Currently available cryptographic algorithms such as the RSA, Diffie-Hellman and the ECC are used in securing most Internet communications across the Internet. Theoretical quantum algorithms (and the Shor algorithm in particular) were demonstrated to be able to efficiently break that type of classical cryptography as soon as large-scale quantum computers are developed. To handle this new emerging security problem, PQC has been proposed as a class of cryptographic algorithms that is resistant to both quantum and classical attackers. It is a research paper offering and experimentally implementing a hybrid PQC-TLS protocol in a heterogeneous network architecture which includes edge computing devices and cloud computing and IoT devices. The suggested architecture integrates both lattice-based CRYSTALS-Kyber key encapsulation scheme and CRYSTALS-Dilithium digital signature scheme in the TLS 1.3 handshake without being interoperable with the older ECC-based key exchange schemes. Five measures of performance that included handshake latency, CPU consumption, memory consumption, bandwidth overhead and energy consumption were analyzed in detail through experimentation. The experiments were conducted using in Iot, edge and cloud nodes under controlled conditions that were repeated a number of times to give reliability in the statistics. The results indicate that the integration of PQC has moderate overhead (mean increase in latency about 1517) and decent computational and energy requirements. Another method of resisting popular attacks on networks like as the man in the middle, replay, and downgrade attacks, is security validation. The findings indicate that quantum resilient secure communication migration to a heterogeneous distributed infrastructure can be practically and scalably provided using hybrid PQC-TLS protocols. Statistical analysis including standard deviation and 95% confidence intervals was performed to validate the reliability of the results.

With the advancement of economic globalization, China's internet-related businesses have developed at an astonishing pace in recent years, with internet communication platforms flourishing like a hundred flowers in bloom. Compared to the traditional video industry, internet short-video platforms have rapidly amassed a vast audience thanks to their advantages such as rapid dissemination, extensive information coverage, rich content, strong timeliness, and convenient search capabilities. Among numerous short-video apps, Douyin stands out as the most popular and highest-downloaded platform. TikTok's user base, built through its "audio-visual integration" combined with "algorithmic recommendation," far exceeds that of various print media relying solely on visual communication. Moreover, TikTok's user base continues to grow steadily. By analyzing the content, production methods, and dissemination models of TikTok videos, this paper identifies key reasons why users are drawn to Douyin's short videos. Finally, based on these findings, the paper advocates for users to proceed steadily in this fast-paced era of media development, cultivate a scientific understanding, adopt a dialectical perspective toward TikTok content, and utilize the platform rationally—to internalize its valuable content as personal knowledge and transform it into a useful tool, rather than becoming mere victims in this age of rapid content dissemination.

The dynamics of modern technologies leads to the creation of new multimedia means of communication, especially on the Internet. The relevance of this study lies in exploring Internet communication as a new form of communication, characterized by a high degree of digitalization and having a profound impact on language. The purpose of this article was to identify and analyse the frequency of use of new linguosemiotic means of Internet communication. The research is based on the works and concepts of semiotics, Internet linguistics, media linguistics, pragmatics, communication theory, cognitive linguistics and sociolinguistics. The methods used include observation, content analysis, experiment in the form of a sociolinguistic questionnaire, and interpretive analysis. The author systematizes hybrid verbal (written and oral) and non-verbal (graphic, audial, musical) means found at different semiotic levels of the Internet language. The results of the study demonstrate that the Internet language is not just a hybrid between the oral and the written forms, but a new form of language that develops according to its own laws and produces its own creative genres. Based on a content analysis of 1500 online messages and a survey of 205 users, it was found that digital communication is actively selecting and creating semiotic signs that combine emotionality, interactivity, attractiveness and personalization. The dominance of visual and auditory elements is accompanied by the adaptation of textual and game formats to new algorithms. The increased use of multicode symbols is driven by the need to compress information and accelerate its transmission. The identified trends allow us to single out Internet language as a new semiotic system. This paper contributes to Internet linguistics, cognitive linguistics and media linguistics by expanding our understanding of linguistic processes on the Internet. The analysis of the linguistic features of Internet communication, including specific vocabulary, grammatical structures, spelling and symbols (emoticons, smileys, emoji, etc.), contributes to a better understanding and use of the Internet language for scientific and practical purposes. At the same time, it is important to draw attention to the problem of poor use of language as well as to control the Internet language, which calls for new research approaches.

