Integrating self-care into nursing education supports students' development and academic success, with anticipated benefits extending into their future nursing practice. Evidence on students' perspectives about embedded self-care remains limited and fragmented, with no qualitative systematic review currently available. To thematically synthesize the evidence from existing literature exploring nursing students' experiences in learning and engaging in self-care practices during their education. Systematic review and qualitative thematic synthesis. Six databases, including MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Emcare, and Scopus, were systematically searched. The review was registered with PROSPERO and adhered to the Enhancing Transparency in Reporting the Synthesis of Qualitative Research (ENTREQ) checklist. The quality of the included studies was evaluated using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) for qualitative research checklist. Thomas and Harden's thematic synthesis approach was followed, and the generated evidence was assessed using the Confidence in the Evidence from Reviews of Qualitative Research (GRADE-CERQual) criteria. A total of 2167 studies were screened, and 16 studies involving 892 pre-registration nursing students were included in the final synthesis. Five analytical themes were identified: decision to embark on a self-care program, immersing oneself in the self-care program, nurturing growth in multiple areas, program qualities enhancing usability and outcomes, and challenges and reflections informing future programs. The review's findings were rated as having moderate to high confidence. Students viewed the self-care programs as valuable by offering them with a dedicated space, a structured process, and practical resources to meet their self-care needs, although some challenges were noted. Gaining insight into students' perspectives is key to designing programs that are both meaningful and practical, ultimately fostering a culture of self-care in nursing education. These programs support the concurrent cultivation of students' nursing competencies and personal development, qualities essential for navigating modern healthcare challenges.

Contemporary Islamic education faces a crisis of meaning in the digital era, frequently reducing instructional media and tools into value-neutral, pragmatic instruments and neglecting their spiritual dimensions. This research aims to establish a rigorous ontological demarcation between educational tools and media and to construct an integrative philosophical framework for their use based on Islamic epistemology. This qualitative library research employs a philosophical approach. Data were collected heuristically from academic databases and classical texts, with a focus on the foundational works of Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas and Al-Ghazali. The analysis technique employs hermeneutic interpretation, validated through source triangulation, to systematically dissect the esoteric layers of educational technologies. The findings demonstrate a novel theoretical contribution by proving that while tools are merely functional-technical instruments, digital media act as value-laden, meaning-making environments. Furthermore, this study offers a new integrative paradigm by contextualizing classical Sufi concepts to solve modern digital challenges: translating Al-Ghazali’s mujahadah and riyadhah into digital self-regulation, while operationalizing Al-Attas’s Ta'dib to design media that respect the hierarchy of knowledge. Conclusively, addressing digital disruption requires shifting from mechanical pedagogy to a holistic integration in which digital media serve as esoteric intermediaries, actively guiding students toward moral maturity, adab, and divine consciousness.

ABSTRACT This study employs a qualitative case study approach to explore how collaborative logistics pooling enhances last-mile delivery performance and strengthens supply chain resilience in the retail sector. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, roundtable discussions, and on-site observations with stakeholders involved in a real-world pooling initiative. By analysing a real-world logistics pooling initiative, the research identifies how shared logistics resources, such as transportation and warehousing, address key challenges in modern supply chains, including cost efficiency, environmental sustainability, and adaptability to disruptions. The study reveals significant cost savings, enhanced flexibility, improved visibility, and stronger collaboration among stakeholders. Consolidated deliveries and optimized routes reduced transportation costs and carbon emissions. Shared digital platforms enabled real-time coordination, ensuring swift responses to disruptions and fluctuating demand. These findings highlight the strategic value of pooling in building adaptive, efficient, and sustainable supply chains. The study’s focus on practical and strategic implications, offers valuable insights for addressing modern supply chain challenges in competitive and dynamic environments.

