Guidelines for developing and managing digital business incubators: a stakeholders’ perspective

Research on business incubators has been advocating their impacts in promoting industry innovation, economic growth, fostering entrepreneurship, and social development. However, the literature gap concerning business incubator models remains, among them how to operationalize digital ones, and the knowledge about management practices informed by primary incubators’ stakeholders is also scant. Thus, this study aims to convey the fourth phase of a research project following a design science research methodology. It relied on the participation of 39 incubator managers and startup founders in focus groups and interview sessions to co-design a future digital incubation program. It informs a set of practical and knowledgeable guidelines for developing, running, and managing digital business incubators, organized on an eight-dimension proposed framework to assist academics and organization professionals interested in creating and operationalizing similar incubation programs.

The article analyses the relevance of the issues of ensuring the sustainability of development of innovative industries, taking into account the role of diversification of production for risky projects. It highlights the problems on possibilities and disadvantages of traditional application of CVP-analysis for estimation of results of realisation of projects of multiproduct production. The paper offers the hypothesis and evaluates the possibility of providing stability of development of enterprises with multi-product production on the basis of the management model of corrective factors of forming the breakeven of planned profit of a set of productions at various characteristic initiating disturbances. The author's model makes it possible to take into account deviations of all constant and variable factors of formation of the final planned profit at joint diversified production, including the difference of clock productivity and planned periods of completion of production of separate products of the diversified line of nomenclature and the chronology of deviations of changes in factors. The methodical approach presented in the article is illustrated by examples of practical implementation with analytical calculations and graphical representation of the adjustment of the change in variable and fixed costs of one product due to the change in the value of tactual productivity of another product and the adjustment of the change in fixed costs due to the value of the price of the same product. The presented approach is largely universal under other boundary conditions for the analysed pairs of initiating-correcting influences to assess the sustainability of development of both mono- and multiproduct production.

The economic development of the region depends on many factors, including ethnic characteristics of behavior. These features have a significant impact on the economic development of the region. Entrepreneurial activity, labor efficiency, innovative potential and consumer behavior of ethnic groups can contribute to the development of the regional economy or, conversely, interfere with this process. One of the key ethnic features affecting the economic development of the region is entrepreneurship. Different ethnic groups can exhibit unique skills in entrepreneurship that contribute to the creation of new jobs and the development of new industries. Ethnic peculiarities of behavior can also influence the innovative potential of the region. Some ethnic groups show a high degree of diligence, discipline and actively participate in educational and research processes. This contributes to the development of new technologies, scientific research processes. This contributes to the development of new technologies, scientific discoveries and innovative solutions that have a positive impact on the economic development of the region. Different ethnic groups may have their own preferences and consumption characteristics, which contributes to the development of the relevant sectors of the economy. For example, Japanese culture has high requirements for the quality of goods and services, which stimulates the development of high-tech and innovative industries. However, it is worth noting that ethnic peculiarities of behavior can also lead to some challenges for the economic development of the region. For example, some ethnic groups may experience discrimination or face restrictions in access to resources and opportunities. The article is devoted to the study of the influence of ethnic characteristics of Ossetian behavior on the development of the regional economy of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania. The analysis of behavior reveals the problem of the economic lag of the republic from the rest of the regions of the Russian Federation. As examples, historical facts are used that profoundly influence the behavior and way of thinking of Ossetian people to this day.

Effectiveness of Vocational Education in Weifang City,China

Weifang City is located in the eastern part of Shandong Province, China and is an important industrial city. Weifang City has multiple vocational education institutions. Many vocational colleges rank high in China. These colleges typically provide vocational skills training in various fields, including manufacturing, automotive maintenance, mechanical processing, electronic technology, hotel management, and nursing. The necessity of studying Weifang vocational education involves meeting market demand, improving labor quality, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and promoting social stability. As a provincial and municipal demonstration zone for the innovative development of vocational education in Shandong Province, it is also a representative of Shandong vocational education. Therefore, the main research object of this article is the vocational education in Weifang City, and Weifang Vocational College is the main development battlefield of Weifang Vocational Education. This article conducts research on vocational education issues, collects relevant data on vocational education, analyzes the problems existing in vocational education, and provides feasible opinion support for the development of vocational education. The significance of studying Weifang vocational education lies in a deep understanding of the current situation, problems, and development trends of vocational education in the region, providing useful references for improving and optimizing the vocational education system and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation. Promoting the matching of talent cultivation and employment needs, solving the problem of talent shortage, promoting industrial upgrading and innovative development, and improving the professional quality and quality of life of residents are of great significance. Vision Zero for industrial workplace safety innovative model development for metal manufacturing industry

