The article deals with the peculiarities of the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture’s educational environment influence on the process of a valuable attitude towards the students’ work as future builders forming. The factors of the work attitude formation, which are conditionally divided into objective and subjective, are named. Objective factors are employeeindependent prerequisites for work, connected with the productive and non-productive environments’ pecularities. They are general, such as socio-economical conditions of employment, and specific (these are the circumstances and conditions of specific employment, the content, conditions, organization and remuneration, socio-psychological climate, independence of activity, etc.). Subjective factors are a kind of external conditions reflection in the mind and psyche of an employee, depending on his individual characteristics (previous experience, general and professional culture, psychological, demographic and socially determined personality traits: gender, age, education, work experience, abilities, inclinations, the degree of awareness of the importance of their work, the need for it, etc.). The article points out that the determining factor in the work attitude formation is motivation that shapes certain work behavior. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the attitude to work as one of the fundamental values of any society is also one of the dominant factors that influence the professional self-determination of the individual. Choosing a profession, refining in it, the person imagines the very work related to a particular profession, so we can say that, in a professional self-determination, the individual chooses one or another type of activity. Attitude to a particular job or work as a whole is thus an important factor in professional self-determination. The author notes that the valuable work attitude is an important component of the personal education content; it implies an awareness of the social importance of work, a developed need for labor activity, initiative, a propensity for entrepreneurship; understanding of economic laws and problems of society and their means of solving, readiness for creative activity, competitiveness and self-realization in the conditions of market relations and diligence formation.