This study explores women's roles through the Prophetic traditions (hadith) and examines how the Islamization of knowledge can strengthen contemporary Muslim family resilience. While historical narratives have often confined women to domestic roles, this research argues that authentic hadiths—when interpreted through the Islamization framework—reveal dynamic, multidimensional roles for women: spiritual, intellectual, social, and economic, all within the family structure. By integrating classical Islamic scholarship (turath) with contemporary analysis, the study offers a comprehensive framework for empowering Muslim women and promoting balanced familial roles. Using a qualitative, content analysis approach, the paper examines selected hadiths alongside the works of leading Islamic scholars. It draws on the Islamization concepts of Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas and Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi, presenting a holistic epistemological framework that reinterprets hadiths on women’s contributions to family and society. Rejecting secular narratives, this paradigm embeds divine values to recontextualize women as nurturers, educators, intellectuals, and socio-economic participants within the bounds of Shari’ah. The study concludes that a resilient Muslim family requires a return to an Islamic worldview, where hadiths are understood contextually and applied transformatively. This approach enables the formation of balanced, spiritually grounded family units capable of navigating modern challenges.

Cyclobutanes, azetidines, and oxetanes have become more prevalent as structural features on pharmaceutical leads and drugs due to their unique physicochemical and biological properties. Substitution of (hetero)cyclobutanes in a stereocontrolled fashion with pharmaceutically relevant functionality is still a modern challenge. Described herein is a method for constructing quaternary (hetero)cyclobutanes and linking them to other (hetero)cycles via an allylic alkylation/exocyclic strain-release Cope rearrangement. The one- or two-step sequence can yield uniquely linked heterocycles bearing an alkylidenemalononitrile functional group, which can be readily transformed into amides diastereoselectively. This study includes optimization and scope studies of the allylic alkylation/[3,3] sequence, enantioselective optimization using asymmetric allylic alkylation, and functional group interconversion studies to yield densely substituted drug-like scaffolds.

The transformation of the normative content of public safety principles in the Russian legal system has been studied, and the ways of their systematization have been substantiated. The relevance of the research is due to the shift in the strategic paradigm enshrined in the 2021 National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation, based on the inseparable interconnection and interdependence of national security and sustainable socioeconomic development of the country, as well as the emergence of new challenges and threats that have not been adequately reflected in the current legislation. An attempt has been made to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the evolution of the regulatory enshrinement of public safety principles. Three sequential stages reflecting the logic of regulatory development have been identified: from the formation of a universal list of principles in the Federal Law “On Safety”, through their consolidation in a specialized strategic planning document, which has effectively lost its legal significance by now (the Concept of Public Security in the Russian Federation 2013), and up to the current stage, characterized by the absence of a clearly formulated list, despite the conceptual foundations being set by the current National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation 2021. This situation creates prerequisites for legal uncertainty and requires the development of new approaches to the systematization of public safety principles. The features of the normative consolidation of public safety principles in sectoral legislation (Federal Laws “On Police”, “On Countering Terrorism”, etc.) have been analyzed. It has been identified that a unified approach to defining and structuring principles in sectoral legislation has not been established; however, the unity of the subject of legal regulation objectively implies the existence of a common invariant core of public safety principles (the priority of human and civil rights and freedoms, legality, etc.). The content of three main directions of transformation of the normative content of principles has been revealed: the consolidation of the inseparable interconnection between public safety and sustainable development; the expansion of the range of challenges and threats taken into account; the change in the form of normative expression (from a formalized list of public safety principles to conceptual approaches). It has been established that the fundamental principles set forth by the Federal Law “On Safety” constitute the invariant foundation of the system, defining overarching guidelines for all areas of public security provision. The principles derived from the 2021 National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation do not replace these fundamental foundations but rather form an additional level that takes into account modern challenges, threats, and a new paradigm in which public security and sustainable development are viewed as an inseparable unity. The author’s definition of the principles of ensuring public safety, developed during the research, contributes to the improvement of the theoretical foundation of the public safety institution. Its provisions can be used in the development and updating of strategic planning documents in this area. As practical recommendations, a set of measures for the institutionalization of new principles of ensuring public safety has been proposed.

