Purchase intention is seen as the basis for actual purchasing behavior and is crucial for online shopping. Its presence is also synonymous with the underlying response to consumer purchasing behavior. The formation of purchase intention must be continuously monitored as a measure of product presentation success, especially for fashion products available across a wide range of categories and quantities. This study aims to analyze the simultaneous influence of online customer reviews and cash on delivery on purchase intention. Then, we analyze the partial influence of online customer reviews and cash on delivery on purchase intention. This study is a case study. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample size was 103 people. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The study found that online customer reviews and cash on delivery simultaneously influence purchase intention. Online customer reviews and cash on delivery have partial influences on purchase intention.

ABSTRACT Parenting a child with a chronic illness presents unique challenges that can impact the quality of the parent-child relationship. Understanding the factors that influence this relationship is crucial for developing effective support strategies. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of perceived social support and parental self-efficacy on parent-child relationship in parents of child with chronic illness. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 221 parents of children with chronic illnesses. Data were collected using a Sociodemographic form, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), the Parental Self-Efficacy Scale (PSES), and the Parent-Child Relationship Scale (PCRS). There was a significant positive relationship between parents’ perceived social support and self-efficacy levels and positive parent-child relationships, and a significant negative relationship with negative parent-child relationships (p < 0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis has shown that perceived social support and self-efficacy significantly predict the parent-child relationship. These results suggest that providing high social support to parents of children with chronic illnesses can help foster positive parent-child relationships and enhance parental self-efficacy, thereby mitigating the negative impact of chronic illness on the parent-child relationship.

Purpose of the study. The purpose of the study is to determine the possibilities of using dispersion analysis as a tool for increasing business profitability by obtaining and providing clients in real estate agencies with objective criteria information when they provide intermediary and consulting services. Materials and methods. The information base of the study was statistical data on the real estate market of the city of Yaroslavl. Quantitative indexes were assessed for compliance with the normal distribution using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests. When presenting the results of descriptive statistics, the median (Me), lower and upper quartiles (Q1-Q3) were used. Two-factor analysis of variance, nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis tests and Mann-Whitney U-test were used as statistical tools for the study. Dunn’s test with Bonferroni correction was used for performing posteriori comparisons. The exclusion method was used to select data for multiple linear regression. Statistical data processing was performed on a personal computer using the SPSS Statistics v. 27.0 program (SPSS Inc., USA). The significance level was taken to be 0.05. Results. The necessity of using dispersion analysis to improve the efficiency of real estate agencies in providing professional services is substantiated. The concept of criterion information is formulated as a necessary and sufficient volume of data obtained by objective methods to reduce the risk of errors in selecting apartments for clients. The cost per square meter of housing is compared depending on various factors influencing the choice of a professional solution. A multiple linear regression equation is constructed to predict the cost of housing. Conclusion. The author’s model of using the possibilities of dispersion analysis as a tool for forming the necessary criterion information for clients allows increasing the profitability of business in real estate agencies.

Leprosy is a chronic disease that severely affects the skin and nerves, sometimes leading to disability. The deformities deepen stigma and discrimination, even among patients who have been cured. Consequently, leprosy patients are more likely to suffer from mental illnesses than other diseases. A cross-sectional study was conducted in four Chinese provinces (Fujian, Yunnan, Shandong, and Guizhou), including patients who had completed the full course of multidrug therapy (MDT). We assessed anxiety and depression using the SAS and SDS scales, and functional ability using the ADLs. Influencing factors were analyzed with multiple linear regression, and structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to examine the relationships between anxiety, depression. A total of 382 valid questionnaires were received, with a participation rate of 95.5%. Among the participants, 24.08% reported anxiety, 22.51% reported depression, 45.81% experienced impairments in ADLs, and 65.18% had at least one of these conditions. Notably, 3.66% of patients experienced anxiety, depression, and ADL impairments concurrently. Multiple linear regression results showed that the No. of other chronic diseases (P = 0.004), income (P = 0.016), live with patients (P = 0.005), and other ethnic (P<0.001) have a significant correlation with anxiety (R2 = 0.546). Duration of disease (P = 0.014), No. of other chronic diseases (P = 0.000), live with patients (P = 0.015), and live with family (P = 0.040) were associated with depression (R2 = 0.155). SEM results indicated that the paths SDS-SAS, SDS-No.of other chronic diseases, and ADLs-SAS had the highest direct effects of 0.75(95CI%:0.656 ~ 0.834), 0.56(95%CI:0.103 ~ 1.016) and - 0.33(95%CI:-0.490~-0-165). The association between SAS and the (No.of other chronic diseases) was also indirectly influenced by SDS (0.420), exceeding the direct effect (0.040). Similarly, the indirect effect (-0.240) of SAS between SDS and ADLs was higher than the direct effect (-0.100). This study demonstrates that Chinese leprosy patients exhibit high levels of anxiety and depression, which are associated with impaired daily functioning. Mental health is influenced by multiple factors, including comorbid chronic diseases, living arrangements, disease duration, ADLs, income, and ethnicity. SEM revealed that anxiety mediates the impact of depression on functional limitations, highlighting the complex interplay between psychological factors and physical functioning. These findings underscore the need for comprehensive care strategies and psychosocial interventions to improve mental health and overall well-being in leprosy patients.

