Implementation of Effective Sports Human Resource Management Policies in Improving the Performance of Sports Organizations in the Society 5.0 Era

Current advances have created very tight competition among Central Java Petanque sports organizations, encouraging the need for extraordinary performance to support national sporting achievements. The change from the previous era to the Society 5.0 Era reflects significant evolution in the industrial revolution, technological progress and social change. In the Era of Society 5.0, the role of the Central Java Petanque sports organization is increasingly important in responding to the dynamics of social and technological change. Human resource management in the Central Java Petanque sports organization faces various challenges, such as the diversity of team members involving differences in culture, language and work styles. Therefore, implementing human resource management policies that focus on sports is very important to compete at the global level, improve sports performance, and support the achievement of national goals in Indonesia's sports achievements. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The research results show that its application will face dynamics and challenges regarding limited sports human resources, cultural and value differences, and dynamic flexibility. Therefore, alternative solutions are needed to deal with various problems, such as automation in increasing awareness about the value of various crocodiles, automation that leads to digitalization, as well as developing programs for the involvement of all human resources in sports

Establishment and application of real-time monitoring system for mine ventilation resistance

The monitoring of ventilation resistance in domestic coal mines is generally faced with two problems: huge workload and lagging monitoring data behind production, which is due to the backward monitoring technology. In recent years, with the progress of technology and equipment in the coal industry, ventilation resistance monitoring products have appeared in the market one after another, but they still face the following main problems: (1) the sensor measurement error needs to be further improved; (2) The monitoring scheme is relatively simple, and the use of absolute pressure multi-parameter monitoring faces two problems: measurement error and construction cost; (3) There is a lack of successful application cases of ventilation resistance monitoring in the industry, and the analysis and application of ventilation resistance monitoring data by the upper computer is insufficient. In view of the above problems, this paper studies the principle, monitoring scheme, system framework and practical application of ventilation resistance monitoring, aiming to solve the problem of real-time online monitoring and analysis of ventilation resistance.

Unveiling the complex web: exploring the international fossil fuel trade network and its impact on CO2 emissions and trade patterns

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to examine the structure of the international fossil fuel trade network (IFFTN) and assess its effects on CO2 emissions and global trade patterns. This research integrates complex network theory with econometric analysis to explore the dynamics of fossil fuel trade and its implications for environmental quality across various countries. Specifically, the study analyses the roles of different countries within this global network, examines the relationship between trade volumes and environmental impacts and evaluates how advancements in renewable energy generation could mitigate these effects. Through this comprehensive examination, the study seeks to provide an in-depth understanding of the trade-environment nexus.Design/methodology/approachThe study uses data on international fossil fuel trade from 2005 to 2020, which includes 74 countries categorized as high-income, low-income and Asian economies based on their roles in the global market. This research constructs the IFFTN, where countries are depicted as nodes and trade links as edges. The authors analyse network parameters, such as degree, density and clustering coefficient, along with trade metrics like strength and centrality. These parameters are integrated into a panel fixed effects model, with the robustness of the findings confirmed through dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS) analysis.FindingsThe study finds that the dynamic fossil fuel trade network includes key players such as the USA, China, France, India, the Netherlands and South Korea. It demonstrates increased connectivity and dependence among these countries, directly correlating with higher CO2 emissions. However, this correlation is mitigated by the adoption of renewable energy, particularly in Asia and high-income countries. The impact on environmental quality is mediated through scale, technique and composition effects, suggesting significant environmental improvements through enhanced industry structure, technological progress and economies of scale.Research limitations/implicationsThis study recognizes several limitations. First, the categorization of countries into Asian economies, low-income and high-income groups may oversimplify the intricate effects of economic status on environmental impacts. Second, focusing primarily on per capita CO2 emissions may neglect other critical environmental indicators. Future research should consider examining regional variations and including a wider range of environmental metrics. This approach would offer a more detailed perspective on the nuanced interactions between economic development and environmental sustainability, enhancing the depth and applicability of the findings.Practical implicationsTo address the challenges of the IFFTN and CO2 emissions, several practical policy measures are recommended. Governments should enhance international cooperation by establishing global platforms for sharing best practices and initiating technology transfer agreements to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient technologies. Additionally, a phased transition towards more sustainable energy sources is crucial, involving increased investment in the renewable energy sector alongside incentives for adopting green technologies. On the trade front, governments should modify trade partnerships to address congestion externalities, fostering a shift towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly trade practices.Social implicationsThe social implications of the IFFTN are profound. As global reliance on fossil fuels continues, communities face heightened health risks due to increased pollution. Transitioning to renewable energy can alleviate these health concerns and the creation of green technologies, enhancing social well-being. Moreover, equitable access to energy-efficient solutions can reduce energy poverty, particularly in low-income countries, fostering greater societal resilience and inclusivity.Originality/valueThis study offers a pioneering examination of the trade-energy nexus across 74 countries, using complex network models to analyse diverse economic settings, particularly in Asian economies dominated by non-renewable energy. It identifies key market players and assesses their impact on dynamics such as congestion and market power. Additionally, the study explores the positive effects of renewable energy capacity on these relationships, highlighting its crucial role in driving sustainable energy transitions and enhancing the understanding of indirect trade-environment interactions.

