THE INFLUENCE OF SELF-CARE NURSING THEORY DEVELOPMENT IN PRENATAL HOME CARE SERVICES WITH HEALTH EDUCATION AND GIVING OF DATES PALM JUICE TOWARD ANEMIA CASE

Indonesia has the fourth-highest anemia rate in Southeast Asia, at 30%. Prenatal home care nurses can manage anemia using a self-care approach that includes giving dates juice and health education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of developing self-care nursing theory in prenatal home care services with health education and the provision of date palm juice on anemia at the Batujajar Public Health Center assisted area. This study method is a pre-experiment with a one-group pre and post-test without a control group design. The sample studied was 20 people using a purposive sampling technique using the marginal homogeneity and Wilcoxon statistical tests. The results of the study with the Marginal Homogeneity test obtained p-value = 0.001 < α (0.05), and the Wilcoxon test results obtained the result ρ = 0.000 < α (0.05). This study concludes that the development of self-care nursing theory in antenatal home care services, along with health education and giving date palm juice to anemia cases at Batujajar Health Center assisted area, influences it. This study is expected to be the basis for the method of developing self-care nursing theory in providing health education and interventions to overcome anemia, especially in pregnant women.Keywords: Anemia, dates palm juice, health education, self care nursing theory.

The Effect of Text messages and Education on Cancer Screening in Women Aged 30-65

Abstract Background Despite it is known that cancer screenings reduce cancer-related deaths, screening rates are still inadequate. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of text messaging and training on cancer screening in women aged 30-65. Methods This non-randomized controlled trial was conducted with 120 women aged 30-65 between November 2023 and April 2024 in Tekirdağ, Türkiye. Participants were divided into the text message group (TMG) (n = 60), the training group (TG) (n = 60), and the control group (CG) (n = 60). In the text message group, every participant received text messages about cancer and importance of screening procedures, one a day for ten days. The training group was educated for a session that lasted 45 min. Data was collected both before and 3 months after the intervention, using a questionnaire that included two parts (sociodemographic characteristics and stages of change for cancer screening practices). Data was analyzed using the Marginal Homogeneity test. Results The rates of those who had a pap smear test, breast self-examination (BSE), mammography, and stool occult blood screening were found to be significantly higher in both the text message group and the training group in the post-test than the pre-test. (p<.001). In the text message group, there was an increased rate of 43.4% for pap smear test, 25% for BSE, 17.3% for mammography, and 10% for stool occult blood screening. In the training group, there was an increased rate of 31,7 % for pap smear test, 26,7% for BSE, 13,3% for mammography, and 23,4 % for stool occult blood screening. There was no change in the control group. Conclusions The results showed that both text messages and training about cancer screening are effective in increasing the rate of cervix, breast, and colorectal cancer screening. Key messages • Text messaging about cancer screening is as effective as training in increasing the rate of cervix, breast, and colorectal cancer screening. • Text messaging interventions may be an effective and practical way to increase cancer screening rates in populations most affected by health disparities.

Recommendation for Clinical T Staging in Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: Volumetric Measurement: A Retrospective Study from Turkey.

Currently, clinical T staging in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is based on the largest radiological diameter observed on computed tomography (CT). Under this system, tumors with varying shapes-such as spherical, amorphous, or spiculated tumors- can be assigned the same T stage even with different volumes. We aimed to propose a 3-dimensional (3D) volumetric staging system for NSCLC as an alternative to diameter-based T staging and to conduct comparative survival analyses between these methods. We retrospectively analyzed data from patients who underwent surgery for pT1-4N0M0 primary NSCLC between January 2018 and May 2022. Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine data from patient CT scans were uploaded to 3D Slicer software for volumetric tumor measurement. Using the paired samples t-test or the Wilcoxon test, we compared the expected tumor volumes, calculated by tumor diameter, with the actual volumes measured by 3D Slicer. Receiver operating characteristic analysis was employed to determine the cut-off value for tumor volume. Kaplan-Meier analysis was utilized to assess overall survival, while the log-rank method was applied to compare survival differences between groups. The significance of changes in T stage was evaluated using the marginal homogeneity test. The study included 136 patients. Significant differences were observed between expected and actual tumor volumes (p=0.01), and associated changes in T stage were also significant (p=0.04). The survival analysis performed using tumor volume (p=0.009) yielded superior results compared to that based on diameter (p=0.04) in paients with early tumor stage. T-factor staging based on tumor volume could represent an alternative staging method for NSCLC.

