Cases of child sexual abuse have become a serious concern in various countries, including Indonesia. Children, as a vulnerable group, often become victims of sexual crimes, and the impact is not only on the physical aspect but also on their psychological well-being and overall development. Sexual abuse experienced by children can cause long-lasting trauma and affect their quality of life in the future. This research uses the normative legal research method, which relies on the study of library materials. Normative legal research is a type of research conducted through the examination of secondary data or library materials. Cases of child sexual abuse are one of the serious issues that need special attention within the legal system in Indonesia. Children, as a vulnerable group, often become victims of this crime, which not only leaves physical impacts but also deep and long-lasting psychological trauma. The urgency of this protection is not separate from the significant challenges faced in the Indonesian legal system, which still needs to be improved in providing guarantees of protection for child victims of sexual abuse.

Law Enforcement in the Perspective of Legal Sociology

This paper examines the effectiveness of law enforcement in society from the perspective of legal sociology. The goal is to explain the extent to which law enforcement can be effective in society. To obtain data from the problem, the author uses the library research method to collect information relevant to the topic or problem to be studied. The type of data used in this study is secondary data obtained from library materials or literature that have a relationship with the object being studied. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of law enforcement has not been maximized. This is marked by the fact that it is not easy for the law to be enforced in cases involving elites or officials. The law should apply to all circles, not recognizing social stratification in its enforcement, but the reality that occurs is inversely proportional to the principle of law, the law is used as a tool for those who have interests. Therefore, the sociology of law is present to examine the impact of the enactment of a law in society, so that social phenomena can arise and develop in society. The sociology of law and the effectiveness of law are very closely related, because what will be discussed in the sociology of law will not be separated from the assessment of how far the effectiveness of law exists in society as part of social phenomena.

Pembentukan Representasi Adjoin pada Aljabar Lie

Algebra is a branch of mathematics that can provide understanding in solving problems. This research discusses one form of algebra, namely Lie algebra. Where Lie algebra 𝗀 is a vector space over the field 𝔽 equipped with a bilinear mapping equipped by a commutator operation commonly called the Lie bracket operation denoted [−, −] from 𝗀 × 𝗀 to 𝗀 if it satisfies the anti-symmetry axiom and satisfies Jacobi Identity. One model of Lie algebra is the set of all linear operators of a vector space 𝑉 denoted by 𝑔𝑙(𝑉). In addition, one of the discussions related to Lie algebra in this research is representation theory. Lie algebra uses representation theory with the aim of simplifying abstract algebraic problems into linear algebra by presenting each of its members in the form of linear mappings on vector spaces. There are various forms of representation theory in Lie algebra, one of which is adjoin representation. And this adjoin representation is formed from a derivation and Lie homomorphism. The purpose of this research is to find out how the formation of adjoin representation on Lie algebra. This research uses a qualitative method, where the method applies a way to collect data or library materials as a reference in the form of articles, journals, and even books related to Lie algebra.

Technological developments give birth to new creative ideas and create something that never existed before. The digital world is the main medium to make this happen. Every day more than millions of people use or log in to the internet for various purposes, from scientific research to playing interactive games in cyberspace, or from trading or e-commerce to surfing gambling sites. In this case, there is a legal instrument Law no. 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright which applies in Indonesia where one of the objects that receives copyright protection is a computer program, in this case software. With this, it can be said that the copyright regime has received new challenges after the internet, one of which is the protection of software or computer programs. However, violations of current developments are also increasingly common with the advent of the internet. Software is a computer program that is often used as an object of piracy. Software piracy has long been a serious problem. Software piracy that is often carried out is on CD media, the Internet, and often even directly from computer to computer using a data cable. As a result, Indonesia is faced with the impacts and problems of piracy which are quite significant and well known both internationally and in Indonesia itself. Regulations related to copyright through Law Number 28 of 2014 are currently considered not yet firm enough to regulate software piracy. Therefore, the problem formulation in this research that is studied is: a) What is the form of copyright protection from acts of software piracy in terms of international law b) How is the regulation of legal copyright protection for computer programs (software) according to Law Number 28 of the Year 2014 concerning Copyright and what factors constitute obstacles to its implementation. Meanwhile, the research method uses normative research, namely this research approach is based on library materials which are secondary data or also known as Library Law Research. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out qualitatively.

