The article presents the research of the organization of pre-flight inspection at the airport, presents hardware systems and analytical information on processing passenger traffic. On the basis of hardware inspection complexes, a comparison of their performance is presented and issues of the quality of their work are considered. A block diagram of the movement of passengers in the terminal using both domestic and international air lines is presented, analytics on passenger traffic by months are provided, experimental information on measuring the number of hand luggage and baggage items that have passed through one security screening unit at the airport is presented. Particular attention is paid to the study of hardware systems for screening passengers, since security at the airport will directly depend on their performance. Appropriate Smart Factory for SMEs: Concept, Application and Perspective

In the manufacturing industry, the smart factory is considered the final stage of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Manufacturing companies are pursuing breakthroughs by introducing various advanced technologies to ensure their competitiveness. However, it is difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to adopt smart-factory technologies, owing to financial and technical burdens. This paper proposes a smart factory that can be applied technically and strategically to the introduction of a smart factory for SMEs. The concept of an ‘appropriate smart factory’ involves applying appropriate measures in terms of cost and scale with consideration of the situations faced by SMEs. The goal is to build a smart factory that has necessary functions (Essential) but can be easily operated (Simple) at a low cost (Affordable) and has compatibility (Interoperable). This paper presents technical application measures such as appropriate smart sensors, appropriate IoT (Internet of Things), and small data processing, along with the definition of an appropriate smart factory. In addition, a case study was examined where the quality inspection equipment for garment manufacturing SMEs was developed by applying the appropriate smart factory concept.

OCULAR INJURIES ASSOCIATED WITH ELASTIC EXERCISE BANDS.

To discuss the mechanism of injury and characterize the clinical features of ocular trauma associated with elastic cord exercise equipment band injuries in a consecutive series of patients seen at a single vitreoretinal surgery practice. We performed a retrospective review of all patients who were treated for blunt trauma from 2013 to 2020 at a single vitreoretinal practice. Thirteen eyes from 11 patients met the inclusion criteria of possessing ocular trauma secondary to recoil from exercise bands. Presenting visual acuity ranged from 20/16 to HM (median: 20/32). The most frequently observed anterior segment pathologies were traumatic iritis (54%) and angle recession (31%). The most common posterior segment findings were vitreous hemorrhage (54%) and peripheral commotio retinae (54%). Three eyes (23%) required surgical intervention. Follow-up intervals ranged from 0 to 10 months (median: 1.75 months). Visual acuity at last examination ranged from 20/13 to 20/400 (median: 20/40). A wide spectrum of serious ocular injuries requiring medical and surgical intervention can result from this form of blunt ocular trauma. The frequency of this event would be decreased by the use of sports goggles and careful inspection of equipment for wear and over use.

Risk and Asset Integrated Management with Risk-Based Inspection Technique in Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Industries

Introduction: To prevent accidents and minimize the risk of unexpected disasters in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, an inspection of equipment in terms of mechanical integrity and safe and consistent service providing are of utmost importance. The purpose of this study is integrated risk and asset management by implementing risk-based inspection techniques in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
 Methods: Firstly, this systematic review study identified a list of keywords based on RBI and then exclusively on the internal and external databases of Science Direct, Pub med, Google Squalor, SDI, Google Searcher, and Scopus without a time limit. Afterward, keywords, including risk management, probability of failure, asset integrated management, risk-based inspection, consequences of failure, and corrosion management, were searched.
 Result: A review of various studies showed that the risk-based inspection approach provided the necessary platform for upgrading and formulating new inspection, repair, maintenance, equipment risk management systems and asset integration in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries and played a significant role in reducing the risk levels to its acceptable limits.
 Conclusion: By analyzing the results of studies, it was found that using this method will lead to the effective implementation of risk management, reliability, and corrosion management in oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. In fact, the system intended to provide process safety, increase risk perception of damage in line with the respective risk management, and ensure the integrity of the assets in operational units.