an important modern challenge of scientific and technological progress is the formation in the public consciousness of the belief in a certain imperfection of biological beings in comparison with products of the technological sphere, in particular, with samples of computing hardware combined with algorithmic models of intelligence. In students of biomedical specialties, such biases can contribute to the utilitarianization of the human phenomenon with corresponding consequences for conscientiousness in working with patients. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate at the modern empirical level the exceptional complexity of the structure of the human brain and the scale of the engineering and technological gap between it and the avant-garde of man-made computing hardware. Using the method of searching and summarizing scientific information, we selected data on the main digital characteristics of the human brain and the two largest human neurons — Betz cells and spinal α-motoneurons. As a result, we present data on the number of neurons, gliocytes and endothelial cells in the human brain, the number, total length and surface area of its capillaries, the length of all its nerve fibers, the total number of its synapses, the dynamics of the formation of neurons and synapses during its intrauterine development, as well as data on the possible information capacity and computational speed of the human brain. We compare these and other parameters of the human brain with the parameters of the current record holder in the field of supercomputers, demonstrating a dramatic gap between them in favor of the human brain. We also present the main morphometric characteristics of the two largest cells in the human body — Betz cells and spinal α-motoneurons, demonstrating the unique ability of living things to have a stable cellular organization even on a macroscopic scale. As a conclusion, the human brain remains fundamentally unachievable to abiotic modeling even from the point of view of current — far incomplete and limited — ideas about its intimate structure and functions.

Christian education becomes fundamental for changing the educational and societal patterns of Jharkhand. The establishment of academic institutions, such as St. Xavier’s, Gossner College, and Don Bosco schools, arose from missionary activities to address illiterate tribal people while teaching basic literacy and practical skills. Since independence, these educational institutions have received constitutional endorsement for growth, resulting in notable increases in literacy rates among marginalise section and educational opportunities for women. Modern challenges to sustainable operations include the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) framework, which reduces foreign contributions; allegations of religious conversion by politicians; bureaucratic barriers to land acquisition; and tribal opposition to Indigenous education programmes, financial challenges, cultural preservation, and lack of government support are major challenges in Christian education in Jharkhand. The preservation of Christian institutions in Jharkhand requires policy interventions between increased grants and public–private partnerships, together with community engagement. The successful development depends on Christian institutions maintaining their commitment to educational progress.

The shift towards renewable energy integration introduces substantial uncertainties in power system scheduling and control processes, which test the limits of existing theoretical methods. The advanced reasoning and data-processing capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs), with particular reference to their ability to analyze multimodal data, provide transformative potential for managing and controlling smart grids. This review examines how LLMs can tackle modern power system challenges while confirming their fit with the power sector’s expanding dependency on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. We assess the requirements of modern power systems for such AI-based solutions, while evaluating how LLMs shape grid management and exploring their enabling technologies, such as model architecture and training methods, along with necessary data. Our review investigates how multimodal LLM technology serves different smart grids’ functions, including generation, transmission, distribution, consumption, and equipment management, to exhibit its adaptable nature in strengthening grid resilience and efficiency. • This review explores the role of multimodal Large Language Models (LLMs) in smart grid management, showing how their ability to integrate and process different types of data, including sensor readings, text logs, weather forecasts, and equipment images, can significantly improve decision-making, fault diagnosis, and operational planning in power systems. • The study analyzes the architectural and training aspects of multimodal LLMs, including the use of pretrained modular encoders, efficient fine-tuning methods such as Low-Rank adaptation (LoRA), and specialized loss functions, highlighting how these techniques enable adaptation to the specific needs of smart grid applications without lengthy retraining. • Practical considerations for industrial implementation are examined, covering multimodal data collection and preprocessing, domain-specific knowledge integration, intelligent task decomposition, and system-level integration, illustrating how LLMs can be seamlessly integrated into power system operating environments. • The review highlights the potential of multimodal LLMs to improve the resilience of the power grid, optimize the integration of renewable energy, and support human-machine collaboration, while outlining future research directions, such as domain-specific base models, physics-based architectures, and human-in-the-loop feedback, in order to further improve reliability and interpretability in critical infrastructure applications.

