ANALISIS POLA KALIMAT PADA DONGENG MUNI PENIUP TEROMPET KARYA ENDANG FIRDAUS

A sentence is the smallest unit of language, in oral or written form, and capable of expressing a complete thought. Fairy tales are fictional stories that not only contain moral values, but are also made to entertain. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the sentence patterns in the fairy tale “Muni Peniup Terompet” by Endang Firdaus using descriptive qualitative research methods. In this research, secondary data was used and data collection was carried out using observation and analysis methods, then carrying out reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this research contain sentence patterns in the fairy tale texts being analyzed. The sentence patterns found are: 1) S and P; 2) S-P and O; 3) S-P-O and K; 4) K-S-P and O; and 5) K-S-P and K. Keywords: Sentence, Sentence Patterns, Fairy Tale

Cortical encoding of hierarchical linguistic information when syllabic rhythms are obscured by echoes

In speech perception, low-frequency cortical activity tracks hierarchical linguistic units (e.g., syllables, phrases, and sentences) on top of acoustic features (e.g., speech envelope). Since the fluctuation of speech envelope typically corresponds to the syllabic boundaries, one common interpretation is that the acoustic envelope underlies the extraction of discrete syllables from continuous speech for subsequent linguistic processing. However, it remains unclear whether and how cortical activity encodes linguistic information when the speech envelope does not provide acoustic correlates of syllables. To address the issue, we introduced a frequency-tagging speech stream where the syllabic rhythm was obscured by echoic envelopes and investigated neural encoding of hierarchical linguistic information using electroencephalography (EEG). When listeners attended to the echoic speech, cortical activity showed reliable tracking of syllable, phrase, and sentence levels, among which the higher-level linguistic units elicited more robust neural responses. When attention was diverted from the echoic speech, reliable neural tracking of the syllable level was also observed in contrast to deteriorated neural tracking of the phrase and sentence levels. Further analyses revealed that the envelope aligned with the syllabic rhythm could be recovered from the echoic speech through a neural adaptation model, and the reconstructed envelope yielded higher predictive power for the neural tracking responses than either the original echoic envelope or anechoic envelope. Taken together, these results suggest that neural adaptation and attentional modulation jointly contribute to neural encoding of linguistic information in distorted speech where the syllabic rhythm is obscured by echoes.

FORMATION OF CONCEPTUAL AND TERMINOLOGICAL APPARATUS AS A COMPONENT OF PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED FUTURE PHARMACIST TRAINING

The article analyzes the process of forming the conceptual and terminological apparatus as a component of professionally oriented training of future pharmacists; based on generalization of theoretical foundations, the features, strategies, and methods, the formation of the conceptual and terminological apparatus that contribute to the efficient training of future pharmacists in the process of studying the discipline «Analytical Chemistry» are revealed. The following criteria for the selection of chemical terms and concepts are proposed: thematic affiliation (exclusion of terms from related fields), focus on the vocabulary, systematicity, completeness of terminology coverage, as well as synchronicity (time factor), usage (frequency), semantic value of the term, term-forming capacity, normativity, and connectivity. The article considers the holistic organization of work on the qualitative mastering of the terminological vocabulary of analytical chemistry, and the development of professionally oriented communicative competence of future specialists majoring in the specialty 226 «Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy». It involves the use of proven methods and techniques for the rational selection, semantization and presentation of terminological language units. The exercises are divided into types, and their sequence in working with terms is established: introduction of terminological vocabulary (preparatory exercises) – language exercises – communicative and linguistic exercises, which involve the simultaneous selection and functioning of pre-text, while-text, and post-text exercises in such work. Post-textual tasks and forms of application of exercises have been developed. They are the following: work in pairs, organizing a cluster based on reference material, sentence construction, terminological dictation, and crossword puzzles. microtext construction, formulating definitions of terms, working with mental maps, using multimedia, trainings, video presentations, and the game «Guess the term!». It has been concluded that the usage of various communicative and speech exercises aimed at mastering terminological vocabulary in the process of teaching analytical chemistry contributes to professional communication skills improvement in the discipline and, by forming terminological experience, increases the level of professional language competence of future pharmacy specialists.