This study target is to investigate Vision Zero strategy & develop a model that contributes to the reduction of injuries, accidents, and fatalities. In turn, this model aims to enhance the well-being, safety, and productivity of the manufacturing sector. The study has conducted comprehensive theoretical reviews from reputable journals that are relevant to Vision Zero, manufacturing industries in general, and specifically the metal manufacturing industries. The study also underwent a validation of the Vision Zero strategy model by discussing with a selected professional team in this field from the industry. The results of this study shows that research related to the Vision Zero strategy has not been widely disseminated or popularized. It further reveals that manufacturing industries predominantly operate based on traditional work environmental principles, rather than actively embracing the concepts and principles of Vision Zero. The study has also uncovered that previous research on Vision Zero primarily focused on road accidents, injuries, and fatalities. In contrast, studies conducted in the manufacturing sector primarily examined aspects related to safety, health, and worker well-being. However, these studies often failed to sufficiently align their objectives with the overarching priority of enhancing productivity, especially within the context of the industrial revolution. Due to the limited studies related to Vision Zero and a new area for the research database, setting comparative goals and developing a stringent strategy may not be the final outcome here with the developed model. The results of this research could provide valuable insights to policymakers & lawmakers in order to enhance workplace health and safety regulations which support industries' productivity. This study represents a pioneering effort in developing a new Vision Zero strategy model that aligns with productivity goals and emphasizes knowledge-based approaches for reducing or eliminating injuries, accidents, and fatalities.

Influence of Customer Knowledge Management on Mobile Fitness Application Customer Value Cocreation Through Flow Experience and Customer Involvement

In order to promote the innovative development of mobile fitness APP, based on value cocreation theory of customer-dominant logic, this paper discusses how the customer knowledge management, flow experience and customer involvement affect customer value cocreation in mobile fitness APPs. This study used convenience sampling and structural equation modeling to test the relationship between variables from questionnaire. Results revealed that customer knowledge management significantly and positively affected customer flow experience and customer flow experience significantly and positively affected customer value cocreation. Customer flow experience played a partial mediating role in the relationship through which customer knowledge management affected customer value cocreation, and customer involvement played a moderating role in the relationship through which customer flow experience affected customer value cocreation. Moreover, the results indicated that customer involvement significantly and positively regulated the effect of customer flow experience attention focus on customer value cocreation. Customer involvement not moderates the effect of perceived enjoyment in customer flow experience on customer value cocreation. Therefore, mobile fitness app enterprises or service organizations must strengthen knowledge management in industrial chain innovation development for strengthening the relationship with customers. Moreover, they should ensure flow experience to strengthen the psychological connection with customers and promote value cocreation to strengthen the behavioral connection with customers. These enterprises should improve the level of involvement to strengthen the emotional connection with customers.

Innovative Development and Suggestions of Tourism Industry in Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area under the Background of "the Belt and Road"

In recent years, with the proposal of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, more and more attention has been paid to the development of tourism in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area as an important support, and the problems arising from the development of tourism in cities in the region may also limit their development to some extent. This paper first introduces the current situation of the tourism industry in the Great Bay Area in the context of the "the Belt and Road Initiative", then discusses various problems in the development of the tourism industry, then sets variables based on the relevant data mentioned in these problems, conducts simple linear regression, selects significant variables from the selected variables based on the regression results, and finally draws conclusions based on their significance, And provide suggestions and personal reflections for the development of the tourism industry in the Greater Bay Area.

System characteristics of realization of competitive advantages of the economy of the regions of Ukraine

