Learning Assistance using Image Media in Increasing Reading Interest of Students of Grade 1 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul ' Ula Tarokan Lor Village

This activity was motivated by the use of image media in increasing students' reading interest. learning that is used by someone by using a tool made to facilitate the delivery of material when teaching at school. There are still many schools that are only concerned with cognitive aspects without looking at student learning problems, thus making students bored and lazy to study. The importance of using picture media is that teaching attracts students' attention and teaching materials will be more clearly understood by students. The implementation method in this service is the preparation, implementation, and unstructured interviews. The results of learning assistance using image media have a positive impact on both students and teachers, this can be seen from the results of interviews revealed by the homeroom teacher of class 1 MI and the responses of students and teachers who feel helped by the existence of learning mentoring activities because this activity makes students become better to understand the material being taught.

PENDAMPINGAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA BAGI SISWA BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS SLOW LEARNER

In Indonesia, an education system is implemented where students with special learning needs can get education in public schools. One type of child with special needs that is accepted by public schools is a slow learner. Slow learner children usually have various things during learning, such as difficulty in understanding abstract concepts, low motivation to learn, slow to understand material, and need to understand repetitive material. Therefore, community service is needed which aims to provide special assistance to slow learner students to help students learn mathematics. Partners in this service are 2 slow learner students from 2 schools in Yogyakarta. The stages of this service consist of 3 stages, namely the preparation, mentoring and evaluation stages of learning. The results of the service show that there is an increase in mathematical understanding for slow learner students. Students become easier to understand the mathematical material presented by various methods and teaching aids that have been developed by the team.

The future of pastoral care in schools: exploring whole-school trauma-informed approaches

ABSTRACT It is estimated that trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) such as exposure to violence, abuse and neglect affect approximately a third of school-aged children in England and Wales. There is strong and growing evidence for the devastating impact of trauma across the lifespan, with psychological and biological effects indicated by neuroscientific research. Prolonged exposure to chronic stress can affect brain development leading to behavioural changes and problems regulating emotions. Children exposed to trauma may experience difficulties accessing and engaging with learning and a reduced ability to form trusting relationships. The scale of the problem has major implications for the provision of pastoral care, as school staff often lack sufficient training and resources to support the complex needs of children and young people affected by trauma. Drawing on my experience working as a learning mentor in the primary sector, this article considers a whole-school trauma-informed approach as a potential model for the future of pastoral care in schools.

AN OVERVIEW OF CHILD ABUSE BY PARENTS IN ONLINE LEARNING DURING THE PANDEMIC COVID-19 ERA AND IT’S IMPACT IN REALIZING THE SDGs 2030 IN INDONESIA

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Ministry of Education and Culture to issue an online learning policy as an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the educational environment. This makes children have to carry out online learning activities from home and be accompanied by parents, especially elementary school students. The Sustainable Development Goals on target (4.a) build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, non-violent, inclusive and effective learning environments for all. Lack of pedagogical competence in parents makes them not have qualified teaching skills. Therefore, many parents do not realize that they have committed violence against their children, both in the form of verbal and physical violence. Method: This study uses a systematic literature review method by collecting various relevant previous studies to be identified, reviewed, evaluated, and interpreted. Result: The results show the occurrence of cases of violence committed by parents against their children during the learning mentoring process. The violence is in the form of verbal and physical violence, such as parents yelling, rebuking, hitting, and judging their children, this can also affect the decline in learning motivation in children and can even cause mental health disorders that have an impact on children's lives in the future. Conclusion: Therefore, efforts are needed from the government through schools in the form of socialization and workshops for parents of students to have basic teaching knowledge in order to reduce the level of violence in children during the learning mentoring process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is in line with Sustainable Development Goals on target (16.2) which is to end abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence against and torture of children, which is realized through effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels by the government. Motivasi Berprestasi Dalam Upaya Membangun Karakter Unggul Melalui Literasi Digital Pada Orang Tua Terhadap Pola Asuh Anak di Cirebon dan Indramayu

