THE EFFECT OF HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) QUALITY, E-COMMERCE ROLE, AND CAPITAL ACCESS ON MSME PERFORMANCE

This research delves into the Effect of HR Quality, E-commerce Role, and Capital Access on MSME Performance in Surakarta City. Employing a quantitative methodology, the research surveyed 97 MSME respondents selected through the Lemeshow formula, utilizing both accidental and simple random sampling techniques. Data were gathered through online questionnaires via Google Form and analyzed using SPSS version 25 through multiple linear regression. The results reveal that while the quality of human resources and the role of e-commerce do not significantly influence MSME performance, access to capital has a positive and substantial effect. These findings highlight the necessity for a stronger emphasis on financial accessibility to enhance MSME performance in Surakarta, such as offering affordable loans or flexible funding options. Although improving human resource quality and leveraging e-commerce remain vital, they must be underpinned by appropriate structural and financial mechanisms. Policymakers are encouraged to prioritize financial support systems, while MSMEs should enhance their digital marketing strategies and ensure robust technological infrastructures to facilitate effective e-commerce integration.

Growing in Leadership: Examining Professional Development Reflections and Their Impact on Doctoral Students

For this study, the researchers examined the professional development reflections written by five graduate students who took part in a two-year leadership-based program situated at a university in the United States. Data collection consisted of monthly written reflections gathered after each month in the program from September 2023 to May 2024, as well as Google Form surveys from fall 2023 and spring 2024. Open coding was utilized and findings showed four main reflection themes and the impact these monthly professional development tasks had on student learning and growth. Future research modifications will also be detailed.

Factors Leading to Educational Centers' Closure in Jalalabad City, Afghanistan

The study aims to identify the root causes of educational center closures, assess the impact of this problem on society, and provide practical solutions to develop these centers and strengthen long-term learning. The study found that 75.8% of participants blamed financial issues for educational center closures. Additionally, 57.6% pointed to government problems, 54.5% to poor management, and 42.4% to lack of skills. Other factors included location (28.8%), legal issues (28.8%), curriculum (21.2%), co-education (21.2%), social diversity (21.2%), natural disasters (13.6%), safety (13.6%), sabotage (9.1%), and accidents (6.1%). This Mixed-Methods Research utilized purposive sampling to select educational center managers as respondents. A Google Form questionnaire was created and shared via email and WhatsApp. After distribution, 66 responses were collected. The data underwent content analysis, with results shown in the figures below, using system theory to highlight key themes. The study emphasizes the need for multifaceted measures to address the root causes of closures. Economic stability, political stability, providing financial support, and encouraging community participation are essential for the developing of educational centers. The results also point to the importance of long-term strategies to protect education in conflict-affected areas. The study recommends creating a safe learning environment, providing financial resources to struggling educational centers, and launching public awareness campaigns to gain community support. In addition, cooperation between the government and international organizations can enhance the capacity of local authorities to overcome the ongoing challenges. If these measures are effectively implemented, access to education will be restored and sustainable development will occur in Jalalabad city.

The Impact of Business Intelligence Systems in Reducing the Risks of Electronic Accounting Information Systems: The Modifying Role of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems A Field Study: Jordanian Telecommunications and Information Technology Companies

This study aimed to identify the impact of business intelligence systems with their various elements (collection, analysis, and storage of data; adequacy of strategic techniques; business performance management; and competitive intelligence) in reducing the risks of electronic accounting information systems in Jordanian telecommunications and information technology companies, and the study also aimed to identify the role of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in determining the relationship between business intelligence systems and electronic accounting information systems in the surveyed companies. The study population consisted of all Jordanian telecommunication and information technology companies, which numbered (65) companies, where the purposeful sample method was used by publishing an electronic questionnaire (online questionnaire) via the Google Form website, addressed to financial managers, their assistants, department heads and supervisors, and (217) responses were received. The data was subjected to statistical analysis. The study found that business intelligence systems with their various elements reduce the risks of electronic accounting information systems in Jordanian telecommunications and information technology companies, and the study also found that business intelligence systems with their combined elements reduce the risks of electronic accounting information systems with the presence of enterprise resource planning systems as a modifying variable in the companies investigated. The study recommended that telecommunication and information technology companies focus on providing qualified integrated teams with the ability to receive the service and implement the ERP system efficiently.

