Educational Values Included in Story Collections for Fourth and Fifth Grade Students in Jordan

The study sought to identify the educational values (Cognitive, health, social, personal, national) included in story collection for fourth and fifth grade students in Jordan and their indicators. Another objective was to define the percentage of including these values based on school semester and grade level. An instrument was developed to answer the questions of the study. The sample of the study was all the population which was the story collection for fourth and fifth grade students starting from the school year 2017. These were (4) story collection distributing on (4) group for each grade level. The study findings indicated that educational values were all included in the story collection for both grade levels. Social values ranked first, with (35.5%) for fourth grade, and (40%) for fifth grade, while health values ranked last with (3%) for fourth grade, and (11.4%) for fifth grade. The study suggested some recommendations and the most important is to pay more attention to health values as they are a reflection of student’s awareness of the importance of health practices and their positive effect on their personal life and the surrounding environment.

The effect of a strategy based on the communicative approach in reading comprehension for tenth grade students in Jordan: أثر استراتيجية تستند للمنحى التواصلي في الاستيعاب القرائي لدى طالبات الصف العاشر الأساسي في الأردن

The study aimed to reveal the effect of a strategy based on the communicative approach in reading comprehension for tenth grade students in Jordan. To achieve the aims of the study, a test was designed to measure reading comprehension skills, and its validity and reliability were confirmed, The semi-experimental design was adopted, as the experimental group consisting of (25) students was studied according to the strategy based on the communicative approach, and the control group consisting of (25) students was studied in the usual way, The test was applied to the two groups before and after the experiment, The results of the ANCOVA analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference at (α≤05,0) between the two groups due to the strategy based on the continuous approach in improving reading comprehension, and for the benefit of the experimental group. The study recommended employing a communicative approach in teaching the Arabic language topic, and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages and with new changes.

The Impact of Social Media on Unethical Behaviors from the Perspective of the Ninth and Tenth Grade Students in Jordan

The present study aimed to explore the impact of social media on unethical behaviors from the perspective of ninth and tenth grade students in Jordan. The researchers adopted descriptive and quantitative approaches. They used a questionnaire to identify the social media platform used the most by ninth and tenth grade students in Amman and Balqa, Jordan. Through using the questionnaire, they aimed to explore the impact of social media on unethical behaviors in family and society.It was found that YouTube is the social media platform used the most by ninth and tenth grade students in Jordan. Electronic games- e.g. Pubg, Fortnite, Sims and etc..- are ranked second in this regard. Facebook is ranked third. Instagram is ranked third too. Snapchat is ranked fourth and Twitter is ranked fifth. Twitter is ranked last.It was found that social media significantly affects family and society. It was found that social media has been playing a significant role in promoting unfamiliar values in society. Social media has been promoting the use of bad words among young people. In terms of family, it was found that the prevalence of social media led to reducing the extent of interaction between family members. It was found that social media led to reducing the degree to which children interact with their family member. It was found that social media negatively affects family relationships.It was found that there are statistically significant differences –at the statistical significance level of (a=0.05)- between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to city and family income. The latter difference are for the favor of the respondents living in the city and the respondents whose family income is high.The researchers recommend holding lectures for students and parents to promote awareness about the advantages and disadvantages of using social media. Such lectures must include information about the way of using social media and organizing one’s time to use it. Effectiveness of Using the Overlapping Waves Strategy During the Teaching of Geography in Acquiring the Realistic Thinking Skills and Improving the Attitudes Toward it Among the Sixth Grade Students in Jordan

The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of using the overlapping waves strategy during the teaching of geography lessons in acquiring realistic thinking skills and improving the attitudes towards geography in a sample of sixth grade students in Jordan using the quasi-experimental method. The purposive method was used to select the study sample (n = 64) students, who were randomly assigned either to the experimental group (n = 32), taught geography lessons with the overlapping waves strategy method, or the control group (n = 32), taught geography lessons with the usual method. The Realistic Thinking Skills Test (RTT) was prepared with its three dimensions, as well as the attitudes towards Geography Scale (AGS). After verifying their validity and validity, the two instruments were applied to the sample as pre post intervention. The results of the statistical analysis indicated that there were statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) in the post test between the mean of the experimental group and the control group scores on the Realistic Thinking Skills Scale (RTS) and the Attitudes towards Geography Scale (AGS) in favor of the experimental group, indicating the efficiency of using the overlapping waves strategy used in the current study in geography teaching.

