Suboptimal archive management can negatively impact an organization's efficiency, due to wasted time searching for documents that should be quickly accessible, thus decreasing work productivity at the Bengkulu City Education and Culture Office. Archive digitization emerged as an alternative to increase effectiveness and security in document management. Archiving is understood as an institutional activity related to the processing and storage of incoming and outgoing information (such as letters, reports, and forms). Computerized systems, recording, storing, and searching for letters become faster and more accurate, reducing the possibility of document loss, and providing more flexible access for users. The conclusions from the socialization and practice of creating this Archivist application are: 1. Participants gave a very positive response to the guidance carried out by the team from the Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu in the socialization, training, and practice of creating a library website, saying that the activity received a positive response of 95% of the total aspects asked. 2. This Archivist application greatly supports the Office in processing archive data at the Bengkulu City Education and Culture Office. 3. Additional training is needed to broaden the knowledge of both employees and operational staff to ensure orderly administration at the Bengkulu City Education and Culture Office.

In the contemporary digital ecosystem, the university library website has transcended its traditional role as a static information page to become a dynamic "virtual gateway" for intellectual engagement. As higher education institutions increasingly rely on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to bridge the gap between physical collections and remote users, the web presence of a library becomes a critical indicator of its institutional vitality. This research paper presents a comprehensive content analysis of the University Central Library website of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat. Utilizing a descriptive content analysis methodology, this study audits the library's digital presence across five key dimensions: general infrastructure, collection digitization, e-resource accessibility, research support services, and administrative transparency. The findings reveal that VNSGU has successfully established a hybrid information environment, managed by SOUL 3.0 software, providing access to over 2.1 lakh print volumes and a vast digital repository through the "One Nation One Subscription" (ONOS) initiative. The study further highlights unique strengths, including the "Shantaben Ishwarbhai Savani" Research Repository and the deployment of assistive technologies like the KIBO XS device for visually impaired scholars. The paper concludes that while the VNSGU library website effectively serves as the "heart" of the university's research infrastructure, future integrations of Web 2.0 tools could further enhance user engagement.

The purpose of the article is to analyze electronic document collections as a component of the information space of a modern library, to determine their role in meeting the information needs of remote users in the conditions of digitalization of library structures and martial law in our country, to determine the current state and prospects for development. The methodology. In the research we applied methods of analysis, synthesis and comparison. The analysis method allowed us to analyze the features of creating electronic document collections presented on regional, Ukrainian and foreign library sites. The synthesis method allowed us to determine the main aspects of the functioning of electronic libraries on regional, Ukrainian and foreign library sites. The comparison method was used to determine the types and features of electronic document collections presented on the websites of the libraries of Dnipro. The results. Analysis of the experience of foreign libraries and the libraries of Dnipro, statistical indicators of site attendance prove that electronic document collections are an essential component of the information space of a modern library, which contributes to the quantitative, qualitative and operational provision of information needs of remote users. Currently, the organization of electronic document collections is one of the main areas of activity for most libraries in the region, where there are many obstacles: inadequate funding, lack of material and technical base, personnel, lack of a clear definition in the legislation of Ukraine of the rights of book collections to store and provide the opportunity to use digital versions of printed publications for scientific, educational or cultural purposes, etc. The scientific novelty. In the conditions of martial law in our country and the transition of most library structures to digital technologies, the main areas of library and information activity are constantly changing. One of the main aspects of meeting the information needs of remote users and the functioning of a modern library is the creation of electronic document collections presented on library websites. The practical significance. Three options for solving problems on the way to creating electronic document collections by modern libraries are proposed. 1) Own projects of libraries to create electronic funds and document collections with financial support from the state or sponsors; 2) Formation of full-text corporate digital resources by libraries of a separate region and providing access to real and remote users; 3) Organization of training of relevant specialists at advanced training courses, or in higher education institutions. Conclusions. Analysis of the experience of foreign libraries and the libraries of Dnipro, statistical indicators of site attendance prove that electronic document collections are an essential component of the information space of a modern library, which contributes to the quantitative, qualitative and operational provision of the information needs of remote users. Currently, the organization of electronic document collections is one of the main areas of activity for most libraries in the region, where there are many obstacles: inadequate funding, lack of material and technical resources, personnel, the absence in the legislation of Ukraine of a clear definition of the rights of book collections to store and provide the opportunity to use digital versions of printed publications for scientific, educational or cultural purposes, etc. Therefore, we offer the following options for solving the above problems: 1) Own projects of libraries to create electronic funds and document collections with financial support from the state or sponsors; 2) Formation of full-text corporate digital resources by libraries of a separate region and providing access to real and remote users; 3) Organization of training of relevant specialists at advanced training courses, or in higher education institutions.