ABSTRACT This article reassesses the Second Scholasticism (1512–1773) as a long, pluricentric, and globally influential reform movement in Catholic academic philosophy and theology. Traditionally studied through its contributions to economics, law, and politics, the Second Scholasticism extended far beyond, encompassing Thomism, Scotism, Nominalism, Lullism, and neo-medieval currents. It reinterpreted logic, metaphysics, natural philosophy, and moral and dogmatic theology in dialogue with emerging modern challenges, including heliocentrism, mechanism, empiricism, and Cartesian rationalism. Internal plurality coexisted with Thomist hegemony, producing a koiné scholastic framework capable of integrating diverse perspectives. Its reach was global, with Jesuit, Dominican, and other orders exporting schools, manuals, and teaching methods across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The Second Scholasticism emerges as a dynamic and adaptive intellectual infrastructure, laying the foundations for the Third Scholasticism and the Neo-Scholastic revival, while demonstrating the capacity of Catholic thought to engage productively with early modernity.

The article summarizes the results of the activities of the Iron and Steel Institute of Z. I. Nekrasov National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the context of modern challenges, in particular martial law, significant transformation of the economy and industry, and the need for integration into the European Research Area. It is shown that despite the difficult operating conditions in 2019-2025, the Iron and Steel Institute managed to maintain scientific productivity, ensure a high level of fundamental and applied research, and even receive high marks for its activities - according to the results of the state certification of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the assessment of the NAS of Ukraine, the Institute received the highest category "A". The new system of assessment of scientific institutions, introduced by the Ministry of Education and Science, which combines quantitative indicators and expert assessment, is analyzed, its advantages and disadvantages are identified. The impact of the certification results on the financing, organizational development, and international competitiveness of the Institute is highlighted. It is noted that one of the features of the certification of the Ministry of Education and Science is to bring its results to the level of scientific units. The main scientific achievements of the Iron and Steel Institute in recent years in key areas of metallurgy are presented: blast furnace production, non-furnace processing of cast iron, steelmaking processes, rolling production, heat treatment, materials science, development of technological equipment and control systems. Particular attention is paid to developments aimed at increasing energy efficiency, decarbonization of production, import substitution and restoration of the industry. The role of the Institute as a leading scientific center that provides a full cycle of research in ferrous metallurgy, promotes the training of scientific personnel, the development of international cooperation and the introduction of innovations into industry is emphasized. The experience of the Institute in recent years convincingly demonstrates that, provided that the fundamental scientific principles are preserved and interaction with the industrial sector is strengthened, academic scientific institutions are able to effectively adapt to new operating conditions and maintain their scientific potential, ensuring the technological development of the state.

The nature of medical practice involves both technical dimension of pathology and treatment and the socio-cultural dimension in terms of doctor-patient interaction, as a core components of the human health protection system. The gynecological and pediatric treatment narratives in the Class Compilation of Ancient and Modern Medical Cases of China (Zhong Guo Gu Jin Yi An Hui Bian) in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China is believed to provide a typical sample for exploring multidimensional interactions in the traditional medical field at that time. With the increasing popularization of medical professional knowledge in this period, patients might use their own medical knowledge to self-diagnose and implicitly made contrast with the professional diagnosis and treatment of doctors, indicating the conflict of knowledge and power in the traditional medical field. Additionally, patients and their families might question the diagnosis and treatment plan due to the various standards of Chinese medical groups and the frequent occurrence of misdiagnosis. However, they might choose to trust doctors at the critical treatment stage, showing the contradictory characteristics of doctor-patient interaction. Confronting the infiltration of Western medical knowledge, the traditional Chinese medicine community strengthened the humanistic care and emotional interaction in the consultation process as an adaptive strategy for traditional medicine to cope with the challenges of modernity while maintaining its professional authority and consolidating the trust of the patients.