Research on the Power Equipment Quality Inspection Industry Based on the Theory of Value Chain: A Case Study of Zhejiang Province

Power equipment is an important part of power grid construction, and the application of quality inspection industry standards of power equipment is the key to ensuring the safe operation of the power grid. In recent years, Zhejiang Electric Power Company has been subjected to frequent faults due to quality problems of power equipment and delayed feedback of quality inspection. Based on the theory of value chain, this article conducts a study on the power equipment inspection industry, and builds a three-dimensional combined value chain system that integrates “power equipment-quality inspection-power grid operation”. It is of great significance to reduce the security risks of power grid operation in Zhejiang Province and improve the economic and social benefits of Zhejiang Province.

Construction and Application of Metal Equipment Supervision Management Information System

Thermal power plant contains a large number of metal equipment. The data of construction, overhaul, maintenance and operation of metal equipment can fully reflect the safety status of the equipment. Aiming at a large number of metal supervision data of thermal power plants in Inner Mongolia, according to the requirements of national and industrial standards, a metal supervision and management information system including various data of metal equipment design, manufacturing, installation, use, inspection, transformation and repair, life assessment and other stages is established to realize the whole life cycle management of supervision equipment in thermal power plants. At the same time, make full use of the big data retrieval function of the system, realize the big data comparison of the same type of equipment or the same type of fault, provide sufficient information for the technical supervision and failure analysis personnel, and further improve the technical supervision and technical service quality.

S2764 A Novel Cause of Odynophagia From Unintentional Foreign Body Introduction During EGD With Dilation

INTRODUCTION: Esophageal dilation is a valuable treatment option for multiple symptoms including dysphagia. Like all procedures, dilation carries its own unique risks including iatrogenic injury. We present a patient who underwent dilation and suffered a medical error when a sterilization indicator strip was inadvertently placed and left in her esophagus. CASE DESCRIPTION/METHODS: An 88-year-old female presented to a referring hospital with suspected food bolus impaction. The week prior, she had undergone an esophageal dilation for solid food dysphagia. The day after the procedure, she developed intermittent, spasm-like substernal chest pain. Her symptoms worsened to include dysphagia, hematemesis, regurgitation, and inability to tolerate her saliva which prompted her to return to the hospital. On arrival, her vitals, labs, EKG, and CXR were within normal limits and without acute findings. A CT scan of the chest demonstrated a dilated esophagus with intraluminal contents at the upper thoracic inlet. Upon transfer to our facility, GI recommended a trail of glucagon. She continued to have symptoms, which prompted an evaluation with EGD. This revealed a stiff, plastic-like foreign body in the upper esophagus. The distal edge was embedded within the esophageal mucosa causing ulceration and raising concern for impending perforation (Figure 1). Attempts were made to remove the object using a raptor grasper. Eventually, the object was removed with a jumbo oval snare. There were no deep mucosal tears or active bleeding noted after removal (Figure 2). The object was identified as a sterilization indicator strip which was almost certainly introduced at her dilation the week prior (Figure 3). An esophagram revealed moderate esophageal dysmotility without stricture, mass, or evidence of contrast extravasation. She was ultimately discharged home on a PPI with outpatient GI follow-up. DISCUSSION: In the patient presented, we do not know the type of dilator used or if any complications were encountered during dilation. We suspect the indicator strip was introduced either through a pre-dilation EGD or stuck to the dilator itself. Indicator strips can take a concave shape which allows them to adhere to round equipment reprocessed for GI procedures. Given the reduced lighting during these procedures, careful inspection of equipment is necessary to avoid missing these objects. Simulation for Service Facilities and Passenger Flow Organization Optimization on Railway Terminal

This paper takes railway terminal as research object, considers the diversity of passengers, and uses Anylogic software based on the social force model to build a dynamic simulation model of inbound walking path for complex passenger flow. BeijingWest Railway Station is taken as an example, and equipment utilization balance degree (EUBD), passenger density (PD), average walking time (AWT), passenger queue length (PQL) are selected to evaluate, and optimization suggestions are put forward. Research shows that increasing the number of security inspection equipment, escalators can significantly improve the efficiency of passengers entering the terminal, and the average walking time at the entrance on the northwest and middle side of the second floor is reduced by 73.83%, 65.99% respectively.

