Situational context of environmental university education

The scientific interest in improving the environmental training of university students emphasizes the training technology associated with the disclosure of their personal and professional potential through inclusion in the joint solution of environmental problems not in abstract but in real life situations. The use of situationality for educational purposes creates an internal unity of the learning process and facilitates the professional socialization of graduates. The aim of the study was to develop a model of environmental education for future ecologists based on situational analysis technology. Theoretical and practical methods of system generalization, comparative analogy, questionnaires, pedagogical evaluation, and modelling were used in the development of the model, which provided objectivity and heuristic conclusions. The model created and tested in the system of higher professional education is based on the ideas of ecohumanism, coevolution and sustainable development, cultural-competence orientation of higher education; principles of subjectivity, value-sense saturation, communicativeness, problematization, events, local history orientation. The key concepts of “situation” and “analysis” are defined and disclosed in the context of the work, and their types are identified and justified. The developed model includes target, content, procedural, technological and reflexive-evaluation components. The tasks, activity content and characteristic for each stage of the educational process, environmental cases and types of analysis are considered. The obtained results in the form of basic research bases and the model of environmental education of future ecologists in situational context testify to the promising application of this technology to improve the quality of professional training.

An ecological music education model based on deep learning: a blend of tradition and innovation

Abstract With the improvement of the status of music education, the reform of music education mode is imminent. The intersection of tradition and innovation is achieved by combining ecological education and deep learning concepts to construct an environmental music education model based on the traditional music education model. The research mainly focuses on intelligent music generation and its auxiliary effects in ecological music education. The steps are to complete the intelligent generation of multi-track music through the HL-MTMG model by combining the blended learning module and reward feedback module after defining the problems of music rhythm and melody problems. In analyzing the efficacy of ecological music education based on deep learning, it was concluded that the satisfaction rate of the generated music samples ranged from 66% to 72%, and the average score of students’ satisfaction with the classroom teaching of the ecological music teaching model based on deep learning ranged from 3.313 to 4.253. The environmental music education model through deep learning can significantly enhance the impact of music education and encourage students’ interest in music learning.

Organizational and legal principles of environmental education in higher education institutions

This article is devoted to the definition of organizational and legal bases for environmental education in universities. The introduction actualizes the problems and prospects of professional environmental education, defines its object, the relationship of the subject of professional activity with the environment and the subject, organizational and legal foundations of establishing the relationship of the subject of professional activity with the environment. In the course of description of materials and methods of research the conclusions are made that ecological education is realized actively at all educational stages. As a consequence, the entrants have formed an ecological culture and the corresponding ecological experience of the subject. Each educational level is completed and is a springboard for the formation of ecological consciousness and ecological thinking. The main results of the research in the article are presented by the description of the model of environmental education in higher education institution, which includes target, methodological and methodological blocks. The purpose of environmental education is the definition of organizational and legal conditions for establishing the relationship of the future subject of professional activity with the environment. The methodological basis of environmental education is represented by a set of principles of axiological, activity and system approaches. The methodological block reveals and substantiates the most appropriate forms and methods of environmental education in higher education. Forms - conferences and forums, among the many methods mentioned in the article the project method takes a priority place. The discussions formulate organizational and legal conditions for establishing the relationship of the future subject of professional activity with the environment.

Study of implementation of the eco-pesantren concept at Dayah Terpadu Inshafuddin, Banda Aceh

Environmental problems and the phenomenon of global warming that occurs raise awareness of the impact of the environment on sustainable development. It is very important to increase awareness and knowledge about the environment. One of them is through an educational approach in Islamic education institutions (Pesantren), through the application of the Eco-Pesantren concept. This study aims to examine the potential for implementing the Eco-Pesantren concept at Dayah Terpadu Inshafuddin, Banda Aceh. The research method is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observations and interviews. The results of the study show that Dayah Terpadu Inshafuddin has implemented several aspects of the Eco-Pesantren concept such as making eco-friendly Pesantren policies and involving students in eco-friendly practices even though it has not been maximized. The implementation of eco-friendly Pesantren can improve the quality of the Islamic environment and encourage environmental management activities that bring social and ecological benefits. Improvements in several aspects will provide a foundation for the implementation of the Eco-Pesantren concept. Through this implementation, Pesantren is expected to contribute an environmental education model to support sustainable development.