Music Sequence Creation Technique in Piano Music Production Based on Embedded Neural Network

With the rapid development of computer technology and artificial intelligence, especially the rise of embedded neural network technology. The traditional arrangement methods are facing increasing challenges in the field of music production, and their complexity and time-consuming nature are no longer sufficient to meet the urgent needs of modern audiences for efficient and high-quality computer piano music works. This paper proposes an innovative solution — a piano music production matching method based on embedded neural network fusion, and particularly focused on intelligent creation technology for music sequences. In the system, embedded neural networks are core applied in the process of creating music sequences. By utilizing their powerful feature learning and generalization abilities, neural networks can capture complex patterns and dynamic changes in music sequences, providing infinite possibilities for melody generation and innovation. At the same time, combined with association rule algorithms, the system can discover potential association patterns between notes, further optimizing the fluency and harmony of the melody; The clustering algorithm helps extract common features from massive music data, providing a rich material library for melody innovation.

A demographic-based challenges and trust issues on the implementation of the new BSND curriculum

Ensuring that the curriculum is aligned with the latest standards, guidelines, and best practices in nursing education and healthcare can be challenging. Developing fair and effective assessment methods to evaluate students' competency can be difficult. It is essential to ensure that assessments and pedagogical approaches accurately reflect the knowledge and skills students need as future registered nutritionists and dietician. The purpose of this study was to assess the challenges experienced by faculty and program administrators in relation to the mandates stipulated in the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memo Order No. 14, series of 2017. Faculty (n=37) and program administrators (n=5) were randomly selected from five higher education institutions in Mindanao, Philippines. Findings indicated that the administrators and teaching staff manifested low level of trust issues on the implementation of the curriculum. Consequently, they feel positive about the design, execution, and outcomes of the program. However, it is important to note several challenges they experienced. Lack of doctorate programs in institutions, absence of vertically articulated doctorate programs, and outdated library materials were the most prominent challenges the faculty and program administrators experienced. They also noted challenges related to excessive workloads for faculty beyond their Individual Daily Plans, the absence of Registered Nutrition and Dietetics (RND) professionals in food service establishments to supervise practicum experiences, and a lack of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with accredited Level III hospitals for practicum training programs.

Linked Data in Library Workflows

As the library community continues to explore linked data for cataloging and data management, there are a variety of new opportunities as well as challenges to ensure that data is interoperable and manageable across bibliographic datasets. Data model interoperability is critical to ensure we can continue to manage bibliographic materials at scale across the wide range of material types and metadata providers and consumers. Additionally, the interoperability of the linked data that connects our bibliographic materials together—traditionally seen as authorities—must be evaluated and managed to improve the way users find and interact with library materials. To meet the challenges, OCLC, in partnership with others, is building a robust and interoperable set of linked data that can be used in future-facing data management workflows and discovery interfaces.

SolarDesign: An online photovoltaic device simulation and design platform

Abstract SolarDesign (https://solardesign.cn/) is an online photovoltaic device simulation and design platform that provides engineering modeling analysis for crystalline silicon solar cells, as well as emerging high-efficiency solar cells such as organic, perovskite, and tandem cells. The platform offers user-updatable libraries of basic photovoltaic materials and devices, device-level multi-physics simulations involving optical-electrical-thermal interactions, and circuit-level compact model simulations based on detailed balance theory. Employing internationally advanced numerical methods, the platform accurately, rapidly, and efficiently solves optical absorption, electrical transport, and compact circuit models. It achieves multi-level photovoltaic simulation technology from “materials to devices to circuits” with fully independent intellectual property rights. Compared to commercial software, the platform achieves high accuracy and improves speed by more than an order of magnitude. Additionally, it can simulate unique electrical transport processes in emerging solar cells, such as quantum tunneling, exciton dissociation, and ion migration.

NaW2S4 and RbxWS2: Alternative Sources for 2M-WS2 and 1T'-WS2 Monolayers.

