Asesmen Cepat Kerentanan Bangunan Sekolah Muhammadiyah Terhadap Gempabumi di Kecamatan Kasihan Bantul DIY

School buildings are included as buildings with risk category IV (SNI 1726: 2012) because it is potentially causing multiple casualties if earthquakes occur during school hours. Therefore the readiness of school buildings to face the earthquakes should be prepared well. First of all, a rapid vulnerability assessment of the existing building under earthquake needs to be conducted. If the buildings are vulnerable then it should be followed by a strength check. This research objective is to assess the vulnerability of Muhammadiyah school buildings which are located in Kasihan sub-district of Bantul Regency, using Rapid Visual Screening FEMA 154-2002. There are 8 buildings, consist of elementary, middle school, and senior high school which are scattered in Tirtonirmolo, Tamantirto and Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul regency. According to FEMA 154-2002, the observation result finds that 4 schools indicated to have structure vulnerability under earthquake hazard so they need further analysis to know more detail about their strength. While the other 4 buildings do not need further analysis. The results of this study can be used as a recommendation for the Muhammadiyah Basic and Secondary Education Council (Majelis Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah) to conduct more detailed testing for school buildings that are have vulnerabilites. In addition, this research method also can be extend to school buildings or non-school buildings in other areas.

IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TAI ( TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION ) DALAM PEMEBLAJARAN FIQIH PADA SISWA MTS MUHAMMADIYAH 06 BANYUTENGAH TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION IN LEARNING FIQH AT THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OF 06 BANYUTENGAH, Essay: Faculty of Islamic Religious Education of Muhammadiyah Gresik University, 2016.
 The purpose of this thorough is the low interest in learning and lack of cooperation each other in the class so that make the state of the class is not condusive, to solve the problem doing this research to know the implementation of the Team Asssisted individualizataion process, the obstacles of that faced, and the effort will be undertaken for reach the purpose.
 This research was conducted at the Junior High school of Muhammadiyah 06 Banyutengah. The subject of the research is student in grade VIII the school years of 2016/2017 with the number of student 21. The data collected in the form of Observation result, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques used is perform data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The result of this study obstacles encountered in the application of cooperative learning models of the Team Assisted Individualization is influential in the less maximal application of this model, however with thw effort of teachers, the learning process can run well in the line expectations.

PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER ‘TIDAK MEROKOK’ DI SEKOLAH MUHAMMADIYAH DI KOTA KRETEK

Educating students not to smoke is one of the goals of character education in schools. This study aimed to illustrate how character education “does not smoke” in muhammadiyah schools in the Kudus City. The researcher selected the Muhammadiyah school and took place at Kudus, for various reasons. The Kudus City is known as the City of Kretek, while the Assembly of Tarjid and Tajdid Muhammadiyah issued illegal laws for people who smoke. In addition, the cigarette industry in Kudus also supports school facilities and infrastructure. This makes the researchers want to know the picture of non-smoking education at the Muhammadiyah Kudus School. The subjects were PDM cadres in Kudus City, Muhammadiyah Teachers and Muhammadiyah High School Principals in Kudus. Data were retrieved by using observation and interview technique. The results of this study were (1) Some teachers have a dilemma to convey strict smoking ban in schools because Cigarette industry has a big role in the development of Muhammadiyah schools; (2) The punishment for students who smoke remains strictly enforced in all three schools; (3) Educators are trying to be role models through not showing smoking behavior in schools; (4) The School Party does not cooperate with parents to prohibit students smoking outside school; (5) There is no difference in the smoking ban regulations in the three Muhammadiyah Schools before and after the Fatwa Haram issued by Majelis Trajih and Tajdid Muhammadiyah Central Executive.