Environmental education in the school system at elementary schools in Slovakia

Environmental education (EE) in elementary schools (6 − 15 years old) in Slovakia is not systematically defined, it is often dependent on the voluntary efforts and enthusiasm of teachers. Schoolchildren acquire environmental knowledge in a limited form during the teaching of individual subjects, especially Biology, Geography and to some extent, also Chemistry, Physics etc. In elementary schools, the school subject of EE is absent. Therefore, the aim of the presented study is to find out the current situation in formal and informal EE at elementary schools in Slovakia. We gathered data on formal EE in the form of a google questionnaire survey, in which only 18% of all elementary schools in Slovakia were willing to participate. Through some questions in the google questionnaire, these elementary schools also provided informations about the inclusion of formal, informal and non-formal education at elementary schools. Our SWOT analysis indicate a need for systematic EE in elementary schools, as well as improvements of teaching materials and teacher training in this area. At the same time, we present the EE model at the Rakovec nad Ondavou Elementary School with Kindergarten, which is included in the Green School Network and actively involved in Erasmus projects providing the opportunity to implement part of the study and internships abroad.

Eco-Islamic Boarding School Waste Management: A Systematic Literature Review Approach

The eco-Islamic boarding school program is a model of Islamic boarding school-based environmental education that is still developing in various places in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to obtain information regarding the management of eco-Islamic boarding school waste. Systematic Literature Review is the method used in this research. The results of this eco-Islamic boarding school research are used to minimize waste going to final landfills. Through environmentally friendly and sustainable infrastructure, environmental quality will be improved

Analysis of service quality in the character education model of environmental care at SMP IT Dinamika Umat using the importance performance analysis method

This study aims to analyze the quality of service in the character education model of caring for the environment at SMP IT Dinamika Umat using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. The study respondents were 30 students who filled out questionnaires to assess the level of importance (Level of Importance / Yi) and level of performance (Level of Performance / Xi) of several attributes that are indicators of service quality. The results showed that there are attributes that have a high level of importance but low performance (Quadrant I), attributes that have a high level of importance and performance (Quadrant II), and attributes with low importance but high performance (Quadrant III). Based on this analysis, this study recommends priority improvement for attributes in Quadrant I, maintenance of achievement in attributes in Quadrant II, and maintaining stability in attributes in Quadrant III to improve the overall quality of service in the model of environmental care character education at SMP IT Dynamics Umat.

Environmental Education Model for Melenial Generation in Era 4.0 (Case Management Forest TNBTS In Ngadas Traditional Village Ethnic Group Perch)

This scientific work aims to discuss the implementation of the local wisdom of the indigenous people of Ngadas Village in managing forests and its meaning in environmental education for the millennial generation in the 4.0 era. As form study qualitative, research data obtained through observation, study bibliography, and interviews deep with 11 informants, i.e., observer tourist Malang culture in Village custom Sounds bad. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. Study results show that law custom in a manner consistent applied in management forest tour village Sounds bad . Community local very comply and implement local wisdom, among others, with the realization that they are part of the natural local, no damage forest flora and fauna potential, as well as utilize results forest in a manner adaptive. Application wisdom local in managing forests Sounds bad adaptively has direct implications for cultivating behavior that supports efforts to preserve the environment. The attitude and behavior of the Ngadas people in adaptively managing the forest is a model of direct education for local millennial children in an effort to preserve the environment.

Exploring the reform of the environmental design education model under the OBE theory model of professional and creative depth integration

Abstract To be able to better improve the professional ability of environmental design students and cultivate applied technical talents, this paper proposes an analysis of the OBE theory for the reform of specialized and deeply integrated environmental design education. By establishing a mathematical model, the database is divided into different classes based on the similarity between data. The error value of the objective function is gradually reduced by repeated iterative operations. The data points are randomly selected to calculate the center distance, and the dense area of the input domain is obtained in the data set obeying Gaussian mixture distribution. Through iteration to find the optimal solution, adjust its speed and position so that the fitness function takes the maximum value. The speed is constantly revised according to its own experience and group information to enhance the global seeking ability, improve the local seeking ability of particles and avoid the oscillation phenomenon, and select the particle with the highest adaptability to calculate its average fluctuation value, to analyze the environmental design education reform under OBE theory. The result analysis shows that the correct rate of the algorithm analysis performance of this paper reaches 90.1%, which ensures more complete and accurate environmental design education data.

