Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) as a Waste Processing Strategy to Support Increasing Crop Production: a Review

The study aims to compare various information discussions about LOF viewed from various needs so that complete information is presented, making it easier for practitioners to find information about LOF so that they can practice in many alternative choices, providing an overview of the variation and diversity of problems related to LOF including sources of raw materials, effects of LOF treatment on plants, application techniques and others. Information about LOF is taken from research papers or ideas published in reputable international journals to national journals that have not been accredited. Liquid organic fertilizer can be made from various types of waste such as rice washing water, banana stems, food scraps, market waste, kitchen waste, fish offal, water hyacinth, weed leaves, solid/liquid animal waste (buffalo, cow, goat, rabbit, chicken), shrimp, seaweed, sprouts, catfish waste and coffee grounds. LOF application by spraying or pouring on plants, dilution with a concentration of 1 ml - 60 ml per liter of solution. LOF application has a very real effect to no real effect on plant growth and yield. Liquid organic fertilizer as one of the organic waste processing products to support increased agricultural production.

Standardized surgical procedure for natural orifice specimen extraction surgery of precision functional sphincter-preserving surgery for ultra-low rectal cancer (NOSES-PPS) (2024 edition)

Natural orifice specimen extraction surgery of precision functional sphincter- preserving surgery for ultra-low rectal cancer (NOSES-PPS) is an innovative surgical technique that builds upon traditional laparoscopic surgery for low rectal cancer. This method utilizes a specially designed transparent screw-thread anal dilator and associated equipment to achieve precise tumor localization and resection through direct visualization via the anus. Digestive tract reconstruction is then accomplished using a combination of a precision circular stapler and manual suturing, thereby preserving sphincter function in patients with ultra-low rectal cancer. NOSES-PPS has been widely adopted across multiple provinces and cities in China, with over 500 cases successfully performed to date. The technique and its outcomes have been published in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, receiving significant recognition from the medical community. However, as a novel approach to rectal cancer surgery, there is currently a lack of authoritative clinical practice guidelines detailing the specific procedural steps of NOSES-PPS. To address this gap, the Colorectal Tumor Committee of the Chinese Medical Association, the Colorectal Cancer Committee of the Chinese Anti-cancer Association, and the China NOSES Collaborative Group have jointly led an effort to establish standardized guidelines for NOSES-PPS. This initiative involved the collaboration of experts in colorectal oncology from numerous large medical centers across China. Through multiple rounds of consultation and discussion, these experts have developed a comprehensive set of guidelines that detail the definition of NOSES-PPS, requirements for instrumentation, indications, key operative techniques, and the management of perioperative and postoperative complications. This guideline aims to promote the standardized implementation of NOSES-PPS in clinical practice.

UNVEILING THE BOUNDARIES OF ACCOUNTING: CHARACTERIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF ARTICLES ON INTERNAL CONTROL IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR IN NATIONAL JOURNALS

This study investigates the approach to internal control in the public sector in national academic literature over the last decade. The justification for the study lies in the importance of internal control for efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency in the management of public resources, preventing fraud and corruption. The literature reveals a significant disparity in the quantity and depth of research on internal control in national journals, indicating the need for a more in-depth analysis. Thus, the objective is to map the current panorama of publications on internal control, characterizing the scope of studies, identifying predominant themes and methodologies, and measuring the impact of these studies in academia and practice. The central question is: "What are the main themes, methodologies, and impacts of publications on internal control in the public sector in national accounting journals?" The methodology includes bibliometric analysis of articles published in national accounting journals, using specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection involves identifying relevant articles in an academic database, followed by content analysis to characterize the themes and methodologies adopted. The expected results include identifying an increase in academic interest in the topic, characterizing the main themes and methodologies used, and measuring the impact of these publications on the practice of internal control in the public sector. This study aims to provide information for both academia and professional practice, identifying areas for future research and contributing to the strengthening of internal control and public governance practices.

