growth and success of college students as well as in supporting the teaching staff. The happiness of college counselors directly impacts their effectiveness and the stability of the counseling team, which in turn has a significant influence on achieving the moral education goals of the college. However, the increasing work pressure faced by college counselors in the rapidly developing higher education system in China has not been accompanied by a corresponding increase in their happiness level. To address this issue, this study takes a different perspective by examining the Tao Te Ching, a traditional philosophical text in China.The Tao Te Ching provides insight into the genuine significance of happiness. According to the authors of the Tao Te Ching, true happiness can be attained through cultivating peaceful thoughts, self-awareness, and self-reflection. It involves living a simple and authentic life, and approaching work with fluidity and an open mind. The aim of this study is to enhance the professional happiness of college counselors by examining and applying the principles of happiness found in the Tao Te Ching.

Escala de Mindset Digital Clave: Desenvolvimento e evidências de validade

Abstract Purpose: The digital mindset can be defined as a set of individual behaviors related to the degree of adherence to digital transformations. After reviewing the literature on the subject, this research’s objective was to answer the following question: “Is it possible to measure the digital mindset of employees through a scale designed for the context of Brazilian organizations?”. Originality/value: The digitization of organizations has become the center of business transformation. However, one of the often-overlooked factors in the transition process is developed at the micro-organizational level. Collaborators vary in interest, knowledge, and ability to innovate. A measure to identify individual digital mindset profiles would be essential to guide the planning and development of a digital learning culture mindset. Still, such a tool was not yet found in the Brazilian literature. Design/methodology/approach: A multidimensional digital mindset construct was proposed based on the literature on cognitive structures and digital transformation mindset. Items were prepared to measure the degree of maturity of the construct, described through three digital profiles (open mind, transformer, and entrepreneur) and an analog profile. The scale was submitted to 574 professionals from Brazilian companies for exploratory factor analysis. Findings: The digital mindset scale showed signs of validity, confirming, in the present sample, the mindset dimensions related to the digital environment (Cronbach’s alphas between 0.85 and 0.62).

Logistics customer service management on the example of a manufacturing company

Purpose: The aim of the article is to analyze the operation of company X in the context of logistic customer service in practice. Design/methodology/approach: The idea of the work is to present the theoretical part of customer service and compare it to logistic customer service in practice. It also includes comparisons of practical solutions of company X to theoretical requirements. Findings: The research issue discussed in the article was a survey. Its purpose is to present customer service in Patrick's Day in company X. 81 people of different genders and age groups responded anonymously to the survey questions 15- >60 years. General knowledge of the logistics industry and responses from opinion makers were taken into account. The responses of the surveyed people were presented graphically along with their descriptions. Research limitations/implications: The practical part is intended to reflect the actual compliance of company X with the imposed rules. The Logistics Customer Service Principles were created to ensure a consistent and effective approach to customer service in the context of logistics. Practical implications: The type of customer service strategy depends on the specific goals and needs of a given business. The essence of logistic customer service is the effective management of the flow of products and services from the place of production to the place of consumption in order to meet customer needs. Logistics customer service covers many aspects, such as planning, controlling and monitoring the flow of goods, inventory management, transport, warehousing and coordination of activities between various links in the supply chain. Social implications: Customer service also means the ability to accept customer opinions and comments with an open mind. Customers should be able to express their opinions and complaints and then respond effectively. Originality/value: The article draws attention to the importance of a non-routine approach to the dynamics of opportunities. Modelling Key Drivers of Employee Behaviour for Personal and Professional Excellence.

Though, having right set of behavioural skills is always been a priority of all organizations, nevertheless, today's organizations are investing too much on behavioural skill training to safeguard their brand value, bring-up the work culture, maintaining reputation, etc. Behavioural skills plays a vital role in personal development and well-being at student level also. This paper identifies and analyzes the fourteen behavioural skills which are vital in the personal and professional excellence development of a student. Exhaustive literature review is done and expert opinions are taken to determine the behavioural skills. Interpretive Structural Modelling is performed to analyze and prioritize these skills into strategic, operational and performance outcomes. Behavioral skills are not only depicted in ones' actions but also determines thought process and attitude of a person. Result of this research shows that time management, emotional intelligence, self-development, resilience, multitasking, and open mindedness of an individual are the key behavioural skills that trigger most behaviours and eventually influences the effectiveness of management of personal and professional life. Every job requires specific skills to perform. There are certain skills that must be possessed by every student irrespective of the discipline. It include behavioural skills like human values, resilience, multitasking, communication, etc. Research on behavioral skills and its importance are available in literature. However, the literature is lacking in explaining the interplay of these skills in driving personal and professional journey of an individual. Such skills may not be mentioned in the recruitment advertisements but are vital to perform well.