Abstract Astrocytes are key regulators of sleep and neuroinflammatory responses. However, the relationship between objective sleep parameters and astrocytic fluid biomarkers in cognitively unimpaired individuals remains unclear. We examined how sleep architecture relates to astrocytic, neuroaxonal and Alzheimer’s disease-related fluid biomarkers in cognitively unimpaired adults, and whether age, sex and APOE ε4 moderate these associations. This cross-sectional study included 51 cognitively unimpaired participants from the Sant Pau Initiative on Neurodegeneration cohort. One-night in-lab polysomnography was used to quantify sleep architecture, fragmentation, slow-wave activity, and respiratory parameters. CSF biomarkers included glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), chitinase-like-3 protein 1 (YKL-40), Aβ42, Aβ40, pTau181, and tTau; plasma biomarkers included GFAP and neurofilament light chain (NfL). Associations were analyzed using Spearman correlations, multiple linear regression, and moderation models, adjusting for age, sex, body mass index, APOE ε4 status, and sleep apnea. Lighter and more fragmented sleep, characterized by longer N1 duration, increased wake after sleep onset, frequent stage transitions, and elevated cortical arousal, was associated with higher CSF YKL-40, Aβ40, pTau181 and tTau (rho = 0.32 to 0.62, all p<0.05). In contrast, deeper, more consolidated sleep, indicated by longer total time of sleep, greater N3 duration, and higher slow-wave activity, was associated with lower CSF GFAP and YKL-40 (rho = -0.35 to -0.44, all p<0.05). These associations remained significant in adjusted regression models. Plasma GFAP and NfL exhibited an inverse profile, with positive associations with deeper sleep (β: 0.16 to 0.18, p < 0.05) and negative associations with lighter sleep stages (β: –0.23 to –0.29, p < 0.01). REM sleep was also associated with astrocytic fluid biomarkers, with negative correlations for CSF and plasma GFAP (rho = -0.49 and rho = -0.28, respectively, all p<0.05), while in regression models REM duration remained a negative predictor of plasma GFAP (β = -0.23, p = 0.003) and a positive predictor of CSF YKL-40 (β = 0.12, p = 0.037). Notably, APOE ε4 consistently moderated associations between sleep and CSF YKL-40 and GFAP, while age and sex influenced plasma GFAP and CSF YKL-40, respectively (all p<0.05). In cognitively unimpaired adults, sleep architecture is differentially associated with central and peripheral biomarkers of astrocytic activation, neuroaxonal integrity and Alzheimer’s disease-related proteins. These findings support the importance of considering sleep as a key factor in the early pathophysiology of neurodegenerative disease.

Health anxiety (HA) is a growing concern among medical students due to their continuous exposure to illness-related content, academic stress, and self-monitoring tendencies. While some studies suggest an association between HA and health-related behaviors, findings remain inconclusive, especially particularly among Chinese medical students. This study aimed to examine the relationship between HA and health-related behaviors. This cross-sectional study was conducted among 2,283 Chinese medical students. Participants completed standardized self-report measures assessing demographic characteristics, HA (via the Chinese Short Health Anxiety Inventory, CSHAI), body mass index (BMI), smoking status, dietary patterns, and physical activity levels (via the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form, IPAQ-SF). Group differences were examined using independent-samples t-tests and chi-square tests. Multiple linear regression was performed to identify factors associated with HA. Approximately one-third of the students reported clinically HA. Among participants, 46.3% were classified as physically inactive and 40.3% were overweight or obese. Additionally, 9.55% were current smokers, and 36.4% reported an unhealthy diet pattern. No significant differences were observed between students with and without HA in terms of BMI, smoking status, or dietary habits (p > 0.05). However, weekly physical activity level was significantly lower among students with HA compared to those without HA (p < 0.001). In regression analysis, physical activity was negatively associated with HA (p < 0.001), indicating that higher levels of physical activity were related to lower HA scores (β= - 0.343). Lower physical activity was associated with higher HA, suggesting that promoting physical activity may be a relevant in efforts to reduce HA among medical students.