FACTORS DETERMINING INTENTION TO USE DIGITAL WALLET IN NEPAL

This research aims to identify the determining factors that significantly affect the intention to use a digital wallet. A structured questionnaire was prepared which was sent through the printed form as well as through Google form to 365 respondents where 340 were used. The data were collected through a five-point Likert scale, with participants selecting a non-probability sampling technique using purposive sampling. The descriptive analysis shows that e-Sewa and Khalti are the most popular digital wallet services. The adoption of the digital wallet is the highest in male users between the ages of 21 to 30 years. Among the all variables perceived ease of use and intention to use of digital wallet have the highest positive correlation 0.736, whereas service quality and intention to use of digital wallet have the least positive correlation 0.262. The results of the regression analysis, the intention to use digital wallets is significantly predicted by perceived usefulness (PU) and ease of use (PE), both of which have favorable effects. However, information quality (IQ), system quality (SQ), and service quality (SQ) do not substantially affect the intention to use as their p-values are higher than 0.05. A summary of the study's useful implications for businesses, governments, and digital wallet service providers. Therefore, digital wallet companies must focus on continuously enhancing these aspects to positively influence the intention to use a digital wallet.

A Cross-sectional Study on Stress and Burnout among the AYUSH Doctors in an Eastern Indian State during the COVID Pandemic

Background: Health care workers were at the forefront of the COVID battle. They experienced professional burnout due to long working hours in hospitals, being away from their families, the fear of getting infected and transmitting the infection to family members, and social stigma in society. Objective: The main objective of this study was to assess the stress and burnout experienced by AYUSH doctors during the COVID-19 pandemic in Odisha. Methods: A concurrent mixed-methods cross-sectional study design was adopted for this study. A Google form was used to gather responses from 56 AYUSH doctors using the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI), preceded by in-depth interviews with 11 participants. Descriptive statistics and two-way ANOVA analyses were applied to the quantitative data, while thematic analysis was conducted for the qualitative data. Results: The in-depth interviews with AYUSH doctors revealed that 63.63% of the participants felt physically and mentally exhausted and susceptible to weakness and illness, including fear of infection; 45.45% felt frustrated; and 18.18% of respondents expressed irritation, stating that they could not endure the situation any longer and felt they were giving much while not receiving what they expected in return. Similarly, the online survey indicated that the mean (±SD) scores of personal, work-related, and COVID patient-related burnout were 49.55 (±25.51), 41.45 (±33.15), and 43.22 (±35.72), respectively. Although the average personal burnout was higher than work-related and patient care-related burnout, the difference was not statistically significant at p=0.5 when tested using two-way ANOVA. Conclusion: The AYUSH doctors experienced stress and burnout during the pandemic; however, most felt that this was part of their job and continued to provide services during the pandemic.

This research aims to find out how much influence Advertising Attractiveness (DTI), Competitive Prices (HK) and Consumer Purchase Interest (MBK) have on Purchasing Decisions (KP) for Indomie Products. The population used in this research is consumers who have accessed the Shopee application. The sample in this study was 100 respondents using the Non-Probability Sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach (sampling based on certain criteria, with the criteria being that respondents had purchased Indomie after seeing the advertisement. Data was taken using a questionnaire via Google Form, after the questionnaire results were collected then Data was tabulated using MS Excel and analyzed using SPSS version 29. Determining Consumers' Ecological Footprint Awareness Within the Scope of SDG 12: a Study on University Students