Environmental Awareness-Based Education at English Corner Community in Sidetapa Village

This study aims to explain the implementation of an environmental awareness-based education model for children in the English Corner Community in Sidetapa Village. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through purposive sampling, field observations, in-depth interviews, and document studies. To develop the validity of the data obtained by the researchers using the triangulation method, namely by combining various data collection techniques and existing sources. This study indicates that environmental awareness education provided by English Corner Community volunteers is given on the sidelines of the English course, starting with guiding children about the importance of protecting the environment. Collection of plastic waste around Sidetapa Village and using the environment as an object of learning media by linking objects in the environment translated into English. Thus, children at English Corner Community have the personality to care about the cleanliness of the environment.

National and regional experience in the implementation of environmental education for sustainable development and preservation of regional natural and cultural heritage

Aim. The article is to identify effective conditions for the development of ecological culture in Dagestan schools in the interests of sustainable regional development.Material and Methods. To achieve this goal, adequate methods were used, taking into account the specifics of each stage of the work: analysis of scientific literature (psychological-pedagogical, methodological and environmental), regulatory and programme-methodical documents about the problem; observation, pedagogical experiment, testing, study of pedagogical experience and methods of mathematical processing of experimental results (%2-criterion).Results. The development of the global environmental crisis has set before society the task of survival and ensuring the existence of mankind, in the context of the concept of "sustainable development of mankind", considered as development that meets the needs of the present and does not jeopardize the ability of future generations to meet their needs. This allows us to state the relevance of introducing effective models of environmental education for sustainable development (one-subject, multisubject and mixed) into school curricula. The results of the study show the effectiveness of various types of ecologisation (subject, inter-subject and meta-subject) and the "mixed model". A textbook on regional ecology (Ecology of Dagestan) was developed, taking into account the specifics of the laws of functioning of the ecosystems of the planet and the region. With the inclusion of regional ecology in the "mixed model", school environmental education for sustainable development has been completed.Conclusions. Environmental education in the interests of sustainable development and preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the region is effective in the greening of school disciplines and the use of a "mixed model", and the inclusion of a national and regional component in their content.

Development of Environmental Awareness Education Model Guidebook in Sekolah Sungai Winongo

The “sekolah sungai” is an effort to make the community aware of preserving the environment. It is necessary to have a guide book for the implementation of the sekolah sungai Winongo so that it is easily understood by all members of the river school. This study aims to produce a guide book for environmentally conscious education models at the sekolah sungai Winongo. This research is a development research with the ADDIE model, which is carried out until the development stage or model development. Data were collected using interviews, observation and assessment of design and product feasibility. Analysis of the initial condition data was carried out descriptively, the feasibility of the product was carried out by the opinion of the river school material expert, the learning media expert was statistically quantitative using the percentage of success of the model. The results of the study were in the form of a guidebook for the model of environmentally conscious education at the Sekolah Sungai Winongo. The results of expert validation and material validation are in very good criteria and are ready to be tested.

An Empirical Investigation of Environmental Knowledge and Attitudes as the Correlates of Environmental Identity among Pre-Service Biology Teachers in Tanzania

Despite the extant literature that discusses the potentiality of environmental identity in shaping people’s engagement with nature, there is little evidence of which specific domains of environmental attitudes and knowledge are connected with environmental identity. The present article reports on the results from two studies that were conducted within the framework of the Solomon four-group design, in four randomly selected teacher colleges (TCs) in Tanzania. Specifically, study one was an intervention with pre- and post-measurements that involved indoor and outdoor environmental programs among pre-service biology teachers in two TCs. Moreover, study two was conducted in two other selected TCs, with a post-test only. The two-Major Environmental Values (2-MEV) and a Competence Model for Environmental Education were used for measuring environmental attitudes and knowledge, respectively. Finally, environmental identity was measured using the environmental identity (EID) scale. The results revealed that preservation was positively correlated with domains of identity, while other variables demonstrated overlapping relationships in different measurement points. Moreover, notable correlations between social desirability responding with some domains of attitudes and identity were evident, whereas the age of respondents had limited associations with other variables. The article concludes by proposing the need to promote environmental attitudes (EA) and knowledge as important strategies in fostering environmental stewardship.