PurposeClinicians are essential to transforming community health; however, traditional medical training does not provide needed multilevel, sequential, and equity-based leadership skills. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Clinical Scholars (CS) program was designed to fill this gap through interdisciplinary and applied competency training alongside an intensive community-based project. However, how clinicians operationalize and implement these competencies temporally and in their own terms has yet to be documented.Patients and MethodsWe conducted a qualitative, retrospective deductive content analysis of 1561 self-described competency entries by 130 clinicians in the CS program from 2016 to 2023. Participants bi-monthly recorded their application of one of 23 leadership self-reported competencies within their community project using STAR (Situation, Task, Actions, and Results), an accepted, structured response format. We also coded cross-competency co-occurrence and project context across personal, interpersonal, organizational, and community/system-level domains to demonstrate individual-level change preceding broader systemic transformation.ResultsHospital- and clinic-level initiatives made up the largest share of the projects (41.98%). “Communication” was the most coded competency (72.7%) and commonly co-occurred with collaboration, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness competencies. Competencies with the highest cross-domain co-occurrence—innovation, negotiation, social determinants of health, visioning, and advocacy—were distinct from the most prevalent competencies. Certain competencies appear in bundles alongside domain progression such as innovation emerging as a top co-occurring code only for organizational (8.69%) and systems-level (7.83%) domain entries.ConclusionThe CS program provided clinicians with the opportunity to reflect on and apply equity-centered leadership competencies. The divergence in competencies that were most “prevalent” versus “co-occurring” indicates the complexity of equity-oriented projects that require different, yet integrated bundling of skills. Differences in the prevalence of competencies by domain indicate a need for progressively structured competency development, focusing on personal readiness as a precedent to organizational and community impact. Prioritizing equity-based leadership that acknowledges these bundles and sequenced development is required to address urgent, recalcitrant, and modern healthcare challenges.

The article provides a theoretical analysis of scientific approaches to studying the influence of destructive tendencies on the psyche of an individual and their role in the formation of maladaptive behavior. The psychological, social and biopsychological factors of the emergence of destructive manifestations are considered, as well as the features of their influence on the emotional sphere, interpersonal relationships and the process of human socialization. The main attention is paid to the analysis of such forms of destructive behavior as aggression, sadism, masochism, autoaggression, emotional instability, as well as various types of addictions - alcoholic, drug, gambling and other addictive forms of behavior. The work highlights the mechanisms of the formation of destructive tendencies under the influence of internal conflicts, psychotraumatic situations, unfavorable social environment and chronic stress. The consequences of destructive mental manifestations for the mental health of an individual are analyzed, in particular the development of anxiety states, depressive disorders, social isolation and impaired adaptive capabilities. Special attention is paid to the problem of loss of personal self-regulation and reduction of the level of psychological stability in the conditions of modern social challenges. The article emphasizes the importance of timely psychological diagnostics, prevention and psychocorrection of destructive tendencies in order to preserve mental health and harmonious development of the personality. The results obtained can be used in the practice of psychological counseling, psychotherapy, social work and in further scientific research into the problems of destructive behavior.

ABSTRACT The growing tactical and physical versatility of modern basketball challenges the traditional use of fixed playing positions to interpret player performance and guide training design. Alternative frameworks, such as Individual Playing Roles (IPRs), suggest classifying players by their statistical contributions rather than their usual positions. This study aimed to examine how professional and semi-professional Spanish basketball teams currently classify players to tailor training tasks and optimise performance. A six-section online cross-sectional survey was completed by strength and conditioning coaches from 43 Spanish teams competing across the first four tiers during the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 seasons. Most teams (91%) reported implementing some level of individualisation; however, tactical personalisation mainly remained based on traditional playing positions (63%), with limited adoption of other strategies and IPRs (5%). Physical individualisation mainly relied on force-velocity profile (18%), fitness peak (16%), and countermovement jump assessments (8%), while load individualisation strategies most often used the acute: chronic workload ratio (7%). Differences among leagues in the number of individualisation strategies applied were not statistically significant (p = 0.184). This study offers a current and comprehensive overview of the strategies used and parameters considered by many surveyed teams and environments, highlighting a gap between emerging performance-analysis concepts and their practical application.