Objective: The aim of the study is to determine the level of knowledge and awareness of university students about ecological footprint within the scope of SDG 12. Theoretical Framework: Ecological footprint, which has an important place in environmental sustainability and protection of natural resources, is an indicator that measures the impact of individuals on natural resources. In the related literature, it is emphasized that individuals' knowledge and awareness of ecological footprint is one of the main factors affecting their environmental attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, increasing awareness of ecological footprint will contribute to the development of environmental awareness and the adoption of sustainable lifestyles. Method: An ecological footprint scale consisting of five dimensions: food, transportation and housing, energy, waste and water consumption was used. Data were collected from 314 university students through an online questionnaire using Google Form. With the SPSS 20 program, Independent Samples T-Test and ANOVA tests were applied to determine whether the ecological footprint knowledge and awareness levels of the students differed according to gender and year of birth. Results and Discussion: As a result of the analyzes, the sub-dimensions with the highest ecological footprint awareness were “Water Consumption” and “Wastes”. The dimension with the lowest awareness is the “Food” sub-dimension. As a result of the independent samples t-test, women's awareness was higher than men's for all dimensions. According to the birth years of the students, there was a significant difference only for the transportation and accommodation sub-dimension. The ecological footprint awareness of those born in 1999-1990 is higher than those born in 1989-1980. Research Implications: The findings of this study will enable the university to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental education programs. In this context, various strategies can be developed to increase students' knowledge and awareness of ecological footprint. In the future, conducting future studies with more students in different universities can provide broad generalizations on this issue. Originality/Value: The results of the study will provide an important basis for the development of future educational policies and awareness-raising strategies in the field of environmental sustainability. In this respect, the research is valuable not only for the academic literature but also for providing practical suggestions for promoting environmentally friendly behaviors.

Peran Keterlibatan Pegawai Dalam Pengaruh Kenyamanan Lingkungan Kerja, Komunikasi Dan Manajemen Waktu Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Di Lingkungan Pemerintah Provinsi Kepulauan Riau

Research aim: This finding can provide a purpose for interpreting the determination of employee involvement in the influence of work environment comfort, communication, and time management on employee performance. Methode: This finding uses primary data. Respondents were selected by an accidental sampling technique, namely by giving questionnaires in the form of Google Forms to respondents and making them accessible to researchers based on predetermined criteria. Research Finding: The findings interpret that the workplace environment may have little impact on productivity but that effective communication and time management are likely to have wide-ranging benefits for the organization. Theoretical contribution: This research contributes to the human resource management literature by showing that time management and employee engagement significantly impact employee performance. The findings strengthen existing theories and offer a new perspective by integrating both concepts within the theoretical framework. By emphasizing the role of time management as a driver of employee engagement, this study provides deeper insights into the relationship between time management, engagement, and performance and opens up opportunities for further research in this area. Practitionel implication: Organizations should implement a structured and regular performance evaluation system to provide necessary employee feedback. In addition, training on time management and effective communication should be provided to enhance employee engagement. Establishing a comfortable working environment and a culture of open communication will encourage active employee participation. Monitoring and following up on employee satisfaction and implementing a reward system for outstanding employees are also critical. Organizations can improve employee performance and create a positive work culture with these measures. Research limitation: This research has several limitations. Among them, the research focuses only on the State’s Civil Apparatus in the Riau Islands Provincial Government, so the findings may not be generalizable to other sectors or locations. Then, the use of questionnaires as a data collection method may cause respondent bias, which may affect the accuracy of the results. Furthermore, this study did not consider other external factors that may affect employee performance, such as economic conditions or applicable government policies.

Analisis Efektivitas Aplikasi Drops dalam Meningkatkan Penguasaan Kosakata Bahasa Jepang pada Pemula

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Drops app in improving Japanese vocabulary acquisition among beginners. Based on the theory of cognitivism, the study used a descriptive qualitative method with a sample of 21 subjects who answered 11 questions through a Google Form survey. Results showed that the use of Drops significantly increased the average vocabulary score by 43 % (from 28.5 to 40.7), which was influenced by the integration of gamification features and spaced repetition mechanism in the application. The majority of respondents (76 %) reported high satisfaction with ease of use, learning motivation, and effectiveness of visual illustrations, consistent with previous research on audiovisual and gamification-based mobile apps. However, about 24 % of respondents recorded medium to low scores on motivational aspects and interface appearance, indicating the need for UX/UI enhancements to expand adoption. Demographic statistics revealed the average age of respondents to be 18.38 years (Q1=17; median=18; Q3=20), confirming that teenagers and pre-adults are the main group of Drops users. The findings provide recommendations for both language education practitioners and app developers to optimize design and features to maximize vocabulary learning effectiveness.