Tumenggung leadership and educational model in leading indigenous people: Suku Anak Dalam portrait

The “Suku Anak Dalam” tribe (abbreviated as SAD) as an isolated tribe in Jambi, Indonesia, has become a topic of interest for several studies. The lack of in-depth study of education and leadership gives a negative perception of SAD. This article aims to reveal the influence of the Tumenggung leadership and the educational model in the context of SAD’s social life. The study used mixed methods. Data were obtained through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. Using stratified random sampling, the research samples of as many as 242 people were selected. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 with regression and flowchart analysis. The study partially proves that the variables presented are significant, namely the leadership of Tumenggung (77.9%), the read-write-count education model (56.5%), the political education model (72.2%), the environmental education model (67.5%), and health education model (77%). Simultaneously, the five variables also significantly influence the social life of SAD by 66.7%. It can be concluded that Tumenggung’s leadership and educational model have a significant and positive impact on SAD’s social life, as shown by the rise of awareness of reading, writing, and counting and political, environmental, and health-related awareness.

LOGICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ESSENCE OF ECOLOGICAL EDUCATION OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF BIOLOGY

The article presents a logical and methodological analysis of the essence of environmental education of future biology teachers. The influence of environmental factors on all spheres of human activity: production and politics, economics and energy, urban planning and development of new technologies, health care and education, and the formation of basic worldviews of modern man. The concept of “worldview”, in particular the biosphere or ecocentric, and “world”. The global functions of the education system are highlighted: neohumanist (orientation of the educational process on the survival and continuation of human development, care for future generations) and ecological (aimed at preserving the biosphere and nature as a whole (Earth and Space), providing favorable environmental conditions). Specific aspects of environmental education are identified. Approaches to solving problems of environmental education in theory and practice are revealed: socio-philosophical, personal-activity, individual-creative, professional, culturological, biological, socio-pedagogical, and systemic. Accordingly, the most important problems of environmental education and its significant shortcomings were identified. A regional program of continuing environmental education has been developed, in which the regional nature of the content of environmental education is preferred, and its three most important components have been identified: natural science, value-normative, and activity. A systematic description of the goals and objectives of environmental education is given, the principles of its construction (scientific, predictive, interconnected disclosure of global, regional and local aspects of ecology, integration, continuity, and system) are identified, leading ideas are identified, and models of environmental education at school are developed. Concepts of real realization of ecological education at all its stages are developed, as well as the conceptual provisions of development of ecological education.

Environmental Education (EE) from an Islamic Perspective

Due to human-being's action, environment is being rapidly changing. Human being's action is greatly affecting the environment in several ways that are unsustainable, undesirable, and unpredictable. Such misuse is the main cause for environmental pollution (EP) which is a key reason that our home (i.e. earth) is dying day-by-day. Therefore, the effect of the transition from present day patterns of unsustainable development is an issue that should be argued by all individuals, parents, teachers, schools, universities, etc. Yet, it is indispensable that everyone must be aware of environment impacts, as an ultimate goal for environmental education (EE). This research aimed to develop a model for EE to use as a framework of EE in the Islamic countries, such as Yemen. To this end, the researcher analyzed the available related literature as well as the Qur'anic verses and the tradition of Mohammed peace be upon him (PBUH). An Islamic Model for EE, as a result of analyzing the related literature, Quranic verses, and the traditions of Prophet, Mohammad, PBUH, was presented in this research.

Causal Relationship Model of Environmental Education Affecting Green Consumption Behavior

The populations were 12,422 undergraduate students of Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University of the first semester of 2021. The Multi-Stage Random Sampling technique was used to collect the sample for 400 undergraduate students. The questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. Structural Equation model (SEM) was used for model verification. The objective of research was to develop the causal relationship model of environmental education affecting to green consumption behavior through inspiration of public consciousness. The results revealed that when considering on confirmatory factors of exogenous variable of Environmental Education (EE) was able to explain the variation of endogenous factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) to cause Green Consumption Behavior (GCB) with 98.00 percents as the following in equation (1). GCB = 0.88*IPC + 0.25*EE … (1) (R2 = 0.98) Equation (1) factors that had the most effect to Green Consumption Behavior (GCB) was Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) with effect of 0.90, and subsequence was Environmental Education (EE) with effect of 0.25. These were able to explain the variation of Green Consumption Behavior (GCB) with 98.00 percents. Moreover, confirmatory factors Environmental Education (EE) was able to explain the variation of confirmatory factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) with 87.00 percents. Therefore, the equation can be written as the following equation (2).IPC = 0.90*EE … (2) (R2 = 0.87) 4) Considering on Chi-Square value/df was 1.804 that was lesser than 5, therefore it was accepted that hypothetical model of research was congruent to empirical data. Moreover, it was considered on other statistical values to verify the congruence that were Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) and Adjust Goodness of Fit Index (AGFI) were 0.97 and 0.93 respectively (GFI > 0.90 and AGFI > 0.90), RMSEA <0.05 (0.045), RMR <0.05 (0.014), and critical number = 306.66 which was more than 200. It indicated that model was congruent to empirical data.