The Effectiveness of A Training Program Based on Flipped Learning Strategy in Achievement in Maths and Achievement Motivation among Seventh Grade Female Students in Jordan: أثر برنامج تدريبي قائم على استراتيجية التدريس المعكوس في التحصيل الرياضي ودافعية الإنجاز لدى طالبات الصف السابع الأساسي في الأردن

The aim of study is to investigate the effectiveness of a training program based Flipped learning strategy in the achievement in Maths and motivation of achievement among the seventh grade students in Jordan. In order to achieve the objectives of this study, a sample of (70) female seventh grade students was selected intentionally in Zahra Al Madaen School in Naor in the year ( 2017/2018). The sample was divided equally into two groups; the control group which was taught by the conventional method consisted of 35 students, the experimental group which was taught by flipped learning method also consisted of 35 students. Two tools were applied on both groups, an achievement test composed of 20 paragraphs, and a questionnaire of achievement motivation developed by Al- Youssafi (2008). In order to test the study hypotheses, the arithmetical means and standard deviations of the students' performance were obtained on the pre and posttest of the achievement test and the achievement motivation questionnaire. ANCOVA was used to find the differences between the average performance. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the means of the scores in favour of the Flipped learning strategy. The study recommends the necessity of constructing students' knowledge using the flipped learning strategy in teaching Math’s through employing different activities.

The impact of the differentiated education strategy on the level of achievement in the subject of vocational education among Tenth grade students in Jordan: أثر استراتيجية التعليم المتمايز على مستوى التحصيل في مبحث التربية المهنية لدى طالبات الصف العاشر الأساسي في الأردن

The present study aimed at identifying the effect of differentiated education strategy on the level of achievement in the subject of vocational education among the Tenth grade students in Jordan. The study adopted the semi-experimental curriculum. The tool consisted of (Achievement Test in Vocational Education), prepared by the researcher, was applied to a random sample of two divisions of the ninth grade students at the Hashemite Secondary School for Girls, affiliated to the Directorate of Education in Aqaba during the academic year 2018/2019, to Division (B) As an experimental group, it consisted of (20) female students, and Division (A) as a control group, and consisted of (20) female students. The results of the ANCOVA analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences between the students' average scores on the achievement test due to the variable of teaching method, where the control group obtained an overall average (13.03) in exchange for the experimental group obtained an overall average (17.95). In the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the training of teachers on the differentiated teaching strategy in teaching vocational education for its effectiveness in teaching and conducting studies dealing with the introduction of other teaching methods.

The study aimed to examine The Effectiveness of Instructional Program based on Constructivism Theory on Acquiring Geographical Concepts among the Ninth Grade Students in Jordan. To achieve the goals of the study، a test was designed to measure the acquisition of geographical concepts، and the researcher adopted the semi-experimental approach، as the experimental group consisting of (30) students were taught according to the educational program based on structural theory، and the control group consisting of (30) students were studied in the usual way. Apply the test to the two groups before and after the experiment. The results of analysis ANCOVA showed that there were statistically significant differences at the α05.0 level between the two groups due to the use of constructivism theory learning program. The students who received instruction based on the constructivism theory Achieved higher in acquiring geographical concepts، The study recommended the employment of the proposed educational program in the teaching of Geography and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages and using new variables.

The present study aimed to identify the effect of using the strategy of solving the mathematical problem in achievement and motivation to wards mathematics among the tenth grade students in Jordan. The study population consists of (60) students from the tenth grade. The researcher used the semi-experimental method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the test and motivation questionnaire was designed to solve the mathematical problem. The study found that the rewire statistically significant differences in the level of importance (α = 0.05) between the mean of the experimental group and the average of the control group in achievement and motivation due to the use of a strategy to solve a mathematical problem in teaching mathematics for the experimental group. Which encourage students to learn, increasing their motivation to learn, the need for teachers to use strategies to solve the problem, thereby increasing their achievement.