The Preavelance of Musculoskeletal Pain in Computer Workers

Introduction Minor physical limitations are a term used to describe musculoskeletal diseases (MSDs). The most common cause of back discomfort and muscle spasms is improper seating, which damages the cervical spine and the muscles in the neck.[1] It has been proven that there are a number of physical, psychological, and psychophysical occupational risk factors. High forces, high repetition, working with arms aloft, and prolonged static postures are examples of physical risk factors that are well recognized.[2] We hypothesis that work related musculoskeletal pain is prevalent in computer workers. The objective of this study is to evaluate the musculoskeletal pain in Computer Workers and aims to find its prevalence.  Methodology This observational cross-sectional study involved 100 Computer workers from 30-60 years. The participants who were willing to participate filled Google form consisting of questions related to painful joints and work profile. The response to questionnaire filled by respective participants, was statistically analysed.  Results In this study males and females with mean age of 36.85+/- 6.21 were included. Total of 81% participants experienced pain while working on computer. Maximum pain was experienced in low back followed by neck. According to them attaining work postures for long duration was the pain aggravating factor.  Conclusion The study concluded that the job leads to neck and low back pain who are using computer. Non-adherence to prolonged sitting, the insufficient practice of physiotherapy, and undergoing work from home were associated with high low back and neck pain.

Pengaruh Variasi Menu, Cita Rasa dan Harga terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen Dimediasi oleh Kualitas Pelayanan

Along with the development of the era, many hotels and restaurants have sprung up both in big cities and in small towns. Thus, it can be seen that the business sector has become an arena of fierce and never-ending competition. The increasing establishment of restaurants in various places is the result of increasing market demand. Understanding the elements that influence the level of customer satisfaction is important. The purpose of this study is to explain how the influence of menu variation, taste and price on consumer satisfaction mediated by service quality. This study uses the theory of Planned Behavior with a sample size of 100 people and uses a purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study was carried out using a questionnaire method via google form. The data analysis technique used in this study is SEM-PLS. The results of the study showed that the menu, taste, price have a significant effect on service quality, taste, price and service quality have a significant effect on consumer satisfaction while the menu does not have a significant effect on waiter satisfaction. Taste and price have a significant effect on consumer satisfaction through service quality as mediation, while the menu does not affect consumer satisfaction mediated by service quality. Situation analysis of the social enterprises engaged in refractive error services delivery in Kenya

AimTo conduct a situational analysis of the social enterprises (SEs) engaged in refractive error services delivery in Kenya.MethodsThis was a sequential mixed method study conducted with commercial enterprises (CE), eye care professional’s representatives from the Ministry of Health ophthalmic service unit and representatives from SEs. The study was undertaken in two phases with phase one aimed at identifying the SEs while phase two aimed at exploring the SEs. The participants were recruited purposively and through snowball sampling with data collected telephonically and through online Google form survey. The qualitative data was collected until thematic saturation was achieved. The descriptive data was presented in figures, as well as reported in terms of frequencies.ResultsOut of the 196 (28%) CE, only 49 (7.1%) reported referral and vision screening as some of the support they provide to SEs. The key barrier to SE integration into refractive error service delivery in conjunction with other eye care providers in Kenya, was lack of awareness on SE (n = 12; 41.4%) while cash flow was noted as the least cited barrier to SEs integration (n = 2; 13.8%). Reasons for the success of SE in the broader eye health ecosystem constituted mission, leadership skills and creativity. Policy regulation reported by the SE representatives (n = 14; 48.3%) was the key factor influencing the operations of SEs in Kenya. Factors negatively influencing integration of SE into refractive error service delivery in Kenya were categorized into unhealthy competition, inadequate human resources, predator SE (n = 19; 65.5%) and lack of proper policy regulation. Partnership, technology, cross-subsidization and skills development were identified as ideal for SE integration.ConclusionThis study found that SEs are worthy for integration into the eye health ecosystem to complement the dominant CE for effective refractive error service delivery. However, establishment of policies recognizing SEs and integration into the eye health ecosystem is desirable to address the challenges experienced by the SEs.