Trends in the Development of Interactive Flipbooks in Physics Learning in the 2014-2024 Time Range: Literature Review

The history of developing a research topic is significant to study at the beginning of the research. This will assist researchers in shaping current field exploration and future research. This research examines the development trend of using interactive flipbooks in physics learning over the last decade (2014-2024). Through a literature review method from various academic sources, both national and international journals, this article will explore various studies conducted regarding the use of interactive flipbooks in physics learning and the learning theories that underlie the use of interactive flipbooks. The study results found that interactive flipbooks have experienced a significant increase in their use at various levels of physics learning, especially in increasing concept understanding, student involvement, and learning effectiveness. In addition, this literature review also shows a significant increase in the adoption of interactive flipbooks driven by technological advances and the need for more exciting and interactive learning methods. The conclusion is that the development of interactive flipbooks in physics learning has been very significant in the last five years. However, no use of interactive flipbooks has been found in modern physics lectures at the university level.

An Investigation of Studies on Twice Exceptionality in Türkiye

Introduction: Gifted individuals who have at least one type of disability are defined as twice exceptional. Studies on twice-exceptionality are limited in Türkiye. This study systematically examined the studies on twice-exceptionality in Türkiye. Method: We searched the National Dissertation Center and Journal Park of TUBITAK databases. The dissertations/theses and journal articles identified were examined within the inclusion and exclusion criteria framework. As a result, 23 studies were included in the systematic review. Findings: We analyzed the studies under four themes: Non-empirical focus, measurement tools, student-centered characteristics, and teacher-centered characteristics. Findings show that studies on twice-exceptionality are few in Türkiye. Existing studies are mainly descriptive and focus on learning disabilities. In addition, we found that teachers are frequently the participants of the studies. Discussion: Identifying and supporting giftedness and disabilities is essential for twice exceptional students’ academic and socio-emotional development. The identification and support of twice-exceptional students should be more extensively investigated in Türkiye.

Similarities and Dichotomies Between Nature-Based Solutions and Green Infrastructure: a Systematic Literature Review

Objective: The study seeks to address the following question: What are the similarities and dichotomies between green infrastructure (GI) and nature-based solutions (NBS) from the perspective of Brazilian researchers, and how do the identified solutions mitigate the depletion of urban ecosystem services? Method: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA protocol in research within the CAPES Journal database. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were original texts, peer-reviewed, published in national and international journals in Portuguese, covering the themes of NBS, GI, informal settlements, and public open space. After reviewing the 90 identified texts, a final selection of 41 texts was made for the SLR. Originality/Value: These texts were analyzed from a novel perspective, bringing together the themes of GI, NBS, ecosystem services protection, and urban land use. Results and Discussion: The study identified the authors’ views on the pressures of urbanization on ecosystem services and the solutions for their protection. It was concluded that the concepts of NBS and GI are often conflated in most approaches and that adopting urbanization associated with nature faces conceptual, operational, and managerial challenges. Research Implications: The research provides insights into the integration of GI and NBS in urban planning to address the challenges of uncontrolled urbanization and the degradation of ecosystem services.

Visibility of Russian university journals in the systems of national and international scientific and technical information

Current limitations of access to some international journal platforms and bibliographic systems for Russian researchers result in increased role of national journals for communication and knowledge spreading both at domestic and international levels. Consequently, correct information on Russian journals indexation in various bibliographic systems including underestimated open access databases seems to be topical. The analyzed sample includes journals published by Russian universities as the less studied ones compared to serials published by research institutes. We studied journals published by three types of Russian universities, i.e. Federal, National Research and Basic. Rapid increase in the number of new journals in recent years is demonstrated caused by financial support under different programs. Indexing of journals in Web of Science, Scopus, Dimensions and Lens was studied over a period of 2018–2022. In the Dimensions and Lens we also studied the completeness of indexing as these databases index content using other approaches as compared to Web of Science and Scopus. A share of journals indexed by authoritative Russian journal lists Russian Science Citation Index and White List was revealed. The best positions were detected among journals published by National Research universities. However, Basic universities demonstrate positive growth, as well. The obtained results enabled us to conclude that journals published by Russian universities can be regarded as significant strategic information resource for representing Russian research results to international community.