An educational intervention study on mandatory reporting of intimate partner violence: changes in knowledge and attitudes among healthcare providers

BackgroundIntimate partner violence (IPV) is a major public health concern. Healthcare providers can play a crucial role in reporting cases of IPV or suspected IPV injuries to the police or the criminal justice system, commonly referred to as mandatory reporting. However, mandatory reporting of intimate partner violence (MR-IPV) is a debated topic that can pose complex challenges for healthcare providers. This underscores the importance of training programs to ensure that healthcare providers can fulfill their MR-IPV obligations.MethodsWe developed an educational intervention on MR-IPV and assessed its impact on healthcare providers’ knowledge and attitudes. The study used a pre- and post-test design with three measurement points: baseline (T0), immediately after the intervention (T1), and six months later (T2). The intervention was conducted at a university college in Norway, with data collected between October 2022 and May 2023. The intervention was delivered to 37 healthcare providers who were currently part-time students in mental healthcare. Changes in knowledge and attitudes between T0 and T1, and T0 and T2 were analyzed through nonparametric tests on related samples using the Marginal homogeneity (Stuart–Maxwell) test. Risk differences (RD), along with their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI), were calculated for selected categories.ResultsThe number of participants knowing the MR law increased from 2.9% at baseline to 62.9% at T1 (RD = 0.60, 95% CI: 0.41—0.79) and to 31.4% at T2 (RD = 0.29, 95% CI: 0.11–0.46). The number of participants reporting knowing relevant criteria increased from 0.0% at baseline to 68.6% at T1 (RD = 0.69, 95% CI: 0.50–0.87) and to 34.3% at T2 (RD = 0.34, 95% CI: 0.16—0.53). We observed several persistent changes in healthcare providers' attitudes towards MR, including finding MR to be a useful instrument and generally complying with MR requirements.ConclusionsThe findings suggest that this educational intervention can have a positive impact on healthcare providers' attitudes and compliance with MR-IPV. Before the intervention, few participants reported knowing the MR law and its application criteria, demonstrating the importance of continuous learning and evidence-based training programs.

Three-year clinical performance of direct restorations using low-shrinkage Giomer vs. nano-hybrid resin composite

ObjectivesThe objective of this investigation was to compare the clinical performance of a nano-hybrid resin composite and a low-shrinkage Giomer resin composite.Material and methodsIn total, 35 pairs of restorations were performed using either low-shrinkage Giomer (Beautifil II LS, Shofu Inc.) or nano-hybrid (Clearfil Majesty Posterior) resin composite in 35 patients by two operators using the relevant adhesives, i.e., FL-Bond II (Shofu Inc.) and Clearfil SE Bond (Kuraray), with the self-etching technique according to each manufacturer's instructions. Two clinicians assessed the restorations 2 weeks (baseline); 6 months; and 1, 2, and 3 years after the restorative procedures using FDI (World Dental Federation) criteria (Scores 1–5). Data were analyzed using the marginal homogeneity and McNemar tests. The survival rate was calculated using Kaplan–Meier survival analysis and the survival of the two groups was compared with the log-rank test (p = 0.05).ResultsThe mean observation period was 37.7 ± 6.8 months. All restorations completed their 3-year follow-up. The criteria were mainly rated with high (1 or 2) scores for quality in both groups. Only one restoration in the low-shrinkage Giomer resin composite group was accepted as a failure at the 2-year recall due to retention loss.ConclusionAt the 3-year follow-up, the performance of the restorations using the Giomer and the nano-hybrid resin composite were similar and clinically acceptable.Clinical relevanceThe low-shrinkage Giomer resin composite exhibited a similar clinical performance to the nano-hybrid resin composite after 3 years in service with both materials displaying minor surface deteriorations at the 3-year recall.Clinical Trial Registrationhttps://clinicaltrials.gov, identifier: NCT02823769.