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the education sector is significant, especially in teaching and learning activities which have been forced to change from offline methods at school to online methods from home. This sudden transition has made many parents unprepared with their main responsibilities and duties as educators, thus affecting children's learning activities at home to be less effective. This activity aimed to determine the extent of achievement motivation possessed by parents in building their superior character as an effort to optimize the role of online learning mentoring. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The training and digital learning modules provided are one of the interventions to increase the insight of parents, especially changing their thinking paradigm as an adaptation to online learning so that they are able to maximize their role when accompanying children to study at home. The results showed that after being given training and digital learning modules, some of the participants became more open-minded and more prepared to become partners with children studying at home. This change also occurred because of the great involvement of the participant coordinator as a support system in helping to monitor, control, and motivate participants on a regular basis in their area. Considering the limited characteristics of the participants, the presence of supporting staff who are ready to assist directly in the field becomes one of the reinforcements for achieving a change, namely adding insight.

PENDAMPINGAN BIMBINGAN BELAJAR DI MASA PANDEMI COVID 19 DI TKK NEGERI HARAPAN BANGSA KOELODA

Covid 19 or also known as novel corona virus is in invectious disease caused by a new corona virus, namely Sars cos-2 which was first reported in Wuhan, China on Desember 31, 2019. Indonesia itself has announcad the exsistence of a special covid 19 in March 2020. One of the government’s efforts in breaking the chain of spread of covid 19 is the implementation of school from home or sachool from home during the pandemic, this makes parents in the Todabelu village. Golewa admitted that it was difficult to accompany her children to study at home, both in explaining the subject matter and in dividing their time with their work. In addition, School From Home also makes children experience difficulty in learning and become easily bored at home. The visible results of this learning mentoring activity are that the principal and teachers of the Harapan Bangsa TKKN Koeloda are very supportive and appreciate the tutoring activities carried out by students for several children at the Harapan Bangsa TKKN. The initial test is carried out orally in the form of introductory questions relating to the material the child has previously studied and about the initial understanding of the material to be studied. The final test is carried out in the form of oral and written tests related to understanding and mastery of the material that has been studied together.

PENDAMPINGAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SEKOLAH DASAR BERBASIS PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK DI KELURAHAN TODABELU

Tutoring activities for students at various levels of education is one of the mandatory programs in the 2021 STKIP Citra Bakti Real Work Program. This activity was carried out at SDN Koeloda Inpres, located in Todabelu, Golewa. Through Real Work Program, students are expected to gain experience in social life and apply their academic knowledge. One of the community service programs organized by the STKIP Citra Bakti College through Real Work Program in 2021 academic year is the tutoring program. Students of Mathematics Education Study Program carried out tutoring programs in elementary schools based on the Realistic Mathematics Education approach during the pandemic, in order to increase students' motivation and interest in learning. The general assumption so far that tutoring is considered to reduce students' playing time was proven otherwise. Tutoring activities actually provided value for children's learning processes, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic where students did not get maximum education materials from teachers, because they have to study online. Realistic mathematics education is an approach that places students' reality and experience as the starting point of learning where students are given the opportunity to construct their own mathematical knowledge through real problems that exist. That is, this learning places the subject matter in a meaningful context. To improve students' understanding, learning mentoring activities were based on the Realistic Mathematics Education approach. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) was used to increase students' interest in learning and refers to students being able to understand and improve students' independent learning alternatives.

PENDAMPINGAN BELAJAR TEKNIK DASAR PERMAINAN SEPAK BOLA BAGI SISWA SDI RUTOSORO KECAMATAN GOLEWA

This Community service is motivated by students whose ability to learn bacic soccer game tecnicques is still low due to lack of basic soccer game technical training. Therefore, the purpose of community service in providing assistance to basic techniques of soccer games for Rutosoro Inpres elementary school. This can be seen when observing the Rutosoro Elementary School. It can be seen that student cannot do well the basic techniques of soccer games, as the basic for the learning theme of the big ball game which aims to improve students physical fitness and skills in soccer game technical and tactics as an effort to in crease students activity. Learning mentoring activities also aim to regenerate the enthusiasm of students who declined during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in the tutoring activities is the direc practice method in the field with the basic material of the basic technic of playing soccer with training procedures, namely warming up, core activities and cooling down, in the core material, an explanation of the basic tecnick that have been explained by the service activity assistant.