Implementation and Optimization Strategy of SG-CCTV Inspection of CPR1000 Nuclear Power Station

The video inspection for primary side water chamber of the steam generator (For short: SG-CCTV inspection) was an important item of nuclear island in-service inspection. According to the structure of primary side water chamber and SG-CCTV inspection equipment, implementation and management strategies of SG-CCTV inspection were introduced. From the perspective of equipment and item management, the problems during SG-CCTV implementation process were analysed. To solve those problems, suggestions for equipment improvement and item optimization management were put forward.

Fatigue life optimization towards rubber core sealing surface of under-balanced drilling rotating blowout preventer

In the process of under-balanced drilling, the rubber core of rotating blowout preventer (RBOP) subject to the alternating cycle load was prone to fatigue failure. Firstly, the sealing principle of RBOP was analyzed and the stress of rubber core in dynamic sealing process was obtained. Then, the Yeoh constitutive model in the deformation process was established by the tensile test of the rubber core material. Then we used ABAQUS software to establish the finite element model of the dynamic sealing of the rubber core, and the simulation of the sealing process of the rubber core during the drilling and tripping operations and the optimization analysis of the factors affecting the fatigue life of the sealing surface of the rubber core were carried out. In this paper, the structure of the rubber core was optimized, and the optimal outer angle of the rubber core was 155°, the inner angle was 153°, and the base angle was 125°. Then the inner diameter size of rubber core that was matched with different outer diameter drill pipes was optimized and the best combination of rubber core was obtained. The paper also optimized the lowering and lifting speed of drill pipe under different wellhead pressures. The higher the well pressure, the more likely the rubber core fatigue failure would be. The safe lowering and lifting speed of drill pipe under different pressures was obtained. At last, according to the Chinese standard, indoor seal test and field application test were carried out in the Well Control Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of China national petroleum industry to confirm the reliability of finite element optimization, which was of great practical significance to improve the service life of rubber core and oilfield operation safety.

Automatic railroad track components inspection using real‐time instance segmentation

AbstractIn the United States, to ensure railroad safety and keep its efficient operation, regular track inspections on track component defects are required by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Various types of inspection equipment are applied, such as ground penetrating radar, laser, and LiDAR, but they are usually very expensive and require extensive training and rich experience to operate. To date, track inspections still rely heavily on manual inspections which are low‐efficiency, subjective, and not as accurate as desired, especially for missing and broken track components, such as spikes, clips, and tie plates. To address this issue, a real‐time pixel‐level rail components detection framework to inspect tracks timely and accurately is proposed in this study. The first public rail components image database, including rails, spikes, and clips, is built and released online. A real‐time pixel‐level detection framework with improved real‐time instance segmentation models is developed. The improved models leverage fast object detection and highly accurate instance segmentation. Backbones with more granular levels and receptive fields are implemented in the proposed models. Compared with the original YOLACT and Mask R‐CNN models, the proposed models are able to: (1) achieve 59.9 bbox mAP, and 63.6 mask mAP with the customized dataset, which are higher than the other models and (2) achieve a real‐time speed which is over 30 FPS processing a high‐resolution video (1,080 × 1,092) with a single GPU. The fast processing speed can quickly turn inspection videos into useful information to assist track maintenance. Introduction. The purpose of this study is to find out how library preparedness in facing fire disasters in the Regional Library and Archives Service of Jambi Province, what are the factors that hamper the library to make preparedness in facing fire disasters and what are the supporting factors to overcome obstacles to library preparedness in facing fire disasters at the Jambi Provincial Library and Archives Service. 
 Data collection method. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach with data collection techniques used, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects of this study were the Head of the Library, the Secretary, the Librarian, the Head of the Kasubbid Program for the Preservation of Library Materials and the Fire Service Officer and firefighters. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling to determine the sampling with characters in accordance with the objectives of the study. 
 Analysis data. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction analysis, data presentation and conclusions. 
 Result and Discussion. The results of this study that preparedness in the face of fire disaster Jambi Provincial Library and Archive Service at the prevention stage are routine inspections of buildings, routine inspections of fire fighting equipment, marking and securing very important collections, not providing training to staff, not insuring buildings and collection and has conducted a fire disaster risk analysis. At the planning stage, which has not made guidelines and policies for fire disaster management, has not selected and determined staff members of the fire disaster management team, identified and secured collections that are important and rare, has not made a list containing the names of experts, consultants and institutions authorities, both government and private, must be contacted immediately in the event of a fire disaster and have not renewed and regularly checked insurance agreements. The factors that hamper Jambi Province to prepare in the face of a fire disaster are the budget, human resources and fire fighting equipment. Supporting factors to overcome the obstacle of library preparedness in facing fire disaster in the Jambi Provincial Library and Archives Service is to utilize the existing budget.
 Conclusions. There are two stages of the library in disaster preparedness, namely, the prevention and planning stages. It is hoped that the library can maximize the implementation of fire disaster preparedness, especially at the prevention and planning stages.