The purpose of the article is the scientific substantiation of the systemic aspects of the implementation of the competitive advantages of the economy of the regions of Ukraine, providing characteristics of the features of innovative development and competition of industries, according to which the strategic guidelines for ensuring and increasing the level of competitiveness of the region are agreed upon. In the article, scientific assumptions are made based on the existing trends in the economy of Ukraine and its regional character, which made it possible to systematically clarify the strategic orientations and expected results of the realization of the competitive advantages of the regions. The analysis of the latest research made it possible to conclude the existence of different approaches to realizing the competitive advantages of the regional economy, from which those that reveal the aspects of innovative development and regional competition of industries are highlighted. It is emphasized that the leveling of existing obstacles in the development of the regional economy of Ukraine requires the state authorities to stimulate structural transformational shifts and lay the technical, technological, and innovative foundations of a new model of growth of the national economy. Accordingly, the strategic priorities for the realization of the competitive advantages of the regions of Ukraine, which rationally reveal a new model of structuring the regional economy and clear guidelines for the innovative development of industries while not violating the principles of competition but, on the contrary, stimulating and strengthening it, need to be supplemented. A system of tools and expected results for realizing the competitive advantages of the economy of the regions of Ukraine has been formed. The distribution of tools was carried out based on the need to create and increase the scope of activities of local integrated systems and institutional elements of cross-functional and cross-industry cooperation. The regional features of Ukraine’s economy are summarized based on available competitive advantages, namely the high level of industrial production development, the formation of cross-border transit and logistics potential, specialization in agro-industrial production, a high level of scientific and technological development, and the creation of IT services. Developing green logistic services management to achieve sustainable development in Vietnam: the role of green construction practices, green social awareness and green innovation.

The selection of suitable logistic service providers is essential while making strategic decision for sustainable business. Green logistic service management is the one that incorporates sustainable practices in whole operation cycle in order to maintain product quality, timely deliveries and satisfied customers. This also helps in the prevention of products from further waste that is quite necessary in the context of emerging economies. Thus, in order to assess its effectiveness, the study proposes a framework which emphasizes that the simultaneous role of green logistic services management, green construction, green innovation, and green social awareness helps in achieving sustainable development in Vietnamese context. The outcomes revealed that the green logistic services management, green construction practices, and green innovation helps to achieve sustainability in transportation industry of Vietnam due to positive linkage. The results also exposed that the green social awareness significantly moderates among green logistic services management, green construction practices, green innovation, and sustainable development of transportation industry in Vietnam.

Analysis and Recommendations for Community E-commerce Word-of-Mouth Marketing Strategies Based on Trust Theory

Based on the perspective of trust theory, this paper conducts in-depth research and analysis on the word-of-mouth marketing strategy of community e-commerce. In the course of the research, the basic concepts of trust theory and the characteristics of community e-commerce are sorted out, and the importance of word-of-mouth marketing in community e-commerce is clarified. The research results show that the success of community e-commerce word-of-mouth marketing is closely related to users' trust in the platform. Community e-commerce word-of-mouth marketing has challenges to the authenticity of word-of-mouth, the proliferation of false word-of-mouth, and the response to public opinion crises. In order to solve these problems , through the implementation of strategies such as strengthening the monitoring and management of user evaluations, establishing a true and credible word-of-mouth communication mechanism, strengthening the identification and prevention of false word-of-mouth, and establishing a crisis management mechanism to respond to public opinion crises in a timely manner, these strategies will help improve community e-commerce The effect of word-of-mouth marketing and users' trust in the platform will promote the innovation and sustainable development of the community e-commerce industry.

State management and financial support of innovations: the example of Ukraine

The article discusses the current trends in innovation in Ukraine, their financial support and features of public management on the example of the defense and agricultural sectors, which are vital in the field of national security. The goal is to study the impact of new economic realities caused by systemic reforms and crisis processes on the innovative development of Ukraine in order to substantiate promising areas of innovative national security in terms of highlighting the conceptual foundations of financial support for innovation as a component of Ukraine's national security. To achieve the goals of the study, scientific tasks are defined: analysis of the regulatory regulation of state investment management, statistical analysis of financing costs and correlation analysis of macro indicators, the policy of forming an innovative economy in the countries of the world, industry specifics of individual sectors of national security. Methodological tools used in the research are methods of economic theory, the method of comparisons and statistical analysis for the disclosure of innovative analysis and its components; formalization method for work on direct strategic development. According to the analysis of the dynamics of funding of scientific and scientific and technical activity during 2010-2020, an increase in the specific weight of external funds, other sources and, accordingly, a decrease in the specific weight of budget financing, domestic and foreign customers, which calculated the results of the core of the innovative ratings of the country. The data of the econometric analysis of 2010-2021 show the dependence of the view on innovations and the increase of the main macroeconomic indicators. This will be confirmed by the ranking positions for the global innovation index. Foreign experience was analyzed and recommendations are made for its possible application in the national economy. Research will contribute to the further development, emphasis and coordination of governmental and international programs for innovative development being developed for it. The results of the study may be useful for the formation of a strategy for the innovative development of individual industries.