This paper will consider the existing digital trends in the market, how social factors impact consumers, and the preference of consumers in mobile-first markets. We gathered quantitative data as a part of the research and included the measures of internet use and communication through social media, influence of advertisement, desire to buy the product, and use of mobile apps. This data was collected through a structured cross-sectional survey of 300 internet users aged over 18 years, chosen based on age, gender, and the main device. Descriptive and correlational data show that almost all participants have daily access to the internet, that smartphones are more the priority and that there is an overwhelming inclination to trust interpersonal channels over celebrity approval in making purchases. Advertising on social media has the strongest influence on behavior, whereas design of functional websites and free applications have a significant effect on retention and download intention. The results highlights the shifts in consumer trust relations and point out strategic insights on digital marketing optimization in mobile-based ecosystems.

ABSTRACT Despite the growing diffusion of the Internet and information and communication technologies (ICT) among the general population, only a small proportion of older adults actively use them, although their significant potential to enhance physical, psychological, and social well-being. Consequently, ICT may exacerbate the pre-existing risk of social exclusion among older adults, particularly those living in rural or remote areas. This article presents the results of an innovative project in a mountainous area of one of Italy’s most aged regions, aimed at fostering healthy and active ageing among older adults through the integrated promotion of health, social engagement, and digital learning—three interdependent components, each essential to well-being but insufficient on their own. The findings are based on a study involving the administration of an evaluation questionnaire to 61 older participants, along with three semi-structured interviews with project coordinators and trainers, offering recommendations on the role that social work can play in promoting ICT use among older adults as a means of health promotion and reducing their risk of social exclusion.

This paper introduces a semantic-aware framework for communication and computation in Internet of Drones (IoD)-assisted digital twin (DT) networks within the context of smart agriculture. In our system, the IoD gathers environmental data and conducts onboard semantic analysis to identify task-relevant features before transmission. We propose a joint optimization scheme for offloading and semantic processing that utilizes federated deep reinforcement learning (FDRL) to address communication and computation constraints via context-adaptive semantic communication. The simulation results show that the proposed approach substantially enhances energy efficiency and communication delay, depending upon the configuration, compared to traditional offloading strategies.

The article discusses the communication subsystem between marketplaces and sellers as part of the multi-level communication system used by these electronic trading platforms. Communication with sellers is becoming a critically important element in the functioning of marketplaces as media environments, since sellers account for the bulk of the trading turnover on these platforms. The study describes the communication system between the marketplace and registered sellers, defining its goals, objectives, and functions in the context of digital platforms based on a philological analysis of local acts of online platforms. The subsystem is viewed as a stable set of texts, channels, and regulatory practices that form the specific communication discourse of the marketplace. The role of linguistic means in constructing the status of the seller and normative models of their behaviour is analysed. It is also proven that this subsystem has the characteristics of media production. In preparing the study, a descriptive method was used, which included the collection of textual material for analysis and the interpretation of this material. Using a comparative-stylistic method, similarities were established in the formulation of the mission, goals, and objectives of communication between the Ozon, Wildberries, and Yandex Market marketplaces and sellers. The study implemented a systematic approach, which was expressed in the consideration of the marketplace as a media. Based on the results of the study, the goals, objectives and functions of communication between marketplaces and sellers were formulated. The classification of marketplaces as ‘media’ was justified through an analysis of their communication and management functions. The subsystem of marketplace communication with sellers was considered as an independent object of philological analysis within the media system of the digital platform. It is shown that communication with sellers functions as a mechanism of media mediation and managerial influence, within which the platform forms interpretative frameworks and acceptable scenarios for seller behaviour in the digital environment. It has been revealed that communication with sellers is regulatory, informational, and media-productive in nature. The results of the study can be used in the development of communication strategies for marketplaces, the improvement of the linguistic characteristics of local platform acts, as well as in training courses on media linguistics, internet communication, and digital media.