The RF government has approved The Strategy for Librarianship that, above all, comprises the tasks of providing equitable access of the citizens to information and building inclusive library space. To assess the strategy implementation, G. A. Albrech Federal Research and Educational Center for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation of the RF Ministry of Labor and Social Security monitors annually the degree of library services accessibility and implementation of the ”roadmaps” by the regional authorities. The data are collected through a digital hub. The authors cite the findings of the survey: number of accessible e-libraries in the RF entities, and municipal and regional library websites available for visually impaired users. The indicators obtained correspond to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) domains and unified scale. The resulting ranking evidences that the sector of inclusive library services is common in Russia. However, the limitation of this assessment is that it is based exclusively on the indicators included into the regional “roadmaps”. The survey findings are incorporated when planning for facilitating libraries accessibility on the regional level. The study is accomplished within the R&D project “Scientific rationale and development of proposals for targeting accessibility of objects and services for disabled persons” as approved by the RF Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

The rapid advancement of technology has revolutionized the educational landscape with electronic information resources playing a pivotal role in academic processes. This study investigates the usage patterns of electronic resources among research scholars at universities in Lahore, Pakistan. Employing a quantitative research design, data was collected through a structured questionnaire from a sample of 277 MPhil and PhD researchers. The findings reveal that while awareness levels vary across different types of e-resources, usage frequency is generally high for essential tools such as library catalogues, e-books and dissertations/theses. However, resources like HEC databases and institutional repositories show lower usage despite moderate awareness. The most preferred e-resources include HEC journal databases, institutional websites and university library websites. Scholars primarily use e-resources for coursework, updating subject knowledge, teaching, research and writing assignments. The PDF format is favored for its ease of use and the central library is the most preferred location for accessing e-resources. Scholars face challenges such as inadequate computer facilities, frequent power outages and limited digital literacy skills. Recommendations include increasing user education, expanding subscriptions to international publications and addressing technical and usability issues. By adopting these strategies, university libraries in Pakistan can foster greater engagement with e-resources, support academic excellence and contribute to the development of a robust research culture. This study provides valuable insights into the usage patterns and preferences of research scholars, which can inform the design and delivery of e-resource services in academic libraries.

Academic libraries are essential in the modern technology environment as they provide a wide range of information and facilities through their websites, contributing to the achievement of educational goals. The quality of these dig-ital platforms is growing in importance as they influence users’ experiences and academic performance. This study aims to identify the factors that are connected with library website quality and develop a model that evaluates the effect of the quality of the library website (QoW) on user satisfaction for academic achievement (AA) by comparing service quality within the library (QoLP) and non-library website quality (QoNLW) at the University of Ruhuna using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). For this purpose, a survey was carried out among 591 undergraduates at University of Ruhuna through a structured questionnaire. This study revealed that information quality (QoI), usability quality (QoU), and service interaction quality (QoSI) are the three main factors influencing library website quality throughout factor analysis. The SEM model showed that the library website quality explained 79.9% of the variation in user satisfaction. The study found that QoSI, QoU, QoI significantly impacted user satisfaction. Subsequently, QoW and QoLP significantly influenced academic achievement, while QoNLW had a strong impact. These results can serve as a valuable reference for university library administrators to improve the services provided on the library website and ensure students’ academic achievements by helping them develop and utilize necessary skills.