The Role of the Teacher in Improving the Communicative Character of Elementary School Students Through PKn Learning at SDN 03 Pabuaran Cibinong

This study aims to describe the teacher's role in improving the communicative character of the Civics learning process at SDN 03 Pabuaran . Cibinong is a type of qualitative research that uses descriptive methods to describe the teacher's role in instilling communicative values into Civics lessons . To obtain research data, researchers used two sources, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data sources used by primary information sources are Civics subject teachers . Secondary data in the form of journals and books. Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The data analysis technique uses interaction model analysis according to Miles and Huberman , namely data reduction (data reduction ), data representation (data representation) and plotting results ( validation ). The results of this study indicate that the teacher has carried out his role as a learning resource, facilitator, class manager, demostator , mentor, motivator and evaluator both inside and outside of learning. In addition, the teacher always guides and guides students who cannot show communication personality, by always inviting students to participate in discussions, then creating heterogeneous study groups, helping students who have difficulty expressing opinions orally and in writing. PROGRAM OPTIMALISASI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DARI RUMAH DENGAN MEREFLEKSIKAN SEMANGAT BELAJAR SISWA PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

As a basic science from various fields, Mathematics is important to learn because it is also the basis for the development of science and technology. The existence of educational developments requires students to adapt to changes. The COVID-19 outbreak requires the learning process to be carried out online (in a network). However, in learning, optimization of learning must still be done which in this case must create a spirit of student learning by providing meaningful learning. This empowerment program is based on the limited conditions during the Pandemic which was carried out by providing tutoring, especially in mathematics. This learning mentoring program is carried out in a targeted manner through online and offline learning methods for SMP - MTs and SD - MI students in Karanganyar Village, Pekalongan Regency with a total of 67 students participating in the mentoring. The final result of this program is an overview of the differences between online and offline math tutoring. Optimization of mathematics learning is more visible in offline learning. This can be seen from the enthusiasm and motivation given to make students able to follow the lesson well so that the material is easy to understand. However, the end result of this program is that students are able to optimize learning, understand, and master mathematics better.

PENDAMPINGAN BELAJAR BERNUANSA ISLAMI MELALUI BIMBINGAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DI DESA RUWIT WEDUNG DEMAK

On average, Elementary School and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students in the village of Ruwit Wedung Demakhave difficulty completing homework assignments in mathematics. On the other hand, some parents have limited ability to teach mathematics at home. Based on this, this community service has the aim of developing motivation and achievement in learning mathematics by providing an Islamic learning experience in mathematics. The implementation of this service uses the service-learning method. This service activity involved 50 elementary and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The learning mentoring process is carried out by dividing students into groups based on grade level. This service data analysis technique is descriptive narrative. The results of this service reveal that the motivation and achievement of learning mathematics in Ruwit village children are experiencing good development.

Effective mentoring in a work-integrated learning (WIL) program

ABSTRACT Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs play an important role in the learning experience of students in higher education and are widely used in many institutions. Within a large public research-intensive university in Australia, WIL approaches are used in many faculties, although this paper is focused on WIL within the tourism discipline. One of the capstone subjects in the undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programs utilise a WIL framework, whereby mentors assist groups of students to conduct projects for industry clients during a 13-week semester. This study aims to explore effective mentoring processes within the WIL program environment by interviewing mentors to identify their guidance and coaching experience, skills and capabilities and their self-development in this mentoring process. This study’s outcome can assist to better understand the role of mentor in WIL for the design of future WIL programs.

Learning Activities for Modular Distance Learning in Dr. Francisco L. Calingasan Memorial Colleges Foundation Inc. Tuy and Nasugbu Campuses

