Potential For Night Culinary Tourism On Jalan Pekalipan Cirebon

Research has been carried out on the culinary potential of mala m on Jalan Pekalipan Cirebon. The method used is a descriptive method by conducting surveys, interviews and secondary data analysis from various sources that can be accounted for. The results of the research indicate that Pekalipan culinary tourism located on Pekalipan street is the first culinary tourism carried out by the Cirebon City Government. Pekalipan Culinary Tourism was inaugurated as one of the culinary destinations through the Pekalipan Festival activities, which was inaugurated on Saturday, September 22, 2022, Pekalipan Culinary Tourism: The first culinary tour in the city of Cirebon initiated by the Cirebon City Government. Pekalipan culinary tourism has 15 traders, each with culinary specialties served to visitors, both Cirebon specialties and contemporary foods. Panjang Jimat: Cultural Tourism at Cirebon Palace

This paper discusses how Panjang Jimat comes from the words "Panjang" and "Jimat". The word Panjang means the lifetime of man, while Jimat or "ji" or siji means one, and "mat" or crushed means something to be remembered, guarded, and preserved. So, Panjang Jimat means something or one that a lifetime of man must remember, guard, and defend. This research uses a qualitative method approach to describe the natural condition of objects, where the researcher is the key instrument. The reason researchers choose descriptive research is to be able to describe systematically and accurately facts and characteristics about the population or a particular field. The researcher here intends to provide an overview of a particular social phenomenon that already exists. Panjang Jimat as a custom of the Cirebon palace began in the 15th century to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW especially. At this time, Panjang Jimat ceremony was organized by the existence of the Kasepuhan Palace Foundation as a formal legal entity organization, further strengthening the identity of the Kasepuhan Palace today. Social Cohesion Constrution in the Space of the Astana Gunungjati

Astana Gunungjati is a complex of cemeteries for Cirebon Sultanate kings and their descendants. The Kasepuhan Palace, Kanoman Palace, and Kacirebonan Palace are the three palaces or known as keraton that still serves as the current physical representation of the Cirebon Sultanate. Sunan Gunungjati, one of the kings, is also a Muslim evangelist or the Wali Songo, who is interred at Astana Gunungjati. One of the pilgrimage tourism attractions in Cirebon Regency is the tomb complex. Although the heritage values of the buildings and traditions are still well preserved, the social cohesion that is formed from the existence of the cemetery which has been established since the 14th century is not well documented. A component of the area’s intangible assets that must be documented for area conservation is social cohesion. The purpose of the research is to describe how the Astana Gunungjati space was built and how it contributed to social cohesiveness. The Assabiyah Concept from Ibn Khaldun is the approach method that is applied, along with the hermeneutic approach. The findings show the quality of the community such as (1) obedience to unwritten rules; (2) pride and sincerity to be a kuncen; (3) recognition of the existence of Sunan Gunungjati as King and Guardian who brings the truth of Islam. The study findings in the form of the construction of social cohesion became the material for the documentation of intangible heritage in this area.

The aim of this research is to obtain a relationship between the aesthetic visual communication media and the functional relationship between phenomena that is more accurate and definite from the traditional batik motif of Taman Telaga Teratai in the Cirebon Palace. The fact is that the Cirebon Keraton batik and its decorative styles have distinctive differences in the three palaces and one unique Peguron. The diversity of these ornamental styles is characteristic and unique within the Kasepuhan Palace, Kanoman Palace, Kacirebonan Palace, and Peguron Kaprabonan. The method used is a qualitative approach, combined with an analytical descriptive method in the form of observations and interviews with cultural stakeholders of the Cirebon palace. This research resulted in the finding that Cirebon batik artisans have the courage and flexibility in realizing self-expression and the consistency of producing traditional batik by giving symbolic meaning, as well as adding to the depth of philosophical meaning in the Cirebon royal batik genre. The conclusion of this study is that attractive and patterned aesthetic visual communication in the Cirebon traditional batik artisan community can contribute to the emergence of new traditional batik motifs with the Cirebon palace batik genre which contain symbolic and philosophical values ​​of the Cirebon Palace cultural tradition.