Carbon Emission Heterogeneity in Developed Countries: Insights for China’s Neutrality Strategy

This study investigates the heterogeneity and driving factors of carbon emission reduction in developed countries, providing insights for formulating carbon neutrality strategies and plans in China. Firstly, typical developed countries worldwide are categorized into four modes: high energy consumption–high emissions, high energy consumption–low emissions, low energy consumption–low emissions and low energy consumption–high emissions, based on the “per capita energy consumption–emission intensity” classification method. Secondly, the LMDI decomposition model is employed to calculate the carbon emission-reduction driving effects of each mode, thereby analyzing the evolution path of carbon emissions. Finally, carbon emission-reduction policy recommendations are proposed based on the current situation of provincial carbon emissions in China. The research findings are as follows: (1) Carbon emissions in developed countries follow the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) law, exhibiting an inverted U-shaped trajectory. In the per capita GDP range of USD 12,000–20,000, carbon emissions in most countries have reached or are close to their peak, with per capita carbon emissions in different modes decreasing and tending towards a level of 4000 kg/person. (2) There is heterogeneity in the EKC of carbon emissions in developed countries, which can be divided into technological, structural, comprehensive and clean types based on differences in emission-reduction factors. The trajectories of carbon emissions in most developed countries follow a clean path, while those in newly developed countries are constrained by environmental pressures and are expected to be between mixed and structural types before the emission peak, and tend towards a clean type after the peak. (3) Energy clean-up is the most direct and efficient method for carbon emission reduction, which can significantly and efficiently achieve carbon emission reduction. Industrial restructuring and technological progress play a significant role in suppressing carbon emissions. Policy recommendations are proposed as follows: first, reduce the proportion of fossil energy and increase energy cleanliness; second, promote industrial restructuring to reduce energy dependence; third, enhance production technology and improve energy-utilization efficiency; fourth, increase technological breakthroughs to support low-carbon transformation; fifth, correctly recognize the differences among provinces in China and formulate differentiated carbon emission-reduction policies.

Exploring the Impact of the Digital Economy on China's Export Implied Carbon Intensity: A Provincial Panel Data Analysis

Exploiting the positive effect of digital economy on reducing the implied carbon intensity of exports is an important path to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of China's export trade. In view of this, using the Chinese provincial panel data from 2008 to 2020 to scrutinize the consequential impact and intricate mechanisms at play between these variables. Employing a robust methodology, including fixed-effects models, mediating-effects models, and threshold models, the analysis delves into the multi-faceted impact of the digital economy on export implied carbon intensity. It is found that (1) The enhancement of the digital economy can significantly reduce the implied carbon intensity of exports. (2) The digital economy further diminishes the implied carbon intensity of exports through the mediating influences of industrial structure and technological progress. (3) The relationship between the digital economy, industrial structure, and technological progress exhibits a noteworthy non-linear dynamic concerning export implied carbon intensity.