A Study on the Sanskrit Literature of Mughal Period: A Window Pointing View

Abstract: The current paper illustrates the Sanskrit poets and writers and their works that emerged during the Mughal Period. Sanskrit language and literature have been practiced since the ancient age. Although the popularity had its share of downfall when Pal dynasty had taken over, it revived again when the Sen Dynasty came to power. It was then when the Mughals who put out the stifled literature into the light during their reign. They highlighted the Sanskrit literature and patronized poets and writers who delved deep into the language. Their works were preserved in order to help the language prosper. Although the Mughals were from another religion, they admired the dissimilarities between Sanskrit and the language they practiced. This resulted in a revolution. Their open mindedness opened a new door into the future for Sanskrit language and literature. This paper is an attempt to depict the works that were composed during the era of the Mughals.

Years between 1975_-1990 is considered as an important stage in the history Sulaymaniya since many activities have been till the present time. Moreover Sulaymaniya at that period of time was developing socially, intellectually, and culturally. Furthermore, women were practicing new ideologies and practicing new concepts of freedom which made woman's feeling compared to the other areas in Kurdistan wider. The reason for this shifting beside the pervious mentioned reasons; is that people were more open minded .Therefor, the existence of ,many women figures who broke the traditional norms of life had a great influence on the forms of thinking; among those were the talented writers. University, institution, journals, and the musical groups widened the space for women and enabled them to ride their horses. The establishment Sulaymaniya high school's musical group was the start point for women to practice their freedom and participate in artistic activities.

LANGUAGE POLITENESS ON INSTAGRAM: A CASE STUDY OF PUBLIC OFFICER AT JAKARTA, INDONESIA

Advances in technology at this time not only to open mind but also changed the way humans communicate and interact. Forms of communication that are generally carried out face-to-face have now shifted a lot to virtual forms of communication on social media as intermediaries. Furthermore, communication on social media allows people to speak freely without thinking about language ethics and politeness. This virtual communication not only involves text alone but also uses emotions to represent a picture of their feelings. This research aims to find the use of official language on Instagram social media and to analyze the use of public officials' language when communicating on social media. The social media chosen as the subject of this study is Instagram which is widely used and accessed by internet users. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The data source for this research prioritizes uploads by public officials only. The implementation of data collection in this study was a documentation method by collecting uploads of public officials on Instagram social media. The results of this study found that most public officials in private uploads had impolite comments seen in five factors, namely direct criticism with harsh words, encouragement of the speaker's emotional sense, protective of opinions, deliberately accusing the interlocutor, and deliberately cornered speech partners.

Overcoming the not-invented-here syndrome in healthcare: The case of German ambulatory physiotherapists' adoption of digital health innovations.

Healthcare is characterized by professional, organizational, and institutional boundaries. Digital health innovations can help overcome these boundaries by providing information access to all healthcare professionals. Such innovations emerge from inputs from different health professionals at different positions along the entire care process and have the potential to substantially change the way in which interprofessional tasks are performed among the involved professionals. Consequently, as less empowered professionals, physiotherapists may resist the adoption of digital health innovations in particular if the innovation is dominated by physicians, and thus the not-invented-here syndrome may become a major barrier. We aim to examine whether the origin of a digital health innovation affects German physiotherapists' adoption decision and whether the collaboration quality and physiotherapists' proactive job crafting behavior may help overcome adoption barriers. We applied a mixed-method sequential design with a qualitative study one in which we interviewed 20 physiotherapists to provide exploratory insights, and a quantitative study two in which we tested our proposed hypotheses with survey data including an experimental vignette from 165 physiotherapists. Physiotherapists adopt digital health innovations developed by their own professional group more likely than digital health innovations developed by physicians. Our results also confirm that physiotherapists' job crafting behavior and the quality of the collaboration with physicians weaken the resistance against physician-driven innovations. Our study underlines (1) the need to involve allied health professionals as physiotherapists in digital health innovation development, (2) the relevance of interprofessional collaboration in daily practice and, (3) an open mind set of allied health professionals to cope with innovation adoption barriers.

Influence of the vegan diet on sports performance

Being healthy is a prerequisite for becoming a successful athlete. Most scientific evidence strongly associates a well-planned Vegan diet with health, successful body weight control, a preventive measure and, in some cases, the end and reversal of some of the most common noncommunicable chronic diseases. However, despite the solid health benefits of these diets, Vegan athletes are often confronted with prejudices for unfounded doubts and motives. Through the analysis of existing literature, the objectives of the present study were to explore the various advantages and risks of the Vegan diet for the health of sportsmen and women, whether in the context of competition or not and analyse the influence of this type of diet on the sports performance of athletes, when compared to omnivorous athletes. As can be seen, the literature on this topic is quite scarce and, apparently, performance is not boosted depending on the type of diet adopted. With this knowledge intended to demonstrate that vegan diets are compatible with sports performance, thus being able to encourage athletes and their families, coaches and health and sports experts to have a more open mind when an athlete expresses their desire to adopt a Vegan diet.

