• Apr 30, 2026
 • Ingegneria Sismica
 • Judong Wang

Innovation and entrepreneurship education is the key pivot for the in-depth implementation of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation”. The study goes beyond the single causal factor of innovation and entrepreneurship quality improvement, and introduces the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method, based on the questionnaires of 524 college students, to examine the combination paths of six dimensions: theoretical teaching, faculty allocation, practical activities, service platform, incentive policies and cultural atmosphere from a group perspective. The innovation and entrepreneurship education data are further utilized to portray individual student characteristics. Seventeen multi-dimensional behavioral data including online/offline learning, innovation practice, and output are obtained, and a fine-grained learner profile is constructed, and a deep belief network (DBN) model is constructed to realize the recommendation of innovation and entrepreneurship education curriculum resources. The study reveals five combination paths of “high faculty-practice-driven”, paths and “teaching-motivation-practice-driven” that lead to high activity in creative industries, with a consistency of 0.869. Based on students' final grades and extracurricular practical activity scores, the study clustered five groups, namely, Overall Leaders (78), Academically Focused (146), Balanced Developers (169), Practice-Oriented (63), and Lagging Developers (69), to provide the coordinates for accurate profiling and interventions. The DBN achieved F1=0.34% and 95.19% for both student profile similarity matching and course prediction and recommendation. 91.34% and 95.19% excellent results.

 • Rongyu Huang + 1 more

Under the background of the national strategy of innovation-driven development and the deepening advancement of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" education in higher education institutions, this study focuses on 210 undergraduate students from private universities in Guangdong Province. Based on social cognitive theory and ecological systems theory, a four-dimensional model comprising "individual-teacher-university-national policy" was constructed. Innovative self-efficacy was introduced as a mediating variable, with empirical analysis conducted using SPSS and Amos. Results indicate that university students' innovative awareness, teaching resources, institutional training mechanisms, and national policies all demonstrate significant positive direct correlations with innovative literacy, among which innovative awareness exhibits the strongest association intensity. The four-dimensional factors also show significant positive correlations with innovative self-efficacy, which plays a mediating role in the relationships between these factors and innovative literacy. This study provides an empirical basis for private universities to optimize their innovation education systems.

Affective atmospheres, culture, and commodified translanguaging: decoding Chinese small and micro entrepreneurs’ naming strategies from the perspective of linguistic landscapes
 • Mar 13, 2026
 • Current Issues in Language Planning
 • Bin Ai + 2 more

ABSTRACT In recent years, the Chinese people have been encouraged by the policy of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation to engage in entrepreneurship on a small- or micro- scale. In this process, the entrepreneurs need to name their businesses; the micro-level language planning involved has not been adequately explored in research. By observing businesses in two streets in Liyang city, Jiangsu province, East China, the researchers examined the naming strategies of a cohort of small and micro-entrepreneurs. We found their business names, as their private linguistic landscapes, reflect lived experiences and personal emotions, and are aimed at producing a positive affective atmosphere for business retailing. A detailed analysis of these signs and interview data reveals that Chinese traditional and ethnic cultures, as well as the English language, are mobilized in these linguistic landscapes. Translanguaging practices are revealed in the business owner's use of their entire linguistic repertoire. The commodified language practices reflect their innovation, affect, and agency, and actively play a role in attracting customers. The study explores the value and diversity of naming strategies and affective atmospheres in these linguistic landscapes and offers recommendations for small and micro-entrepreneurs' naming planning. It contributes to current studies in business-oriented multilingual/translanguaging landscapes in the field of micro-level language planning.

The Impact of Entrepreneurship Education, Self-Efficacy, and Creative Thinking on Entrepreneurial Intention among University Undergraduates in Anhui Province
 • Jan 28, 2026
 • Uniglobal Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities
 • Tao Xu + 1 more

In the context of China’s strategic push for "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation," fostering entrepreneurial talent has become a priority for higher education, particularly in developing inland regions like Anhui Province. This study empirically examines the determinants of Entrepreneurial Intention (EI) among university undergraduates by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior and Social Cognitive Theory. specifically, it investigates the influence of Entrepreneurship Education (EE), Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy (ESE), and Creative Thinking (CT). Data were collected via a structured questionnaire from 426 undergraduates across five universities in Anhui Province. The results, analyzed using SPSS 26.0, indicate that Entrepreneurship Education significantly enhances intention, Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy serves as the strongest predictor, and Creative Thinking plays a vital positive role. These findings suggest that universities in Anhui should transcend traditional theoretical teaching to adopt experiential learning models that bolster student confidence and creative capabilities. This research contributes to the literature by validating a multi-dimensional model within the specific socio-economic context of the Yangtze River Delta's inland region.