The impact of different transportation infrastructures on urban carbon emissions: Evidence from China

Transport infrastructure is an important source of carbon emissions, and different transport infrastructure have varying impacts on urban carbon emissions, which has been lacking in previous research. This study selects 273 cities in China from 2005 to 2020 and applied the spatial Durbin model and mediation effect model to empirically examine the direct impact effects, spatial spillover effects, scale and regional heterogeneity, and indirect pathways of highways, high-speed railways, and urban rail on urban carbon emissions. The results shows that: (1) Overall, high-speed railways have a significant reducing effect on carbon emissions, while highways and urban rail have the opposite effect. (2) Considering spatial spillover effects, highways and high-speed railways can promote carbon emissions reduction in neighboring areas, while urban rail has the opposite effect. (3) For scale heterogeneity, urban rail can reduce carbon emissions in mega-cities, while highways and high-speed railways have the opposite effect. For regional heterogeneity, all three types of transport infrastructure can reduce carbon emissions in western cities, but increase urban carbon emissions in eastern and central regions. (4) Industrial upgrading, technological progress, and population agglomeration are all pathways through which transport infrastructure indirectly affects carbon emissions, but their effects vary for different transport infrastructure.

Industrial technological progress, technology spillover, and the environment in a dual agricultural economy

AbstractDeveloping nations typically prioritize economic growth. Thus, industrial technological progress frequently leads to production expansion and subsequent environmental degradation. This paper, however, proposes that in a dual agricultural economy, the progress in industrial production technology does not necessarily degrade the environment when considering technology spillover. Utilizing a general equilibrium model, we conclude that, at the beginning of modern agricultural development, increasing technology spillover rate adversely affects the environment and social welfare. Yet, after the popularization of modern agriculture, increasing this rate can enhance environmental and welfare conditions. Under specific conditions, industrial technological progress might promote environmental and welfare benefits.

Industrial technology progress, digital finance development and corporate risk-taking: Evidence from China's listed firms.

Industrial technological progress, as an essential industrial-technological and institutional phenomenon, brings with it the possibility of high profits for firms but also implies new norms and rules of competition, which affect the willingness and propensity of firms to bear the costs of undertaking venture capital projects. This study empirically investigates the causal impact of industrial-technological progress on corporate risk-taking and the mechanism of digital financial growth on the relationship between the two, based on data from China's A-share listed businesses from 2011 to 2020. This paper finds that (1) industrial technological progress improves enterprise risk-taking levels. Moreover, digital financial development has an incentive effect on industrial technological progress and enterprise risk-taking levels. (2) Industrial technological progress under digital financial development generates financing constraint relaxation effects, input capital return enhancement effects, and innovation performance incentive effects, increasing enterprise risk-taking. (3) The positive moderating effect of digital financial development on the relationship between industrial technological progress and the risk-taking level of enterprises in the eastern regions and enterprises in the high-tech industry is more prominent. The study's findings provide a theoretical foundation and policy insights on the crucial elements of industrial-technological progress and enterprises' increased ability to take risks throughout the development of digital finance.