Meta-analysis: the influence of learning styles on critical thinking of science learning

This study aims to investigate whether learning styles significantly affect the critical thinking ability of science learning students. The method in this study is a second-order integrative meta-analysis using many data sets from the results of previous research obtained from as many as 13 research journal articles with literature search using electronic databases using the keywords "Learning style", "Critical thinking", and "Science learning" conducted using the DOAJ, ERIC, Scopus, publish or perish 8.12 websites, research gate and Google Scholar in the form of international and national journals. This analytical study includes research comparing students' learning outcomes using different learning styles with quasi-experimental, experimental, and research and development methods. The results showed that there was a significant influence of learning style on the critical thinking ability of science learning students, with a representation obtained of 1.35 in the "high" category to conclude the effect of the effectiveness of the independent variable, namely the influence of learning style on the dependent variable critical thinking 88%.

The Effect of Audit Quality and Financial Performance on Audit Delay (Empirical Study on LQ45 Companies in 2021-2023)

The financial report is an information medium that is very useful for stakeholders. The financial statements owned by the company can be used for stakeholders to make decisions. Financial statements presented by companies must be audited because audited financial statements can increase the confidence of financial statement users. One of the important factors in financial statements is timeliness. Financial statements can be very useful if financial statements are presented on time, therefore the financial statements presented must be timely so that decision-making can also be taken appropriately. The purpose of this study is to see what factors can affect audit delays. Audit delay is the time difference between the closing date of the book and the date of signing the auditor's report. The sample in this study is companies with the LQ45 index, because LQ45 index companies are companies that have a healthy financial condition. Data will be taken from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website for 3 years. Data analysis will be carried out using SPSS by performing the Classical Assumption Test and the Multiple Linear Regression Test. CORPORATE TAX AGGRESSIVENESS RESEARCH LANDSCAPE: BIBLIOMETRIC MAPPING

The self-assessment mechanism in Indonesia allows companies to independently calculate and report their tax liabilities, potentially encouraging aggressive tax practices. This study aims to identify research trends, main themes, and key factors in Corporate Tax Aggressiveness from 2014 to 2024. The method involved searching for research articles with the keyword "Tax Aggressiveness" in international journals indexed by Scopus, national journals indexed by Sinta through the Garuda website, and national journals using Publish or Perish, resulting in 400 articles. These articles were analyzed using the VOSviewer application. This research utilizes bibliometric analysis to map Corporate Tax Aggressiveness trends over the past decade. The results show a significant annual increase in publications, with VOSviewer identifying 5 clusters and 56 items related to Corporate Tax Aggressiveness research. The study concludes that academic interest in Corporate Tax Aggressiveness is growing, highlighting the importance of this topic in tax literature. The recommendation is to use the identified factors in future research on tax aggressiveness.

BRAZILIAN SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION IN THE FIELD OF ACCOUNTING WITH A FOCUS ON ETHICS

This article presents a review of studies conducted that addressed the relationship between accounting and ethics. The periods analyzed were between 2007 and 2015 in national journals in the area of ​​administration and accounting classified as A2, B1, B2, B3 and B4 by Capes. The theme of ethics is not explored as it should be by business researchers, with only 41 publications in nine years (2007 to 2015). It is concluded that a deep reflection on the subject is necessary, both by professionals and by class entities and their leaders, as well as by the academic community.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH IN THE CARE OF PSYCHIATRIC OUTBREAKS IN URGENCY AND EMERGENCY SETTINGS: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Introduction: patients diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, before the psychiatric reform, were isolated from society and admitted to asylums, in a coercive manner, without ethical and human support from the multidisciplinary treatment team. Objective: to contribute to reflection on care practices and improvement of care for individuals experiencing a psychiatric outbreak directed to the urgent and emergency care network. Method: a theoretical, descriptive, exploratory literature review was carried out in the Virtual Health Library (BVS). The inclusion criteria were articles published between 2019 and 2023, complete, available online, free of charge in national or international journals, in the Portuguese language. Results: seven articles responded to the proposed methodological compliances and criteria and encouraged discussion on the research topic. Conclusion: patients in a psychiatric outbreak were directed to the Emergency Care Units (UPA), but the reception according to law 10.216/2011 is not done with mastery, given that there is a lack of professional qualifications in the multidisciplinary team and difficulties related to the physical structure from the emergency room to specific reception.