Why Literary Translators should embrace Translation Technology

Machine translation (MT) quality has improved significantly with the advent of neural techniques. Some communications about these improvements have been the product of overeager marketing hype, but MT is playing a real role in the lives of many human translators today. MT has even started to be used in pilot studies for the translation of literature, with results that outperformed anticipated outcomes. Nonetheless, its use and uptake as well as the acknowledgement of its potential merit are meeting with a degree of resistance, especially among some more experienced literary translators. In other areas, translators have complained about tools being foisted upon them, and have sought consultation on the design of translation technology. There are examples where translator input into tool design has happened to good effect, but in literary translation per se, translators have been recorded as avoiding such conversations. In this article, we investigate why some literary translators behave differently to their peers in other fields of translation. Finally, we offer pointers as to how translation technology, MT in particular, could benefit literary translators who have an open mind concerning technology.

A Multiple Perspective Approach to Teaching History in a Modern World

Providing a comprehensive study of the history of the world allows for students to see and experience various perspectives. History classes are often Eurocentric, providing only one view of a historical event causing voices to be forgotten and cultures to be cast aside. This lack of exposure is detrimental to personal growth and society. Establishing an inclusive curriculum allows for societal change and fights for power against the “attempts made by dominant social groups to maintain control” (Sleeter, 2018). Being culturally aware and accepting allows a community to be established in the classroom, it allows students to think more open mindedly, and it encourages tolerance and respect. This paper will focus on the impact studying multiple perspectives of historical events has on 10th grade students.

The effects of a psychiatric clerkship on stigmatizing attitudes toward mental disorders as held by German medical students.

According to the United Nations, access to medical care is a fundamental human right. However, there is widespread stigmatization of severe mental illnesses and this appears to seriously hamper the quality of healthcare in people with psychiatric co-morbidity. Thus, interventions that help reduce stigma among healthcare providers are urgently needed. The objective of the current study was to investigate the effects of a psychiatric clerkship on stigmatizing attitudes toward mental disorders held by medical students. Between 2018 and 2019, a total of 256 third- and fourth-year students from Marburg University Medical School (Germany) completed two surveys-one before and one after a 2 week clerkship program that was designed to prioritize direct interaction with the patients. For measuring stigma, the questionnaires contained questions about students' attitudes toward psychiatry (ATP), including the Opening Minds Scale for Healthcare Providers (OMS-HC), Community Attitudes Toward the Mentally Ill (CAMI), and measurements according to the Stereotype-Content Model (SCM). We conducted pre-vs.-post comparisons using the Wilcoxon signed rank test with continuity correction or paired t-test and employed the Spearman method for correlational analysis. We considered p < 0.05 significant and adjusted all p-values reported here using the Benjamini-Hochberg procedure to account for family-wise error. After the clerkship, a significantly reduced stigma was found, as assessed with ATP (mean p < 0.001), OMS-HC (sum and subscale "attitudes" p < 0.001; subscale "disclosure" p = 0.002), and both SCM subscales (p < 0.001). Moreover, we observed significant associations between stigma expression (e.g., OMS-HC sum) and the willingness of students to choose psychiatric residency after finishing medical school (before clerkship: p < 0.001; ρ = -0.35; change after clerkship: p = 0.004; ρ = -0.2). Our findings indicate that a psychiatric clerkship that involves students in direct interaction with patients may effectively reduce stigma. Therefore, we advocate the incorporation of components of direct interaction in medical education to combat stigma and unequal treatment, as this could improve outcomes in patients with severe mental illnesses.

The effect of ADOPT nursing intervention mode on the compliance and quality of life of kidney transplant patients in 1-3 years after surgery

Objective: To explore the effect of ADOPT (Attitude, Definition, Open mind, Planning, Try it out) nursing intervention mode on the living habit compliance, self-monitoring compliance and quality of life of kidney transplant patients in 1-3 years after surgery.Methods: From December 2020 to August 2021, 48 patients in 1-3 years after kidney transplantation who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and were regularly followed up in the Kidney Transplantation Clinic of the Department of Urology Surgery in Baogang Hospital were selected as the research subjects, and 48 kidney transplant patients were divided into the intervention group and the control group by simple random sampling. The control group was given routine nursing care in the Kidney Transplantation Clinic of the Department of Urology Surgery, and the intervention group was given nursing care measuresformulated on the basis of ADOPT nursing intervention mode. The compliance and quality of life of the two groups were compared with the Kidney Transplant Patient Compliance Scale and the Kidney Transplant Patient Quality of Life Related Rating Scale in 1-3 years after surgery.Results: After 2 months and 4 months of intervention, the scores of living habit compliance and self-monitoring compliance in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group (p &lt; .001), and the scores of quality of life in the intervention group and the total score of quality of life were better than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (p &lt; .001).Conclusions: The implementation of the ADOPT nursing intervention mode for kidney transplant patients in 1-3 years after surgery can improve their compliance level and enhance the quality of life, which is worthy of reference.