The study is devoted to a systematic analysis of the implementation of open science principles in Ukrainian higher education institutions and research organizations. The methodological basis is the content analysis of official websites of universities, research insti-tutes, and libraries, which made it possible to assess the level of openness of scientific commu-nications and the availability of research outputs. Particular attention is paid to the evaluation of the National Open Science Plan and the provisions reflected in the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Implementation of Open Science Principles.”The purpose of the article is to determine the degree of integration of open access policies, research data management, and FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reus-able) into the activities of Ukrainian universities and research institutions. The study focuses on key terms, criteria, and indicators that make it possible to assess progress in implementing open science at the institutional level and to compare Ukrainian practices with international standards. The results highlight the uneven nature of open science implementation: leading universi-ties and institutions engaged in international projects demonstrate higher levels of adaptation, while the majority of organizations remain at the initial stage of establishing open access and research data management policies. Both positive practices (creation of institutional reposito-ries, introduction of copyright transfer agreements, organization of seminars and training courses) and barriers (technical, organizational, and regulatory) were identified. Thus, this research has practical significance for developing recommendations on harmo-nizing national science policy with European requirements, as well as for defining priorities for the further development of Ukraine’s institutional open science infrastructure

Virtual museums are a promising form of disclosure and popularization of unique book collections. The purpose of the study of the websites of central regional libraries in 2025 was to identify the best library practices in organizing digital resources. The number of virtual museums identified shows that libraries do not use this form as often one. The analysis is carried out taking into account the necessary components. They are the disclosure of document collections, the content of exhibitions, the quality of content, the convenience of the interface, navigation, meeting the information needs of various categories of users and allowed us to identify a number of central regional libraries using the form of a virtual museum to systematize and disseminate documented information of historical and cultural heritage. Due to the varying understanding of the definition of “virtual museum”, libraries organize online exhibitions in different ways, using different technological models and approaches to the formation of the site structure. Therefore, in some cases, the form of a virtual museum is indistinctly felt, the boundaries between a virtual library museum and thematic sites, electronic collections, and Internet encyclopedias become blurred. The general trends in the development of virtual museums, the relevance and potential of their development are shown, successful practices and their features are noted, an attempt is made to typologize the identified museums, key problems and challenges are identified. Many Russian libraries have the prospect of creating virtual museums, as they actually carry out museum and exhibition activities. This is possible under the condition of the development of project activities, a creative and competent approach to the development of the exposition plan, the right choice of technological solutions, and the organization of social partnership. Through virtual museums, it is possible to solve the tasks of disclosing funds and ensuring citizens’ access to cultural values regardless of their place of residence, maintain inclusivity and adapt different audiences to receive socially significant information.

In the context of the development of the knowledge society, obtaining reliable, high-quality information is becoming an important task. The library can fully implement this need. The practice of popularizing scientific knowledge, inherited by modern libraries from the Soviet model of librarianship, continues to be a key area of their activities. Exhibitions, lectures, seminars and other events are organized to attract readers’ attention to scientific content. The purpose of the article is to summarize the activities aimed at popularizing scientific and popular science knowledge in the national libraries of the CIS. The official library websites have served as a source. The conducted analysis have allowed the conclution that the activities to disseminate scientific knowledge are carried out at a high level in the national libraries of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Events are held with the involvement of scientists and specialists, but rarely and irregularly. The activities of libraries in this direction should be continued, which is due, firstly, to the rapid growth of the volume of information and the need to verify it. Secondly, library collections are an effective tool against the dissemination of false information, as they are equipped with publications that have undergone scientific peer review, which eliminates the dissemination of fake information. In addition, the library is accessible to all segments of society and remains a free cultural institution.