Assessment of the Impact of Higher Education on Environmental Quality in BRICS Economies Based on Sustainable Development Pathways.

From the perspective of ecological environmental protection, higher education can not only train a large number of professionals dedicated to environmental protection for the construction of environmental quality, but more importantly, it can promote the improvement of the quality of ecological civilization in the whole society, so as to achieve the effect of indirectly improving environmental quality. BRICS economies, as the most important economies in the world, have an impact on the development of the world in many aspects. However, under the guidance of the concept of sustainable development, whether the environmental quality of BRICS economies meets the standards has also become the focus of scholars. Starting from the sustainable development path, this paper summarizes the model of environmental education in BRICS national higher education. At the same time, through the establishment of the BRICS environmental quality assessment system, the environmental quality of the BRICS countries after the implementation of environmental education was assessed based on the content of the sustainable development system. This paper performs matrix operations on the weight values of the indicators at all levels and the membership vector to obtain a 4 × 4 matrix, that is, the evaluation result Q of each indicator is [0.050, 0.200, 0.113, 0,011], which proves that the evaluation results in this paper are basically reasonable. It can be seen that in terms of forest coverage and environmental protection areas, environmental education in higher education has the deepest impact on Russia. In terms of carbon emissions, South Africa benefits the most from environmental education in higher education, so each country should take corresponding actions according to different environmental assessment results.

Sustainable life practice for preschool pupils: Sustainable environmental education program (SEEP) model

Global pollution can only handle with education in early childhood. Especially, the pre-school period is an important time for environmental education. It is seen that current pre-school education programs generally include environmental education but it has missing parts. The aim of the study is to add the built environment elements to the environmental education programs that include only natural elements such as trees, animals, etc. The environment is basically divided into two parts as natural and built (man-made structures). There is no environmental education program in the literature that includes these two basic subjects. The built environment includes architectural elements such as buildings, bridges, and infrastructure systems. All people use these systems and should have knowledge about them. The complete Sustainable Environmental Education Model has been created which is including both natural and built environmental elements for preschool pupils in the study. The LEED criteria were taken as a reference while planning the model. The model was applied to 134 (5 years old) pupils who studying pre-school education for eight months. As a result of the model application, the level of awareness of pupils who have never study any environmental education before, according to the beginning of the program, is from 23.37% to 79.81% in sustainable areas, from 23.87% to 85.32% in "efficient water use", from 13.80% to 91.79% in efficient energy use and from 13.78% to 82.98% in the usage of waste materials It was determined that it increased. The designed model can be the solution for global pollution.

A Learning Model of Environmental Education to Enhance Environmental Ethics Behavior for Undergraduate Students in a University

the purpose of this research was to develop a learning model of environmental education to enhance the environmental ethics behavior of undergraduate students in a university. A qualitative research design was employed 3 steps; firstly, the documentary review was used for investigating the theoretical definition of environmental ethics behavior. Then, an in-depth interview was used to keep a practical definition. Lastly, a focus group discussion was employed to confirm the component of a learning model. Data were collected by 20 experts for interviewing and 8 experts for focus group discussions, using a semi-structured interview, discussion recording form, and were analyzed together by content analysis and analytic induction later. The research findings revealed that 1) the environmental ethics behavior comprised of 4 characteristics. Those were: (1) Right conception as a basic understanding of the environmental issues or nature of reality (2) Right consumption was claimed to use the natural resources as long as needed and efficient use of resources (3) Right conservation was referred to the appropriate preservation, protection, and management of the environment and natural resources. (4) Right conduction was expanded the three previous characteristics for our sufficiency economy living and well-being. 2) A learning model of environmental education to enhance environmental ethics behavior of the undergraduate students in a university was a process model namely SWU-E. Those were (1) Starting (S), it is the openness of mind for receiving new situation and preparing for learning. (2) World viewing (W), as the evaluation of the value of the environment to create realistic opinions and a new perspective of their own. (3) Utilizing (U), applies a new perspective to create a balance of life with the environment. (4) Evaluating (E), assessing the value which is generated by their practice with the environment from a new perspective and keep improving. Interestingly, SWU-E model was proposed for cultivating the environmental ethics behavior of undergraduate students who are the next generation people to save our planet
