The article makes a strong case for extending the useful life of equipment with a high proportion of physical and moral deterioration. It puts forward a method of predicting the technical condition of equipment by selecting the optimal reliability function, and develops a program to implement this method. This program is a sequential call of three subroutines using statistical methods of data analysis. The first subroutine performs the primary data processing. The second subroutine calculates the parameters of four distributions (exponential, normal, lognormal and Weibull) and selects the optimal reliability function using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov agreement criterion. The third subroutine visualizes graphs of theoretical and empirical distributions. The program was approved and the study's hypothesis was confirmed: different reliability functions can be used for units of the same type of equipment.

Religious character education is becoming increasingly urgent in correcting moral deterioration due to the impact of globalization. Based on previous research, there are a lot of studies that focus on the development of religious character through morning habituation activities, but research that links morning habituation activities with the value of Rahmatan lil-Alaimin student profiles has not been widely discussed. Considering that the curriculum from time to time is developing, therefore this research is important because it is a novelty in developing research topics. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of implementing morning habituation activities in instilling religious character and the extent to which this activity can improve the religious character of MIN 2 Garut students which is in line with the values of the Rahmatan lil-Alamin student profile. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach of the case study method. The data collection process is carried out by observation, documentation, interviews, and data analysis techniques using interactive analysis with data reduction, data analysis, and conclusions drawn. Based on the findings of the research, by carrying out morning habituation activities consistently, students began to show progress in various aspects, both moral and intellectual, including awareness to be enthusiastic about participating in habituation activities and discipline in carrying out worship. The results of this research can be used as a basis for developing a more effective curriculum and learning programs for instilling religious character through morning habituation activities.

The goal of national education in Malaysia is to produce a generation of global-minded and professional community with strong and superior religious beliefs and high moral values. Moral deterioration among youth is a social challenge that requires attention in order to shape the development of human capital especially with the influence of family and peers in the manifestation of being religious. As such, this study employs Social Capital Theory that associates the practice of religious activities with the development of human capital through the influence of individual’s relationship with parents and peers. The objective of this study is to identify whether family and peers inspire the youth to perform religious activities which may impact their social interaction, beliefs and shared vision that led to the formation of moral values. A quantitative study was applied by using a structured King and Furrow’s questionnaire that was distributed to students at a public university. The analysis involved SEM approach through AMOS software and the results of the study found that family and peers influence the relationship between youth religious practices and social interaction. The study findings are expected to help identify specific strategies in the development of youth human capital.

All over the world, values of people are increasingly deteriorating due to the modern life systems caused by ongoing advancement of science and technologies. This systematic study was conducted to analyze the nature of our trial by integrating the exposition of the Qur'an, Ahadith, and signs of Allah (S.W.T) in ourselves revealed to us through biomedical sciences. Data were collected from Qur’an and six canonical books of ahadith collection of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a and published studies screened from MEDLINE, EMBASE & SCOPUS. Qur’anic data were analyzed by Thematic Approach [Uslub Tafsir Al-Maudhu’i] and Synoptic Approach [Uslub Tafsir Ijmali]. The findings show that our trial is governed by four things: ruh, heart, ears, and eyes. The ruh is an agent with heavenly origin installed with a desire to remember Allah (S.W.T); while the heart, ears, and eyes have an earthly origin, created from dust and water. However, despite its earthly origin, the heart is a controlling center of our trial; because it occupies the midst position; connecting in terms of communication, between the ruh and body. The ruh stress its desire to the body via the heart, and the information about the words and deeds of the body are communicated to the ruh via the heart; while the main gates of information to the heart are ears and eyes. The quality of the ruh will depend on quantity and quality of the information sent to the heart. These findings may add value to the existing efforts of dealing with moral deterioration.

Maladaptive behavior in the workplace has a significant impact on the psychological security of employees. The refusal of employees to adapt to changes, to accept different perspectives, to avoid responsibilities, manipulation, aggression, negative thinking about themselves and colleagues, as well as other maladaptive behavioral manifestations of them, will certainly generate an ineffective professional environment and toxic and the organization's performance will drop considerably. Maladaptive behavior has a negative impact, both on the individual, manifested by stress, anxiety, low self-esteem and even mental health problems, and on the work team - deterioration of group morale, work inefficiency and the creation of a toxic environment. Providing resources for developing interpersonal and stress management skills, as well as promoting a healthy environment can lead to reduced maladaptive behaviors and improved mental health and team collaboration.