Automatically learning linguistic structures for entity relation extraction

A sentence is composed of linguistically linked units, such as words or phrases. The dependencies between them compose the linguistic structures of a sentence, which indicates the meanings of linguistic units and encodes the syntactic or semantic relationships between them. Therefore, it is important to learn the linguistic structures of a sentence for entity relation extraction or other natural language processing (NLP) tasks. In related works, manual rules or dependency trees are usually adopted to capture the linguistic structures. These methods heavily depend on prior knowledge or external toolkits. In this paper, we introduce a Supervised Graph Autoencoder Network (SGAN) model to automatically learn the linguistic structures of a sentence. Unlike traditional graph neural networks that use a fixed adjacency matrix initialized with prior knowledge, the SGAN model contains a learnable adjacency matrix that is dynamically tuned by a task-relevant learning objective. It can automatically learn linguistic structures from raw input sentences. After being evaluated on seven public datasets, the SGAN achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance, outperforming all compared models. The results show that automatically learned linguistic structures have better performance than manually designed linguistic patterns. It exhibits great potential for supporting entity relation extraction and other NLP tasks.

Multiple dimensions of syntactic structure are resolved earliest in posterior temporal cortex

How we combine minimal linguistic units into larger structures remains an unresolved topic in neuroscience. Language processing involves the abstract construction of ‘vertical’ and ‘horizontal’ information simultaneously (e.g., phrase structure, morphological agreement), but previous paradigms have been constrained in isolating only one type of composition and have utilized poor spatiotemporal resolution. Using intracranial recordings, we report multiple experiments designed to separate phrase structure from morphosyntactic agreement. Epilepsy patients (n = 10) were presented with auditory two-word phrases grouped into pseudoword-verb (‘trab run’) and pronoun-verb either with or without Person agreement (‘they run’ vs. ‘they runs’). Phrase composition and Person violations both resulted in significant increases in broadband high gamma activity approximately 300 ms after verb onset in posterior middle temporal gyrus (pMTG) and posterior superior temporal sulcus (pSTS), followed by inferior frontal cortex (IFC) at 500 ms. While sites sensitive to only morphosyntactic violations were distributed, those sensitive to both composition types were generally confined to pSTS/pMTG and IFC. These results indicate that posterior temporal cortex shows the earliest sensitivity for hierarchical linguistic structure across multiple dimensions, providing neural resources for distinct windows of composition. This region is comprised of sparsely interwoven heterogeneous constituents that afford cortical search spaces for dissociable syntactic relations.

Decode, Move and Speak! Self-supervised Learning of Speech Units, Gestures, and Sound Relationships Using Vocal Imitation

Abstract Speech learning encompasses mastering a complex motor system to produce speech sounds from articulatory gestures while simultaneously uncovering discrete units that provide entry to the linguistic system. Remarkably, children acquire these associations between speech sounds, articulatory gestures, and linguistic units in a weakly supervised manner, without the need for explicit labeling of auditory inputs or access to target articulatory gestures. This study uses self-supervised deep learning to investigate the respective roles of sounds, gestures, and linguistic units in speech acquisition and control. In a first experiment, we analyzed the quantized representations learned by vector-quantized variational autoencoders (VQ-VAE) from ground truth acoustic and articulatory data using ABX tests. We show an interesting complementarity between acoustic and articulatory modalities that may help in the discovery of phonemes. In a second experiment, we introduce a computational agent that repeats auditory speech inputs by controlling a virtual vocal apparatus. This agent integrates an articulatory synthesizer capable of reproducing diverse speech stimuli from interpretable parameters, along with two internal models implementing the articulatory-to-acoustic (forward) and acoustic-to-articulatory (inverse) mapping, respectively. Additionally, two inductive biases are used to regularize the ill-posed acoustic-to-articulatory inverse mapping. In line with the first experiment, we explore the complementarity between the auditory input and the articulatory parameters inferred by the agent. We also evaluate the impact of discretizing auditory inputs using VQ-VAE. While the majority of the agent’s productions are intelligible (according to perceptual evaluations), our analysis highlights inconsistencies in the underlying articulatory trajectories. In particular, we show that the agent’s productions only partially reproduce the complementarity between the auditory and articulatory modalities observed in humans.

