Cu, Ce and Er doped LiBaF3 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized for the first time using the co-precipitation method. The shape and size of NPs were optimized by varying both the precursors concentration and the amount of Brij 35 surfactant. Broad photoluminescence (PL) emission spectra peaking around 400 nm were obtained for three fabricated samples. Thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of the produced phosphors were investigated under gamma irradiation by 60Co source. The Tm-Tstop method was utilized to identify the number of component TL glow peaks in the complex glow curve. A computerized TL glow curve deconvolution procedure based on a general order glow curve deconvolution function was used to deconvolve the glow curve and extract the kinetic parameters of each glow peak. Other TL properties are also studied and discussed.