This study aims to determine the spiritual values of culture that are reflected in the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon, the method used is ethnography with a qualitative approach, while the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Place of research at the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon. The informants in this study were the takmir of the mosque who was one of the elders of the mosque to obtain information about cultural history and various religious activities at the mosque, then several mosque congregations to obtain data on religious values, and guides senior tour at the Cirebon Kasepuhan Palace to strengthen data and information related to the history, culture and religious values depicted from the mosque. Pelatihan Penggunaan Pelabelan Lanskap Linguistik Pariwisata bagi Pemandu Wisata Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon

Labeling activities at the Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon were carried out using the theory of linguistic tourism landscapes. There are six labels documented using a digital camera. This training is necessary because the Cirebon Kasepuhan Palace is a tourist attraction that is frequently visited by domestic and foreign tourists, so labeling in the palace environment must also accommodate the needs of all tourists through the language used on the label. Then, training activities were carried out for tour guides on the six labels. This training aims to introduce tourism linguistic landscape theory to tour guides. The method used in implementing this PKM program is the mentoring or PAR (Participatory Action Research) method. Then data collection was carried out with a site survey and documentation of materials for training and discussion. The training steps are preliminary, implementation, and evaluation steps. The results and conclusions of this dedication are that linguistics can be useful to be juxtaposed with other sciences and be useful for the knowledge of the wider community. This training can also help tour guides explain more clearly to tourists when explaining objects in the palace environment through brand information.

A Preliminary Study of 3D Vernacular Documentation for Conservation and Evaluation: A Case Study in Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon

Despite the wealth of cultural heritage objects in Indonesia, some of which are considered UNESCO World Heritage sites, more documentation still needs to be done. One of the reasons behind this problem is that the documentation of complex cultural heritage objects is more complicated than most modern objects, which are often more simplistic. This preliminary study aimed to document vernacular heritage buildings in 3D to be used as a conservation and building management tool. The built digital model can then be used as a building assessment tool. The data acquisition method used in this study was a combination of photogrammetry and laser scanner technology. The building model was stored as BIM (IFC model) and then georeferenced before being converted to IndoorGML. The building elements’ information contained in the building model was retrieved as input to analyze the building. This research included analyses for building assessment, natural room temperature, natural lighting, and indoor space and relation. All results from the analysis were used as input to calculate the reliability value of the building using the AHP method. The case study for the heritage building was the house of Prince Arya Denda at Kasepuhan Palace, Cirebon, Indonesia.

Recommendations of Tourism Destinations Using Genetic Algorithm: A Case Study of Cirebon City

A genetic Algorithm is a search algorithm inspired by natural selection. Genetic algorithms are used in solving optimization problems. Determination of the shortest route in the recommendation of tourism objects has problems in optimization. This study aims to obtain the shortest route from several tourist attractions in Cirebon City, West Java, Indonesia, using a Genetic Algorithm to get the best and optimal route. The search for the shortest route can be completed using a genetic algorithm. The first step is to present the location of the tourist attraction in a sequence code, then form the initial population and then continue in the selection, crossover, and mutation stages until the best route is formed. From the results obtained, the route has the best fitness value of 268 and the best route from 10 attractions, starting with Sunyaragi Cave Park - Kasepuhan Palace - Sang Cipta Rasa Great Mosque - Kanoman Palace - Kacirebonan Palace - Panjunan Red Mosque - At-Taqwa Mosque - Gunung Jati Tomb - Trusmi Batik – Gronggong Hill.

<p><em>The Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa is located in front of the Kasepuhan Palace Complex to the west of the square in front of the Kasepuhan Palace, Cirebon. The construction of this mosque was assisted by Sunan Bonang and Sunan Kalijaga. The purpose of this paper is to examine how the facade design of the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta on doors, windows, walls, and ornaments contains elements and components of Hindu, Javanese, Chinese and Islamic historical influences.</em></p>

History and Value of Nawa Gapura Marga Raja From the View of Cirebon Indonesia Community

Nawa Gapura Marga Raja, better known as “Lawang Sanga” among the people of the Cirebon Palace is defined as an ancient building with nine doors that is said to have been built by Prince Wangsakerta around the 17th century, 1677 AD to be exact, during the leadership of Sultan Sepuh Pangeran Syamsudin Martawidjaja. The building is a silent witness to the history of Cirebon's development until now. The uniqueness of this building is that there are nine gates in one building area, which correspond to the number of gates in the Sunan Gunung Jati burial complex. This historical study of Nawa Gapura Marga Raja based on the Cirebon community's point of view, aims to analyze and gain knowledge related to history and the cultural values ​​contained in it. Sources of data were collected in the form of buildings, ancient manuscript literature studies and interviews with philologists, Cirebon culturalists, Cirebon historians, observers of Cirebon culture, Kasepuhan Palace family, also Kasepuhan Palace tour guides and caretakers. The research method used is oral history. That is the method of recording people's conversations and then analyzing their memories of the past, which is then cross-checked with its theoretical aspects. The results of the study obtained an understanding of the history of the Nawa Gapura Marga Raja, related to the Karatuan which became the forerunner of the kingdom in Cirebon, namely Keratuan Singhapura, which is also the birthplace of Prince Cakrabuana, the ancestor of Prince Wangsakerta. Nawa Gapura Marga Raja contains noble values, the result of acculturation of religion and culture at that time, including the value of hybrid culture, togetherness, respect, as well as symbolic values ​​related to the traditional culture of the Cirebon people when communicating with God. Studying Traditional Transportation Tool Artifacts in Cirebon, Indonesia