EFFECTIVENESS OF PANCASILA AND CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION LEARNING

The national urgency of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in overcoming the moral decadence faced by the nation. Character education in higher education, especially through the mandatory general courses of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, is a solution to form good character in students in accordance with the mandate of Law 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education. The research was conducted in several universities in Pontianak City, focusing on the effectiveness of the courses in fulfilling the effectiveness of the law regarding the implementation of the mandatory curriculum of Pancasila and Citizenship Education courses in the context of local society. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The results of the research will be in the form of reports and articles proposed for publication in accredited national journals. The purpose of this study is to show the effectiveness of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education courses in forming student character, as well as what strategies have been carried out by universities to achieve the effectiveness of MKWK learning in universities in Pontianak City. The results of the research are expected to contribute to building closer cooperation between the government and universities in strengthening character education. This can be done through knowledge exchange, curriculum development, regulations, or other supporting programs to strengthen character learning at the tertiary level.

Literature Review: Factors Affecting the Use of 3-Month Injective Hormonal Contraceptions

According to WHO (World Health Organization), family planning is an action that helps married couples to avoid unwanted births, regulate pregnancy intervals, control the timing of pregnancy in relation to the age of husband and wife and determine the number of children in the family. One factor that increases population is fertility or births. This research is a literature review research using national journals and international journals in English through searches in two databases including Google Scholar and Pubmed. The inclusion criteria used in this study were journals that examined factors influencing the use of 3-month injectable hormonal contraception and had a publication year in the last 10 years. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between factors that influence 3-month injectable hormonal contraception. Based on the articles that have been collected, the research results show that age and level of education are the main factors influencing the use of 3-month injectable birth control contraception. Based on the results of the discussion above, it can be concluded that the factors influencing the use of 3-month injectable contraception are influenced by 1). Age Factor, 2). Weight gain factors 3) Education factors.

ANALISIS PENGARUH SISTEM PAYLATER TERHADAP SIKAP KONSUMTIF MASYARAKAT DARI SUDUT PANDANG HUKUM EKONOMI SYARIAH

In this era, human life is heavily influenced by technology, especially in terms of business. The use of PayLater, which means "buy now, pay later," is one example of the use of advanced technology in the business world. With technological advances in the modern era, especially e-commerce payment systems, SpayLater is becoming increasingly popular. PayLater is a purchase method that allows payments to be made later in a given period of time. In Islamic law, this is called the sale of Istijrar. However, scholars argue that it is a violation of the sale system when the goods to be bought are unknown to the buyer and there are new buyers who want to buy the same goods and set the price after summing up all the prices to pay. In fact, SpayLater can be permitted if the price of the goods has been determined after both parties involved in the transaction prove that the price is consistent with and in accordance with Islamic rules. This research aims to find out how PayLater transactions are used and how Islamic law views such actions. The method used is qualitative descriptive research, in which the author uses library studies, i.e., scientific references from books, national and international journals, al-Qur'an and Hadiths, and fiqih books. Because of its ease of use, SpayLater can make people prefer to buy something, which in turn will encourage them to make online debts. Therefore, knowing the potential risks, customers should be wise in distinguishing between needs and desires.

