The analysis of the scientific works on the development of different models of the formation of professional competence of specialists in the system of higher education in Ukraine is carried out. The model of formation of professional competence of managers of physical culture and sport is offered. The basis of the model of professional competence of future managers of physical culture and sports is four blocks, which are built in spiral, pyramidal, linear forms and give an idea of various aspects of the process of formation of professional competence, namely: methodological, objective, substantive, procedural and diagnostic-effective. The content of each of these blocks is revealed. The proposed model corresponds to the basic criteria for the formation of professional competence, in particular such as: motivational, cognitive, information-technological, creative, control-diagnostic, social-personal and self-development. This allows intensifying the cognitive coaching activity of future managers of physical culture and sports in order to form new knowledge, skills and abilities in them through a system of content modules based on the previously formed level of their preparation through established interdisciplinary connections. The proposed model substantiates psychological and pedagogical conditions that influence the effectiveness of the process of forming the professional competence of future managers of physical culture and sports. The proposed model takes into account the peculiarities of the gradual formation of knowledge and skills of professionals in the field of professional activity. The value of the reasoned model lies in the fact that it allows to ensure the formation of the professional competence of future managers of physical culture and sports in a trajectory that takes into account the directions of the development of education in the state, the integration unity of the world and European educational space, the demand of the domestic and international labor markets and employers, and provides step by step in getting the predicted results. The result of implementing the model of professional competence of future managers of physical culture and sports should be a highly skilled specialist in this field with a high level of professional competence.