Function adjustment of economic law under industrial new normal environment based on improved neural network

In the new normal period, the trend changes and adjustments of the environment such as international trade, production capacity, labor supply and resource constraints have put forward new requirements for China’s industrial development, which have brought new challenges and given new opportunities. In the new normal stage where economic growth continues to decline, industrial growth is still an important support for economic growth. The advancement of industrial technology is the main driving force for improving the total factor productivity of the industrial industry. Therefore, the most important thing to promote industrial growth is to upgrade the level of industrial technology. In response to the above-mentioned problems, this paper analyzed the relationship between industrial technology and industrial output in the new normal environment by using the BP neural network (BPNN) algorithm. The connection between the two has been found, which provided a clear direction for the functional adjustment of economic law. Experimental studies have shown that there is a positive relationship between industrial technological progress and industrial output. When other conditions are the same, and when the non-new normal is selected, industrial output increases by about 0.36% for every 1% increase in industrial technological progress. When choosing to be in the new normal, industrial technological progress has a higher impact on industrial output. For every 1% increase in technological progress, industrial output increases by about 0.39%.

Research on evaluation of Wuhan air pollution emission level based on entropy weight method

For the lack of precise monitoring and accurate assessment models for air quality, this paper fully considers such constraints and establishes an evaluation model of air pollution emission level to evaluate the air pollution emission level of Wuhan—a city in central China. The model uses entropy weight method including important indicators of air pollution into the integrated optimization of air quality assessment, laying the basis for sources of pollution and the reasonable and effective city development. The total emissions of air pollution for Wuhan shows a gradual upward trend over time, mainly coming from industrial pollution. The government can reduce air pollution by focusing on detecting major polluting industries, promoting industrial technological progress and innovation, and strengthening the effective implementation of emission trading system.

Assessment of the co-benefits of China's carbon trading policy on carbon emissions reduction and air pollution control in multiple sectors

Achieving synergies in reducing carbon emissions and air pollution is the key to promoting green development in China's economy and society. However, the effectiveness and synergy of carbon reduction policies, such as the carbon trading policy in each sector, have not been assessed. This study uses the time-varying difference-in-difference model (DID) to assess the co-benefits and mechanisms of carbon trading pilot policy on the emissions of carbon and air pollutants across the country and in the power, industry, transport, and resident sectors. The results show that the policy is useful in controlling air pollution in pilot areas, and the effect is better than that of reducing carbon emissions. The carbon trading policy can also help various sectors achieve the co-benefits of reducing carbon emissions and controlling air pollution. Furthermore, the mediating role of industrial structure, technological progress, and foreign direct investment in the implementation of carbon trading policy varies across sectors. The results can provide guidance for each sector to achieve collaborative governance in reducing carbon emissions and air pollution.

The economic and environmental dividends of the digital development strategy: Evidence from Chinese cities

Digital development is critical for achieving coordinated regional economic growth, energy conservation, and emissions reduction, which makes it a viable method for achieving carbon neutrality and peaks. This study investigates the impact of the digital economy on urban total factor productivity and carbon emissions, as well as its mechanism, from 2011 to 2019 by developing a digital economy evaluation index system. We find that the growth of the digital economy can increase urban total factor productivity while lowering carbon emissions and also has a significant spatial spillover effect on regional economic growth, energy conservation, and emissions reduction. The main influencing mechanism is that the digital economy accelerates marketization by encouraging industrial structure upgrades and technological progress, which results in higher total factor productivity and lower energy consumption. In terms of the spatial distribution, the digital economy promotes total factor productivity more in the central and western regions and large cities and promotes carbon emission reduction less in the eastern regions and smaller cities. The findings extend the benefits of the digital economy beyond economic and social welfare benefits and serve as a model for achieving a win–win situation in terms of both economic growth and carbon emissions reduction.