Effects of a multicomponent training and detraining on frailty status, physical activity level, sedentary behavior patterns and physical performance of pre-frail older adults: a randomized controlled trial.

To evaluate the effects of a multicomponent training protocol and detraining on frailty status, physical activity level, sedentary behavior patterns, and physical performance in pre-frail older adults. A randomized controlled blinded trial was conducted with pre-frail older adults (74.8 ± 6.4years, 70.4% female), who were allocated to receive a multicomponent training (MulTI = 16) or control group (CG = 11), which received guidance to maintain their daily living habits. Assessments of the frailty phenotype, physical activity levels measured by accelerometer, and physical performance (gait speed, timed up and go, short physical performance battery) were conducted at pre-intervention, post-intervention (16weeks), and follow-up (6weeks). The effect of the intervention was analyzed using the marginal homogeneity test and the two-way ANOVA with repeated measures. All older adults who received the MulTI reversed their frailty status to non-frail (p < 0.001), and after follow-up, 87.5% remained non-frail. In the CG, one older adult reversed their frailty status to non-frail and another became frail (p > 0.05), maintaining this status after the follow-up period. Furthermore, only the older adults in the MulTI showed an improvement in gait speed post-intervention, which was maintained through follow-up (p = 0.008). No changes were observed in the other variables. The MulTI was efficient to reverse the process of frailty and improving gait speed in pre-frail older adults. However, receiving only the MulTI was not sufficient to increase physical activity levels and reduce sedentary behavior patterns, necessitating the implementation of behavioral change strategies. The Effect of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Intervention on Reducing Anxiety and Improving the Quality of Self-Coping of Pregnant Women in the Working Area of the Nilam Sari Community Health Center, Bukittinggi City 2015

One indicator of the success of health services is reflected in the decline in maternal mortality. but in reality in Indonesia it is still relatively high. One of the factors that affect the health of pregnant women is excessive anxiety. The result of various studies in the world show, excessive anxiety in pregnancy adversely affect the quality of pregnancy and can lead to complications, mental health development of children. This study aims, know the effect of interventions Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to decrease anxiety and quality of coping pregnant women in the region Puskesmas Nilam Sari Bukittinggi 2015. The method used in this study is Quasy Experiment design non randomized pretest – post test without control with a sample of 16 pregnant women categories moderate to very hight anxiety. Measuring Instruments used quesionnaires Pregnancy Anxiety Scale (PSA), Pregnancy Related Anxiety Scale (PRAS), Revised Ways Of Coping Scale (WCQR), and an Intervention Module designed practicing with psychologist regarding principle of step Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Analysis of data using Friedman test, Wilcoxon and Marginal Homogeneity test.

Pengaruh Bimbingan Kelompok dengan Peer Group Education terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan tentang Perilaku Seksual Pranikah Remaja di SMK Bina Informatika Kota Bogor Tahun 2024

Adolescent sexual behavior can be influenced by exposure to mass media, both print and electronic. One of the efforts to improve adolescents' knowledge about sexual behavior is by providing health education. Peers are also a significant source of information about sex in shaping adolescents' sexual knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of Group Guidance with Peer Group Education on the Level of Knowledge about Premarital Sexual Behavior of Adolescents at Smk Bina Informatika Bogor City. This study used a pre-experimental research design of the pre-post part in one group (One-group pre-post test design). The results showed that based on the Marginal Homogeneity Test obtained (Asymp.Sig) 0.000 &lt;0.05, Ha was accepted, meaning that there were differences before and after being given group guidance with peer group techniques about adolescent premarital sexual behavior.