Research on the Coupling Mechanism of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Local Applied Universities and Regional Economic Development
 • Jan 25, 2026
 • Journal of Education and Educational Research
 • Shiyong Zheng + 2 more

Under the dual background of innovation-driven development strategies and regional economic transformation and upgrading, the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship education in local applied universities (hereinafter referred to as "entrepreneurship and innovation education") has become a key hub linking the supply-side reform of higher education and the demand side of regional economic and social development. This article aims to go beyond the single utilitarian perspective of skills training or competition, and build a systematic and ecological theoretical framework for mass entrepreneurship and innovation education in local applied universities from the philosophical level of integrating instrumental rationality and value rationality. This framework takes "cultivating people with moral integrity and serving the region" as the core value, "multi-dimensional integration and capability advancement" as the practical path, and the collaborative symbiosis of "government, industry, academia, research and innovation" as the ecosystem support. On this basis, this article deeply analyzes the coupling interaction mechanism between the mass entrepreneurship and innovation education system and the regional economic system, and explains how the two achieve collaborative evolution and value co-creation through interdependence and mutual shaping from three dimensions: factor flow (talent, knowledge, capital), talent training collaboration, and resource integration and symbiosis. This study comprehensively uses literature analysis, theoretical deduction and system analysis methods to provide a systematic theoretical reference for deepening the reform of mass entrepreneurship education and solving the "two skins" dilemma between it and the regional economy, and to contribute academic thinking to promote the deep integration of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain.

Determinants of culinary Students' Entrepreneurial Intentions: The role of social media use within dual-theory frameworks.
 • Jan 1, 2026
 • PloS one
 • Xinling Zhong

China's national "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" strategy has sparked growing attention toward cultivating entrepreneurial competencies among university students. As a vital resource and interactive platform, social media profoundly shapes the entire entrepreneurial process. However, existing research lacks a systematic examination of the mechanisms through which social media influences entrepreneurial intentions (EI)-particularly among culinary students. Grounded in Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this study examines the influence of social media use (SMU) on EI among culinary students. Using a snowball sampling method, the researchers surveyed 499 students, collecting self-reported responses across six constructs: SUM, subjective norms (SN), entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE), entrepreneurial attitude (EA), perceived behavioral control (PBC), and EI. A two-stage analytical approach combining Structural Equation Modeling and Artificial Neural Networks was employed to uncover the constructs' complex, nonlinear, and non-compensatory relationships. The results revealed that SMU does not directly influence EI; instead, it exerts a positive indirect effect through the mediating roles of PBC, ESE, and EA. Moreover, the normalized importance derived from the multilayer perceptron indicated that EA (100%) is the most significant predictor of entrepreneurial intention among culinary arts students. This study offers theoretical and practical insights into how social media can be leveraged to foster entrepreneurship among students in the culinary field.

Functional Positioning and Realization Mechanisms of Digital Libraries in the Construction of the University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support System
 • Dec 31, 2025
 • Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
 • Nan Liu

Against the backdrop of the national innovation-driven development strategy and the wave of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, universities have become the main front for cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents. As the knowledge and information hub of universities, digital libraries are transcending their traditional role as literature service providers and transforming into deep-service facilitators for innovation and entrepreneurship education. This paper aims to systematically explore the core functional positioning and realization mechanisms of digital libraries within the university student innovation and entrepreneurship support system. The research posits that the functions of digital libraries should be positioned as: a strategic aggregator of innovation and entrepreneurship resources; an Embedded Support for full-chain literacy education; a creator of virtual-physical integrated maker practice spaces; and a collaborative support platform for smart services. To realize these functions, it is necessary to construct a collaborative realization mechanism centered on “resources-technology-space-librarians,” which specifically includes: building a panoramic and intelligent digital resource system for innovation and entrepreneurship; creating immersive and personalized smart learning and practical training environments; providing professional, discipline-oriented Embedded Support; and establishing an open, collaborative, and sustainable ecological operation model. Combining case analysis, this study points out current challenges such as insufficient resource integration, room for improvement in service precision, a singular competency structure among librarians, and ineffective cross-boundary collaboration mechanisms. Corresponding optimization paths are proposed to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for the deep integration of university libraries into innovation and entrepreneurship education and the construction of a high-quality support system.