AI in Diabetes Prediction and Management

Abstract: The increasing awareness of health and wellness has prompted extensive research on the impact of diet, physical activity, and lifestyle choices on overall well-being. This study aims to analyze health-related trends using a survey-based dataset, collected through a structured Google Form. The survey included demographic details (age, gender, occupation, height, weight) and lifestyle-related factors such as dietary habits, exercise frequency, and daily routines. The responses were visualized using pie charts to identify trends among different groups. To extract meaningful insights, the collected data underwent preprocessing—removal of inconsistencies, handling of missing values, and transformation of categorical responses into numerical values for machine learning analysis. Various machine learning models, including Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Neural Networks (MLP), were trained to classify health risk levels based on survey responses. Among these, the Random Forest model achieved the highest accuracy (89.4%), outperforming other models in terms of precision (0.88), recall (0.87), and F1-score (0.87). The Neural Network (MLP) also exhibited strong performance with 87.2% accuracy and a high AUC-ROC score of 0.90, indicating its reliability for predictive health analytics. This research emphasizes the importance of data-driven health assessments and the effectiveness of machine learning in analyzing lifestyle factors. Future work can extend this study by incorporating real-time health tracking, larger datasets, and deep learning models for enhanced predictive accuracy.

The Determinants of Intention to Adopt Buy Now Pay Later Services By Sri Lankan Consumers

This quantitative research study conducted in the field of the latest fintech service of Buy Now Pay Later services was completed with the aim of solving the research problem of ‘Lack of research on BNPL services and factors influencing its adoption in the Sri Lankan context’ since these services are beneficial to both the consumers and merchants involved in the process, especially in a developing country like Sri Lanka. In order to solve this research problem, research question of ‘In what way does perceived usefulness, social influence, and financial literacy affect the intention to adopt Buy Now Pay Later services?’ was developed, which ultimately created the research objective of ‘Identifying the effect of perceived usefulness, social influence, and financial literacy on the intention to adopt Buy Now Pay Later services’ under this research study. The study employed a deductive and quantitative research approach, collecting primary data via a Google Form questionnaire using the snowball sampling technique, and analysing it with SPSS software. In the Data Analysis chapter, it was proven that the collected data was reliable, and the independent variables; Perceived Usefulness, Social Influence , and Financial Literacy and dependent variable; Intention to Adopt Buy Now Pay Later Services got a positive relationship, and the developed hypotheses were accepted by conducting the main analysis of reliability analysis, Pearsons correlation analysis, and the regression analysis respectively. The research study concludes with key implications on managers, society and theory. These findings can be used to promote BNPL services and to improve the financial systems, provide easy access to consumer credit and to boost sales and revenue ultimately enhancing the quality of life.

The Service Quality Effect of McDonald’s Self-Service Technology towards Customer Loyalty: A Cognition Affective Behavior Theory Approach

Self-service technology (SST) is a technological interface that allows customers to obtain services independently. SST includes self-checkout machines, food or ticket ordering kiosks, internet services, automated gas stations, and others. The adoption of SST has been an endeavor for firms to improve service quality, enhance operational efficiency, and increase the likelihood of achieving competitive advantage gains. However, empirical evidence is needed to better understand customer expectations of SST service quality and how SST service quality impacts customer loyalty. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine SST service quality and its impact on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. This study adopts the quantitative method and the self-service technology service quality (SSTQUAL) framework and cognition affective behavior theory. Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires via google form with a purposive sampling technique, namely the target respondents were SST users at McDonald's aged 18 to 55 years. The results of the questionnaire collection obtained 285 data analyzed by partial least squares-structural equation model (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 4 tools. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, 4 hypotheses were accepted. Self-service technology service quality variables are influenced by 5 quality dimensions such as functionality, enjoyment, assurance, design, and convenience. In addition, the self-service technology service quality variable has a positive influence on the customer satisfaction variable, which in turn positively affects customer loyalty. In other words, the service quality of self-service technology has a positive effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction.