Phrasebook in Text Typology: a Type of Textbook or an Independent Type of Text?

Introduction. A phrasebook as a type of text is aimed at providing the basics of communication in situations when the knowledge of a foreign language is absent. It can not be classified as a type of a dictionary, textbook or manual for the development of speaking skills. The article examines the problem of determining the status of a phrasebook in the typology of text types. The study is aimed at a diachronic analysis of the texts and structure of phrasebooks to identify features that unite a phrasebook with a textbook, as well as to determine the properties inherent only to a phrasebook, allowing it to be distinguished as an independent type of text. The lack of works that consider the problem of determining the status of a phrasebook determines the relevance of the study.Methodology and sources. The research material – the texts of German-Russian and Russian-German phrasebooks of the XVIII–XXI centuries, covering the time period from 1795 to 2011, which were created both for teaching the German or Russian language, and for practical use during travel. The general (educational and tourist) phrasebooks were chosen because of the fact that they reflect different aspects of interaction between representatives of language communities in predetermined situations.Results and discussion. The comparison has shown that a phrasebook is an independent type of text, at different stages of its historical development having more or less similar features with a textbook, dictionary and a manual for the development of oral speech skills, but differing significantly from them. In the course of its historical development, the cohesive connections between the linguistic units of the phrasebook weaken: from a book containing coherent and logical dialogues on various topics (XVIII–XIX centuries), the phrasebook turns into a manual with a set of thematically organized template phrases and lists of words (late XX–XXI centuries).Conclusion. The phrasebook, thus, is a type of text that is closely related to the era of creation, which is reflected not only in the theme and structure, but also in the strength of the cohesive connections of the linguistic units that make up the phrasebook.

Axiological paradigm in the Russian picture of the world (based on F. M. Dostoevsky’s novel "The Brothers Karamazov")

The article defines the concept of "axiological paradigm" in its broad and narrow senses. Additionally, it considers axiological paradigm types, describes units with value-expressed content belonging to different levels. The characterisation of the anthropocentric paradigm of the conceptual field of the axiological paradigm is formed on the basis of the identified genetic semes and sense-making principles. They reflect the types of human relationships with reality and unreality and determine the boundaries of the core and peripheral zones of the field. Axiological meanings are conveyed primarily by verbs, nouns, and adjectives since these categories are the main expressors of the internal properties and semantic features of a particular conceptual field. Qualitative-quantitative differences in meanings are reflected both in the axiological paradigm and in the literary text: the creation of the lexical semantic field "Value", the use of linguistic units characterising material, intellectual, and spiritual values. The concepts "Faith", "Family", "Honour" dominate the linguo-cognitive axiological paradigm. They reveal the relationship between language, thinking, and communication. In the Russian picture of the world, the dominating moral and spiritual values not only convey the attitude towards God, but also become a qualitative characteristic of man. The analysis of the axiological paradigm in the Russian world picture is performed using the text of F. M. Dostoevsky’s novel "The Brothers Karamazov". The narrator devotes his careful attention to the establishment of moral values, the religious and philosophical beliefs of the characters in the novel, as well as their relationships and conflicts which are based on these values.