COMPARATIVE METHODS OF SNOWBALL AND BRAINSTORMING ON MATERNAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DANGEROUS SIGNS OF PREGNANCY

Introduction. Maternal and infant mortality in Indonesia is still quite persistent. Maternal knowledge of danger signs in pregnancy is one of the factors that can affect expectant mothers at high risk of pregnancy risk signs. Snowball is a multilevel discussion which eventually leads to consensus responses, while brainstorming begins with the group leader presenting a particular problem and then each participant responds with an opinion or feedback. The aim of this research is to find out the comparison of snowball and brainstorming methods on maternal knowledge about the danger signs of pregnant women. Method. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a one-group design that is pre-tested and post-tested using the Snowball method and Brain Storming group. The population was 45 expectant mothers who made antenatal visits. The samples consisted of 26 expectant mothers who were selected by purposive sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed by Marginal Homogeneity test. Result &amp; Analysis. Before the health promotion, most respondents in the brainstorming group had sufficient knowledge (61.5%) and those with insufficient knowledge amounted to 38.5%. After being trained with the brainstorming method, respondents' knowledge increased to 53.8% with good knowledge, 38.5% with fair knowledge, and 7.7% with insufficient knowledge (p value 0.008). Meanwhile, 92.3% of the respondents' knowledge was insufficient and 7.7% of the respondents' knowledge was adequate (p value 0.008). However, after the health promotion, the respondents' knowledge changed to 46.1% moderately knowledgeable, 38.5% less knowledgeable, and 15.4% well knowledgeable (p value 0.013). Discussion. There is a significant difference in the knowledge of pregnant women before and after being promoted with the brainstorming and snowball methods. It is expected that the brainstorming health promotion method can be applied as one of the methods in improving the knowledge of pregnant women.

A new technique of monsplasty as an adjunctive procedure in cases of abdominoplasty: A prospective clinical trial

BackgroundNo standard monsplasty technique has existed until now. Although various monsplasty methods have been described, they exhibit high complication rates with sparse postoperative data. Studies that used pubic suspension techniques did not describe exact anatomical landmarks for the mons pexy. This study aimed to improve the aesthetic and functional appearance of the pubic region with long-term results for all grades of pubic ptosis or bulging with abdominoplasty and provide exact anatomical points to anchor the mons to the rectus sheath. MethodsThis non-randomized prospective clinical trial included 30 patients with various degrees of abdominal wall laxity between December 2017 and September 2019. The surgical procedure was performed for female patients with pendulous abdomen, pubic ptosis or bulging, body mass index ≤35 ​kg/m2, and age 18–60 years. All patients were followed for up to one year; patient satisfaction was assessed before and after surgery regarding aesthetic results and impact on outfits, hygiene, and sexual activity. ResultsThe marginal homogeneity test revealed a statistically significant patient satisfaction rate regarding outfits, sexual function, hygiene, and aesthetics. Regarding postoperative complications, seroma (one case) was managed by aspiration, and one case of wound dehiscence was managed conservatively with dressings. ConclusionThis study recommends a quick and reproducible monsplasty technique with a low complication rate, a technique that helps determine specific anatomical landmarks for anchoring the mons to the rectus sheath. Combining this technique with abdominal contouring is advisable for optimal aesthetic results and maintained lymphatic drainage in the pubic region. Increasing Elderly Knowledge about Hypertension Crisis with Audio-Visual Media

ABSTRACT Hypertensive crisis is the most common problem in the elderly resulting from uncontrolled hypertension. A common problem that is a factor causing a hypertensive crisis is ignorance regarding how to treat and prevent the disease, which increases the risk of a hypertensive crisis, so a means of increasing knowledge is needed, namely audio-visual media. The aim of this activity is to increase the elderly's knowledge about hypertensive crises using audio-visual media. The activity was held on December 21, 2023, regarding audio-visual media education about preventing hypertensive crises in the elderly, located at the Mojogedang Mental Revolution House. There were 42 elderly people who took part in the activity in the elderly posyandu area. The pretest results showed that 15 people (35.7%) dominated the elderly's knowledge as poor. The posttest results showed that knowledge of the elderly was dominated by 18 people (42.9%). The marginal homogeneity test obtained a p value of 0.000, which concluded that audio-visual media is an alternative means of increasing the knowledge of the elderly. In conclusion, community service using audio-visual media methods regarding the prevention of hypertensive crises in the elderly significantly helps in increasing the knowledge of the elderly. CLINICAL PERFORMANCE OF EQUIA FORTE FILL. GAENIAL POSTERIOR, CENTION N IN CLASS II CAVITY IN PRIMARY TEETH- AN IN VIVO STUDY

