Against the backdrop of global industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as structural changes in the demand for skilled talent, vocational training in higher education has become a core pillar for enhancing national industrial competitiveness. Employing the methods of literature review and comparative analysis, this paper systematically compares the higher education vocational training models of China and the United States across five key dimensions: policy frameworks, training objectives, curriculum systems, industryeducation integration, and faculty development. The findings indicate that the United States has developed a decentralized model characterized by market-driven dynamics, decentralized governance, and symbiotic partnerships between educational institutions and enterprises, whereas China has established a centralized model marked by government leadership, systematic planning, and institution-centered implementation. These differences stem from the adaptive logic of distinct institutional contexts, industrial structures, and labor market characteristics. The U.S. model demonstrates strengths in market responsiveness and practical effectiveness, while the Chinese model highlights advantages in scale and equity. On this basis, the paper proposes pathways for optimizing China's vocational training model: building a dual mechanism that combines government guidance with market-driven forces, deepening modular curriculum reform, improving long-term collaborative mechanisms for industryeducation integration, and strengthening the development of "dual-qualified faculty. This study provides localized insights for the high-quality development of vocational education in China and contributes to addressing the persistent mismatch between skilled talent cultivation and industrial demand.

Amidst resource and environmental pressures, as well as the demands for sustainable development, coordinating economic growth with resource and environmental conservation has become a common challenge for nations worldwide. This study focuses on the synergistic relationship between high-quality development (HQD) and high-level protection (HLP), using Jiangsu Province as an empirical case. Through the integrated application of the coupling coordination degree model, kernel density estimation, the grey relational model, and convergence analysis, it systematically evaluates the spatiotemporal patterns, influencing factors, and evolution of regional disparities in the coupling coordination between HQD and HLP in Jiangsu from 2000 to 2023. The results indicate that the following: (1) The provincial coupling coordination level improved from 0.384 to 0.596, marking a transition from imbalance to coordination. (2) Spatially, a gradient pattern of “stronger south, weaker north” emerged, with Southern Jiangsu leading in coordination levels but exhibiting significant internal differentiation, while Northern and Central Jiangsu lagged behind yet demonstrated catch-up potential. (3) The driving mechanisms vary across regions: innovation and market forces are the primary drivers in Southern Jiangsu, whereas traditional industrial cities in Northern Jiangsu remain constrained by ecological and environmental governance. (4) The coordination levels across the province, as well as in Northern and Central Jiangsu, are tending toward convergence, with regional disparities gradually narrowing. Southern Jiangsu has entered a relatively balanced development stage. This study expands the theoretical connotation of the synergy between HQD and HLP from the perspective of natural resources, providing theoretical guidance and scientific evidence for balancing economic development with resource and environmental conservation.

High school art education is not only the core carrier of aesthetic education, but also an important part of quality education. At present, although China's high school art education has achieved a 96.8% national class opening rate (data source: the Ministry of Education's 2023 national report on the development of school art education), it still faces prominent problems such as uneven resource distribution, unbalanced teacher allocation, and rigid teaching models. As a key force in coordinating education reform, educational leadership has a direct impact on the quality of art education in terms of policy implementation, curriculum construction, resource integration and other aspects. Based on the public statistics of the Ministry of Education and the practice cases of art education in many high schools, this paper analyzes the current difficulties in the development of art education in high schools from the perspective of educational leadership, and proposes multiple paths of curriculum innovation, teacher empowerment, resource integration, evaluation reform, and digital-intelligence integration, so as to provide practical solutions for promoting the high-quality development of art education in high schools and help achieve the core goal of "educating people with aesthetics and culture".

Introduction Enhancing the total factor productivity (TFP) of forestry ecosystems is central to shifting the forestry industry toward high-quality development. This study investigates the impact of digital government initiatives on forestry ecosystem TFP to understand how digital governance can drive ecological and economic efficiency. Methods Utilizing panel data from 30 Chinese provinces between 2015 and 2022, this study employs a Dual Machine Learning (DML) model to mitigate endogeneity and estimation bias. This rigorous methodological framework allows for a precise quantitative assessment of the effects and transmission mechanisms of digital government development on forestry ecosystem TFP. Results The empirical results demonstrate three key findings: (1) The expansion of digital government significantly boosts the TFP of forestry ecosystems. (2) Mechanism analysis identifies three primary channels for this improvement: the cultivation of new quality productive forces, the upgrading of forestry industrial structures, and the simplification of operational processes. Furthermore, the broader digital economy acts as a significant positive moderator in this relationship. (3) Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the magnitude of these effects varies across regions, contingent upon local economic development levels and forest resource endowments. Discussion Based on these findings, the paper proposes policy recommendations to foster institutional innovation, accelerate digital government construction, and implement region-specific strategies. Globally, this study provides empirical evidence for the synergy between digital governance and ecological sustainability. It offers a replicable model for other nations seeking to leverage digital tools to balance economic growth with environmental conservation, thereby contributing to the advancement of global ecological civilization and sustainable development goals.