Cirebon is one of popular Indonesia’s regions for its cultural richness. This is a port area that served as a route of International traffic trade at the time. Cirebon became an important trade and shipping hub. Cirebon’s location, which borders West Java and Central Java, grants it a very strategic role as a port and also bridges Javanese and Sundanese Cultures so that Cirebon’s distinctive culture is formed. Cirebon has a myriad of cultural items that have been preserved, such as historical structures, modes of transportation, musical instruments, and historical vital types of equipment that are all carefully conserved at many museums and sites. This research focuses on the discussion of Cirebon’s traditional transportation tool artifacts. Some of the artifacts discovered describe historical-cultural acculturation. This can be seen based on the ornaments depicted on the artifacts. The purpose of this research is to raise awareness among Indonesians about the cultural richness that exists in Cirebon, particularly among Cirebon residents, since many Cirebon residents are unaware of the existence of these historical artifacts. These artifacts are truly priceless cultural treasures. The historical archeology method which in its application is a combination of historical, archaeological, geographic, and ethnographic methods is used in this research. Data were obtained through field observations, literature reviews, and interviews with experts in this field. A Culturalist, T.D. Sudjana stated that the Pedati during the Indraprahasta kingdom was the oldest mode of transportation that had existed since the 2nd century, but there was no evidence of that legacy could be found. This research concluded that Pedati Gede Pekalangan is the oldest traditional transportation tool in Cirebon and the artifacts are still can be found today. This Pedati is older than the Paksi Naga Liman Carriage and the Jempana Carriage in Kanoman Palace, as well as the Singa Barong Carriage in Kasepuhan Palace. Charles Sander Pierce Semiotic Analysis of Symbolic Meaning on Kriya Art of Panji Mask Cirebon

The local community in Mandarangan Village in Cirebon is located in the Kasepuhan palace area, which is often known as a cultural heritage of its ancestors, and so that many master craftsmen including craftsmen of Panji mask are born. The art of Panji mask craft has some interesting symbols to study. The art of Indonesian Panji Cirebon masks in the village of Slangit has many varieties of meanings in the form of visualization, which brings various interpretations to mask art lovers. This study aims to determine the symbolic meaning contained in the Cirebon style Panji mask using the semiotic approach of Charles Sander Pierce. The research shows that (1) the Cirebon style banner mask which is composed of visual symbols, namely tanpa jamang, nanggal sepisan eyebrows, menjangan ranggah eyebrows, leyepan eyes, kedhelen eyes, walimiring nose, prengesan mouth, white color all of these symbols are stylized from the shape of objects natural. (2) The structure of the visual symbolism of the Cirebon style Panji Mask which contains character values consisting of the shape of the eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth and color. All symbolic structures are stylized forms of natural objects with character values of sacred, loyal, obedient, honest, innocent, simple, smooth, gentle, dashing, smart, wise, cheerful, and smiling or friendly.

Heritage Smart City Mapping, Planning and Land Administration (Hestya)

A smart city is a concept of urban development that requires different technologies to integrate all city elements into a sustainable city system. Land administration, including three-dimensional (3D) cadaster and planning, is a pre-condition for having a smart city. Land administration in the smart city will be more attractive when the city has a cultural heritage area that must be preserved for economic, social, and territory benefits. This paper describes the development of a multipurpose land administration system prototype of a city, especially in the cultural heritage area. The first activity of this development is to create a 3D city map for documentation and management of cities, especially for cultural heritage areas, and involve the role of the community in participatory mapping. The participatory mapping method is used to form a more detailed 3D building model using simple techniques for measuring the room distance on a building. Then, the 3D city model is stored in a spatial database and management system to visualize, analyze, and manage the data. This research uses the complex area of Kasepuhan Palace, Cirebon City, West Java, Indonesia, as a case study. That area is a cultural heritage area with complicated objects and unique information to document.

Chinese Culture in the Cirebon Sultanate: Symbolic and Philosophical Meanings

This paper aims to explore the symbolic and philosophical meaning of the elements of Chinese culture in the Kasepuhan Palace, Cirebon. In this palace, there are many Chinese cultural ornaments that adorn this historical site. One of them is the Siti Inggil building, where there are walls pasted with Chinese ceramics. The primary data of this paper were obtained from the field by means of observation, documentation, and direct interviews. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative and semiotic methods with archaeological, anthropological, and socio-historical approaches. This article confirms that the Chinese ornaments in the Cirebon Sultanate prove the process of cultural acculturation between Chinese culture and Cirebon culture. In Chinese tradition, the dragon is a symbol of the Chinese emperor. while the image of the Phoenix bird is a symbol of the female emperor, peace and prosperity, and the image of the fish is a symbol of darkness and luxury.