The subject of this research is the concepts of "Ordnung" and "порядок" as key mental units represented in German and Russian online discourse. Special attention is paid to their linguistic formulation, cognitive structure, and functioning in internet communication as a space that reflects current value and cultural orientations. The study aims to describe the semantic content of these concepts, as well as to identify the linguocultural specifics of their verbalization in virtual space. The analysis is conducted within the framework of a cognitive-discursive approach that views the concept as a result of the interaction of language, thought, and sociocultural context. Online discourse is understood as a combination of communicative practices implemented in the internet environment, including blogs, forums, comments, and other forms of online interaction. Within the scope of this subject, the research includes the construction of the nominative fields of the concepts, the analysis of the linguistic means of their representation, and the description of their cognitive structure within the corresponding linguocultures. The research methodology is based on semantic-cognitive analysis, including the construction of the nominative field of concepts, the description of the semantics of linguistic units, the identification of cognitive features, and their interpretation considering cultural specifics. The approach relies on the ideas of the interconnection of language, thought, and linguoculture. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the comprehensive semantic-cognitive analysis of the concepts "Ordnung" and "порядок" in online discourse, carried out in a comparative perspective. For the first time, these concepts are considered within the framework of internet communication as a special discursive space where active processes of representation of values, norms, and cultural attitudes take place. The methodological basis of the research allowed the identification of nominative fields, cognitive features, and semantic characteristics typical for each concept in the context of the modern digital environment. A difference in the level of derivational activity, emotional coloration, and degree of normativity of the concepts in the two linguocultures was also recorded. As a result of the study, it was established that the concept "Ordnung" in German online discourse is characterized by high structural complexity, value and normative richness, whereas "порядок" in Russian online discourse predominantly reflects pragmatic orientation related to everyday organization. The results obtained expand the understanding of the functioning of concepts in the context of internet communication and can be used in intercultural, linguistic, and translation studies, as well as in language teaching practices.

In a rapidly changing world, technological breakthroughs in the Internet and information and communication technologies (ICT) have led to innovative solutions that significantly improve people’s quality of life. IoT technology connects digital objects to the Internet, making it applicable in several industries. Internet of Nano-Things (IoNT) is the most recent evolution of IoT and has gained interest from researchers and scientists. It combines nanotechnology and IoT, provides a more advanced approach and has the potential to transform the present IoT technology. Although the benefits of IoT are boundless, there are ongoing problems in the expanding IoNT ecosystem to be addressed. This research focuses on the security and privacy problems related to IoNT and nano communication. It also explores key IoNT architectures, nanoscale communication, real-world applications, and relevant simulators and testbeds. This review addresses issues in incorporating new technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), into IoNT.

The author examines in detail the developed methodology of conceptual analysis of blog discourse as a tool for researching linguocultural models of representation of basic social concepts. The relevance of the work is determined by the increasing role of digital communication, in which the value orientations of modern society are transmitted and formed. Blog discourse is viewed as a space of natural, non-institutionalized communication that allows the identification of current ways of conceptualizing social reality. The theoretical foundation of the study is based on the principles of cognitive linguistics, linguoculturology, and the theory of conceptual metaphor. The focus is on the process of verbalizing concepts in texts of internet communication, as well as the identification of cognitive mechanisms through which users of blog discourse interpret significant social phenomena and form collective representations of them within the framework of modern digital culture and network communication. The research methodology is based on the conceptual analysis of discourse and includes the formation of a corpus of blog texts, identifying nominative representatives of the concept, reconstructing conceptual metaphors, modeling associative fields, and comparative interpretation of the obtained data. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development and systematization of a step-by-step methodology for the conceptual analysis of blog discourse, aimed at identifying cognitive and linguocultural mechanisms for the representation of social concepts in digital communication. The proposed model combines tools from cognitive linguistics and discourse analysis and involves the sequential identification of nominative representatives of the concept, reconstruction of conceptual metaphors, modeling of associative fields, and interpretation of the obtained data. The developed analytical model can be used in further research on blog discourse and other forms of internet communication, providing a comprehensive approach to the study of the processes of conceptualization and linguistic representation of socially significant phenomena in various linguocultures, and creating a reliable theoretical and methodological basis for subsequent comparative analysis of concepts in the modern digital environment.