ABSTRACT This study, based on the data of Chinese listed companies from 2013 to 2024, examines the impact of high-quality development of the low-altitude economy on the patient capital structure of enterprises. Research findings indicate that the development level of low-altitude economy has a significant promoting effect on both strategic equity and relational debt, and the promoting effect on strategic equity is even stronger. The heterogeneity test further reveals that this impact presents a regional gradient characteristic, being significant in the east, local in the middle, and lagging in the west. It is particularly prominent in regulated industries, reflecting the institutional connection between strategic industries and financial resources within the system. After robustness and endogeneity tests, the conclusion remains valid.

Cross-border e-commerce, as an emerging trade format, offers new chances for optimizing industrial chains’ layout, enhancing economic resilience, and attaining high-quality development at the city level. In this context, treating the execution of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone (CBEC) as a quasi-natural experiment, this study subtly attests to how the CBEC affects urban entrepreneurship by using a difference-in-differences (DID) technique. The results exhibit that the CBEC greatly promotes urban entrepreneurship, which is supported by some robustness tests, including instrumental variable testing and placebo testing. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that in cities with more developed economies, stronger digitalization, richer cultures, sounder law rules, and better business environments, the benefit for the CBEC on entrepreneurship is more significant. Mechanism testing argues that the CBEC promotes urban entrepreneurship through talent aggregation and industrial upgrading. Precisely, the more concentrated high-quality talents are and the more advanced the industrial structure is, the higher the urban entrepreneurship. More importantly, the CBEC exhibits a spatial spillover effect on entrepreneurship, promoting local entrepreneurship while stimulating the motivation to imitate and learn in neighboring areas, thereby driving their entrepreneurship. The findings offer a viable decision-making guide for building a unified factor market and achieving regional coordinated development.

Under the dual background of innovation-driven development strategies and regional economic transformation and upgrading, the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship education in local applied universities (hereinafter referred to as "entrepreneurship and innovation education") has become a key hub linking the supply-side reform of higher education and the demand side of regional economic and social development. This article aims to go beyond the single utilitarian perspective of skills training or competition, and build a systematic and ecological theoretical framework for mass entrepreneurship and innovation education in local applied universities from the philosophical level of integrating instrumental rationality and value rationality. This framework takes "cultivating people with moral integrity and serving the region" as the core value, "multi-dimensional integration and capability advancement" as the practical path, and the collaborative symbiosis of "government, industry, academia, research and innovation" as the ecosystem support. On this basis, this article deeply analyzes the coupling interaction mechanism between the mass entrepreneurship and innovation education system and the regional economic system, and explains how the two achieve collaborative evolution and value co-creation through interdependence and mutual shaping from three dimensions: factor flow (talent, knowledge, capital), talent training collaboration, and resource integration and symbiosis. This study comprehensively uses literature analysis, theoretical deduction and system analysis methods to provide a systematic theoretical reference for deepening the reform of mass entrepreneurship education and solving the "two skins" dilemma between it and the regional economy, and to contribute academic thinking to promote the deep integration of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain.

ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence investment holds significant importance for enterprises achieving high-quality development. Existing research predominantly focuses on AI's impact on corporate innovation and production. This paper examines how AI investment influences corporate capital structure from a financing perspective. Employing text analysis, we examined annual reports of Chinese manufacturing listed companies from 2008 to 2023 to construct an AI investment indicator. The results of the study show that AI investment significantly improves the gearing ratio of enterprises. This conclusion still holds after a series of endogeneity and robustness tests. Regarding the underlying mechanism, AI investment enhances corporate indebtedness by optimizing credit resource allocation and reducing debt financing costs. Moderation effects indicate that regional business environment quality positively moderates the impact of AI investment on capital structure, while equity concentration negatively moderates this effect. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that this effect is more pronounced for enterprises located in central and eastern regions, operating in competitive industries, or classified as non-heavily polluting enterprises. This study deepens the understanding of the role AI investment plays in debt financing at the micro-firm level and provides guidance for corporate managers selecting financing methods when investing in emerging technologies.