The purpose of this study was inquiring The effect of corporative learning Strategy in the Reading Skill Development in the arabic language for the 3rd grade students in Jordan. To achieve goals of this study, a test has been developed to observe the Development of reading skill. The researcher adopted a quasi-experimental approach in which the experimental group consisting of (30) students was taught in accordance with the corporative learning Strategy. At the same time, the controlled group consisting of (30 students) was taught in the traditional way. The tests and the motive measuring was applied prior and post- teaching on both groups. The Analysis of Covariance results (Test-t) indicated a significant difference at (α≤0.05) between the two groups, which is attributed to the corporative learning Strategy, in developing the reading skill, of Learning Arabic language Course for the experimental group. The results also indicated variation in the performance of (the experimental group) students in the corporative learning Strategy in the Reading Skill Development Where the control obtained a general average of (13.03 of 25) in comparison to the pilot on a general average (20.25 of 25) and the difference is clear for the benefit of the experimental group, and the value of ETA (2) for the post test (0.75) that is 0.75) Performance (experimental group) is a return to the cooperative learning strategy The study recommended introducing the corporative learning Strategy in the teaching of Arabic language Course, and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages.

The study aimed to identify The impact of the previous and acquired knowledge strategy (K.W.L) in the development of critical thinking skills in Arabic language among the ninth grade students in Jordan. The study was based on the semi- experimental method. The study sample consisted of two divisions of the ninth grade students in the Abdullah bin Abi Al- Sarh Secondary School for Boys, the Directorate of Education of Aqaba Governorate during the 2018/2019 academic year. (30) students, and (c) as a control group, consisting of (30) students. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the study tool was constructed (test of critical thinking skills) After verifying its validity and stability, it was applied to the study sample, before and after the study. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average of the students' scores on the critical thinking skills test due to the change in the teaching method and the previous knowledge strategy (kwl) compared to the normal method. (Kwl) in the teaching of the Arabic language, as they proved their effectiveness in teaching, and recommended studies on the introduction of other teaching methods for comparison in critical thinking skills.

The Effect of the Use of Numbering Heading Strategy in Achieving Achievement in the Study of English Language among Seventh Grade Female Students in Jordan: أثر استخدام استراتيجية الرؤوس المرقمة في تنمية التحصيل الدراسي في مبحث اللغة الإنجليزية لدى طالبات الصف السابع الأساسي في الأردن

The present study aimed at revealing the effect of teaching using the strategy of numbered headers in the development of academic achievement in the English language of the seventh grade students in Jordan. The study adopted the semi- experimental method. The tool was in the achievement test of the researcher, (A) As a pilot group, it consisted of (30) female students, and (c) as a control group. It consisted of (1) 30) Student. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students on the achievement test due to the variable of the teaching method. The control obtained a total average of (12.23) against the experimental score on the overall average (15.13) In the light of the results of the study, the study recommended the use of the strategy of heads numbered in the teaching of English language, and other studies similar in different stages of education and new variables.

The purpose of this study was inquiring The Impact of the Problem Solving Strategy on Acquiring Technology Concepts in the Computer Science of Ninth Grade Students in Jordan. The researcher adopted a quasi-experimental approach in which the experimental group consisting of (30) students was taught in accordance with Problem Solving Strategy. At the same time, the controlled group consisting of (30 students) was taught in the traditional way. The tests and the motive measuring was applied prior and post- teaching on both groups. The Analysis of Covariance results (ANCOVA) indicated a significant difference at (α≤0.05) between the two groups, which is attributed to the Problem Solving Strategy, in developing the Acquiring Concepts in Computer Science, of Computer Science Education Course for the experimental group. The results also indicated variation in the performance of (the experimental group) students in the posttest of the Problem Solving Strategy (in developing the Technology Concepts. The study recommended introducing the Problem Solving Strategy in the teaching of Computer Science Education Course, and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages.

The Extent of Inclusion (TIMSS-2019) Standards of Mathematics Book Scheduled for the Fourth Grade Students in Jordan from Maths Teachers’ Point of View for the Fourth Grade Students

This study was conducted to find out the Extent of Inclusion (TIMSS-2019) Standards of mathematics book scheduled for the Fourth Grade Students in Jordan from Maths teachers’ point of view for the Fourth Grade Students. The study sample consisted of 300 Maths teachers for the Fourth Grade Students in Mafraq governorate. This study used the descriptive methodology. To this study, the researcher has prepared a list of criteria (TIMSS-2019) to be included in the mathematics book scheduled for the Fourth Grade Students in Jordan, and then organized these standards in the form of a questionnaire consisting of two dimensions are (content and knowledge) emanates from each of them (3) domains and under them (43)  sub-standards criteria  from (School Mathematics Assessment frame work,TIMSS-2019 ).The researcher then turned this list into a questionnaire which describing the final degree of inclusion of the six areas, to find out the Extent of Inclusion Standards of mathematics book scheduled for the Fourth Grade Students in Jordan. The scale validity and reliability were verified. 
 