Trust in governmental institutions is a key factor of socio-political stability and effective governance. Regional authorities occupy an important intermediate position in the system of public administration as they exert influence on socio-political processes at the national, regional, and local levels. The governor is the main political actor in the region, and their image affects the perception of the entire regional authorities. Domestic scholars see public trust as a rational method of overcoming uncertainty. The growing role of internet communications determines the need to study online trust in government authorities among social media users. Using the case of the Kemerovo Region aka Kuzbass, the author identified the main factors of online trust in the local Governor and analyzed its impact on the general trust in the national government. The mass online survey involved 752 social media users residing in the Kemerovo Region and made it possible to measure the level of trust in various official authorities. The level of trust in the Governor correlated with the level of trust in other authorities and served as an integrational factor of legitimacy for the socio-political order in the region. The research also revealed a correlation between the declarative trust in the Governor and the latent factors of public trust. The image of reliability had motivational and instrumental aspects that are crucial for information campaigns aimed at shaping digital trust in the head of a regional government.

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence technologies toward the agentic AI paradigm enables the emergence of the Agentic Web in the future Internet. Agent communication plays a critical role in constructing the Agentic Web but faces unique challenges posed by the edge–network–cloud continuum in the future Internet. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art agent communication protocols and technologies, evaluating their readiness to support the construction of the Agentic Web. We first survey representative communication protocols and analyze the key technologies they employ, assessing their effectiveness in addressing the challenges for agent communications in the future Internet. We then identify critical gaps between existing approaches and the requirements of the Agentic Web, and propose a unified architectural framework grounded in virtualization and service-oriented principles to address these gaps. Such a framework may greatly facilitate the development of a pluralistic ecosystem in which various agent communication technologies and protocols can be freely developed and fully utilized. We also discuss open topics and possible directions for future research toward a fully realized Agentic Web.

This article analyzes the influence of speech practice on the activation of neologisms based on materials from the German and Uzbek languages. The study examines the emergence of new lexical units and their connection with communicative needs, social changes, and discourse environments. Speech practice is interpreted as an important mechanism through which neologisms are created, semantically shaped, socially accepted, and gradually integrated into the language system. Particular attention is paid to the role of modern media, internet communication, and digital technologies in accelerating the spread of new words. Using examples such as Homeoffice, Covidiot, masofaviy ta’lim, and onlayn to‘lov, the article demonstrates how neologisms develop through speech practice and eventually become stable lexical units.

Foreign or second language learning can be enhanced through the interaction with the target language and cultural context. However, it has always been a great difficulty to create the authentic cultural exchange which can give students a chance of experiencing the target language. For culture based language learning, social media can be a great tool. First, direct communication with the target culture and language will keep the students motivated and give them better language skills and critical literacy. This authentic interaction will ultimately increase their reading, writing and sociocultural knowledge. Second, the interrelation between reading, writing, speaking and the need of critical literacy in learning a language can be emphasized through the use of social medias. Finally, different content-based email or internet projects are important but teachers’ role in making those effective is of prime importance. Teachers have to design the courses considering the benefits and the problems of using internet communication, along with the ways to facilitate the cultural/critical literacy through different later activities. In general, the need of cultural communication in language learning and in achieving critical literacy is undeniable.