With the recent strive to develop novel quantum materials, including two-dimensional nanosheets, alkali-layered intercalated materials have found a new purpose as starting materials for such compounds. Enriching the library of alkali materials, we present a solid-state synthesis for preparing NaW2S4 (P1̅, No. 2) and RbxWS2 (C2/m, No. 12). Solving their crystal structure from their powder X-ray diffraction patterns, we show that both materials are layered, the former being a slightly distorted version of the latter. We compare the two structures and find that the main difference is the interlayer spacing in the a-direction. We further show that, like their cousin, KxWS2, both compounds can be deintercalated with dilute acid to form superconducting 2M-WS2, with structural and property characterization showing similar behavior, regardless of the starting material. Lastly, we find that both materials can be exfoliated in the same manner as KxWS2 to form superconducting 1T'-WS2 monolayers. We describe an easy one-step method for preparing two new layered materials and, thus, provide more opportunities to access valuable superconducting materials.

Conductivity Prediction Method of Solid Electrolyte Materials Based on Pearson Coefficient Method and Ensemble Learning

In order to screen solid electrolytic materials with high ionic conductivity more quickly and accurately, a conductivity prediction method for solid electrolyte materials based on logistic regression model and random forest regression model is constructed. The method first selects 20 characteristic descriptors related to ionic conductivity from material library according to four dimensions: structural stability, metal stability, electronic conductivity and oxidative decomposition stability. The enumeration method and feature selection method are used to combine different features. Then, the dimension reduction of the feature combinations is carried out by Pearson coefficient method, so as to screen the optimal feature combinations. Finally, according to the optimal feature combination and data subset, the constructed random forest ensemble learning model is utilized to predict the ionic conductivity of other solid-state electrolyte materials in the material library, in order to find the solid-state electrolyte materials that can meet the high conductivity. The results indicate that as the number of features in the combination increases, the prediction performance of the model shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. When the feature descriptor in the combination is 7, the maximum AUC (Accuracy) value is reached, and the optimal feature in this case contains 7 optimal feature subsets corresponding to feature descriptors, namely the standard deviation of the average adjacency number of Li atoms, the standard deviation of Li-X ion bonds, the average electronegativity of the straight path, the average width of the straight path, the average atomic volume, the average Li-Li bond, and the filling fraction of the sublattice. On the basis of the optimal feature screening, the average prediction accuracy of the logistic regression model is 87.13%, which has a high accuracy. Using the random forest regression model for prediction, the average absolute error and root mean square error obtained are only 0.237 and 0.134, and compared with classical classification methods such as KNN, SVM and Adaboost, they are smaller, which can better predict the ionic conductivity of solid electrolyte materials. This proves that the constructed method can quickly and accurately produce high ionic conductivity materials in solid electrolyte materials, which is worthy of further research and promotion.

Libraries play a significant role in supporting the learning process in schools and madrasas by providing various learning resources, facilitating independent learning, enhancing information literacy, supporting student research and projects, promoting a reading culture, collaborating with teachers, providing access to digital resources, and offering reference and consultation services. Collection development is a critical aspect of library management, involving the systematic selection and acquisition of library materials based on user needs, curriculum relevance, and the latest developments in various fields of knowledge. The maintenance and preservation of library collections are also essential to ensure their longevity and accessibility. Effective library management strategies, including the development, maintenance, and preservation of collections, are vital to providing diverse and high-quality resources that support learning, research, and knowledge development in educational environments.

Disinfection in Archives—A Short Review of the Sustainable Approaches and Green Perspectives of Using Radiation for Mass Disinfection

The conservation of the immense archival heritage of a country like Italy presents scholars with the enormous challenge of finding techniques and procedures that enable rapid and large-scale interventions, especially in cases of biodeterioration. The volume of material to be preserved and often the inadequacy of the storage conditions constitute crucial factors that promote microbial growth on substrates such as paper, leather, and parchment. These materials serve as primary sources of sustenance for fungi and bacteria which can infect the collections, and so it is frequently necessary to adopt chemical mass-disinfection treatments. These treatments are often expensive, polluting, and hazardous to the assets, the operators, and the environment. The use of ionizing radiation can provide an environmentally sustainable alternative to the traditional mass disinfection treatments of library and archive materials, which currently involve chemical agents (such as ethylene oxide) that impact the environment and human health. The use of such chemicals is increasingly subject to stringent restrictions. In this work, we report and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of physical disinfection methods, focusing on the use of radiation for disinfection treatments and their effects.