 The study results showed that the percentage of the Extent of Inclusion (TIMSS-2019) Standards of mathematics book scheduled for the Fourth Grade Students in Jordan from Maths teachers’ point of view for the Fourth Grade Students was medium and a general percentage of (66)%.

The purpose of this study was inquiring The impact of "Think Pair Share" Strategy on developing the writing skills in the Arabic language of the 10th grade students in Jordan. The results also indicated variation in the performance of (the experimental group) students in the "Think Pair Share" Strategy on developing the writing skills (in developing the Academic achievement. The study recommended introducing the "Think Pair Share" Strategy in the teaching of Arabic language Course, and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages.

The Effect of the Strategy of Learning by Playing on the Students' Acquisition of the Spelling Performance Skills and their Attitudes Towards it Among a Sample of Second Basic Grade Students in Jordan

This study aims at identifying the impact of the strategy of learning by playing on students' acquisition of spelling performance skills and their attitudes towards it among the second grade students in Jordan. The study sample consisted of 96 students. The results showed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the acquiring the spelling performance skills and the scale towards spelling in favor of the experimental group. The results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences due to gender in the acquiring the spelling performance skills and the scale towards spelling, and that there was no effect of interaction attitudes between group and gender.

The purpose of this study was inquiring The Impact of the reciprocal Teaching Strategy on the Development of Achievement in Islamic Education in Seventh Grade Students in Jordan. To achieve goals of this study, a test has been developed to observe the Development of Achievement. The researcher adopted a quasi- experimental approach in which the experimental group consisting of (30) students was taught in accordance with reciprocal Teaching Strategy. At the same time, the controlled group consisting of (30 students) was taught in the traditional way. The tests and the motive measuring was applied prior and post- teaching on both groups. The Analysis of Covariance results (Test- t) indicated a significant difference at (α≤0.05) between the two groups, which is attributed to the reciprocal Teaching Strategy, in developing the Acquiring Concepts in Islamic , of Learning Islamic Education Course for the experimental group. The results also indicated variation in the performance of (the experimental group) students in the posttest of the reciprocal Teaching Strategy (in developing the Academic achievement The study recommended introducing the reciprocal Teaching Strategy in the teaching of Islamic Education Course, and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages.

The impact of the previous knowledge and the acquired knowledge strategies (KWL) and the maps of the mind in acquiring scientific concepts among the sixth grade students in Jordan

The study aimed at uncovering the effect of the previous and acquired knowledge strategies (kwl), and maps of the mind in acquiring the scientific concepts in the sixth elementary students in Jordan. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher designed a test to measure the scientific concepts. (30) students according to the previous knowledge strategy (KWL), and studied the second group of 30 students according to the strategy of mind maps, and studied the control group consisting of (30) students in the usual way, and The results of the ANCOVA analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between (00.05) between the groups due to the previous and acquired knowledge strategy (k.wl), brain maps in acquiring scientific concepts, and for the benefit of the experimental groups , Which indicates the effectiveness of employing the previous and acquired knowledge strategies, and maps of the mind in acquiring scientific concepts. The study recommended the use of previous and acquired knowledge strategies, maps of the mind in teaching science, and conducting other similar studies in different educational stages.

The Effectiveness of Frayer Model on the Acquisition of the Concepts of Chemistry among 9th Grade Students in Jordan

The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Frayer model in acquiring the concepts of chemistry in the ninth grade students in Jordan, the importance of the study appears as it emphasizes the growing interest in the process of teaching concepts and learning it, and it is the unit of building the educational material and the basic brick in the educational ladder and the basis for more advanced learning, it also seeks to detect the effect of the Frayer model in the teaching of chemical concepts may raise the attention of chemistry teachers to use it in the educational process - learning. In this study, the researcher used the experimental approach and divided the sample into two groups, the experimental group that its students are exposed to the independent variable (Frayer model) when teaching chemistry, and the control group whose student is not exposed to the effect of the independent variable and is taught in the traditional way. And the results were statistically analyzed by the SPSS program; the following statistical treatments were used: the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, the equation difficulty equation, the equalization of discrimination, the equation of the effectiveness of alternatives and the equation of Spearman Brown and T-test. The results of this study showed the superiority of the female students of the experimental group which were taught using the Frayer model on female students in the control group which were taught by the conventional way of acquiring chemical concepts.