In the era of globalization and internationalization, the school is at the forefront of meeting the challenges of the 21st century education. Innovations abound, millions of information are made available in the worldwide web and new ways of management practices and learning have emerged (Dayagbil, 2016). Distance learning is a learning delivery modality which occurs when the teacher and learners are geographically remote from each other. Modular Distance Learning (MDL) is a type of distance learning that uses modules to transfer learning to the students. (Llego, 2020). The education system has immensely transformed from traditional way of learning into a more diverse one which can cope with the fast-changing world. It can now address the different skills of the 21st century learners. The integration of different learning modalities into the curriculum makes it more accessible for everyone. In the Philippines, the Department of Education widens learners’ access to quality education through the Alternative Delivery Mode. Based on Republic Act 10618 or an Act Establishing Rural Farm Schools as Alternative Delivery Mode of Secondary Education and Appropriating Funds of 2013, the Alternative Delivery Mode may include the use of facilitator - aided and interactive self - instructional print and audio - based learning materials, video tapes, face - to - face structured learning groups, demonstration sessions, home visits, mentoring and remediation. This implies that aside from the formal education in which students are confined in the classrooms, there are ways to reach out to learners especially if they are incapable of attending regular class days. To further address the accessibility of education for the Filipino learners, the Philippines reaffirmed its global commitment to bring benefits of education to “every citizen to every society” and developed the National Plan of Action to Achieve Education for All which also aimed to achieve an improved quality of basic education for every Filipino. It includes reforms in the curriculum and introduced the Alternative Delivery Modes that promote access and holding power of school through the implementation of the Project EASE (Effective Alternative Secondary Education) to complement the existing formal education to make secondary education more accessible to students in disadvantaged situations. Learning is facilitated through the use of modules as instructional materials during the period when students are out of the classroom. Truly, the Philippine government together with the Department of Education continuously strive to provide and improve the quality of education for every Filipino to meet the demands of the global community. Even during these trying times as we face the COVID-19 pandemic, the department yield ways to adapt to the new normal by launching various distance learning modalities for the school year 2020-2021. This is to ensure that the pandemic will not hinder learning but also to secure the health of every stakeholder in the learning process. Based on the survey results from the Learner Enrolment and Survey Forms distributed by the schools nationwide, both private and public, the parents as well as the learners’ preferred modular distance learning than online distance learning. The 8.8 million parents opted for modular learning while only 3.8 million chose online learning. On the other hand, 7.2 million enrolees preferred modular distance learning while only 2 million enrolees opted for online distance learning. (Malipol, 2020). It is for this that this study was thought of. It attempts to assess the utilization of Modular Distance Learning Strategies of Teachers in Dr. Francisco L. Calingasan Memorial Colleges Foundation Inc. Tuy and Nasugbu Campuses during the academic year 2020 - 2021.

PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM PENDAMPINGAN BELAJAR AGAMA ISLAM ANAK PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID 19 (Studi Kasus Di Kampung Nelayan Desa Mentoso Tahun 2021)

Learning mentoring is an effort to accompany, accompany, motivate, facilitate, and supervise children in the learning process (Dwi, 2018). It is hoped that this mentoring program can help overcome the obstacles faced in the implementation of online training during the Covid19 pandemic by optimizing the role of mentoring in the world of education. Therefore, the objectives of this study are 1) to identify the obstacles faced by elementary school students in the fishing environment of Mentoso village during the COVID-19 pandemic and 2) to clarify the role of mentoring programs in learning in students' understanding.
 Based on the research, it can be concluded that the learning assistance for Islamic Religious Education for children in Ds. Mentoso with the educational limits of parents is indeed influential, but it returns to the characteristics of children and the ability of parents to persuade and overcome situations. Time constraints can be overcome by registering children with the tutor. it does add to the burden but this learning mentoring also results in good relationships between individuals and parents, increases closeness, can monitor children's character and children's academic abilities improve well. It can also be seen the attention given by parents to their children. Parents are also trained to continue to motivate children so that children can trigger enthusiasm and produce optimal achievements.

Guiding Learning during the Pandemic Era to Encourage Learning Motivation of Talenta Delpita Orphanage’s Children

Background: Learning assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic is a service to the community as one of the efforts to implement tri dharma college.
 Aim: This is done to increase students' learning motivation towards learning.
 Method: The learning mentoring method is done using the FGD method, namely Forum Group Discussion. This learning assistance is done in a small group of 6-12 people. Learning assistance is located at The Talenta Delpita Medan Orphanage. Before conducting learning assistance, the practice of doing several stages such as assasment to find out the problems that occur, then do planning and arranging activities before the implementation is carried out. The most important materials taught in this learning mentoring are reading, writing and basic mathematics.
 Findings: The learning assistance process runs smoothly and well. The results obtained from the mentoring of studying at The Talenta Delpita Medan Orphanage are very good. Children feel helped during this learning assistance process.