Using Nobel Prize case-based learning in Medical Immunology to cultivate critical thinking dispositions for medical undergraduates

BackgroundCritical thinking has been regarded as an essential skill for college students, which is especially imperative for medical students to possess the ability to have in-depth insight into complex clinical situations. Medical Immunology is an overarching principle connecting multiple medical subjects, which emphasizes that immunity is both beneficial and harmful to the host, thus putting higher demands on students’ critical thinking. The utilization of Nobel Prize stories has been cited as a thematic framework for classroom teaching of other courses, showing numerous educational benefits. Therefore, this study rejuvenated a case-based teaching approach by creating and introducing a vibrant material library centered on numerous iconic Nobel Prize cases in Medical Immunology and evaluating its effects on the critical thinking of medical students.MethodsA total of 70 second-year medical undergraduates from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine were divided into a control group and an experimental group of 35 cases each. Throughout the semester, the control received the traditional teaching method, and the experimental group adopted case-based teaching based on the Nobel prize-centered material library. The process of teaching design and practice was described using “Antitoxin and immunoserum therapy” as a classical example. A unified assessment of the critical thinking dispositions of participants was conducted at the beginning and end of the semester using the Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version (CTDI-CV).ResultsIntra-group longitudinal comparisons and inter-group parallel evaluations indicated that, compared with the conventional teaching approach, Nobel Prize case-based learning induced a statistically significant increase in the overall score of the CTDI-CV, as well as the scores within the subdimensions of truth-seeking, analyticity, and maturity in judgment (p < 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis further indicated a positive correlation between the total score of the CTDI-CV and the final grade (p < 0.05), which emphasized the crucial role of critical thinking dispositions in academic achievement.ConclusionThe case-based classroom teaching centered on Nobel Prize cases for Medical Immunology can effectively improve the critical thinking dispositions of medical undergraduates, which contributes to cultivating high-level medical and healthcare talents with excellent comprehensive quality in the new era.

Developing a High-Throughput Platform for the Discovery of Sustainable Antibacterial Materials.

Healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs) pose a significant global health challenge, exacerbated by the rising threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This study introduces a high-throughput platform designed to identify sustainable antibacterial surfaces, exemplified by a copper-silver-zirconium (CuAgZr) alloy library. Utilizing combinatorial synthesis and advanced characterization techniques, material libraries (MatLibs) are generated and evaluated to rapidly screen diverse alloy compositions. The results demonstrate the ability to reproducibly create alloys with significant antimicrobial properties and high hardness, making them suitable for biomedical applications. The study highlights the critical role of compositional precision in developing materials that balance mechanical strength with antibacterial efficacy. Additionally, this approach ensures significant cost-effectiveness, facilitating the identification of economically viable alloy compositions. This research underscores the potential of high-throughput materials science to expedite the discovery of sustainable solutions for reducing HCAIs and addressing AMR, signaling a leap forward in sustainable healthcare material development.

ADDON FOR BLENDER3D. AUTOMATION OF THE OBJECT TEXTURING PROCESS

Abstract. Today, the use of 3D visualization technologies is one of the key directions in the field of information technologies. The 3D direction has become extremely popular in many fields, such as architecture, interior design, game industry, medicine, automotive and other fields. This method opens up new opportunities for perception and interpretation of information, adding it to a three-dimensional virtual space. The topic of the research work is the creation of a software module (addon) for the Blender3D program, which will provide the user with a library of ready-made materials, divided by categories. This addon has similar functionality to Substance Painter and Quixel Mixer, the main functions of which are to create and adjust materials and textures for imported ready-made 3D models. The addon has its own name "QuickShader" and will provide the user with 8 shaders and 35 PBR materials. Throughout the development of the project, the Waterfall life cycle model was used, stability and a clear structure were put first, which helped to efficiently work through each step of creating an addon for the Blender program. In the conclusion to the scientific work, it can also be noted that the development of a software addon for Blender3D, which includes a library of shader operators and PBR materials, will greatly facilitate the work of users when assigning textures to objects on the scene. A library of shader operators makes it easy to implement and customize shaders for light, glass, and some metals, giving you more control over the visual aspect of the scene. PBR materials provide realism due to the accurate representation of physical properties using Physically Based Rendering technologies. This addon gives users the ability to interact more effectively with procedural materials, providing a quick means to create realistic renders. This module automates the creation of materials by providing a list of prepared shaders and textures that can be applied to scene objects. The user will be provided with a set of ready-made shaders (glass, light material, metals) and PBR materials (wood, fabric, metals, and others), which can be applied with one button on the module panel.