Network centrality, support organizations, exploratory innovation: Empirical analysis of China's integrated circuit industry

Exploratory innovation is critical to the breakthrough of core technologies in the integrated circuit (IC) industry, and cooperative innovation is a promising form of IC industry development. According to the viewpoint of social network, this paper constructs intercity networks of the IC industry by using a data set of cooperation patents from 2011 to 2020 in China. We uncover the evolution characteristics of the innovation networks, explore the relationship between network centrality and exploratory innovation in a city, and consider universities and development zones, named support organizations, as moderating variables. The results of the social network analysis (SNA) and dynamic panel system generalized method of moments model (System-GMM) are given as follows: Cities are increasingly inclined to collaborate with counterparts over time for innovation, but the overall network scale remains small. Beijing occupies core position in the networks. A cooperative innovation model driven by peripheral cities has been formed as the number of the peripheral cities has gradually increased. The network centrality of a city has a positive effect on its exploratory innovation. Both universities and development zones positively moderate the effect of network centrality on exploratory innovation. Based on the characteristics of the network, our study reveals the importance of taking the internal structure of the network and the node support environment into the same framework, which provides guidance for the innovative development of the world IC industry.

Effect of carbon emissions and the driving mechanism of economic growth target setting: An empirical study of provincial data in China

As the largest developing country in the world, China is committed to promoting high-quality economic development, while maintaining necessary economic growth. Given the downward pressure on economic growth alongside the goal of achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality, the scientific coordination of economic growth and carbon emissions is a vital consideration at local government level. Setting economic growth targets is an important element of economy management, one that also affects carbon emissions through factor allocation. This study analyzes the theoretical impact of setting economic growth targets based on carbon emissions, and conducts empirical research utilizing Chinese provincial-level panel data from 2000 to 2019. Accordingly, this study adopts the driving mechanism using mediating and moderating effect models. The economic growth target setting significantly reduced carbon emissions, and the study's result conclusively passed the robustness test. The carbon emission effect of the economic growth target setting has significant spatiotemporal heterogeneity. Setting economic growth targets affects carbon emissions by influencing industrial structure, factor mismatch, and innovative development. Moreover, the relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth targets is significantly regulated by government behavior and marketization levels. In future, optimizing the government's economic management behavior is an important measure for China to achieve the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. For local governments, the focus is on formulating reasonable growth targets, promoting market-oriented reform, and accelerating innovation-driven transformation to achieve a high-quality synergy between economic growth and carbon emissions reduction. On the basis of enriching relevant research perspectives, this study provides empirical experience for understanding the carbon emission effects of economic management in the emerging countries, and the driving mechanism identification can provide reference for local governments to optimize economic management behavior.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Current Knowledge Structure and Research Progress Related to Sustainable Furniture Design Systems

Sustainable furniture design has emerged as a prominent area of research, focusing on the interrelationships among people, furniture, and the environment. Despite being in its nascent stage, this field has garnered attention from scholars across disciplinary boundaries, seeking to explore new opportunities for industrial development and innovative perspectives. The objective of this paper is to clarify the extent of the current research literature, present the current significant themes, and elaborate further on the developed and potential future research directions in sustainable furniture design. In this research, a systematic analysis of bibliometric performance and scientific mapping of literature on sustainable furniture design was carried out by examining 1578 published papers from 2002 to 2023 selected from the Web of Science database, utilizing BibliometrixR package, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace tools for the analysis. The findings indicate a marked increase in research output in this area since 2012, with China being the primary contributor, although not achieving the highest citation rates. Furthermore, the study identifies 713 instances of international collaborations among researchers from 81 countries, with China and the United States being the most frequent partners. The research direction of highly cited literature, journals with the most published papers on sustainable furniture design, and authors with high total citation rates indicate a prominent connection between sustainable furniture design and fields such as product technical science, environmental science, ecology, and material research. The analysis of co-citation and keywords reveals the evolution of research themes, these key issues include furniture-human body scale match, furniture structure and performance, lifecycle, carbon emissions reduction, furniture industry chain, artificial intelligence, new development, school furniture safety and quality, and furniture strength and load capacity, with the focus shifting from the ontology of furniture and the human body to the external scope, emphasizing the connection with life, the environment, and the future. The latest research highlights industry chains, artificial intelligence, and innovative development, reflecting the trends of future research topics as “multi-dimensional integration”, “health and intelligence”, and “environment and system” will be the direction for the next stage.