MOVING IJTIHAD AND TAJDID ON AMAL USAHA MUHAMMADIYAH (AUM) IN BUILDING THE CIVILIZATION OF ISLAMIC ECONOMY

Muhammadiyah declares that the gate of ijtihad (reasoning) and tajdid (modernization) were being yet continued. Ijtihad was the base core to establish the main character of Muhammadiyah as a Modern Islamic Modernization Movement. Then, the establishment on tajdid (modernization) grows as a motor to improve the system of its movement on finding the solution to ideology problem, politic, business, social, cultural, and defence. Muhammadiyah, which the first time moved on social-religious track, was still upbringing to comprehend and rolling in the progressivity of Moslem society as in the case Indonesia. By ijtihad (reasoning) and tajdid (modernization), the role-model of Muhammadiyah as a social-religious movement grows its root on business practice. The Council of Business and Enterpreneurship (MEK) of Muhammadiyah schedules on developing the House for Charity of Muhammadiyah (AUM). Dawam Rahardjo (2000) confirms, a large number of member and institution will represent as a comparative advantage capital resources to the movement of Muhammadiyah. Those resources orchestrate Muhammadiyah as an organization which is not only moves on social-education-and-religious practices, but as well in business and finance. At least, there are two reasons why Muhammadiyah rolls in business practice. <em>Firstly</em>, Muhammadiyah perform to roll in this business merit by the image of intechangible advantages to other charities: as well as schools, hospitals or religious calls. <em>Secondly</em>, Muhammadiyah sustains a potential power to organize those. That is supported by the fact that there are many beureucrates possess in higher structural of Muhammadiyah, the large number of human resources out-put by Muhammadiyah schools, the enterpreneurs possessions, and large number of its members. This paper researches the Muhammadiyah-Nomic, the contribution of ijtihad and tajdid on Charitable Enterprises of Muhammadiyah (AUM) in building the civilization of Islamic economy.

Pengembangan Model Penilaian Portofolio dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Lesson Study di SMP

The objective of this study is to know deeply the implemantation of portofolio evaluation model in teaching learning mathematics based on lesson study. This qualitative research was done at three SMP Muhammadiyah schools at Sukoharjo residence, teachers and students as a subject of the study. Data were collected by interview, test, and documentation, then analysed by interactive model. The results are (1) the teachers of the three schools do not understand completely yet about of portofolio evaluation model in teaching learning mathematics based on lesson study, process of the development from planning (making lesson study until making portofolio); (2) at the stage doing, the teachers have done correctly as stated on Lesson Plan; (3) on the reflecting, the teachers have made the students active in learning.

PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK DALAM PRAKTIKUM BIOLOGI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 6 PALEMBANG

This research about �Influence Project-Based Learning In Biology Lab to Process-Science Skills Of Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang. Project-based learning is a innovative model of learning, and more emphasis on contextual learning through activities complex. Science learning is currently lacking promoting science process skills ( KPS ), where as aspects of process science skills is the main basic of learning science in the laboratory. This research was conducted in Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang . This research aims to know the effect of project-based learning in biology lab about process science skills of junior high shcool of Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang. Population in this research is class VIII which number to 122 and the sample of 41 to use from class VIII.3. To measure the students process science skills to use instruments such as observation sheets , test and questionnaire . Testing the hypothesis of the research is based on analysis of simple regretion linear showed that there were significant effect at project-based learning in biology lab about process science skills with test F at standard 5% which Freg> Ftabel that is 15,90 > 4.10 and the average percentage of process science included in good categories. It can be concluded that the project-based learning in biology lab influencing process science skills of Junior High School Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang.

The history of the development of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman Yogyakarta from 1980 to 2015

The purpose of the research is to reveal (1) the historical background of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman, (2) the development of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman from 1980 to 2015, and (3) the learning model which is applied at SD Muhammadiyah Kauman. This research used the historical research method focusing more on the development of the history SD Muhammadiyah Kauman Yogyakarta from 1980 to 2015. There were five steps in this study: choosing topics, heuristics, primary source, secondary sources and critical resources when collecting the data. The techniques of collecting data are interview, documentation, observation, books and literature study. The result of this research shows that SD Muhammadiyah Kauman after the collaboration with SD Muhammadiyah Sapen makes good progress in administration of school, an increase of the number of students, and infrastructure of the school which gets better than before. The development of quality and quantity of students from year to year. The other result is the model of learning which is applied at SD Muhammadiyah Kauman is accordance with the needs of IPTEK, model of learning through playing, observation, and discussion between the teacher and the students, and to find ideas of student himself through reading books in the school library.Keywords: Education, the school of Muhammadiyah, curriculum