Context: Aims:The aim of this study is to compare clinical performance of EQUIA Forte Fill. G-Aenial Posterior, Cention N in class II cavity in primary teeth- An In vivo study Setting and design:The study was conducted at Himachal Institute of dental sciences, Department of Pediatrics and Preventive dentistry, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh Subject and methods:In total 45 class II restorations were performed in patients aged 4-9 years using three different restorative materials: EQUIA Forte Fill [EF], GAenial Posterior [GP], Cention N [CN]. The restorations were evaluated using method USPHS criteria in terms of anatomic form, secondary caries, color match, retention, marginal adaptation, polishability, surface staining, pre and post operative sensitivity, soft tissue health, proximal contact point. The data was analized using chi-square test, McNemars test, marginal homogeneity test. Statistical analysis used: The statistical analysis was done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS for Windows, Version 19.0). Descriptive statistics were calculated as frequency and percentage. The comparison of study parameters at various time periods among the three study groups was done using chi-square test. Comparison of change in study parameters at various time periods was assessed using McNemars test and marginal homogeneity test. The level of significance for the present study was fixed at a p-value of less than 0.05. Result:The clinical performance of GAenial Posterior was superior to EQUIA Forte Fill and Cention N Conclusion:GAenial Posterior is a promising user-friendly restorative material that can be used to restore carious primary teeth. It offers a better restorative properties like aesthetics, improved radiopacities and can be manipulated with ease by the clinicians.

Application of The Tri Core Breastfeeding Model Using Audiovisual-Based E-Modules to Increase The Motivation Of Working Mothers in Exclusive Breastfeeding in The Working Area of The Wonoayu Sidoarjo Health Center

The tri core breastfeeding model is a health education model for breastfeeding mothers that includes three main aspects: lactation education, self-efficacy or increased confidence in breastfeeding mothers, and support from the surrounding environment. The importance of increasing self-confidence when breastfeeding, especially in working mothers, is something that needs to be considered. The government's efforts to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage are contained in Government Regulation No.33/2012 on breastfeeding. This study aims to analyze the application of tri core breastfeeding models using audiovisual-based e-modules to increase the motivation of working mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. This study used a quasy experiment method with a non-equivalent control group design. The intervention group (18 people) used e-modules, while the control group used e-leaflets (18 people). The results of this study obtained ρvalue 0.000 &lt; α = 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the use of audiovisual-based e-module media and e-leaflets on increasing motivation for exclusive breastfeeding in working mothers. Data analysis in this study used marginal homogeneity test and mann whitney test. The application of tri core breastfeeding models using audiovisual-based e-modules is expected to be able to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage in working mothers.

Effect Of Health Education Video Of Bullying Behavior On Student’s Knowledge

Background: Bullying is a harmful behavior, especially among elementary school students. Bullying problems and cases that occur must get special attention, so efforts are needed to overcome them. One of the efforts that can be done is through health education using video media. Methods: This research with Quasi experiment approach with pretest- posttest without control group design. Health education was conducted for 10 minutes and repeated 3 times to test the effect of the intervention. The population in this study were all fifthgrade students at SDN Cisarua, West Bandung Regency, to 70 people. This study used a total sampling technique. This research has been conducted at SDN Cisarua, West Bandung Regency, data collection was taken in March 2024. Results: there was an effect of health education with video on bullying behavior on student knowledge. After being given health education there are 50 students with good knowledge, 20 students with sufficient knowledge and no students with poor knowledge. The results of the analysis using the marginal homogeneity test obtained a value of p = 0.0001 &lt;0.05, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of health education on the knowledge of respondents. Conclusions: Health education through video media can increase knowledge about bullying on the knowledge of elementary school students.