Design and Experimental Investigation for Subsea Control Module Test System

As a core part of subsea production systems, subsea control modules (SCMs) are costly, difficult, and expensive to install and inconvenient to use in underwater maintenance. Therefore, performance and function tests must be carried out before launching SCMs. This study developed a testing device and an SCM test by investigating SCMs and their underwater. The testing device includes four parts: a hydraulic station, an SCM test stand, a signal generating device, and an electronic test unit. First, the basic indices of the testing device were determined from the performance and working parameters of the SCM. Second, the design scheme of the testing device for the SCM was tentatively proposed, and each testing device was designed. Finally, a practical measurement of the SCM, in combination with the hydraulic station, SCM test stand, signal generator, electronic unit, and high-pressure water tank, was carried out according to the test requirements. The measurement mainly involved equipment inspection before testing and an experimental test for the SCM. The validity and feasibility of the testing device and method were simultaneously verified through an association test.

Design of an Active Vision System for High-Level Isolation Units through Q-Learning

The inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is one of the most necessary measures when treating patients affected by infectious diseases, such as Ebola or COVID-19. Assuring the integrity of health personnel in contact with infected patients has become an important concern in developed countries. This work focuses on the study of Reinforcement Learning (RL) techniques for controlling a scanner prototype in the presence of blood traces on the PPE that could arise after contact with pathological patients. A preliminary study on the design of an agent-environment system able to simulate the required task is presented. The task has been adapted to an environment for the OpenAI Gym toolkit. The evaluation of the agent’s performance has considered the effects of different topological designs and tuning hyperparameters of the Q-Learning model-free algorithm. Results have been evaluated on the basis of average reward and timesteps per episode. The sample-average method applied to the learning rate parameter, as well as a specific epsilon decaying method worked best for the trained agents. The obtained results report promising outcomes of an inspection system able to center and magnify contaminants in the real scanner system.

Study on the Development of Measurement Technology for Direct Current Power Systems in Insulation State Using AHRD Algorithm

In this study, an algorithm was developed to represent the insulation state of uninterruptible direct current power supply systems, including circuitry. The existing insulation monitoring system in uninterruptible state was only possible with attachment type devices, but there was no portable inspection equipment at the site. This algorithm is called asymmetric high resistance detection (AHRD), which can compensate for the shortcomings of existing pulse and passive measurement methods, like not being able to measure when both positive and negative electrodes are poorly insulated. The researchers then developed a device that uses this algorithm for the on-site testing of direct current power supply systems, such as solar power generation units and energy storage systems (ESSs). Conversion and estimation formulas were also developed and verified by analyzing the correlation between the measurement values and simulation results of the device’s sensor parameter settings. A standard power supply and standard resistance were used on the newly developed insulation meter to assess it using a lab test and a performance test. Its performance is verified through a comparative analysis between the newly developed insulation meter with the existing insulation monitoring device at an ESS site. Applying the technology proposed in this study at testing sites can enable the verification of the insulation state of circuitry and direct current power supply systems, thereby preventing accidents by ensuring electrical safety.