The increasing momentum of agricultural digital transformation and green development necessitates investigations into how farmers’ digital literacy influences their engagement in green production behaviours, which is critical for achieving the high-quality development of modern agriculture. Utilising primary survey data collected from farmers in rural areas of Guizhou Province, China, this study investigated how digital literacy affects farmers’ green production behaviours. The findings are as follows: (1) Digital literacy exerts a significant positive impact on farmers’ adoption of green production behaviours. Regarding the hierarchical effect, the order of influence is as follows: digital security awareness > basic digital skills > digital application and innovation. (2) The facilitating effect of digital literacy is primarily achieved through two pathways: the peer effect and the guidance effect. (3) Farmers with higher education levels are more impacted by digital literacy than farmers with lower education levels. (4) The impact of digital literacy is more positively significant for young and older farmers than for middle-aged groups. Based on these research findings, it is recommended that future policy formulation and technology extension efforts should prioritise support for specific regions and groups, such as mountainous areas, small-scale operations, low-education backgrounds, and the elderly. Such targeted approaches are crucial for encouraging wider adoption of green production behaviours among farmers.

Abstract Using panel data from 286 prefecture-level cities in China, this study constructs a city-level digital economy index and examines its impact on carbon emissions intensity and related mechanisms. Theoretically, the digital economy can reduce carbon emissions intensity by increasing energy efficiency. The empirical findings show that: First, the digital economy reduces carbon emission intensity, and this finding still holds after robustness tests such as the selection of city-to-port distance as an instrumental variable and the “Broadband China” pilots as a quasi-natural experiment. Second, the digital economy reduces carbon emissions intensity mainly by reducing the scale of energy consumption, optimizing the energy structure, and facilitating renewable energy deployment. Third, the carbon reduction effect of the digital economy is more pronounced in western and northeastern regions, second-tier and small cities, resource-based cities and peripheral cities. Finally, further analysis shows that the digital economy can mitigate environmental inequalities. On this basis, this paper puts forward proposals to vigorously develop the digital economy and promote the integration of digital and low-carbon development, in order to provide reference and reference to promote the high-quality development of the digital economy, thus empowering carbon emission reduction and achieving the equity of environmental welfare benefits.

In the era of media dominated by visual culture, the characteristics of new media art with technology as the carrier and visual expression as the core naturally fit with the interdisciplinary nature of design. Visual culture not only reshapes the audience's perception and aesthetic logic, but also promotes the deep interweaving of new media art and design, technology, humanities and other disciplines, becoming an important driving force for breaking disciplinary barriers and promoting innovative practices. This article takes visual culture as a theoretical perspective, based on the interdisciplinary nature of new media art and the development needs of interdisciplinary design. Through literature research, interdisciplinary research, and industry practice, it explores the practical reasons, core contradictions, and practical paths for the integration of the two. Research has found that the integration of the two requires a visual cultural aesthetic consensus as the basis, building a triple mechanism of technological collaboration, aesthetic collaboration, and disciplinary collaboration, and improving the guarantee system through educational reform, industry collaboration, and policy support. This integration not only expands the boundaries and application scenarios of new media art expression, but also injects cultural connotations and innovative vitality into interdisciplinary design, ultimately promoting the high-quality development of the design industry and the diversified upgrading of cultural dissemination. The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical references for the integration of the two in practice, and to provide reference ideas for academic research and industry applications in related fields.

Based on the global goals of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" and the intelligent transformation of the automobile industry, this paper applies the SWOT framework to analyze the strategic entry of Huawei and Xiaomi into the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry. The study focuses on the differences in the strategic positioning, competitive advantages and challenges, and potential optimization paths of the two companies. The research shows that Huawei, with Information and communication technology (ICT) at its core competence, adopts the "Huawei + automaker"corporation model and positions itself as an "intelligent vehicle solution provider." Huawei emphasizes the output of Gan Kun intelligent driving systems and HarmonyOS cockpits, demonstrating strong technological research and development capabilities, while facing limited control over vehicle production and manufacturing. In contrast, Xiaomi leverages its AIoT ecosystem to directly enter vehicle manufacturing and continues its cost-performance-oriented market positioning. Xiaomi adopts a diversified strategy supported by strong marketing capabilities and effective cost control, but its development is constrained by sufficient automotive manufacturing experience and challenges in achieving breakthroughs in the high-end market. A comparative analysis of the two firms reveals that the success of tech- companies in cross-industry expansion lies in fully leveraging core strengths while making up for weaknesses through strategic cooperation. Brand-layered operations and ecosystem synergy have become important directions for the continuous development of the industry. The research enriches the literature on cross-industry strategies of technology enterprises and provides references for the strategic optimization of Huawei and Xiaomi and implications for the high-quality development of China's NEV industry.