An Assessment of Cirebon’s Image As a Tourist Destination

Cirebon has a variety of popular tourist attractions such as the Kasepuhan Palace for cultural / historical tourism, the tomb of Sunan Gunung Djati for religious tourism, the Batik Trusmi tourist area for shopping tourism, and many restaurants that provide local food for culinary tourism. As such, Cirebon has a diverse image as a tourist destination. But efforts to measure the image of Cirebon as a tourist destination empirically have never been undertaken. This research was conducted to fill the lack of empirical studies on the image of Cirebon as a tourist destination. This study uses a qualitative approach to provide opportunities for respondents to freely express their opinions. Data collection was conducted via semi-structured interviews of 400 domestic tourists. Data were processed by listing the words and calculated the percentage of frequency of occurrence. The results show that Cirebon is perceived as a destination for historical tourism, culinary and batik shopping. The respondents were found to feel happy, comfortable and enthusiastic when traveling to Cirebon. The palace (keraton), Sunyaragi cave and Batik Trusmi tourist areas are perceived as Cirebon’s unique destinations.

Adzan Pitu? Syncretism or religious tradition: Research in Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon mosque

Adzan Pitu is one form of the legacy of Syarif Hidayatullah in spreading Islam in Cirebon. One of the ways in which Sunan Gunung Jati spread Islam is by building mosques. The construction of the Sang Cipta Rasa mosque aims to centre the spread of Islam in Cirebon and surrounding areas. A Mosque is symbolised not only as a place of worship but also as a place of studying Islam. This is what underlies the construction of the Sang Cipta Rasa mosque by Syarif Hidayatullah which is now in the Kasepuhan palace complex in Cirebon. The noble goal is constrained by the evil intentions of the Mataram envoy who wished to thwart the construction of the mosque. Until today, when the People of Cirebon are affected by an epidemic such as measles, they have to perform Adzan Pitu to repel the outbreak and sacrifices as a condition to purify the spell that was spread by the envoy of Mataram. Adzan Pitu is a call to prayer with seven people at the same time. It is a form of mixing of Islamic and Hindu culture. Adzan Pitu has character values in it, which include religious values, hard work and social care. The values contained in Adzan Pitu are a reflection of Syarif Hidayatullah’s struggle in spreading Islam in Cirebon. In addition, these values are also a legacy of Sunan Gunung Jati in an effort to increase the value of character for the nation’s next generation. Contribution: This article contributes from a multidisplinary theological perspective to hermeneutical studies behind philosophies related to the Abrahamic religions as expressed in the Qur’an.

Optimization of Traveling Salesman Problem on Scheduling Tour Packages using Genetic Algorithms

Ciayumajakuning or often referred to as Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan, is located on the east side of West Java. In supporting the regional economy, the West Java government program, especially the community, is focused on the tourism sector. the short time of tourists and the number of tourist destinations that want to be visited, make tourists have to schedule their tour as effectively as possible. By using the Traveling Salesman Problem optimization can minimize the distance of tourist visits by considering the availability of time. The solution to this problem is by combining Traveling Salesman Problems and Genetic Algorithms that can represent candidates for scheduling solutions into chromosomes randomly, then evaluate using the fitness function and then do the selection. The selection method used in this study is the roulette wheel selection method, then crossovers and mutations. In each generation, chromosomes are evaluated based on the value of the fitness function. STATUS HUKUM TANAH KERATON KASEPUHAN CIREBON SETELAH BERLAKUNYA UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 5 TAHUN 1960 TENTANG PERATURAN DASAR POKOK-POKOK AGRARIA

<p><em>This study aims to analyze and determine the legal status of the land of the Kasepuhan Palace in Cirebon after the enactment of Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning Basic Agrarian Regulations. The results show that the legal status of the Kasepuhan Sultanate lands has been transferred to the state based on the Fourth Dictum letter A Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning Basic Agrarian Principles and the land is redistributed as the object of the provisions regarding land reform on the legal basis of Article 1 Government Regulation Number 224 of 1961. It is very inversely proportional to assuming that the Kasepuhan Palace land is not and has never become self-government, then the legal status of the Kasepuhan Palace land is fully controlled as customary land / wewengkon land / prohibited forest belonging to the Kasepuhan Palace Cirebon. The problem is, based on authentic evidence, the Kasepuhan Palace has never been self-governing, but the lands controlled from generation to generation or the land of the Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon are still redistributed by the government.