Population aging management from the perspective of the health field of Iran and other countries: A scoping review

Population aging is one of the challenging phenomena where due to health changes and the importance of different levels of prevention, the country’s health system is most responsible for it. Therefore, it is responsible for providing responsible service and dealing with challenges and obstacles to successfully face the aging phenomenon. In this regard, the study was conducted aiming to identify inefficiencies and solutions to face the phenomenon of population aging from the perspective of the health field in Iran and other countries. The study is a domain review that was conducted by searching for specialized words in Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane, Mbase, and ProQuest databases and the Persian databases of the National Journals Information Bank, the Islamic Jihad Scientific Database, Irandoc, and the World of Islam Citation Database. The findings were analyzed based on 57 articles. In order to validate the findings, the opinions of five experts in the fields of health care management, social medicine, psychology, and health policy were used in the classification and completion of data. According to the findings, the challenges of the health system in facing the aging phenomenon were “inefficiencies of the health system”, “medication and treatment problems”, “costs and financing of the health system”, “inefficiencies related to health system employees”, “information and technology challenges”, “service challenges”, “health literacy and unfavorable lifestyle”, and “individual and social obstacles”, and the solutions to successfully face the aging phenomenon include “formulating laws and executive policies”, “prevention and treatment”, “supplying and developing resources”, “development of knowledge and technological performance”, “development of stakeholders’ participation”, “elderly centered”, and “social determinants of health”. The breadth and diversity of the findings indicate that the health system should be updated and strengthened in various social, economic, political, legislative, and executive dimensions in order to successfully tackle the aging phenomenon, and it should consider empowerment and attitude improvement programs of managers and health staff as well as the elderly.

Using Social Media to Teach About and Engage Residents in Evidence-Based Medicine.

Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is an important concept for family medicine and is part of several Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education milestones. Social media (SM) has become a cornerstone in most of our lives. Previous studies show the use of SM in medical education is expanding. The objective of this study is to use SM for medical education focusing on teaching EBM through an innovative, engaging video series. This quasi-experimental study used pre- and postintervention surveys between May 2022 and June 2022 using the American Board of Family Medicine National Journal Club initiative as a foundation. A total of 196 residents and fellows from various family medicine residency programs were eligible to participate. Surveys consisted of SM usage, EBM engagement, EBM comfort and confidence adapted from a validated tool, and questions about the articles reviewed in the videos. A total of 44 of 196 residents and fellows from various family medicine residency programs participated in the preintervention survey. Most participants identified learning about EBM through residency didactics. The most popular SM platforms were Instagram and YouTube for medical content. Participants were least comfortable on the 10-point scale for critically appraising study methods. Postintervention cumulative scores for knowledge about the journal articles increased from 64% to 85%. The video series taught EBM concepts and were well received, albeit with a low postintervention response rate. These findings contribute to the evolving landscape of medical education with implications for improving the effectiveness of EBM teaching through SM platforms.

MODIFIKASI SERAT ALAM DAN KARAKTERISASINYA SEBAGAI PENGUAT MATERIAL KOMPOSIT

Environmental concerns have influenced a number of researchers to develop nature-based composite materials. These composite materials are composed of fibers and matrix, which are partially or completely derived from nature. Natural fibers are widely applied to reduce the utilization of synthetic fibers. However, natural fibers have hydrophilic properties that make it difficult to interact with the matrix, which tends to be hydrophobic. This condition results in the weak mechanical strength of natural fiber-reinforced composite materials. It is necessary to modify the surface of natural fibers, so that the interaction between natural fibers and the matrix can be improved, so that the resulting mechanical strength also increases. A number of analyses on natural fiber surface modification are discussed in this article to discuss the effect of each natural fiber surface modification method, as well as its characteristics when applied as reinforcement in composite materials. The analysis in this article includes several modification methods such as: alkalization, silane, and acetylation, as well as composite mechanical characteristics such as: tensile strength and elastic modulus. The analysis process is carried out by collecting several reference sources from books, and scientific articles accredited by national or international journals. Among the three methods analyzed, alkalization is the most widely applied method for natural fiber surface modification.