Antecedent effect of the service quality dimension on customer satisfaction on word of mouth (Study on Perumdam Maruang Duhung)

This study aims to analyze how much the antecedent of the service quality dimension on customer satisfaction affects word of mouth. This research was conducted on Perumdam customers domiciled in Kuala Kurun, with a sample of 80 respondents determined through predetermined criteria. Data collection was carried out by sharing questionnaires through Google forms. This study uses the analysis of the Partial Least Squares (PLS) model to evaluate the relationship between variables. The results show that the variables of assurance, reliability, and empathy have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, the variables of tangibles and responsiveness did not have a significant effect on satisfaction. For the customer satisfaction variable, it has a significant influence on word of mouth. This study highlights the important role of the service quality dimension on customer satisfaction so that it has an impact on providing positive comments.

Surgical consent, perception of the patients who underwent a surgical operation in the Kurdistan region, Iraq

IntroductionPatient satisfaction is a significant measure of healthcare service quality as the patient is the center of any surgical procedure. Patient satisfaction refers to the extent to which a patient’s expectations of optimal care align with their perception of the care received. Patient satisfaction during informed consent is enhanced when written informed consent is accompanied by verbal consent in the preoperative period. Satisfied patients are more inclined to adhere to therapy, engage actively in their care, utilize healthcare services, willingly partake in decision-making, and remain with a healthcare provider. This research examines the practical and ethical considerations of obtaining informed consent during surgical procedures. To better understand and make informed decisions, this study aims to assess the efficacy of present consent methods and pinpoint obstacles patients encounter.MethodologyA cross-sectional study was conducted from April to December 2024. Data were gathered by second-year students from Koya University’s Faculty of General Medicine by interviewing postoperative patients who had undergone general surgical procedures. The results were entered into a Google form and analyzed using SPSS27.ResultsIn interviews with participants, 430 out of 572 patients (75%) indicated trust in their surgeons performing the surgery, while 525 patients (91%) expressed respect for their surgeons’ opinions. However, 41% (239 patients) reported not reading the informed consent form, and a similar percentage denied that the details of the form were explained by the medical staff responsible for the surgery as there are some medical terms or situations in the form that are challenging to assume if not explained.ConclusionCompared to others, participants with a higher educational level sought extensive time from the responsible surgeons to discuss every detail of the surgery before signing the informed consent, with a statistically significant difference observed. A similar difference was noted between private and public hospitals.

PENGARUH JOB PORTAL DAN PERSEPSI PENCARI KERJA TERHADAP MINAT MELAMAR PEKERJAAN DI KOTA TANGERANG

The purpose of this research is to carry out an analysis and determine the magnitude of the influence of the Job Portal variable and the job seeker's perception variable on the interest variable in applying for a job in Tangerang City. Technological developments are increasingly advanced and growing rapidly, making it easier for job seekers to search for work online by utilizing Job Portals such as JobStreet. In the research that has been carried out, using quantitative methods to test hypotheses through multiple linear regression analysis is carried out in order to know and understand the magnitude of the influence of the independent variables, namely the Job Portal and perceptions of job seekers, on the dependent variable, namely interest in applying for jobs. The data collection process used a questionnaire via Google Form and distributed online to 96 respondents in Jatiuwung District, Tangerang City. From previous research, the research results explain that there is or is a significant and positive influence from the Job Portal variable and the job seeker's perception variable on the interest variable in applying for a job. The regression coefficient for Job Portal is -0.70, indicating that there is a negative influence on the Interest in Applying for a Job variable, while for the job seeker perception variable it is 1.214, indicating that it has a positive influence. Meanwhile, the results of the F Test indicate that the combination of these two variables simultaneously or as a whole influences the variable interest in applying for a job with a calculated F value of 544.749 and a significant level of 0.000. Based on the variables that have been studied, the R Square value is 0.920, indicating that there is 92% variation in interest in applying for jobs. Meanwhile, the remaining 8 percent of the variations are influenced by other components and are not explained or discussed in this research.