IMPROVING STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION THROUGH LEARNING ASSISTANCE ACTIVITIES

A student very much needs student learning assistance at home; this is important considering the teachers' limitations in teaching students in the classroom. Tutoring is an effort to assist students in better understanding the material. If a student already understands, it will affect the enthusiasm and motivation to learn from now on to the future. This study aims to foster student learning motivation through the level of student understanding of a material implemented through tutoring activities. The method in this study used the PAR (Participation Action Research) method. Participatory Action Research (PAR) is a research method carried out in a participatory manner among community members, namely Santri at TPQ Nurudholam Dusun Sawangan. The results of the implementation of this tutoring program were able to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, which was proven enthusiastically during learning mentoring activities.

수학학습 멘토링이 예비수학교사의 수학교수지식(MKT)에 미치는 영향

This study examines the effects of mathematics learning mentoring activities on mathematical knowledge for teaching (MKT) of pre-service mathematics teachers. We choose six pre-service mathematics teachers in the department of mathematics education at M University. The pre-service mathematics teachers conducted 1:1 mathematics learning mentoring for two hours at a times and twice a week for 15 weeks. The pre-service mathematics teachers submitted the mentor log, which recorded weekly learning and emotional observations. We collected the mentor log and the reflection log of pre-service mathematics teachers and the interviews with pre-service mathematics teachers. Based on the collected data, we analyzed the effects of MKT, the understanding of students, and pre-service mathematics teachers' introspection by mathematics learning mentoring. We obtained conclusions as follows. First, mathematics learning mentoring provides an opportunity for pre-service mathematics teachers to apply the theory of mathematical education to schools. Thus pre-service mathematics teachers express theoretical knowledge as practical knowledge. Second, mathematics learning mentoring helps pre-service mathematics teachers have the ability to understand students and provide opportunities to reflect on their attitudes as learners. Third, mathematics learning mentoring helps advance teaching activities by providing pre-service mathematics teachers with opportunities to reflect on their teaching activities. Finally, mathematics learning mentoring has positively influenced the change in pre-service mathematics teachers' beliefs and teaching intuition.

PENYULUHAN PENINGKATAN KUALITAS BELAJAR SISWA DALAM MENYONGSONG PEMBELAJARAN TATAP MUKA DI MASA PANDEMI DENGAN TETAP DISIPLIN DALAM MENERAPKAN PROTOKOL KESEHATAN DI YAYASAN PEMBANGUNAN MASYARAKAT SEJAHTERA (YPMS) DARUSSALAM KEDAUNG PAMULANG

Learning is actually through the interaction of teachers with students to transmit knowledge in a learning environment. However, the dynamics of learning in Indonesia are currently being disrupted by the Covid-19 outbreak, which makes students have to undergo online learning activities. Many students experience difficulties and lack of motivation to participate in learning during the pandemic. One of the efforts to overcome educational problems during the pandemic is through learning assistance activities which are part of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. This program is expected to help elementary school children in overcoming existing problems, so that children can understand and be motivated during online learning. The method used in this activity is the lecture method, discussion, and assignment method. The success of this activity can be seen from the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning mentoring activities. In addition, students also succeeded in answering questions related to the material discussed.

PENDAMPINGAN BELAJAR DARI RUMAH BAGI ANAK KELAS 7,8,9 SMP DAN KELAS 10 SMA DIMASA PANDEMI COVID 19 DI HKBP DUREN JAYA BEKASI

Community Service (PkM) at HKBP Duren Jaya is the implementation and continuation of the MoU between Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) and HKBP Duren Jaya in 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all sectors including the education sector, which resulted the students were learning from home. Parents and students have been experiencing many obstacles while studying from home, so PkM has chosen topics related to the needs of the congregation. PkM aims to provide increased understanding and knowledge of learning mentoring models for parents and effective learning tactics for students in junior high school and grade 10 of high school. The PkM method is a seminar and competition to make a video model of parental assistance while the children study from home. Video assessment uses indicators by evaluators. The results of the PkM are very encouraging, as shown by the seriousness of the committee from the church to optimally manage activities by still implementing health procedures strictly, active participating the seminar by asking several questions, video models of parenting assistance while the children study at home that can be a model for parents and children.