The involvement of a caregiver is fundamental in the process of caring for a person with eating disorders (ED). The aim of this study is to evaluate the functioning of family unit and the emotional burden of caregivers of individuals with ED treated at an outpatient service. We contacted by telephone the caregivers of individuals in care at ED Centre of the AUSL-Modena and selected a sample of 50 caregivers of 42 individuals with ED, who provided their informed consent. The following scales were administered to caregivers: caregiver burden inventory (CBI), Beck's depression inventory (BDI), family assessment device (FAD), depression, anxiety and stress-scale (DASS-21). The following scales were administered to the care recipients: global assessment of functioning and clinical global impression severity scale. Demographic variables relating to the individuals with ED and their caregivers were collected: sex, age, employment situation, marital status, number of family members, living condition, family role. Clinical variables of care recipients were collected: body mass index, ED diagnosis, duration of ED and treatment and care at ED centre, medical complications, psychiatric comorbidities, substance use. The data was statistically analyzed. All caregivers were the parents of individuals with ED, in particular the mother (76%), and were employed. Caregivers reported a mild to moderate emotional burden in CBI and mild to severe depressive symptoms in BDI in 62% of cases. Family functioning reported by FAD scale was slightly altered in the areas of "communication", "roles" and "affective involvement". Most care recipients were females (98%), suffering from anorexia nervosa (85.6%) with an average age of 18.54 ± 4.74. At multiple linear regression, two statistically significant associations were underscored with CBI score (dependent variable): the age of individuals in a negative way and the psychiatric comorbidities of the individuals with ED in a positive way. The parents of sons with ED represented their caregivers, who suffered from a mild emotional burden and depressive symptoms and lived in altered family functioning, especially in communications. Ensuring psychological support for the caregiver may be useful for improving both caring and family relationships.

This study aims to explore the relationship between psychological resilience, vagal tone (heart rate variability [HRV]), and social adaptation, with a focus on the mediating role of HRV in the impact of psychological resilience on social adaptation. It also seeks to provide theoretical support for mental health interventions for left-behind children from a non-pharmacological perspective. This study employed a cross-sectional design with cluster sampling to select 2 middle schools in the urban-rural fringe of Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province, with a total of 312 left-behind children as the research subjects. Of these, 156 children were in the high-resilience group and 156 were in the low resilience group. The Youth Resilience Scale and the Adolescent Social Adaptation Scale were used to assess resilience and social adaptation. HRV was measured using portable equipment to assess high-frequency power (HF) and pNN50. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), Pearson correlation analysis, mediation effect testing, logistic regression, and multiple linear regression. The high-resilience group showed significantly better HRV (HF and pNN50) and social adaptation compared to the low resilience group (all P <.001). Psychological resilience was significantly positively correlated with HRV (R = 0.59-0.81) and social adaptation (R = 0.95). Mediation analysis revealed that both HRV-HF and HRV-pNN50 partially mediated the relationship between psychological resilience and social adaptation (indirect effects = 0.25, 95% CI did not include 0). Logistic and multiple regression analyses further confirmed that psychological resilience (B = 2.12, P <.001) and HRV-pNN50 (B = 0.14, P = .005) were important positive predictors of social adaptation. Psychological resilience is significantly associated with better social adaptation among left-behind children, and this relationship may be partially explained by vagal tone (HRV), which plays a potential mediating role. This study provides physiological support for HRV-based non-pharmacological psychological interventions and holds significant theoretical and practical value.

Frailty prevention is essential in older adults, as oral frailty and hypofunction are linked to increased risks of physical frailty, dependency and mortality. Declines in integrated oral functions, particularly mastication and swallowing, can reduce dietary diversity, impair nutrition and accelerate frailty progression. Although oral hypofunction tests are used for screening and management, the underlying mechanisms and priorities for targeted interventions remain unclear. To investigate the associations between declines in masticatory and swallowing functions and specific oral functional impairments among dental outpatients. In this cross-sectional study, we included 204 outpatients aged ≥ 50 years (mean age: 77.1 ± 8.5 years) who underwent oral hypofunction tests for the first time. Data were collected on systemic health and seven oral function domains: oral hygiene, oral dryness, occlusal force, tongue-lip motor function, tongue pressure, masticatory function and swallowing function. Pearson's correlation and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted, adjusting for age, sex and comorbidities. Masticatory function decline was significantly associated with reduced occlusal force and posterior tongue-lip motor function. Swallowing function decline was significantly associated with reduced tongue pressure and anterior tongue-lip motor function. Masticatory and swallowing functions are closely linked to occlusal force, tongue strength and tongue motor function. These findings highlight the need for targeted oral function training, especially of the tongue and occlusal system, to maintain dietary intake and support frailty prevention in older adults.