Screening for multiple types of cancer with a single blood test is potentially transformative. To assess the benefits, accuracy, and harms of screening with blood-based multicancer detection (MCD) tests in asymptomatic adults. MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, trial registries, and relevant websites through March 2025. Controlled studies of MCD tests (for example, cell-free DNA) in asymptomatic populations reporting cancer detection, mortality, quality of life, and harms (psychosocial, adverse events, decrease in standard-of-care screening); uncontrolled studies for harms of diagnostic evaluation; test accuracy studies. One reviewer extracted data; a second checked for accuracy; 2 reviewers independently assessed risk of bias (ROB) and strength of evidence. No controlled studies evaluated benefits of screening. Twenty studies (n = 109 177) reported accuracy for 19 MCD tests. Seven studies (5 with high ROB, 2 of unclear ROB) reported the accuracy of future cancer detection in asymptomatic persons followed for 1 year (prediagnostic performance); the rest estimated accuracy from high ROB case-control studies in clinically confirmed cancer cases and healthy, cancer-free, control participants (diagnostic performance). Across tests, sensitivity ranged from 0.095 to 0.998, specificity ranged from 0.657 to 1.0, and area under the curve (AUC) ranged from 0.52 to 1.0. Sensitivity and AUC were higher in diagnostic performance compared with prediagnostic performance studies. No other patterns in accuracy were discernible. One cohort study reported harms; however, these data were limited. English-language studies only. Heterogeneity precluded quantitative synthesis of accuracy; estimates from the diagnostic performance studies may not be applicable to screening. No controlled studies are completed that report benefits of screening with MCD tests; evidence was judged insufficient to evaluate harms and accuracy. Accuracy varies by test and study design. BackgroundPatients with medical information have become active participants in their treatment process; however, this has created additional challenges for physicians and other healthcare providers. However, how providers cope with patients’ requests for such information is not well understood, and the information-seeking behavior of physicians in catering to patients’ information needs has not been thoroughly studied. The primary objectives of this cross-sectional study were to understand healthcare providers’ information-seeking behavior when responding to patients’ specific questions about the benefits and risks of treatments.MethodologyThis Institutional Review Board-approved study was conducted at an independent academic center in Allentown, PA, between 2017 and 2020. We collected pertinent data from structured one-on-one interviews using an interview guide. The interviews were recorded using an electronic audio recorder that saved the recordings as an audio file. Interview transcripts were analyzed using hand coding. We investigated the relationship between categorical participant attributes using the chi-square or Fisher’s exact test at a significance level of 0.05, with continuity correction. We used the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests to investigate the differences between the distribution of continuous variables across the participants’ categorical attributes.ResultsA total of 124 providers from eight departments participated. The majority, 62% (77/124) of the providers, reported that patients brought information about treatment, and 56% (69/124) about a diagnosis. We did not notice a significant variation in the number of patients who brought in information related to their diagnosis (p = 0.08), prognosis (p = 0.35), and other topics, such as birth control, food allergies, and vaccines (p = 0.13), across medical specialties. Overall, 72% (89/124) of the providers reported using DynaMed, UpToDate, and Lexicomp, and 54% (67/124) used PubMed. Further, 27% (33/124) referenced the clinical practice guidelines, 17% (21/124) of the providers referred to textbooks, and 15% (19/124) discussed the topic with colleagues. Moreover, 35% (44/124) of the providers reported conducting traditional critical appraisals to determine the credibility of the information. We did not observe a significant variation in the number of providers using the library website to access journals and the PubMed database (p = 0.29) or in the number of providers seeking information from their colleagues (p = 0.58) across medical specialties. Providers who have recently finished their training (median experience = 6 years; range = 3-15) reported being not satisfied with their process of seeking information compared with providers with a greater level of experience (median = 15 years; range = 3-45) reporting being satisfied and (median = 14.5 years; range = 4-34) reporting being somewhat satisfied (p = 0.04).ConclusionsWe found that most physicians across all medical specialties utilized and preferred point-of-care tools, such as DynaMed and UpToDate. However, many providers still rely on the reputation of the information source, such as a journal’s impact factor and the author’s research credentials, to determine the credibility and reliability of the information.

The purpose of this research is to design a web-based library information system to make it easier for librarians to manage data and for library users to find book collections. Previously, the library still used separate Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for all administration. This non- integrated system leads to inefficient services, such as slow information retrieval, the risk of data errors, and difficulty for library users in finding book availability. To solve this problem, the author used the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method to build a web-based application with PHP and MySQL. The result is an integrated library website that makes administrative management more efficient and accurate.