Homonymy of words belonging to different parts of speech: the activity-based approach to studying the topic at school

The article examines the homonymy of words of different parts of speech in the context of teaching orthography to schoolchildren. This phenomenon requires special attention because, firstly, it underlies the understanding of morphology as a branch of linguistics. Secondly, homonymy is one of the causes of spelling errors which are difficult to avoid. Thirdly, understanding the nature of this phenomenon facilitates the perception of language as a system. The paper discusses the activity-based approach to learning the Russian language. Within its framework, no ready-made rules are imposed on schoolchildren. Instead, they are given problems. Solving them contributes to the development of students’ critical thinking, as well as a deeper understanding and appropriation of independently discovered knowledge. On the one hand, the study is based on the examination of linguistic units, on the other – on the analysis of students’ activity when solving orthographic problems. Based on the experience of using the Elkonin-Davydov developmental education system, we propose a tentative structure of a lesson included in the system of lessons on the topic Homonymy of words of different parts of speech. The article also describes individual assignments which are of a research nature and contribute to the development of a few competencies that transform a schoolchild from a recipient of information into a student-researcher. The element common to these lessons is an increasingly complex algorithm for distinguishing homonyms which belong to different parts of speech and are characterised by differences in spelling. The key con[1]clusions of the study reflected in the article include a description of the activity-based approach principles in relation to the study of grammatical homonymy. Motivation built on a "success situation" and a "gap situation", the use of quasi-research techniques, reliance on an algorithm for solving problems, and step-by-step practicing of each algorithm opera[1]tion are among these principles.

Языковая личность синхронного переводчика: тезаурусный (лингвокогнитивный) уровень

The paper aims to identify the representatives of the thesaurus (linguocognitive) level of the professional linguistic personality of a simultaneous interpreter through verbal means. The author conducts the research within the framework of the linguo-functional approach. To achieve the stated aim, the researcher examines the phenomenon of the linguistic personality as such, distinguishes between the related concepts of “linguistic personality” and “linguistic identity”, and offers a theoretical justification for the formation of a working definition of the thesaurus (linguocognitive) level and the language units included in it. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the thesaurus (linguocognitive) level of the linguistic personality of a simultaneous interpreter is considered from the perspective of the linguo-functional approach. The author proposes a methodology for exploring the thesaurus (linguocognitive) level to determine and analyze representatives reflecting the individual’s linguistic model of the world. Examples of analyzing representatives at different levels (the level of verbal representation, the level of conceptual sphere representation, the level of extralinguistic representation) demonstrate the breadth of the thesaurus level of a simultaneous interpreter in a communication situation of translation, taking into account the manifestation of available background and special knowledge in translation.

Phraseological Units with Color Components in the French Language: A Semantic and Cultural Analysis

This article explores the linguistic, semantic, and cultural significance of color-based phraseological units (PUs) in the French language. Colors in French PUs serve as powerful linguistic tools, symbolizing emotions, societal norms, and historical narratives. Through a detailed analysis of common colors such as blue, red, black, and green, this study reveals how these elements function syntactically and convey complex cultural meanings. The challenges of translating French color PUs into other languages are examined, highlighting the difficulties in preserving symbolic meaning and cultural context. This article aims to deepen the understanding of color symbolism in French phraseology and its role in shaping linguistic expression.

Metaphor in grammatical works of linguists

The object of the research is metaphorical nominations in scientific linguistic discourse. The purpose of the study is to systematically describe the structural and semantic features of metaphors in grammatical works. The identification of expressive linguistic units in scientific texts is important for a comprehensive study of the relationship between rational and emotional in strict speech styles. The appeal to this topic is dictated by the need to find ways to present complex theoretical material in university syntax teaching. The article considers metaphors-words, metaphors-phrases and metaphors-predicative units characterizing transitional phenomena in the grammar of the Russian language. Metaphorical designations in the description of the desemanticized verbal components of analytical constructions and verbal connectives are highlighted. Metaphors characterizing other grammatical phenomena are analyzed. The role of verbal metaphors in the description of constitutive features of sentences of different types is established. The features of substantive and adjectival metaphors in grammatical works are noted. It is shown that the expanded metaphors demonstrate the multidimensional nature of syntactic categories. It is concluded that verbal and substantive metaphors convey the desire of linguists to present the grammatical system as dynamic, actively developing. The use of metaphorical names makes it possible to present grammatical theory in a more accessible way, to draw attention to interesting linguistic facts.

