  • A A Ryzhenko + 1 more

The second paper of this series of articles suggests lifting the veil of secrecy of automated office file formats as a container for manually refining some hidden features. The article discusses an algorithm for implementing one such function — redirecting a hidden link to an active Internet resource. As mentioned earlier in the first part of the article, the increasing number of undeclared functions in the file architecture causes concern among the existing special services of states, which is fully justified by the practical lack of unified software and hardware systems for auditing injections of this kind. Studying simple software tools, unfortunately overlooked by security systems on local PCs and networks, will allow you to build a more powerful closed circuit in the workplace. The existing SIEM in a unified format for building rule bases for closed-circuit auditing does not currently contain ready-made algorithms for detecting extraneous files inside files of automated office formats. This factor needs to be corrected using self-written workplace rules individually. This series of articles does not provide practical instructions for harming the digital environment of the corporate circuit of organizations. T he considered scenario of a simple injection with redirection of a link to an Internet resource (redirect function) assumes exclusively educational functions and warnings for information security specialists.

<p><strong>Context and relevance</strong>. Due to the active introduction of information innovations into modern life, the problem of digital technologies as a safe environment for the socialization of adolescents has become particularly relevant in recent decades. The younger generation, as the most active group of Internet users, form their identity and social connections in the digital environment, which requires scientific understanding and pedagogical support for the process of socialization in the virtual world. <strong>Hypothesis</strong>: the digital environment is a tool for teenagers' socialization. <strong>Methods and materials</strong>. Research methods and data collection techniques: questionnaires (author's questionnaire on preferences in choosing Internet resources; questionnaire on socio-demographic data, as well as enthusiasm for Internet resources); psychological testing (R. Kettell's 16-factor personality questionnaire, California Psychological Questionnaire, K. Riff's Scale of Psychological Well-being). Methods of mathematical and statistical analysis: descriptive statistics, correlation analysis. Respondents: 226 schoolchildren aged 13–16 (137 girls and 89 boys). <strong>Results</strong>. The dominance of cognitive needs determines the use of digital technologies for educational purposes, while motivation in entertainment orients adolescents to access Internet resources for entertainment. The motivation for demonstration and self-expression in creative products is interconnected with the use of digital technologies to achieve this goal. Meeting the need for communication through online communication correlates with the level of socialization and a positive attitude towards others. The typology proposed in terms of digital technology passion — “Professionals”, “Creators”, “Players” — reflects the variability of motivational orientation of behavior in a virtual environment, as well as fundamental differences in the value orientations of such adolescents. Female respondents have a more pronounced connection with meeting the needs for communication and using neural networks for study, in contrast to male respondents, who have a longer stay on the Internet associated with meeting the needs for entertainment. <strong>Conclusions.</strong> The personal characteristics of adolescents determine the direction vector of targeted access to digital technologies. The relationship between socialization and the use of digital technologies is manifested through the motivational patterns of personality, which determines the work experience of adolescents in a virtual environment.</p>

  • A Samuilova

As cyber threats become more complex, traditional vulnerability detection methods lose their effectiveness. The purpose of this work is to develop and test an approach to identifying vulnerabilities based on the analysis of data from thematic Internet resources: forums, blogs and social networks. These sources contain a large amount of unstructured information, which requires the use of data mining methods. The work uses the integration of modern technologies: the pre-trained SecBERT language model (Security Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers), designed for cybersecurity tasks, and the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system DENFIS (Dynamic Evolving Neural-Fuzzy Inference System). The proposed system allows you to filter irrelevant messages, highlight indicators of compromise and potential threats. The use of fuzzy logic makes it possible to efficiently process vague and incomplete information. Experiments confirmed high classification accuracy and stable fuzzy clustering performance (FPC = 0.93; PE = 0.28; XB = 0.042). The system demonstrated the ability to promptly detect signs of cyber threats and has scalability potential for monitoring and attack prediction tasks. The results indicate its potential in increasing the speed of response to cyber threats and strengthening the protection of information systems.

  • Megan E Narad + 6 more

Examine the moderating effect of preinjury attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and secondary ADHD on response to a family-based problem solving (FBPS) intervention following pediatric traumatic brain injury. Analyses included 233 participants (114 FBPS and 119 internet resource comparison group), aged 11-18 who had been hospitalized for a moderate-severe traumatic brain injury within the previous 18 months. Parents completed measures of child functioning and their own functioning at time of enrollment, 6-, 12-, and 18-month follow-ups. Linear mixed models examined the moderating effect of ADHD status on the effect of treatment over time. Main effect of ADHD status was significant for executive functioning, F(2, 429) = 55.15, p < .0001; social competence, F(2, 421) = 22.94, p < .0001; parental depression, F(2, 420) = 4.83, p = .0085; and parental distress, F(2, 413) = 6.35, p = .0019. Consistently, those with ADHD demonstrated worse outcomes than those without ADHD. ADHD status moderated the effect of FBPS on functional impairment, F(6, 430) = 5.16, p < .0001. Among those who received FBPS, those without ADHD demonstrated the expected improvement in functional outcomes over time. The secondary ADHD group had a delayed improvement in outcomes, not present until the 18-month follow-up. The preinjury attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder group showed no change in outcomes over time. ADHD status had a significant effect on adolescent and parent outcomes and moderated the effect of FBPS on functional outcomes. Findings highlight the importance of identifying children with preinjury ADHD as well as new onset ADHD symptoms after injury to guide intervention delivery. Information Manipulations in the Modern Media Space: Mechanisms and Methods of Counteraction
  • Dec 17, 2025
  • Mediaforum Analytics Forecasts Information Management
  • Lesia Kachkovska + 1 more

The article explores the complex phenomenon of information manipulation in the digital age, which encompasses not only technological but also psychological and social aspects. The focus is on analysing the mechanisms of manipulative influence through digital platforms, particularly social networks, messengers, and media resources, which are used to spread fake news, disinformation, propaganda, and emotional provocations, thereby creating so-called «information bubbles». The main attention is paid to how the technological capabilities of modern algorithms personalise the information environment, complicating the objective perception of events and contributing to the polarisation of public opinion. Modern research in this area is analysed, demonstrating a profound transformation of the forms of influence on the audience’s consciousness. Particular attention is paid to the methods of creating fake news, emotional content, visual manipulations (memes, images, videos), as well as the activities of bot networks and trolling groups, which are aimed at forming imaginary mass support or destructive narratives. The tools of selective presentation of information are also considered, when manipulation is achieved by ignoring key facts or exaggerating minor details. It is also emphasised that information wars have become an integral part of modern political and social processes. They are implemented by both state and non-state actors in order to destabilise the situation in certain regions, influence political campaigns, shape public opinion or spread ideologically beneficial concepts. An important place is occupied by the consideration of propaganda as one of the key tools in the information war system. It is emphasised that effective counteraction to information manipulation requires a comprehensive approach, which includes developing media literacy among the population, creating fact-checking tools, promoting a culture of critical thinking, and ensuring the transparency of information sources. Particular attention is paid to the role of Internet resources as a platform not only for the spread of manipulations, but also as a possible tool for countering them. Thus, the article provides a comprehensive vision of the problem of information manipulation in the digital society and outlines the main vectors of action to neutralise their negative impact on society.