Relevansi Budaya Keamanan Pangan dengan Implementasi Teknologi Industri 4.0 di Industri Pangan Indonesia

The application of food safety culture (FSC) which is influenced by human behavior with the development of industrial technology (IT) 4.0 with less human resources provides a challenge to understand the relationship between them. The research objective was to provide quantitative data and suggestions for improving the implementation of the FSC dimensions in synergy with the progress of IT 4.0. This research involved 35 participants from 18 local companies and 17 multinational food companies (MFC/PMA) for the survey and invited 7 selected participants from both of them to join the FGD. The FSC survey showed that the gap organizational maturity in FSC implementation between local companies (2.93) and PMA (3.62) in Indonesia was 0.7 (world best practice 4.0 – 5.0). The three main benefits and opportunities for implementing IT 4.0 were effectiveness and efficiency, safe and quality products, and early detection to prevent non-conformities or product recalls. There were three main IT 4.0 application areas, namely production, quality, and engineering. The three main forms of IT 4.0 implementation were advanced robotics, big data, and internet of things (IoT). The FGD results showed the relevance between FSC and IT 4.0. Activities in IT 4.0 helped the food industry to manage food safety and quality management system better, because technical problems that previously took time and thought can be implemented effectively and efficiently. Data analysis can be carried out more in-depth, actual, and accurate. Further research is recommended to see the strength of the relationship between FSC and IT 4.0 parameters to determine critical areas with quantitative research methods and advanced statistical data processing.

The Enlightenment of Technology Introduction from Japan and South Korea on China

The improvement of the competitiveness of advanced manufacturing industry cannot be separated from the optimization and upgrading of industrial institutions. The optimization and upgrading of industrial institutions provide an ecosystem for the improvement of the competitiveness of advanced manufacturing industry. Only by starting from the low-end manufacturing industry can the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure provide assistance for the improvement of high-end manufacturing industry. The article analyzes how to optimize industrial institutions and enhance the competitiveness of industries based on the selection of technology introduction policies in industrial technological progress.

New Digital Infrastructure, Financial Resource Allocation and High Quality Economic Development in the Internet Era

Abstract This paper first establishes the index system of high-quality economic development and realizes the calculation of economic high-quality development score with the help of the entropy value method and coupling mechanism. Secondly, by constructing a spatial autocorrelation model, the spatial spillover effect of new infrastructure on high-quality economic development is empirically investigated. The mediation effect of digital new infrastructure on economic high-quality development through industrial structure and technological progress is continued to be analyzed. Finally, based on the panel data of 30 Chinese provinces from 2008 to 2020, the dynamic panel threshold model and the dynamic spatial Durbin model are used to test the nonlinear effects of financial resource allocation on the convergence of high-quality economic development and the mechanism of action, respectively. It is found that the direct effect coefficient of digital new infrastructure is 0.002 with a p-value less than 5%, and the indirect effect coefficient is 0.004, which passes the significance test at the 1% level. It is conducive to promoting high-quality economic development, and the allocation of financial resources can significantly enhance the role of new digital infrastructure in promoting high-quality economic development. Accordingly, implementing the new digital infrastructure proposed in this paper has contributed to the modernization of government governance, optimized the allocation of financial resources, and promoted high-quality economic development.

Impact of Energy Productivity and Industrial Structural Change on Energy Intensity in China: Analysis Based on Provincial Panel Data

Since 2000, China’s energy intensity has shown a fluctuating downward trend. Most existing studies have attributed the decline to technological progress, and only a few studies have recognized the role of industrial structure change. In this paper, a multi-region and multi-sector CGE (computable general equilibrium) model and a numerical simulation method are used to study how technological progress and structural transformation affected the energy intensity of 30 provincial-level regions in China from 2000 to 2019. The results show the following points. (1) The contribution of technological progress to the decline in energy intensity was the highest in the central region, followed by the western region, and was the lowest in the eastern region. (2) The progress of energy technology in the agriculture and industry sectors promoted the transition of energy consumption to the service sector, thereby reducing the overall energy intensity. This effect was the strongest in the eastern region, followed by the central region, and was the weakest in the western region. (3) The progress of energy technology in the service industry promoted the transition of energy consumption to industry and agriculture, thereby enhancing the energy intensity, and this effect was the strongest in the eastern region, followed by the western region, and the weakest in the central region. The conclusion of this paper provides a theoretical basis for realizing regional carbon peaking in sequence in China.