On the 100<sup>th</sup> birthday anniversary of Galina Aleksandrovna Zolotova

The authors of the paper remember their teacher, professor Galina Aleksandrovna Zolotova (1924–2020) with love and gratitude and value her linguistic heritage. The article analyzes her contribution to modern Russian studies. Semantics as a part of syntax was the main principle of G. A. Zolotova’s linguistic method who was the author of the concept of functional-communicative grammar. Because of the syntheticism in her thinking, she was able to explore syntactic units and objects of different levels of complexity and volume (syntactic words, word combinations, sentence models, texts), as well as combine syntax and morphology, grammar and text in her linguistic studies. The authors of the paper pay special attention to the ideas of Zolotova, which anticipated their time, and are close to the those, developed much later by linguists of various linguistic directions and movements: the trinity of form-meaning-function of linguistic units, the indirect case of the subject of a sentence, the non-verbalized subject of perception (the figure of the observer), non-verbal predicative constructions, the irreducibility of the meaning of a syntactic whole (construction) to the sum of its parts. The authors of the paper specially trace continuity between the linguistic interests of Academician V. V. Vinogradov and G. A. Zolotova, who remained his devoted student throughout her linguistic activity. As a follower of Vinogradov, she studied the functions of aspect-temporal forms of verb in texts, and introduced the concept of subject perspective of an utterance and a text.

A Study of the Lao Language Phonetic System of Villagers at Vangpa Village, Kaenthao District, Xayyabuly Province

The purpose of this research was to study the consonant and vowel sound system of Villagers at Vangpa Village, Kaenthao District, Xayyabuly Province. The sample consisted of 15 villagers who are living inVangpa Village. The researcher analyzed data using theory of OnKeo NUANNAVONG. The findings of this research were as follows: Consonant sound of villagers at Vangpa Village consisted of 19 sound units such as: ກ /k/, ຂ-ຄ /kh/, ຫງ-ງ /ŋ/, ຈ /c/, ສ-ຊ /s/, ຫຍ-ຍ /ɲ/, ດ /d/, ຕ /t/, ຖ-ທ /th/, ໜ-ນ /n/, ບ /b/, ປ /p/, ຝ-ຟ /f/, ໝ-ມ /m/, ຢ /j/, ຫຼ-ລ /l/, ຫວ-ວ /w/, ອ /ʔ/, ຫ-ຮ /h/ of which 19 sound units are the first letter of the syllable and 8 units are the last letter of the syllable. There are 2 sound units out of official consonant sound such as ຜ-ພ /ph/ because of villagers at Vangpa Village produce sound ຖ-ທ /th/. And villagers are not produce complex consonant sound of “ວ”. Vowel sound of villagers at Vangpa Village consisted of 22 sound units. Common vowels are 18 sound unit such as xະ /a/, xາ /a:/, xິ /i/, xີ /i:/, xຶ /ɯ/, xື /ɯ:/, xຸ /u/, xູ /u:/, ເxະ /е/, ເx /е:/, ແxະ /ɛ/, ແx /ɛ:/, ໂxະ /o/, ໂx /o:/, ເxາະ /ɔ/, xໍ /ɔ:/, ເອິ /ə/, ເອີ /ə:/. Diphthong sound of Villagers at vangpa village consisted of 4 sound units as ເອັຍ /ia/, ເອຍ /i: a/, ອົວະ /ua/, ອົວ /u: a/. There are not 2 sound units of official language as ເxຶອ /ɯa/, ເxືອ /:a/ because of Vangpa’s villagers produce sound of ເxັຍ /ia/, ເxຍ /i:a/. There are 3 special vowels of Vangpa’s villagers which are ໄx /aj/, ເxົາ/aw/, xຳ /am/. Vangppa’s villagers are not able to produce the sound ໃx. Instead, they produce sound ໄx.