The traditional Lahari Katha of Chapainawabganj, celebrated for its intricate patterns, cultural heritage, and artistic identity, emerging from the hands of skilled women artisans, Lahari Katha is deeply intertwined with the social fabric of rural life. Preserving traditional crafts like Lahari Katha is crucial in an era of rapid globalization, where cultural identities are increasingly at risk of being overshadowed by homogenized practices. To explore the patterns, heritage, and artistic identity of Lahari Katha in Chapainawabganj, this study employs a mixed-method approach, combining surveys, case studies, Observation and KIIs. The triangulation analysis indicates that although the Lahari Kantha of Chapainawabganj is culturally strong and a distinctive tradition sustained across generations, it is facing challenges to sustainable development due to weaknesses in economic and institutional structures. This research emphasizes the importance of safeguarding such traditions, providing insights into how they can be sustained and revitalized in the face of modern challenges. With appropriate policy support, market expansion, skill development, and cultural branding, Lahari Kantha can be transformed into a sustainable heritage industry. Through coordinated initiatives, it has the potential to become a national model for heritage preservation and a unique representative of Bangladesh's folk art in the international market.

ABSTRACT In the wave of ‘education for national salvation’ in modern China, academic attention has largely focused on the state-led transplantation of Western-style sports. This study takes a different approach, turning its attention to Guangzhou, a major city in South China, to explore how traditional martial arts, as a form of indigenous physical culture, navigated a path of modernisation from the bottom up amid the dramatic social changes of 1840 to 1949. Analysing local annals, press archives, and society documents, this study reveals how Guangzhou’s open social ecosystem became a ‘testing ground’ for modernising traditional martial arts. Rather than passive acceptance, this was an agentic, culturally reimagined process centred on a ‘triple transformation’ of organisation, content, and identity. Organisationally, grassroots forces represented by the Chin Woo Athletic Association (Jingwu Tiyu Hui) and the Guoshu Society proactively adopted modern association models, transitioning from closed ‘martial arts schools’ to open ‘educational institutions’. Pedagogically, martial arts education underwent a value reformation, shifting from practical combat techniques to the incorporation of scientific educational concepts, ultimately evolving into a ‘cultural education’ focused on the comprehensive development of the individual. This process bears the deep imprint of the complex interaction between the national ‘martial arts’ discourse and local social practices. This study argues that Guangzhou’s experience corrects the existing narrative of modern sports history centred on major cities and national will, revealing the cultural resilience and creative vitality of local traditions in responding to the dual challenges of nationalism and modernisation. It provides valuable historical insights for how to achieve the creative transformation of China’s excellent traditional culture in the present day.

As a crucial component of national cultural soft power, sport intangible cultural heritage (SICH) requires a balance between preservation and utilization. However, modernization challenges, including insufficient succession and commercial erosion, hinder its sustainable development. Utilizing statistical data on national and provincial SICH items in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) and applying the GeoDetector, the study uncovers the inequality in spatial distribution and explores its underlying drivers. Our findings highlight a shift in distributional logic: while historical geography lays the foundation, contemporary policy support serves as the critical engine for the present-day vitality and aggregation of SICH. This study not only elucidates the spatial patterns of SICH but also highlights the necessity of integrating cultural distinctiveness into tourism models. It provides a strategic reference for policymakers to enhance the succession of ethnic sports and foster the integrated development of the YRD region.

The article outlines some features of the implementation of the Rights and Freedoms of Nations (peoples) in the unified social society of the peoples of Russia, formulates the author's approach to certain issues of the perfection of legislation and law enforcement practice, and draws conclusions on improving the effectiveness of their implementation in Russia. The materials of the article can be used in the improvement of legislation and in the practical activities of state authorities.