Key Technologies of Financial Digital Industry Innovation and Green Development Driven by Information Technology

With the development and application of Internet technology, the world has entered a new era of the Internet economy. Information resources worldwide are no longer limited by time or space, which significantly improves the operational efficiency of production and commerce. As an essential part of the digital economy, digital finance is developing rapidly. Compared with traditional finance, Internet finance and digital finance have the advantages of low informational and transactional costs, and efficient services, which bring more benefits to consumers and investors. In the traditional small and fragmented long-tail market, the availability of finance has been effectively improved through technology-driven development. However, the sound development of the financial digital industry is inseparable from the self-generated sense of innovation and the exploration of green and sustainable development within the industry. This paper shows the evolution of the innovation and development of the financial digital industry driven by information technology in recent years, summarizes and discusses the key technologies emerging in it, and analyzes its limitations and shortcomings. This work will provide some references for the green development of the current industry.

Regional Sustainable Strategy Based on the Coordination of Ecological Security and Economic Development in Yunnan Province, China

Coordination between ecological security and economic development is crucial to sustainable development, with a development strategy that should be adjusted according to the type of region. Yunnan Province, China, is a treasure trove of biodiversity but is economically lagging. Clarifying the relationship between ecological security and economic development can provide a reference for the sustainable development of similar biodiversity hotspots in the world. The landscape index method and index evaluation method were used to calculate the ecological safety index (ESI) and the economic development index (EDI), respectively, and the median value of the indices was used for the comprehensive zoning. The coupled coordination degree model (CCDM) was used to assess the coordination status of ecological safety and economic development in each zone. The results show that (1) Yunnan’s ecological security pattern is high in the west and low in the east, mainly influenced by topography, climate, and human activities; its economic development is resource-dependent and shows a multi-point dispersed pattern due to poor transportation; (2) Yunnan was partitioned into the Coordinated Development Zone (CDZ), the Ecological Risk Zone (ERZ), the Economic Poverty Zone (EPZ), and the Dual Pressure Zone (DPZ). Among them, CDZs (15%) are mostly areas with outstanding advantageous resources, mature characteristic industries, and relatively spatially dispersed. There are two types of ERZs (35%): one is an area where the intensity of human activities exceeds the ecological carrying capacity, mainly located in the eastern plateau; the other is an area with fragile ecological background conditions, located in high mountains and river valleys. EPZs (35%) are mainly lagging in socioeconomics of DPZ (15%) and the fragile ecological environment constrains each to form a negative cycle. (3) Of the regional coordination levels in Yunnan Province, 76% are moderately coordinated, and there is still space for development from the high-quality coordination level. The order of the average coordination degree of each partition is CDZ > ERZ > EPZ > DPZ. The poor basis for coordination and the single approach to coordination have led to ecological safety and economic development often being more difficult to achieve in areas with large mountainous areas similar to Yunnan. (4) Due to the necessity for biodiversity protection, Yunnan Province should choose the sustainable path of ecological priority and green development. Specifically, CDZ should play to industrial advantages and brand effects, and promote industrial integration and innovative industrial development paths. The keys to ERZ are industrial restructuring, industrial ecologization, and ecological environment restoration and protection. EPZ should improve transportation and other infrastructure and revitalize economic development under the premise of ecological priority. Finally, DPZ should emphasize human and load reduction, and moderate development.

Current situation of acupuncture and moxibustion patents in China and abroad

The patents of acupuncture and moxibustion in China and abroad was analyzed, aiming to provide support for the innovative development of acupuncture industry. With the China Think Tank of Patent of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the PatSnap database as data sources, based on the mathematical statistics method, the application trend, legal status, patent types, transformation and distribution of major technical fields of acupuncture patents in China and abroad were analyzed. As a result, a total of 53,422 acupuncture patents were screened, involving 49 countries and 4 organizations. The patent types were mainly utility model patents. Although the application number of acupuncture patent had increased rapidly, the average patent conversion rate was generally low, approximately 4%. In the context of global economic integration, the acupuncture industry is developing at a high speed. It is suggested to take advantage of the "Belt and Road Initiative" to improve the international acceptance of acupuncture and moxibustion, adhere to the principle of attaching equal importance to the number and quality of patents, promote the in-depth cooperation of industry-university-research, and promote high-quality development of acupuncture and moxibustion.