The Influence of DAGUSIBU Education on the Knowledge of Dasan Borok Village Cadres

The inadequate knowledge about drugs usage might be leading to emerging the unwanted effect of drugs. Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia, the committee of pharmacists in Indonesia, by their DAGUSIBU program make an attempt to overcome that problem. To increase the public knowledge, DAGUSIBU is implemented by educate public about four principal of drugs usage as how to get; how to use; how to store; and how to dispose the drugs. By establishing this program especially for the cadre of posyandu program, it is hoped the cadre might have impactful role to arising the public awareness and knowledge about drugs usage. This research is aimed to increase the knowledge of the cadre in Dasan Borok Vilage about drugs usage by DAGUSIBU program. This research was designed as quasi experimental using pretest-posttest analysis by questionnaire and education treatment as instrument research. There were 30 cadres take this program as participants. As the results, its was known that education treatment significantly enhance participants knowledge about drugs usage proven by pretest and postest analysis using marginal homogeneity test.

The Effectiveness of Mind-Body Intervention on Psychological Well-Being during the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Pilot Pre-Post Interventional Study.

The pandemic highlighted the need for alternative, more accessible access to mental health interventions that can be readily administered remotely. The purpose of this pre-post-interventional study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a virtual mind-body medicine training course on stress, anxiety, and depression levels. University employees and members of the Las Vegas community were recruited via self-selection and snowball sampling and subjected to online mind-body practice sessions in December of 2020. Stress, anxiety, depression, and quality of life were assessed pre- and post-intervention using standardized psychometric valid tools. The paired t-test and related samples marginal homogeneity tests were used for continuous and categorical outcomes, respectively. Depression and stress scores were significantly decreased (p < 0.001). Mean scores of professional quality of life improved post-intervention compared to pre-intervention (p = 0.03). A significantly larger proportion of participants reported no depression or stress post-intervention compared with pre-intervention (p < 0.001, p = 0.003, respectively.) This study suggests that virtual mind-body practices had a pronounced impact on stress and depression levels during the pandemic. These findings support virtual, online-guided mind-body medicine training as an effective intervention that can be administered virtually to reduce stress and depression symptoms.

Bulk-Fill Ormocer versus Methacrylate-Based Resin Composite Restorative Systems: The Effect of Flowable Lining on Two-Year Clinical Performance in Class II Cavities

Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to assess and compare the impact of bulk-fill flowable resin composite liners (BFFL) on the 2-year clinical performance of bulk-fill ormocer (BORC) in comparison to methacrylate-based resin composites (BMRC) in Class II cavities. Materials and Methods Thirty participants, each aged between 18 and 30 years, were included in the study, each presenting four class II cavities. A total of 120 restorations were placed, with participants randomly assigned to one of four restorative systems through a blind drawing: Admira Fusion X-Tra (AFX) alone, AFX after lining with Admira Fusion Xtra-Base (AFB), X-Tra Fill (XF) for complete cavity filling, and XF after lining with Xtra-Base (XB). The universal adhesive system (Futura U bond Voco, Germany) was consistently applied for all restoration techniques using selective enamel etching. A single operator, following the manufacturer's instructions for each material, performed all restorations, and finishing/polishing occurred immediately after placement. Clinical evaluation, based on World Dental Federation (FDI) criteria, was conducted by two blinded examiners at baseline (7 days) and at 6, 12, and 24 months postoperatively. Results The chi-squared test was used to compare the four applied restorative systems within each follow-up period, while the marginal homogeneity test was employed to assess changes over time. No statistically significant differences were observed among the four restorative systems at any evaluation period. Conclusions After 2 years, the clinical performance of BFFL or complete bulk-fill technique remained similar, regardless of the material composition.