The article examines the heading as a tool for realizing discursive strategies on educational service websites. In the context of modern internet communication, characterized by high competition for user’s attention, a heading serves a multifunctional role, realizing key discursive strategies (personalization, concretization, social proof, motivation, conversion) through specific linguistic means. The study aims to analyze the linguistic means and their corresponding speech functions (referential, informative, and appellative) that ensure the effectiveness of these strategies. The scientific significance of this study lies in expanding the understanding of the pragmatic potential of headings in the digital environment. The practical significance is determined by the possibility of applying the obtained data to optimize communication strategies of educational platforms and enhance their competitiveness. The research material consisted of 210 headings extracted from 30 English-language educational platforms. A comprehensive set of pragmatic and linguistic methods was employed, including content analysis to identify and systematize key linguistic units, quantitative analysis to determine their frequency of use, discourse analysis to uncover the pragmatic potential of the linguistic means, and functional-stylistic analysis to evaluate their effectiveness in achieving communicative goals. The results show that second-person pronouns (you, your) perform the referential function, creating personalized communication. Numerical data fulfill the informative function, acting as concretization and social proof. Imperative constructions serve as a direct tool of motivation and conversion, fulfilling the appellative function. It is concluded that the multifunctionality of the heading is achieved through the synergy of the discursive strategies, which transform it into an effective tool for managing user’s attention. The obtained results open prospects for further research in the field of digital pragmatics and the development of communication practices for educational platforms.

Abstract The pervasive interconnection of heterogeneous routing devices forms the fundamental infrastructure of modern Internet communication, making accurate router vendor identification a critical capability for multiple domains including network topology mapping, intelligent traffic engineering, and proactive cybersecurity defense. While Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) has achieved widespread global deployment as the next-generation Internet protocol, the opaque nature of its addressing mechanisms and protocol behaviors has created significant challenges in router attribute detection across IPv6 networks, leaving a crucial gap in network visibility and security analytics. To address this pressing challenge, we present IPv6 Router FingerPrinting (6RFP), an innovative lightweight fingerprinting methodology that establishes a new paradigm for IPv6 router vendor identification by systematically combining two complementary analytical dimensions: (i) comprehensive EUI-64 interface identifier analysis that captures vendor-specific hardware encoding patterns embedded in IPv6 addresses, and (ii) sophisticated IPv6 Identification Field characteristic profiling that reveals distinctive vendor implementations. Through extensive evaluation across diverse network environments, 6RFP demonstrates highly effective detection capabilities, achieving 85.79% accuracy—representing a remarkable 86.01% improvement over current state-of-the-art techniques—while maintaining minimal computational overhead suitable for real-time deployment.

The traditional TCP sender-driven approach to data communication in transport protocols can lead to ambiguity between the sender and receiver regarding packet delivery status. This issue stems primarily from the sender relying on explicit feedback from the receiver in the form of cumulative acknowledgments. While optimizations such as SACK can mitigate this issue to some extent, ambiguity may still arise due to receiver reneging or under high-loss environments, including retransmission loss. Recent research in transport protocols and new architectures has highlighted the advantages of using a receiver-driven approach over a sender-driven one for Internet communication. This shifts the traditional push-based data retrieval paradigm to a pull-based paradigm, allowing the creation of new transport services such as transparent caching and multicasting. This paper builds on these efforts to abstract and formalize a receiver-driven ARQ (RDQ) that follows established end-to-end principles in transport protocols, providing in-order reliability from the perspective of the receiver. We present the design of RDQ, layered on top of UDP, leveraging sender-driven and receiver-driven protocol elements. RDQ is implemented in the ns-3 simulator and evaluated against TCP- and SACK-style sender-driven ARQ under high-loss conditions. The preliminary results indicate the feasibility of incorporating a receiver-driven ARQ with a classic retransmission strategy in transport protocols, offering positive gains in reduced recovery delay and transmission efficiency relative to TCP/SACK-style sender-driven ARQ.