Abstract Many conceive of the shape of the book of Judges as a downward spiral with each leader getting worse, culminating in the horrific events of Judg 19–21. Proponents of this reading suggest that the judges can be evaluated by how closely they imitate their predecessors and the so-called judges cycle in Judg 2:11–19. In this article, I provide a historical survey to show that this interpretation originates during the literary turn in biblical studies and argues for a coherent literary reading in contrast to the source-critical approaches of the twentieth century. Since then, however, the downward spiral has become a cliché. Using eight tests, I argue that this reading is not substantiated through close textual analysis, and therefore Judges is better understood as a creatively curated anthology of stories set in a particular moral-literary world. The book demonstrates an ideological cohesion between the narratives but resists descriptions of linear progression along a particular theme (e.g., moral deterioration). Each of the main narratives (3:7–21:28) can be read on its own terms without the meaning being overdetermined by position or structure. Instead, Judges finds its narrative and ideological coherence through its anthology because each story is set within the same moral universe/narrative world.

The current state of the fishing fleet of the Republic of Crimea is analyzed in the paper. The problems of its insufficiently effective use and low rate of development are shown. The reasons for this are largely the moral deterioration of ships, the main and auxiliary elements of their power plants and the irrational organization of the fleet technical operation system. The analysis makes it possible to identify the reasons for the low competitiveness of special fishing equipment in operation, which plays an important role in the management of aquatic life. The main reasons include the imperfection of calculation and design methods, the incompleteness of the regulatory framework for calculating operational loads, the lack of developed automated control systems and appropriate software that would adequately take into account the specifics of the fishing equipment operation. When creating new lifting equipment for a fishing vessel, it is necessary to apply a systematic design method in order to ensure the required indicators of power, load capacity, speed, energy performance, load stability, operational and environmental safety, as well as economic efficiency. Modern methods of designing machines and mechanisms involve the development of adequate mathematical models that reproduce their states in space and time under the influence of operational loads, taking into account internal and external factors. An algorithm for operational cost analysis using a mathematical model of a lifting device drive system is described in the paper. The design and modernization of fishing equipment using the proposed algorithm will ensure a balance between the operational and cost characteristics of the equipment, which is a prerequisite for the creation of modern competitive marine equipment.

Education is essential, especially in an era of disruption and moral deterioration. Consequently, there is a need for multiple forms of religious teaching, particularly in the digital sphere. Women must also be able to access the digital domain, as they constitute most of the religious population. Only women have a greater understanding of women's issues. Hence, the empowerment of Muslim women requires the assistance of female digital experts. The study tried to show that many women also educate and spread Islamic teaching in the digital sector. Even though there is a concept of women in public spaces as aurat, women still show their existence and can keep up with the times. This research was conducted by a case study using a descriptive analysis method through a qualitative approach. The primary data sources are observation, interviews, and documentation with research samples of 10 viral female clerics on social media. It shows that the concept of women appearing in public spaces does not prevent da'wah and social roles, as the existence of women is closely related to their actions for society. Furthermore, preachers in the current era need digital, technological, and human literacy to survive. Nevertheless, they must imitate the previous female ulama and posit them as ideal role models: acting as muharrik (activator), murabbi and mu'allim (educator), munadzzim (organiser/leader), mura'i (guardian), and munasik (controller) for the ummah at the same time. In research on women, gender theory is often used as the basis for analysis. However, this study is more focused on the theory of the contribution of the female ulama in the digital era. How do they master digital literacy to transform religious values into digital form?

The current housing stock in Ukraine is characterized by significant physical and moral deterioration, negatively impacting the population's quality of life and creating serious risks for residential safety. Given the limited budgetary resources and substantial capital investments required for constructing new housing, maximizing the potential of existing buildings and territories through effective reconstruction of outdated housing has become an essential task. Addressing this issue requires developing and implementing scientifically grounded methodological approaches to analyze and select investment projects for housing reconstruction. The research employed modern mathematical methods, ensuring accuracy in quantitative assessments and enabling the resolution of complex multifactorial problems beyond traditional analytical approaches. Specifically, factor analysis was applied, transitioning from an initial set of factors to a clearly structured factor model, identifying critical parameters significantly affecting the key investment indicators of reconstruction projects. The article develops an algorithm for selecting the optimal investment project for housing reconstruction, encompassing stages from preliminary evaluation of objects, analysis of their technical condition, and marketing research to financial-economic analysis and calculation of an integral indicator of investment attractiveness. The proposed methodology facilitated identifying the significance of spatial factors such as the attractiveness of the location, the condition of surrounding areas, infrastructure status, and environmental conditions, all directly affecting the investment attractiveness of reconstruction projects. Additionally, the research highlighted the necessity to consider not only technical and economic characteristics of real estate objects but also a comprehensive risk analysis associated with project implementation.