Optimal Inspection and Preventive Maintenance Scheduling of Mining Equipment

A typical mining company has three important assets: the human labor-force, the orebody, and the equipment. Trucks, excavators, drilling machines, crushers, grinders, classifiers, and concentrators represent the equipment. Mining operations that want to take advantage of economies of scale have huge equipment fleet, and the worth of the equipment could be more than a hundred million dollars. The reliability and availability of this equipment play critical roles in increasing the efficiency and productivity of a mining operation. This paper proposes an effective maintenance management approach to be used in the mining industry such that equipment availability and reliability are improved while potential failures are prevented. Using failure data of a mining truck fleet in an open-pit Canadian mining operation, a case study is conducted in two steps. The first step focuses on determining optimal inspection intervals based on the desired reliability level in such a way as to detect potential catastrophic failures that represent considerable maintenance and downtime costs. The second step develops a preventive maintenance scheduling plan that differentiates between physical and virtual age considering the degradation of systems and their rejuvenation after each repair. The research outcomes show that the proposed approach has the potential to increase the benefit obtained from the mining equipment and can be used in mining operations.

Analysis of a SVC Device Filter Capacitor Bank Circuit Breaker Explosion

When SVC device is in operation mode, it can provide fast dynamic reactive power compensation for the system when the power grid is disturbed greatly, and it can improve the voltage stability of the system. With the growing popularity of SVC devices in China, it is particularly important to study the faults of SVC devices in the process of operation. In this paper, the recent explosion of filter capacitor bank breaker in SVC device of a substation which was put into operation earlier in China is analyzed in detail. Through the inspection of equipment after failure, combined with the background of computer monitoring system, relay protection, and fault recording, the failure process is analyzed, and finally five preventive measures are put forward. It can provide guidance for the operation and maintenance of other station capacitor bank breakers, especially for the station capacitor bank breakers installed with SVC device, so as to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.

Measuring technology and quality assurance in packaging steel production

Tinplate, being used primarily for packaging purposes, went through a considerable development over the last decades. Its quality was continuously improved enabling significant savings in material consumption and production economy and ecology. A premise for that progress is the development of advanced measurement and inspection equipment. It utilizes different physical principles to allow an online monitoring of important material parameters for regulation feedback or quality control. One of the latest developments is an online inspection system for non-metallic inclusions. It is based on magnetic flux leakage which is contactless detected by arrays of differential GMR sensors. The sensors are mounted to compact sensor modules containing all required peripheral equipment. Multiple sensor modules are connected to hubs which convert their data stream to the GigE camera standard. The resulting device resembles a magnetic line camera covering the whole surface of the inspected strip. The recorded images are processed by a software to detect and classify defects from the material noise.

Policy and Pandemic: The Changing Practice of Nephrology During the Coronavirus Disease-2019 Outbreak.

The coronavirus (coronavirus disease-2019) pandemic has changed care delivery for patients with end-stage kidney disease. We explore the US healthcare system as it pertains to dialysis care, including existing policies, modifications implemented in response to the coronavirus disease-2019 crisis, and possible next steps for policy makers and nephrologists. This includes policies related to resource management, use of telemedicine, prioritization of dialysis access procedures, expansion of home dialysis modalities, administrative duties, and quality assessment. The government has already established policies that have instated some flexibilities to help providers focus their response to the crisis. However, future policy during and after the coronavirus disease-2019 pandemic can bolster our ability to optimize care for patients with end-stage kidney disease. Key themes in this perspective are the importance of policy flexibility, clear strategies for emergency preparedness, and robust health systems that maximize accessibility and patient autonomy.