PEMIKIRAN PENDIDIKAN MUHAMMAD ABDUH DAN PROSES MODERNISASI PESANTREN DI INDONESIA

Muhammad Abduh is one of Salaf-Sufism figure who has rational Islamic concept in modern era. He was a reformer rational concept. He said that muslim’s deterioration happened because of muslim was contaminated by unbending (jumud) in many aspects; language, Islamic law (syariah), faith and society system. For Islamic context in Indonesia, Abduh’s concept has placed important role of Islamic history in Indonesia. For example, Muhammadiyah organization. It is the proof and the result of Muhammad Abduh’s reformism in islam. As the admiration to Muhammad Abduh, Ahmad Dahlan as the founder of Muhammadiyah, include Muhammad Abduh’s concept in curriculum of Muhammadiyah Schools, especially in Risalah Tauhid.

This article examines about improving the education quality of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo as the Outstanding School of Muhammadiyah. This article reveals that the quality improvement of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo was conducted through: the arrangement of school program and self evaluation, the reinforcement of vision, mission and education objective, the reinforcement of leadership and teamwork, the improvement of teachers and educators competence, the improvement learners quality input, the development of curriculum and learning, the development of school culture, the development of facilities and infrastructure, the development of community service, the cooperation of education and student exchange, the mobilization of education funding resources, the develop-ment of SIM, monitoring and evaluation, and education quality system. The management quality of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo was run through input-process-output formula. The process of quality containes the process of quality planning, main process, supporting process, dan quality improvement process. Factors supporting the quality improvement are: Muhammadiyah’s popular name, the doctrine of education quality improvement, the leadership of TORSIE paradigm, the school academicians’ spirit of gaining achievement, the synergy of school academicians, the appropriate facilities, and the supports of all stakeholders.

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TEACHING DENGAN LANGKAH-LANGKAH TANDUR TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES BELAJAR SISWA MATERI SEL KELAS XI DI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PALEMBANG

This research entitled "The Influence of Learning Quantum Teaching Model With Tandur Steps on The Skills Student Learning Cells Material for XI grades In Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang" This research was motivated by a teacher-centered learning model. This consequent of this model, was the learning takes place in one direction and the students have less opportunity to see the real phenomenon or media related material. The fact indicates that the methods used by teachers in teaching is dominated by the use of conventional methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of quantum teaching model with measures against graft in Process Skills on Sel Material. The sample was a class XI 2 with 30 students and class XI 3 with 30 students. Methods of data collection using performance assessment. The analysis of the data used is a statistical test by using a statistical formula t test. The df = 58, a significant level of 0.05 for t-table value of 1.672 while the value t count of 5,433. The analysis mean is an effect of the quantum teaching model on the students learn skill for cell material in grades XI Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang.

SELF CONCEPT, SELF ESTEEM AND SCHOOL SYSTEM: THE STUDY OF COMPARATION BETWEEN FULLDAY SCHOOL AND HALFDAY SCHOOL IN PURWOREJO

Abstract: Self concept and self esteem are two psychological aspects that need to be attention in learning at school because a high of self concept and self esteem can influence students success in their learning. The objective of this research is to know about the differences about self concept and self esteem among elementary students with full day school and half day school system. The method used in this observation is comparison by comparing self concept and self esteem of elementary students with full day and half day system. The population of this research is 3 fullday Islamic elementary schools and 6 halfday Islamic elementary schools. The sample of this research is SD Islam Al-Madina as fullday school and SD Muhammadiyah Purworejo as halfday school. The data is gotten by the scale, observation, interviews and documentation. The result shows that there are no significant differences between self concept (t=0,096 with df :47) and self esteem (t=0,396 with df :47) among student who study in full day school and half day (regular) school system so it means that school system doesn’t influence the quality of self concept and self esteem.Keywords: self concept, self esteem, full day school, half day school.