The war in Ukraine, caused by the full-scale invasion of Russia, has an impact on the country’s innovation environment, which is due to a decrease in the level of investments, an increase in business risks, a reduction in domestic demand for products, a decrease in the number of innovative projects, and the availability of their financing. The purpose of this article is to confirm that the innovative development of Ukraine’s economy is a key direction of economic policy and a tool for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine’s economy. The study of the current state of innovative activity in Ukraine and the comparison of the actual state of innovative development of Ukraine with other countries of the world was carried out using methods of scientific and statistical analysis. The latter made it possible to come to the following research results: to state a significant lag in innovative activity in Ukraine. According to the authors, this is related to existing problems, the main ones of which are: weak development of high-tech enterprises and industries; significant physical and moral deterioration of the production potential of most industrial enterprises of Ukraine; insufficient financing of the innovative sector of the economy, structural imbalance and low technological complexity, raw material export orientation and low competitiveness, etc.The authors of the article are sure that the restoration of the economy of Ukraine, ensuring competitiveness and economic growth largely depends on the use of innovative factors, the development of education and science. It is noted that the foundations of the state’s innovative policy in the post-war period must be formed today, creating conditions for the development of intellectual potential, increasing labor productivity, modernization of technologies, and structural restructuring of the economy. The results of this study can be applied when approving the plan for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and its direction towards a radical change in the structure of the economy, the transition from an agrarian-raw type to an industrial-innovative one based on the creation of a modern high-tech, digitised industry in the context of the spread of Industry 4.0 in the world. As a conclusion, the authors suggest that in the process of forming innovation policy, special attention should be paid to structural reforms, effective and transparent use of foreign aid, and strengthening of cooperation between manufacturers and scientific institutions.

Climatic changes, physical and moral deterioration of the main funds of land reclamation systems in Ukraine prompt a change in conceptual approaches and reform of the water management system for efficient use of irrigated lands. One of the components of the agricultural hydrotechnical reclamation development is the provision of an appropriate level of ecological and reclamation status of irrigated lands and territories adjacent to irrigation systems (first of all, an open network of canals). The purpose of these studies is to assess the modern technical and hydrogeological-ameliorative state of the Kilchen irrigation system (total area of 35.3 thousand hectares) for a long period of operation of more than 50 years. The main research methods were field diagnostic surveys of the technical conditions of the main structures and elements of the irrigation system (open channels in the earthen channel). The trends of changes in climatic conditions of the territory over the last decade are analyzed. Analytical processing of the stock materials data and field observations of changes in the groundwater level, its chemical composition and mineralization in 24 observation wells along the main channel was carried out. The main chemical composition of groundwater in the research area is characterized as sulfate and sodium-calcium with total mineralization in individual areas from 0.6-0.9 to 1.7-3.5 g/l. According to the known methods of R.O. Bayer and V.A. Kovda calculations of the predicted change in the level and critical depth of groundwater have been performed. The established terms of change vary between 9-11 years, provided that irrigation is intensified and the irrigation system is fully operational. Based on the forecasting results, groundwater mineralization is expected to decrease from 3.5 g/l to 2.27 g/l between 2021 and 2029. It was determined that the level of groundwater above the calculated critical levels in different years occupies from 30.7 to 51.0% of the territory in the area of operation of the Kilchen irrigation system. The reclamation state of part of the irrigated lands in 2021 with a total area of more than 13.000 ha was distributed according to the following criteria: 12.000 ha – favorable, 1.200 ha – satisfactory, about 50 ha – unsatisfactory due to the manifestation of soil salinization processes. As of 2021, of the soils on an area of about 10.000 hectares that were studied, almost 8.500 hectares of soils are non-saline, more than 1.200 hectares are slightly saline, and about 50 hectares are moderately saline. For comparison, in 2003, all soils on the same area were non-saline, which indicates the deterioration of the ecological and melioratic state of the territory and the decrease in the quality of irrigation water.