Understanding Christian translation and its missiological relevance

Christian translation is integral to Christian missions that benefit the ingenious people and the gospel. Among early missionary activities, translations of the Bible to vernacular language have tremendous implications for the gospel propagation. Its roots are well spelt out in the early church, which endorsed Christianity as a universal faith. The researchers observe the historical and missiological perspective of Bible translation. They used library materials and internet sources to explain the meaning of translation, such as explaining a text language in the context of the recipients. This article contains a biblical basis for Bible translations, as it was from the early scriptures, and it concludes by explaining the relevance of Christian translation in terms of literacy, preservation of culture and freedom from slavery, among others. Christian translation has helped to create different versions of the Bible; the New Testament alone is available in 1551 languages out of over 7100 languages worldwide. Christian translation shows that Christian missionaries are not another form of a colonising agency because their activities resulted in actions that led to the end of colonisation in many parts of Africa. The author used a descriptive research method for this article.Contribution: From the analysis, Christian translation is a vital part of Christian missions that has many benefits for the ingenious people by preserving their cultural practices and language, among others. It also made Christianity not to be perceived as a foreign religion that has no link with the African Belief system. Christians are to seek to translate more materials, especially the Bible, into other peoples’ languages to have a lasting impact on the indigenous people.

A Smart QR: Based Library Management System

This research is important since libraries are becoming more technologically advanced. For thousands of people, libraries continue to be the main source of information, even in the age of digital information. This research goal is aimed to provide a smart, easy and user- friendly method for managing library materials using QR code system. Currently, the majority of library management systems need a lot of finance, resources, supervision, and human work. With the implementation of this Quick response (QR) code management system, lots of challenges and efforts is reduced drastically ranging from; money, time, energy and other resources. Users of libraries can access a single application that powers this management system. Users can use the system to issue, return, and manage library materials with little to no help from library staff, thanks to the QR code capability. The developed management system streamlines operations, maintains an audit trail, and increases user accessibility to the library.

Assessment of heat tolerance and identification of miRNAs during high-temperature response in grapevine.

With global warming, heat stress has been recognized as a significant factor limiting grapevine development and fruit quality. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs known to play crucial regulatory roles in stress resistance. Hence, there is an immediate requirement to cultivate and identify grapevine varieties that are resistant to heat and explore miRNA-mediated heat stress defense mechanisms. In this study, we assessed the thermal resistance of 38 grape germplasm resources and identified a series of miRNAs involved in heat stress resistance. The CK (25°C) and HS (45°C) groups of "Shenyue" cuttings of grapes were used as experimental materials for next-generation sequencing and construct libraries of small RNAs. A total of 177 known and 20 novel miRNAs were detected in the libraries. Differential expression analysis identified 65 differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) using the DE-Seq procedure. Furthermore, RT-qPCR validation confirmed complementary expression profiles of eight DEMs and their target genes between the HS and CK groups. Heterologous transformation further identified the function of Vvi-miR3633a downregulated under heat stress in Arabidopsis. In the heterologous expression lines, the survival rate was reduced by high temperature treatment indicating the ability of Vvi-miR3633a to regulate heat resistance. Assessing the heat resistance of grape species and the expression patterns of miRNA in response to high temperatures may reveal the molecular processes of heat resistance regulation mediated by miRNA in grapes under heat stress.

The ease of access and availability of online game s on the internet opens up new opportunities as well as challenges. This challenge arises because not all online games are suitable for people to play. Many online games contain negative elements, such as violence, hate speech, and pornography. The provisions in Law No. 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law No. 19 of 2016 on the Amendment to Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions are the main basis for countermeasures in cyberspace. The type of research the author uses is Normative Legal Research (library research). This research is also called a document study conducted by examining library and secondary materials, especially written regulations or other legal products. The results show that the rapid growth of online gaming has led to serious problems such as the spread of hate speech, bullying, and pornographic content. The lack of clarity in regulations makes it difficult to enforce the law against criminals in the online gaming realm. To overcome this problem, collaboration between various parties is needed, with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of law enforcement, developing digital forensic technology, improving regulations, and increasing legal awareness among the public.