Indonesia Education Today: Dating Back Its History of Islam and Imparting European Education System

<p>History of education in Indonesia dates back with its multicultural notion and acculturation since many years ago from Hindu Empire till the Islamic ruler. Later on in the colonial era, European education system gave much influence in Indonesia modern education. It was as if two sides of coin, the coming of European countries, such as Portugal and Dutch in Indonesia carried out lot of miseries on the other hands it also contributed to foster of modern education system in Indonesia. This paper is aimed to examine the influence of Islam and Europe influences to Indonesia Education. Modern Islamic Boarding Schools and Muhammadiyah (name of the biggest Modern Islamic Organization in Indonesia) Schools are the typical of the combination between European and Islamic education system synergy. The ethnography method with the participant –observation is used to get the dept observation and identification of the two different cultural contexts. Although, Many Modern Islamic Boarding Schools or Modern Pesantren and Muhammadiyah Schools have been risen up in Indonesia today, otherwise Pesantren with its traditional system are still existed in Indonesia.</p>

Upaya Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa Kelas Vii Smp Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta Melalui Penerapan Pendekatan Pembelajaran Problem Posing

<p><em>Problem-solving ability is one of the objectives to be achieved in mathematics. This capability is not only used in solving problems related to the field of mathematics, but can be used in solving the problems faced by students in the day-to-day life. One way to develop this ability in mathematics learning is learning by problem posing approach. This approach gives the opportunity for students to formulate questions that are simpler than the available problems. This research aims is to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving of students of grade VIIA, Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta through learning “problem solving”. This is a classroom action research; with the subject of the research were seventh grade students of Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta. The results of study showed that the approach can enhance the ability of posing a problem-solving mathematical, grade VII A Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong> : <em>Problem posing, problem solving ability</em></p>

MODEL PELATIHAN GURU IPS, IPA TEMATIK TERPADU KURIKULUM 2013 DI SEKOLAH DASAR MUHAMMADIYAH KARTASURA

The Aim of community service are; 1)Training of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, 2) To improve the professional skills of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, 3) To produce the guidance system of the teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum, 2013 in Muhammadiyah schools Kartasura. This is the approach of community service workshops, training and mentoring learning of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum, 2013. The participants of Master of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences in SD Muhammadiyah Kartasura, His place in the School of Muhammadiyah Kartasura. The result of this devotion implementation; 1) Training of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, using techniques to observe, to question, to reason, to try and form a network, and implemented with the collaboration system, using the three steps of the learning; introductory, core and cover. 2) To improve the professional skills of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, using cooperative learning model learning with instructionalstrategies PBL (Problem Based Learning), DCL (descovery Learning), Jigsaw. Third this learning strategy, capable of creating a class to become a haven for students, namely; happy atmosphere for learners in the following study. This learning strategies,can improve learning achievement, namely; No increase in the value pretest to posttestvalues, namely: pretest values> 60 = 50%: postes values> 69 = 100%. 3) The resultingmodel of training primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences basedintegrated thematic curriculum in 2013 is a model mentoring based learning lesson study, with three stages (plan-do-see).

Konsumsi Gadget Siswa Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Kota Yogyakarta

Digital natives refer to a generation thatfavours speed, where by communication is done quickly and the information is spread instantly. There is a worry against social and cultural implication of the use of gadget among children. There is also another worry against the impact of mass culture to the mindset and lifestyle of the young generation and the community in general. New technologt is suspected as being used more for recreational rather than educational purposes. Productive activities such as learning, socializing, and deeper probing af precious traditional values will simply be replaced by intense exposure to receational information technology. The study aims at I) comprehensively identifying gadget consumption behavior of school children at Muhammadiyah elementary school of Yogtakarta Municipality using descriptive method that describes naturally the pltenomena and condition with no hypothesis. Informants of the study are gadget users of 10-12 years old at Muhammadiyah elementary schools of Yogyakarta Municipality, i.e. Sokonandi, Karangkajen and Pakel Muhammadiyah elementary schools; 2) describing the behavior and the practice of using gadget by respondents. Interview is conducted freely, even some of the respondents are unaware they are being interviewed. Data are collected through ethnographic approach, by developing the relation between the interviewer and interviewee. The result show that there is no need to worry about the use of gadgets in Muhammadiyah School of Yogyakarta Municipality.