The authors describe the specifics of the transformation of criminal personality while taking into consideration the modern realities of the post-industrial society, and trace the connection between the criminalization of a person and the social prerequisites of forming a criminal motivation. The authors note that the hierarchy of values in the society has been condirably influenced by a distorted material ideology, by self-interest and an egoistic attitude of a person to the community and its members, which resulted in the substitution of spiritual bonds, a deterioration of morality and the contraposition of the individual and the interests of the society. This lead to the transformation of crimes and the emergence their new forms, a tolerance to criminal acts, and the increased public danger of criminal acts. The authors attempt to analyze the comparative-temporal transformation of the moral-motivational sphere of personality on the basis of a negative-positive approach to assessing the changes in personal behavior against the background of social processes. At the same time, the authors’ empirical research proves the shift in the moral-ethical codes for different categories of respondents, including convicts and ex-convicts as well as those who, due to their activities, may fall within one of these categories. The transformation of public relations that happened during the special military operation lead to changes in the conscience of persons previously convicted for committing publicly dangerous acts. This in itself is a subject of research that requires understanding on the level of criminal law doctrine and criminology, and became the basis of the current research. The authors present examples of positive personal transformations of ex-convicts who later devoted their lives to religious service, or persons, specifically law enforcement officers, who reconsidered their views, convictions and attitude to crimes of corruption under the influence, among other things, of anti-corruption education. The article proves the need for developing an ideological basis with the goal of returning spiritual and moral fundamentals to the society, building the hierarchy of values of each individual without separation from the society, which will act as special prevention. The authors note a demand for forming a unified ideological basis in crime counteracton, and for the de-criminalization of society in order to ensure criminological security at both the individual and the general social levels.

ABSTRACT In the last 20 years, a large number of studies have investigated judgments of the identity of various objects (e.g., persons, material objects, institutions) over time. One influential strand of research has found that identity judgments are shaped by normative considerations. People tend to believe that moral improvement is more compatible with the continuity of identity of a person than moral deterioration, suggesting that persons are taken to be essentially morally good. This asymmetry is often referred to as the “Phineas Gage effect”. However, normativity extends beyond morality. In particular, it is unknown whether changes in aesthetic value have a similar impact on identity judgments. We investigate whether works of art would be analogously seen as essentially aesthetically valuable. We ran four studies (N = 1264) to explore whether aesthetic considerations have a similar influence on judgments of the identity of artworks. We presented the participants with stories describing either a painting or a musical work which undergoes changes and becomes either more or less aesthetically valuable. Overall, we found only mixed evidence for the Phineas Gage effect in relation to the aesthetic value of artworks. Other factors, such as moral value, seem to have a bigger impact on judgments of persistence.

The world's population loses their homes due to natural disasters and wars every year, many international organizations have been created to eliminate such consequences. Architects as volunteers also make efforts to design typical low-cost mass housing., there is a concept of crisis architecture to denote this phenomenon. Its feature is the fastest possible reconstruction of housing for people in disaster zones. The next term discussed in the article is urbicide, the purposeful destruction of cities caused by wars, terrorist attacks, and other aggressive actions that we have in Ukraine today. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of mass housing architecture in its relationship with crisis phenomena and urbicide in society. For this purpose, the possibility of reconstruction, reconstruction and development of the architectural and urban structure of cities in the post-crisis period is considered. The features of the crisis architecture of countries and cities affected by wars, as well as floods, fires and other natural disasters (Rotterdam, Hiroshima, Bismaya, Skopje) are analysed. Foremost, the restoration of the engineering infrastructure was observed. Work on solving the housing problem consisted in the repair of damaged buildings, the reconstruction of large apartments into small apartments and the construction of typical temporary low-rise buildings 3 available raw materials. Unified 4-5- story series of economy houses were popular in post-war France, Hungary, Slovakia and other countries. Disadvantages of such housing include chaotic construction, simplification of architectural solutions, lack of individual stylistic features. Later, the temporary residential quarters were dismantled. At the same time, a significant part of such panel houses remains inhabited even in our time. Ukraine was significantly affected by the Second World War. Mass construction according to typical projects took place in the 60s, as a result of which about 23% of the country's housing stock has physical and moral deterioration. In view of the military actions, it is extremely important to use the international experience of rebuilding cities, to carefully approach the selection of projects, focusing on the economic component, the safety of residents and high-quality architectural solutions.
