44‐2: Analysis of failure model for notebook mechanical tests
 • Jun 1, 2025
 • SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers
 • Guoren Luo + 5 more

The notebook (NB) computer plays a critical role in daily life, including work, study, communication and entertainment. Nowadays, most commercial NB products are made of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) due to the advantages of low cost, high resolution and high reliability. The image quality of LCDs, an important parameter of NBs, directly affects customers' usage experience, especially when some bad points like scattered spots appear. As a tool for mobile offices, NBs will be subjected to various external forces (such as strikes, bending and gravity) during daily movement or storage. These external forces are highly likely to cause the failure of LCD devices to produce scattered spots and affect the usage experience. Therefore, manufacturers have established testing methods to predict such risks in advance, including scuff, dynamic pressure, and static pressure. In this work, the mechanical testing method for scuff was mainly discussed and the improvement approaches were proposed focusing on the failure model of scuff.

 • Yaling Wang

Although the traditional teaching mode has a short teaching period and obvious teaching effect, the teaching link is boring, which leads to the low emotion of students’ independent learning. Therefore, this paper proposes a research on the optimization of university linear algebra mixed teaching based on mobile terminal. The characteristics of university linear algebra mixed teaching resources are extracted by mutual information method and a noninferior solution ranking method based on niche Pareto is introduced to achieve the combined optimization of two objective functions. Draw two-dimensional graphs of binary linear equations, show the solutions of different equations, build a mobile teaching assistance platform and combine the characteristics of subsequent professional courses and the application of linear algebra knowledge points in professional courses to carry out modular design of linear algebra courses. Design and implement a mobile teaching management system, which uses smart devices such as mobile phones as client terminals to realize mobile office and learning. The experimental results show that the calculation failure rate of the design method is lower than 5%. When the experiment times are 100, the optimization accuracy is the highest 99.64%, the longest running time is about 50[Formula: see text]min and the evolution has basically converged to 13 generations.

 • Yu Xiao + 3 more

Abstract The finite element calculation of concrete‐face rockfill dam is a complex and computationally intensive process. Various commercial finite element calculation softwares have problems such as limited computing performance due to computing power of client CPU, difficult to maintain and upgrade, inability to meet mobile office needs, high cost of genuine software and so on. In order to improve the performance and convenience of traditional three‐dimensional finite element calculation, this paper has developed a cloud‐based high speed computing platform that can perform pre‐processing calculations and post‐processing result cloud image display. The seepage analysis and calculation of a concrete face rockfill dam were carried out through the platform, and the results showed that the total water head and seepage field of the dam followed general laws. The seepage calculation results were close to the measured values, providing intuitive support for the analysis of the operating status of the concrete face rockfill dam. The platform design method proposed in this article has been explored in the field of three‐dimensional finite element analysis of concrete‐face rockfill dams, providing auxiliary decision‐making guidance for the design, construction, and operation management of concrete‐face rockfill dams.

 •
Xiaoqian Zhang

The dynamic nature of the mobile office environment and the high sensitivity of data make it impossible to effectively protect data privacy when encrypting data. In order to ensure the business continuity of the enterprise and at the same time improve the effect of data privacy protection, the study of secure cloud storage of mobile office data based on homomorphic encryption is proposed. Combined with the monitoring of the average information characteristics of the corresponding sequence, the discrete key transmission sequence of mobile office data is constructed using chaotic logistic inherent modal expansion sequence to analyze the data storage characteristics. Combined with homomorphic encryption algorithm for the public key encoding configuration of mobile office data, combined with the method of binary discrete random coding, it can realize the data encryption processing, and finally the layered architecture is used to build the cloud storage mechanism. Comparative experimental results show that the algorithm throughput is higher when the proposed method is used for data security storage, and it has a more ideal storage effect.

 • Kateryna Zarembo + 2 more

In modern warfare, digitalization has blurred the line where civilian ends and military begins. Embedded in the participative warfare theoretical paradigm, this article looks into how the information and communication technologies (ICT) enable civic resilience under the conditions of the foreign armed aggression. Specifically, the authors explore how smartphones and smartphone applications empowered the Ukrainian civil society in the aftermath of the Russian full-scale invasion of 2022. Based on an online survey and semi-structured interviews, the article highlights how the device and its features not only allowed civilians to adapt to living in conditions of a constant threat, but also to respond and support the defence from the rear. The authors conclude that, while the smartphone becomes an ‘online resilience hub’, acquiring many new functions like a mobile office, an online volunteer (frontline logistics and procurement) hub, an air-threat warner, a first-hand news source and so on, its security provision functions are not unconditional and may turn to the opposite, depending on the physical circumstances on the ground as well as the virtual information battlefield.

Low impact of regular PCR testing on presence at work site during the COVID-19 pandemic: experiences during an open observational study in Lower Saxony 2020-21
 • Feb 3, 2023
 • BMC Public Health
 • Lisa K Seiler + 9 more

BackgroundSince social distancing during the COVID-19-pandemic had a profound impact on professional life, this study investigated the effect of PCR testing on on-site work.MethodsPCR screening, antibody testing, and questionnaires offered to 4,890 working adults in Lower Saxony were accompanied by data collection on demographics, family status, comorbidities, social situation, health-related behavior, and the number of work-related contacts. Relative risks (RR) with 95 % confidence intervals were estimated for the associations between regular PCR testing and other work and health-related variables, respectively, and working on-site. Analyses were stratified by the suitability of work tasks for mobile office.ResultsBetween April 2020 and February 2021, 1,643 employees underwent PCR testing. Whether mobile working was possible strongly influenced the work behavior. Persons whose work was suitable for mobile office (mobile workers) had a lower probability of working on-site than persons whose work was not suitable for mobile office (RR = 0.09 (95 % CI: 0.07 – 0.12)). In mobile workers, regular PCR-testing was slightly associated with working on-site (RR = 1.19 (0.66; 2.14)). In those whose working place was unsuitable for mobile office, the corresponding RR was 0.94 (0.80; 1.09). Compared to persons without chronic diseases, chronically ill persons worked less often on-site if their workplace was suitable for mobile office (RR = 0.73 (0.40; 1.33)), but even more often if their workplace was not suitable for mobile office (RR = 1.17 (1.04; 1.33)).ConclusionIf work was suitable for mobile office, regular PCR-testing did not have a strong effect on presence at the work site.Trial registrationAn ethics vote of the responsible medical association (Lower Saxony, Germany) retrospectively approved the evaluation of the collected subject data in a pseudonymized form in the context of medical studies (No. Bo/30/2020; Bo/31/2020; Bo/32/2020).