PERAN GANDA DAN PENGEMBANGAN KARIER GURU-GURU PEREMPUAN DI SEKOLAH MUHAMMADIYAH DI KOTA SURAKARTA

The aims of this research gender are to describe; 1) The women teachers background at Muhammadiyah school – Surakarta have no ambition to be principal and 2) the relation with doubled role as house wife and teacher. The research subject is case study of women teachers at Muhammadiyah school-Surakarta. Data collection used is: in depth interview towards premmier sources and regarded to know their attitude carrier, while data analysis used Capacities and Vulnerabilities Analysis (CVA) technique. The research result showed that; 1)Women teachers background at Muhammadiyah school – Surakarta have no ambition to be principals, the reasons are; a) Carrier development system and principal candidates recruitment process is conducted by Dinas or foundation is not transparent; b) The role as house wife spend too much times and energy. 2) The conducting of doubled role of women teachers as house wife created role conflict in her profession, thus, structural carrier development did not do in good way.

Nilai-Nilai Perdamaian dalam Buku Teks Pendidikan Agama Islam (Akhlak) di Sekolah Muhammadiyah

The article examines whether the textbooks on Islamic Ethics (akhlak) taught in-the Muhammadiyah schools promote peace. Studying the content of schools’ text-books is nececessary due to the increase of social conflicts and violent actions among-students. In particular, this article explores the Islamic teaching of peace within-Islamic Ethics textbooks published by the Board of Basic and Secondary Education-of Muhammadiyah (DIKDASMEN) in Yogyakarta Special Territory. By the use of-content analysis, this article finds that teaching materials in the Islamic Ethics text--books promote the values of peace. However, the texbooks editing quality needs to-be improved so that the narrratives (story tellings) and pictures (ilustration) can fit-the students’ needs

THE BAND OF ABDUL QAHHAR MUDZAKKAR: Biographical Sketch of Rebelious Leaders of Islamic State-Indonesian Islamic Army (DI/TII) of Sulawesi

The rebellious movement of Islamic State-Indonesian Islamic Army (DI/TII) began from dissa­tis­faction towards the secular state of newly indepen­dent Indonesia. Abd. Qahhar Mudzakkar, the leader of DI/TII in Sulawesi and his followers revolted against the govern­ment, and subsequently formed their own Islamic government. Since Qahhar graduated from Muhammadiyah school, his theological basis in his cause to establishing an Islamc state is very prevalent. He believed that his Islamic state is to uphold the truth and to defend the religion of Allah. Thus whoever opposed his DI/TII movement would be considered infidel simply because of favoring or supporting the Indonesian government they considered secular and communist. His followers and supporters were preachers and clerics, who helped Qahhar by carrying out specific functions and positions in his Islamic state. In addition, those people played an important role in getting recognition and acceptance of Sulawesi muslim society for Islamic state campaign launched by Abdul Qahhar Mudzak­kar. Without their involvement, DI/TII would never had been so popular among muslim community in Sulawesi.

The Development Strategy of Muhammadiyah School in Based Conservative-NU Society

<p><em>Th</em><em>e existence of Aisyiyah Kindergarten (Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal) and Muhammadiyah Elementary School at Mlangi Sleman Yogyakarta, where the majority of the community are from Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), that cause some social conflicts. However, the Aisyiyah Kindergarten and Muhammadiyah Elementary School are still be the favorite school at Mlangi. In fact, there are 23 pesantren based on NU, Masyitoh Kindergarten, 2 islamic elementary school belong to an-Nasyat and al-Falahiyah and NU Elementary School. This research discussed on obstacles, conflict, format of solutions, and development strategy of Aisyiyah Kindergarten and Muhammadiyah Elementary School at Mlangi. This research is a qualitative study used in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed the barriers and conflicts experienced by Aisyiyah Kindergarten and Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Mlangi, they are: parents’ low attention on formal education, clash of school activities and pesantren activities, limited infrastructure, limited human resources, negative thinking of Mlangi community on Aisyiyah Kindergarten and Muhammadiyah Elementary School, the difference in religious teaching, and the new admission competition. Development strategy of Aisyiah Kindergarten and Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Mlangi include imaging, increasing extra curricular program, improving infrastructure facilities, accomodating local culture, and providing tolerance and accomodation for students with different culture.</em></p>