Obesity and poor dietary habits are thought to explain high liver fat content in type 2 diabetes, but they are increasingly common among individuals with type 1 diabetes. Whether people with type 1 diabetes are at an increased risk of liver fat accumulation remains unclear. We aimed to compare liver fat content in people with type 1 diabetes, with type 2 diabetes and without diabetes. Data were derived from The Maastricht Study, a population-based cohort study. We matched people with type 1 diabetes to those with type 2 diabetes and those with normal glucose metabolism (1:2:2 matching) based on BMI, sex, age and educational level. MRI was used to estimate liver fat content. Liver fat data were log-transformed. We performed multiple linear regression analyses to compare the liver fat content between the three groups, adjusted for potential confounders including CVD risk factors, lifestyle, dietary factors, insulin use and estimated glucose disposal rate (eGDR). We included 29 individuals with type 1 diabetes, 58 with type 2 diabetes and 58 with normal glucose metabolism. The median liver fat content in type 1 diabetes was lower than in type 2 diabetes (2.1% [IQR 1.1-3.3] vs 4.9% [IQR 2.2-9.6], p=0.001), but did not differ from that in individuals with normal glucose metabolism (2.6% [IQR 1.8-3.8], p=0.064). The difference in liver fat content between the two diabetes groups was independent of BMI, lifestyle factors, CVD risk factors and dietary factors, but attenuated after adjustment for eGDR and insulin treatment. The liver fat content of individuals with type 1 diabetes was comparable to that of people without diabetes and lower than that in those with type 2 diabetes. This difference was independent of the level of obesity, dietary factors and other potential confounders, but was partially explained by insulin sensitivity and insulin treatment.

Although volunteer service in Indigenous communities provides valuable experiential learning for nursing students, its impact on clinical competence remains underexplored. This study investigated associations among volunteer motivation, self-efficacy, and clinical competence in nursing students serving Indigenous communities. A cross-sectional, descriptive study was carried out among nursing students enrolled in five-year vocational and two-year technical programs in eastern Taiwan. Data were collected between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2023, using structured questionnaires: the volunteer motivation scale, volunteer self-efficacy scale, and clinical internship competence scale. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple linear regression. A total of 123 nursing students were initially recruited; ten participants were excluded due to incomplete responses or withdrawal, yielding a final sample of 113 students (92% response rate; aged 17-25). Participants exhibited elevated levels of volunteer motivation (M = 94.42, SD = 10.30) and self-efficacy (M = 86.58, SD = 9.13), with moderate clinical competence (M = 58.04, SD = 6.88). Significant positive correlations were observed between clinical competence and both volunteer motivation (r = .87) and self-efficacy (r = .85). Stepwise multiple regression identified self-efficacy (β = 0.58, p < .001), internship grade (β = 0.14, p = .001), and volunteer motivation (β = 0.31, p = .001) as significant predictors, explaining 79% of the variance in clinical competence. Structured volunteer service in Indigenous communities appears to enhance nursing students' clinical competence, likely through increased motivation and self-efficacy. Integrating such experiences into nursing education may better prepare students for diverse clinical settings and improve readiness to address community health disparities. Future curricula should consider systematically incorporating structured, culturally responsive volunteer programs. Longitudinal studies are recommended to assess the long-term impact on professional development and health outcomes in underserved populations.

Adequate health literacy (HL) can be particularly important among pregnant women, as it can have an impact on maternal and fetal health. Deliberate intake of folate through food and folic acid supplementation (FAs) is essential for women in reproductive age. Dietary intake of methyl-group donors (MGDs) via maternal nutrition may influence the infant's health and may affect reproductive outcomes through epigenetic mechanisms. The aim of our study was to assess HL in relation to (MGD) intake among pregnant women, and to assess health knowledge as part of health literacy. 124 pregnant women were involved in this cross-sectional study. Data were collected using two validated HL questionnaires, and a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) to estimate MGD intake. Statistical analyses included the calculation of means, correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analysis. The HL of pregnant women was found problematic (50.8% Newest Vital Sign Test, NVS; 46.7% Brief Health Literacy Screening Tool, BRIEF). The estimated intake of dietary folate, methionine, choline and betaine were 264.7 ± 134.6µg/d; 2303 ± 1209mg/d; 248.1 ± 110.8mg/d, and 127.1 ± 65.8mg/d (mean ± standard deviation, SD), respectively. Before pregnancy 58.87% of respondents did not take FAs; during pregnancy, this decreased to 31.45%. Pregnant women did not reach adequate HL. Further evaluation of health literacy, MGD intake, is required to formulate suitable nutritional intake for pregnant women in Hungary. It is suggested that providing better information to pregnant women could improve their adherence to folic acid supplementation recommendations.