The Value,Dilemmas, and Paths of Major-Aligned Entrepreneurship Education in Secondary Vocational Schools:A Case Study of Entrepreneurship Education Practice in the IT Major
 • Dec 28, 2025
 • Theory and Practice of Chinese Pedagogy
 • Li He

This study focuses on the weakest link in current education at secondary vocational schools—the entrepreneurship education aligned with professional majors. Against the backdrop of “Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation, ” the concept of “Three Education Passports” proposed by Colin Ball in the report Learning to Care: Education Roundtable for the 21st Century is particularly crucial. Beyond the academic passport and the vocational passport, “entrepreneurship education” serves as the third core competency following academic and vocational abilities is defined as the “Third Education Passport. ” In Western developed economies, countries represented by the United States have fully integrated entrepreneurship education into their national education systems, with formal education systematically covering entrepreneurship content from elementary, junior high, and high school to undergraduate and graduate levels. However, while secondary vocational schools in China uphold the orientation of “placing equal emphasis on employment and further education”, they have long neglected entrepreneurship education—especially the type closely aligned with academic majors. . In fact, offering major-aligned entrepreneurship education courses in secondary vocational institutions is not only an inherent requirement of the essential attributes of vocational education but also an objective necessity for the development of the new era, and it can serve as a significant driving force for promoting China's economic growth and national rejuvenation. Taking the successful practice of major-aligned entrepreneurship education in an IT major of a secondary vocational school as a case study, this paper explores in depth the value, challenges, feasible paths, and practical methods of such courses. It ultimately concludes that valuing entrepreneurship education, and in particular strengthening entrepreneurship education aligned with academic majors, is the core path to enhancing the attractiveness of secondary vocational schools.

Can economic news sentiment inspire entrepreneurship
 • Nov 24, 2025
 • Scientific Reports
 • Deng Zihan + 2 more

As a way to guide and supervise public opinion, news inevitably contains certain emotional tendencies. Whether such emotional tendencies will have an impact on the entrepreneurial decisions and behaviors of micro-subjects has become an economic topic of great research value. This thesis takes prefecture-level cities from 2013 to 2023 as research samples, compares existing large language models, and uses LERT large language model with better overall performance to measure monthly economic news sentiment in cities, and further studies the impact of news sentiment on regional entrepreneurial vitality. The results of the study found that positive economic news sentiment can increase entrepreneurial vitality in cities, and passed a series of robustness tests. The mechanism analysis shows that the economic news sentiment mainly improves the entrepreneurial vitality of cities by changing expectations, which is embodied in the effect of boosting consumption of consumers, stimulating demand of entrepreneurs and lowering service threshold of financial institutions. Moreover, business environment and regional entrepreneurial failure tolerance can strengthen the effect of economic news sentiment on entrepreneurial vitality. Heterogeneity analysis shows that in areas with lower housing price volatility, higher public attention and lower unemployment rate, economic news sentiment has a more significant promoting effect on urban entrepreneurial vitality. The article provides certain reference significance for exploring how to effectively use modern media to boost the confidence of entrepreneurs, continuously promote mass entrepreneurship to stimulate market vitality, and then cultivate the new momentum of endogenous economic growth when the economy is expected to weaken.

Research on the Cultivation Path of College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ability from the Perspective of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation
 • Nov 17, 2025
 • International Journal of Social Sciences and Public Administration
 • Yu Yu

In the context of the deep integration between the "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation" strategy and higher education reform, innovation and entrepreneurship education has become a key mechanism for cultivating students 'entrepreneurial capabilities in universities. However, current university innovation and entrepreneurship education still faces challenges such as disconnection between curriculum systems and majors, insufficient practical platform support, a lack of professional expertise among faculty, and monolithic evaluation mechanisms, which hinder the effective development of students' entrepreneurial skills. This paper proposes a systematic capability development framework based on the connotation of innovation and entrepreneurship education and the core components of students 'entrepreneurial competencies (innovative thinking, practical skills, collaborative abilities, and risk management capabilities). Through four dimensions- "curriculum integration, platform coordination, faculty empowerment, and evaluation optimization" -the study provides theoretical references and practical solutions to enhance the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities, thereby supporting high-quality entrepreneurship and employment among students.

 • Yanyan Feng + 3 more

Under the national “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” encouragement policy and relevant college education, plus the trend that people, especially college students like to record campus moments as souvenirs via cameras, we take our own “San Jiu Photography Studio” as an example to share specific practices of college students’ photography entrepreneurship. The article conducts an analysis from four dimensions: team formation, operating strategy, innovative practice and entrepreneurial gains. Initially, the studio identified students’ photography needs, integrated available resources, and solved problems as they arose. The studio’s core belief “Life Fragments documentary” records daily trivial moments on campus for students. In addition, we have expanded multi-channels promotion and collaboration, provided personalized services, like customized shoots tailored to individual students’ styles. The startup process brought many challenges, such as insufficient customer base, limited working hardware and some difficult customers, but the studio gradually developed solutions. It holds that team members’ strengths, accurate needs identification, and warm services are the keys to succeeding in the campus photography market. During this Entrepreneurial practice, we have achieved all-round growth, both in capability and cognition. The studio hopes these practices can serve as a reference for other campus entrepreneurs and showcase the potential of college students’ entrepreneurship.

