Family and work have been two fundamental values of humanity since ancient times. Building a career and/or a family life, taking parents roles need to assume different responsibilities. Functioning between these two environments requires an awareness and prioritization of the values, time and roles assumed. In this paper we focused on the examination of roles, working time and dual (dis)functionalities between work and family environments, the prioritization of them in Old Testament. In my examination I used qualitative methodology: through Biblical document analyses I designed a family case study and I examined the dual roles and the functionality of Moses in the time of the exodus of Israel people from Egypt.