This article undertakes a comparative analysis of address forms in the Russian and Japanese languages. As address constitutes a linguistic universality, numerous commonalities in speech functioning, syntactic peculiarities, as well as phonetic, morphological, and semantic developments of linguistic units used in vocative positions were discovered in Russian and Japanese. However, some significant differences were identified. For instance, address forms in Japanese, to a greater extent than in Russian, are associated with expressing social hierarchy relations. Consequently, Japanese speakers tend to avoid using address forms when communicating with unfamiliar people (whose social status is unclear). In familial interactions, juniors are addressed by their names, while elders are referred to using kinship terms. In business sphere, superiors are addressed by their titles, while inferiors are addressed by their surnames with added necessary politeness suffixes. In the Russian language, a wide range of figurative and metonymic means are employed as address forms, and their list is not limited. There even exist specific grammatical constructions characteristic of the vocative position. In the Japanese language, the freedom in employing vocative means, akin to Russian, is only present in poetic style. In colloquial Japanese, the utilization of figurative and metonymic means is restricted.

Linguocultural aspect of phraseological units (Guanyongyu) in modern Chinese language

Abstract The relevance of this study is primarily due to the constant influence of extra-linguistic factors (cultural, historical, and technological) on intralinguistic ones (plan of expression, semantics) in the modern Chinese phraseological picture of the world. The purpose of this study was to identify the main linguocultural features of Guanyongyu through the study of lexico-semantic and stylistic relations. The methods used in this study included analytical-synthetic, lexico-semantic, pragmatic, linguocultural, and statistical analyses. The key features of the group of Chinese phraseological units called Guanyongyu were indicated in the study: preservation of the connection between semantic components and the integral meaning of the phraseological unit, active structural transformations, use in everyday speech, 3 (rarely 4) syllable structure, high metaphoricity, and imagery. The study identified the following groups of “habitual expressions”: with somatic components, with metaphorical components, specifically with a zoonimic or botanical basis, as well as with key mythological or literary nominations. The study also considered different groups of phraseological units by stylistic colouring: negative, neutral, and positive. The analysis of phraseological units that emerged after the COVID-19 crisis showed that they usually had negative (more rarely positive) connotations and demonstrated the dominance of collective values over individual values. The following were identified as the main linguocultural features: negative connotations, satirical ridicule, use of somatic and zoonimic components, metaphorical transfers, dominance of the collective over the individual, connection with Chinese mythology, and literary images. In a further scientific perspective, this study can be used for comparative analysis of phraseological pictures of the world of different countries and nationalities and consideration of the basis of conceptualization through the analysis of cognitive aspects embedded in phraseological units.

SOCIAL FACTORS SPECIFYING THE SPEECH OF COURT SESSION PARTICIPANTS

The expression of language units in a court session serves as a prime example of the manifestation of social standing and its corresponding speech patterns. Unlike any other speech situation, the court’s reliance on its just principles, strict rules and regulations in conducting discussions, and its commitment to fair justice based on citizens’ equality before the law and the court, underscore its official status as an arm of state power. The article will highlight the social factors that influence the speech of the main participants in a court session: the presiding judge, the state prosecutor and the defense attorney. It will analyze how these factors contribute to the unique language they use in their speeches.