Mechanisms of entrepreneurship policies for back-home migrant workers and the roles of local government: nine cases from East China
 • Oct 24, 2025
 • Management Decision
 • Xianzhou Zhao + 2 more

Purpose The study aims to answer three academic questions: (1) What are the policy mechanisms and the roles of local government in different entrepreneurship stages? (2) What are the boundary conditions under which the market and administrative logic work well in the entrepreneurial growth process? (3) What factors have contributed to the symbiotic evolution of entrepreneurship from a few pioneers to mass entrepreneurs? Design/methodology/approach Given the entrepreneurship process's longitudinal nature and complexity, an embedded longitudinal research design was adopted. This study focuses on back-home migrant worker entrepreneurship in rural China from 2010 to 2022 and selects nine sample enterprises in different entrepreneurship stages in three industries. Data were collected from interviews and archives and then coded, applying the grounded theory approach. Findings The main findings are: (1) The mechanisms of entrepreneurship policies and the roles of local government vary during the different stages of the entrepreneurial process. (2) Either insufficient incentives or excessive intervention by local government will lead to the failure of the mechanisms of entrepreneurship policies. (3) Successful entrepreneurs will attract and help more migrant workers engage in entrepreneurial activities through the three mechanisms of boosting the local economy, constructing favourable institutions and reshaping personal societal roles, thus achieving the symbiotic evolution of entrepreneurship. Originality/value This study's core contribution is to propose a mid-range theory based on the entrepreneurial process, which portrays the mechanism of the entrepreneurial policy portfolio and the dynamics of the role of local government. The study examines the boundary conditions for the substitution or complementarity between the two institutional logics in the entrepreneurial process and its complexity and temporal dynamics, elucidating the symbiotic evolutionary mechanism through which entrepreneurship transitions from individual pioneers to mass entrepreneurship. The study also expands the domain of institutional entrepreneurship research.

The current state of legal regulation of family entrepreneurship and the digitalization of trade turnover
 • Sep 26, 2025
 • Courier of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL))
 • A S Panova

The article is devoted to studying the current state of legal support for family entrepreneurship amid the increasing digitalization of trade turnover. Today, family businesses in Russia are predominantly represented by small and medium-sized enterprises, which can be classified as “mass entrepreneurship.” There remains an ongoing insufficiency and fragmentation in the legal regulation of this sphere of public relations. In this regard, further work is needed to develop provisions in federal legislation regarding family entrepreneurship. The study highlights that in modern conditions, trade turnover will increasingly shift into the realm of e-commerce. The development of family entrepreneurship in the context of digitalization faces challenges related to electronic communications, such as information exchange and negotiations with major online platforms. The article concludes that the market position of family businesses is often “deliberately weak” compared to large economic players. Therefore, family businesses urgently require special state support, the forms, conditions, and procedures of which should be established in legislation. Given that virtual markets will only strengthen their positions in the business world in the foreseeable future, family entrepreneurship legislation must already be structured with an emphasis on digital business technologies.

US restrictions on science and technology venture capital flows to China: Impacts on high-tech industrial development and strategic responses
 • Aug 1, 2025
 • Bulletin of Chinese Academy of Sciences
 • Yuan Zhou + 3 more

Science and technology venture capital (STVC) provides financial and operational support for enterprise’s technological innovation, effectively mitigating risks in entrepreneurial activities. Foreign STVC, represented by that from the United States, has ever played a crucial role. The technology sector has emerged as the primary battleground in Sino-US strategic competition, with tightened restrictions on US-led STVC flows to China becoming a critical tool for suppressing Chinese technological advancement. The study systematically analyzes the key provisions of a series of U.S. legislative acts imposing sanctions on China’s science and technology innovation investments and assesses the characteristics of restriction measures during the Trump 2.0 era. Taking the STVC of American investment institutions to China’s first-tier cities since the implementation of the “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” initiative as the example, the study analyzes the shortcomings of domestic STVC institutions in supporting enterprise innovation, as well as the challenges that Chinese STVC markets and enterprises may face under Trump 2.0. Finally, policy recommendations are proposed to uphold openness and innovation, stabilize and expand the fundamentals of STVC, optimize the domestic STVC market, and cultivate a robust indigenous venture capital ecosystem.

 • Qilong Zhang + 2 more

ABSTRACT This article uses Chinese urban data as a research sample to thoroughly examine the impact and mechanism of digital government construction on urban green innovation. Based on panel data of 287 Chinese cities from 2008 to 2022, we assess how digital government construction affects the degree of urban green innovation using the difference-in-differences technique (DID). Research shows that digital government construction has significantly improved urban green innovation output. The impact is mainly achieved by improving resource allocation and promoting mass entrepreneurship. This paper conducts a heterogeneous analysis of the impact of digital government on green innovation from both natural factors and development factors. The results show that this impact is more significant in coastal cities and non-resource-based cities, and also more significant in cities with better digital infrastructure and a higher level of financial development.