Evaluation of Honey and Propolis Consumption Habits of Adults During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Objective: This study was conducted to assess the consumption preferences and quantities of bee products in adults and to determine change in consumption of honey and propolis during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Material and Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 1217 individuals between November 2021 and March 2022. An online questionnaire was used for data collection, which included descriptive characteristics and participants' honey and propolis consumption habits. The data was analyzed using number, percentage, mean, McNemar, and Marginal Homogeneity test. Results: In this study, mean age of individuals was 26.84±10.96 years, 68.9% were male, 51.8% had a secondary education, and 73.4% had no chronic disease. It was found that honey and propolis increased among subjects during the pandemic (p&amp;lt;0.001). Participants consume honey and propolis because they are tasty and nutritious, strengthen immune system, and are effective in treating diseases. It was found that participants preferred filtered honey as honey type and multi-floral blossom honey (plateau) and honeydew (pine) as honey variety. Conclusion: This study is the first study with a large sample size conducted in Türkiye to determine the consumption of honey and propolis in adults during the pandemic and to evaluate the changes due to the pandemic. The results of this study show that the consumption of honey and propolis has increased during the pandemic.

The Effect of O'clock Puzzle Playing Therapy on Cognitive Function in the Elderly in Nursing Home Area 3 Cirebon in 2023

Significant changes in the neurological system, which can lead to a decline in cognitive function, are shared among the aged. Giving puzzle play therapy to senior citizens is one way to enhance their cognitive abilities. This study aims to find out how O'clock Puzzle Play Therapy affects cognitive function in the elderly at Nursing Home Region 3 Cirebon in 2023. This study uses a pretest-posttest with a control group design and a proper experimental design. A total of 40 respondents make up the sample, which is obtained by complete sampling. They are employing the SPMSQ questionnaire to assess the cognitive abilities of the elderly. Univariate and bivariate data analysis was performed using the data normalcy test and the marginal homogeneity test. When older patients receiving o'clock puzzle play therapy were compared to those who did not get therapy, the results of the intellectual evaluation score using the SPMSQ showed a substantial rise. Four older adults from the intervention group (26.7%) who had severe cognitive impairment during the SPMSQ assessment prior to playing the o'clock puzzle therapy had severe intellectual impairment. In contrast, the number of older adults in the intervention group who had severe intellectual impairment decreased to zero. The study's findings, when combined with the Asymptotic value of the Marginal Homogeneity Test, indicate that o'clock puzzle play therapy impacts cognitive performance in the senior residents of the regional 3 Cirebon caring facility. 0.002 as the 2-tailed significance. Coronal Diffusion-Weighted Imaging Does Not Improve Detection of Posterior Fossa Infarcts Compared With Conventional Axial Diffusion-Weighted Imaging.

Recent publications have suggested incorporating coronal diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) sequences and axial DWI sequences to enhance the detection of posterior fossa infarcts (PFIs). This study evaluated the utility of coronal DWIs compared with axial DWIs for assessing PFIs in the emergency department (ED). A retrospective, institutional review board-approved study was conducted at a level I stroke center, including 118 patients who presented to the ED between 2016 and 2023 with suspected PFI. Inclusion criteria involved patients who underwent emergent 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and had axial and coronal DWI sequences. Two neuroradiologists independently evaluated the DWI sequences for PFI detection in 2 rounds, with a 4-week interval between rounds. The neuroradiologists assessed the quality of axial and coronal DWIs using a 5-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, interrater reliability, and marginal homogeneity tests were performed. Among the 118 MRI scans, 23 (19%) showed PFI on axial and coronal DWI sequences. All 23 cases were identified on axial DWI, whereas 8 cases of PFI (35%) were not detected on coronal DWI ( P value = 0.013). No PFIs were observed on coronal DWI that was not identified on axial DWI. The quality scores for both raters were significantly higher for axial DWIs than coronal DWIs ( P value <0.00001). Despite recent recommendations advocating for the inclusion of coronal DWI in PFI detection, this study's findings indicate no improvement in PFI detection or image quality using coronal DWI. Further research is necessary to validate these results and explore the potential benefits of incorporating coronal DWI in assessing posterior fossa strokes.