Explaining and modeling the impact of industrial co-agglomeration on regional economic growth in China: integrated a quality concern of night-time light perspective.

The double-wheel drive of manufacturing industries and producer services industries is one of the key pathways to promote high-quality development relying on a modern industrial system. This paper explores the impacts of industrial co-agglomeration on regional economic growth in China with systematic consideration of static, dynamic, and spatio-temporal perspectives based on panel data for 285 prefecture-level cities from 2003 to 2020, employing the consolidated night-time light data. The empirical results show that industrial co-agglomeration significantly accelerates regional economic growth, especially high-tech intensity producer services industries, information industries, and finance industries. In addition, its spatial spillover effects are evidently established, which are characterized by cyclic accumulative, feedback features, and distance attenuation. Carrying out robustness tests, the preliminary regression results are verified. The heterogeneous influences are established across cities with different geographical locations, innovation capacities, and resource endowments. The further mechanism analysis indicates that industrial upgrading, technological progress, and efficiency enhancements account for the main channels for a sharp promotion in regional economic growth over the sample period. Furthermore, the government moderates this process more significantly than market forces do, especially when it comes to macroexogenous shocks that are regulated by the government. The findings of this study recommend policymakers to give full play to the positive externalities of industrial co-agglomeration and accelerate the industrial co-agglomeration process in a reasonable manner, so as to promote high-quality economic growth in China.

Analysis of the history of creation and improvement of personal protective equipment: from bronze armor to modern bulletproof vests

In this article, using real historical examples, the authors tried to trace the evolution of personal protective equipment. This has made it possible to perform a comparative historical analysis of the development of scientific research and industrial technologies, which made it possible to manufacture specific personal protective equipment in a certain historical period. Also in this review article, the authors have analyzed the stages of modern technologies that are currently used in the manufacture of various types of bulletproof vest. And given that the overwhelming majority of authors of publications devoted to the history of the creation of bulletproof vests write that: the bulletproof vest does not have a specific inventor, in this review article the authors also talk about specific, undeservedly forgotten now, the creators of the world's first officially patented prototypes of bulletproof vests for the police and VIP-persons, at the beginning of the 20th century, who stood at the origins of the bulletproof vest industry. With the development of the industrial revolution and technological progress, new materials and production technologies have appeared, allowing the creation of more effective bulletproof vest. Bulletproof vest has become lighter and more effective over time, thanks to the use of new materials such as Kevlar, aramid fibers and ceramics. Thus, the history of the development of bulletproof vest includes the contribution of many scientists, engineers and inventors who have contributed to the improvement of protective armor over the years. In the article, the authors show that modern realities put forward new requirements for quality, weight and functional characteristics for design engineers and manufacturers of bulletproof vest. The authors of the article analyze the main directions in which research work is currently underway to improve bulletproof vests. The authors of the article show that in different countries of the world there are different standards and classifications for bulletproof vest. Each standard usually has its own classification, which determines the level of protection of bulletproof vest against specific types of threats, such as bullets, shrapnel or stab wounds. Therefore, the task of developing a single standard for modern bulletproof vest is important.

Current status and prospects of fuel cell vehicle application

With the continuous development and progress of industrial technology, the fossil fuel reserves of the earth are decreasing day by day, and it is more and more difficult to maintain the current energy demand. All sectors of the world are looking for an effective alternative to traditional energy. Hydrogen, known as the clean fuel of the 21st century, has gradually come into people's view because of its high combustion heat value and no pollution of the products after combustion. This paper discusses construction characteristics and working principle of fuel cell vehicles, to prove that the environment problems can be reduced by them. It first introduces the advantages of fuel cells, it produces almost no pollution, thus alleviating the greenhouse effect. It is of the main reasons why FCVs are becoming more and more popular. Secondly, the author also introduces the structure of fuel cell vehicles by comparing their similarities and differences with ordinary cars. The control systems of fuel cell vehicles have also been introduced.