Youth with an immigrant or refugee background face elevated mental health risks. Schools have been proposed as a suitable setting for mental health interventions for this group, but evidence on effects is limited, and even less is known on dosage impact. Using variations in intervention exposure due to COVID-19 school closures, this study examined the association between the number of modules of the Welcome to School intervention and mental health and resilience outcomes among young immigrant and refugee newcomers. In 2019-2020, 11-22-year-old newcomer immigrants and refugees in Denmark, Belgium and Norway were cluster randomised by schools/classes into a control and intervention group. Mental health and resilience outcomes were measured at baseline and following the intervention using the strengths and difficulties questionnaire and the child and youth resilience measure. Due to COVID-19 school closures, the intervention group received different amounts of the 14-modules Welcome to School intervention. Using data from 147 participants, multiple linear regression analyses were performed. Adjusting for age, gender, resettlement country, and migration reasons, the analyses showed that the emotional symptoms score decreased by 0.19 (95% confidence interval 0.06; 0.32) per Welcome to School module received. No significant dose-response associations were found for resilience scores or the other studied mental health outcomes (i.e. total difficulties, conduct problems, hyperactivity, peer problems, and prosocial behaviour). The Welcome to School intervention appears to have the potential to reduce emotional difficulties among young newcomers in case of sufficient intervention dose. Further studies are needed to assess the effectiveness of the full intervention.

To evaluate primary healthcare (PHC) nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and confidence in dengue-related practice and to identify predictors of confidence. A multicenter cross-sectional survey. The study was conducted from May to August 2024 with 488 PHC nurses from 85 PHC units across 21 provinces in Indonesia. Established questionnaires measuring knowledge, attitudes, and confidence in dengue-related practice were translated into Indonesian and psychometrically tested prior to use. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, Pearson's correlations, and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS for Windows, version 27.0. The mean knowledge score was 4.3 (SD = 1.3) out of 7, indicating insufficient knowledge. The mean attitude score was 28.4 (SD = 4.3) out of 35, reflecting generally positive attitudes toward dengue prevention. The mean confidence score was 19.1 (SD = 3.5) out of 25, suggesting moderate confidence in dengue-related practice. Higher education (B = 0.78), familiarity with national guidelines (B = 1.01), greater knowledge (B = 0.22), and more positive attitudes (B = 0.33) significantly predicted confidence levels. These predictors explained 23% of the variance in confidence scores. PHC nurses demonstrated insufficient dengue-related knowledge, positive attitudes, and moderate confidence in clinical practice. Confidence was significantly associated with higher education, familiarity with national guidelines, greater knowledge, and more positive attitudes toward dengue prevention. These findings highlight the need to increase nurses' awareness and use of dengue national guidelines and to implement targeted professional development programs to enhance dengue management competence, although the use of convenience and snowball sampling may limit generalizability. This study addresses the limited research on PHC nurses' confidence for dengue management. It found that higher education, guideline familiarity, knowledge, and attitudes significantly predicted confidence. This study adhered to the STROBE checklist. No patient or public involvement.

While creativity is considered essential for students' academic and artistic development in music education, limited attention has been given to fundamental emotional and cognitive factors that shape creative thinking. Addressing this gap, the current study aims to investigate the relationship between creative thinking dispositions, emotional intelligence, cognitive control/flexibility among higher education students in music education. Using a relational survey model, data were collected from 152 higher education students studying in the Department of Music Education. The Marmara Creative Thinking Dispositions Scale, Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form, and Cognitive Control and Flexibility Questionnaire were used as data collection tools. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted to analyze data. The findings revealed that music students' creative thinking dispositions, emotional intelligence traits and cognitive control/ flexibility are above the moderate level. It is found that emotional intelligence and cognitive control/flexibility significantly contribute to creative thinking dispositions. These findings suggested that while both cognitive control/flexibility and emotional intelligence played crucial roles in enhancing musical creativity, cognitive control/flexibility emerged as the stronger predictor. Based on these, music education curricula should aim to create a balanced approach that supports both cognitive adaptability and emotional sensitivity, equipping students with the necessary skills for musical creativity and performance resilience.