Learning L2 formulaic sequences from meaning-focused activities

Abstract Formulaic language is becoming an increasingly popular topic of investigation in second language acquisition research. As linguistic units that provide language users with many benefits in communication and language processing, formulaic sequences have now taken up a central role in theoretical approaches to SLA theory and L2 pedagogy. This paper provides a review of studies investigating how formulaic sequences are acquired from meaning-focused L2 activities. The article starts by defining formulaic language and discussing the advantages of formulaic sequences for SLA. It then addresses key issues in L2 processing and use of formulaic sequences, before reviewing research into L2 acquisition of formulaic sequences through meaning-focused activities. Finally, the paper identifies some future directions for research on meaning-focused L2 learning of formulaic language.

Russian grammar as a constructicon: beyond a list

While linguistics traditionally keeps lexicon separate from grammar, Construction Grammar takes the grammatical construction as the basic unit of language. A grammatical construction integrates the roles of lexemes with their typical grammatical contexts, suggesting the advantages of a comprehensive approach. Furthermore, according to Construction Grammar, grammatical constructions comprise a system in which constructions mutually reinforce each other. We reveal the complex connections among Russian grammatical constructions that emerge from the Russian Constructicon, a resource with over 2200 annotated constructions. We achieve this by focusing on a single semantic subclass of 110 constructions labeled Sets and elements. Our analysis follows the connections among constructions through two domains: semantics and syntax. We find that all constructions fit into groupings at various levels of semantic schematicity, as well as presenting various syntactic dimensions. A given construction has affinities both to constructions with similar meanings and with similar form, and any given construction may have multiple affinities in either or both of these domains. Through our focus on multiword grammatical constructions, we reach beyond traditional approaches that separate words from grammar, instead viewing words in their grammatical context and grammar in its lexical context.

Phraseology is a unique linguistic phenomenon and a communicative component of the language system, which functions actively and changes under the influence of extralingual and intralingual factors. Observations of modern media discourse convincingly show that the language of mass media reacts quite sensitively to the events and realities now, accumulating everything in the lexical and phraseological system of the language. In the article, mediaphraseology is considered as a complex of figuratively-expressive fixed expressions in the media language, which perform a text-creating role, give a special expressiveness, bright stylistic coloring to journalistic works. There are tendency to the use of such linguistic units in the original composition and in the transformed. The purpose of the article is to analyze the functioning peculiarities and expressiveness of phraseological units in modern regional press (on the material of the newspaper “Vinnychchyna”). The main research method is the descriptive method, which involves observation, classification, generalization and interpretation of phraseological means in journalistic works. At various stages of the research, the method of functional analysis was used to determine the expressive role of the phrase. General scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, systematization, as well as the special scientific methods of linguistic text analysis were also applied. Results. The phraseologisms, proverbs, sayings, aphorisms are obligatory linguistic-stylistic components of journalistic publications, a kind of source of expressive and emotional coloring of content, creating a special imagery and expressiveness in media texts. Analyzing the regional media discourse, we observe a variety of phraseological means. They express the stylistics and aesthetics of journalistic speech, aptly create an emotional flavor for a special perception of the text and a more effective impact on the reader's consciousness. The expressiveness of the phraseology relates to the concepts of imagery, evaluation, emotionality, connotation and intertextuality. Originality. Phraseological resources, like modern vocabulary, are dynamically updated, in particular in the media. It`s evidenced by linguistic and lexicographic works. Mediaphraseology was considered in structural-semantic, functional-stylistic and communicative-pragmatic aspects, mainly on materials of various all-Ukrainian publications. However, the regional segment of this media-linguistic field remains relevant and promising mainly for local researchers. Conclusion. In the Vinnytsia press (on the material of the weekly “Vinnychchyna”) we find various phraseological representations of figurative reinterpretation of the facts of reality, which strengthens the expressive potential of the presentation, condenses semantics and enlivens attention. Expressiveness acquires a kind of pragmatics in the phraseologized headlines of the Vinnytsia newspaper, which are less informative, but attract attention, intrigue with their veiled expression, give an impetus to decoding the title of the publication after reading it. Transformed phrasemes update the imagery of established expressions, actualize the emotional and expressive meaning, enrich the newly created context with certain connotations.
