In Assam and throughout our nation, seventy percent of the population resides in rural areas. A sizable portion of them are below the poverty line. Their socio-economic situation needs to be improved immediately to benefit the nation. Supporting these individuals financially, particularly women, is the only way to lessen poverty. To help the rural population grow, the Assamese government runs several innovative initiatives. In this regard, the establishment of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) has been a major factor in both economic growth and poverty reduction. The government gives loans to these groups or other financial assistance so that they can invest the money and improve their socio-economic standing. Nowadays, the majority of rural residents find it effective and responsive. The purpose of this study is to determine the usefulness of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and the connection between these organizations and rural economic growth in Assamese communities.

ABSTRACTThe role of blue economy and green economy factors in economic growth is promising and multifaceted. Pakistan has enormous potential for maritime and green economy factors; however, not enough attention has been given to the role of green and maritime practices in the economic growth in Pakistan. Therefore, to fill this significant literature gap, the current study aims to empirically estimate the significance of the blue economy and green economy factors in promoting economic growth over the 1990–2019 period. More specifically, the study explores the role of fish production, aquaculture production, renewable energy, and green innovations in economic growth in Pakistan. For empirical estimation, the ARDL Bound Testing approach is used in the study. The findings confirm that blue economy factors and green economy factors significantly contribute to economic growth in Pakistan. For robustness check, dynamic OLS (DOLS) and fully modified OLS (FMOLS) are used, and the findings of both estimations prove the validity of the ARDL long‐run estimation. The findings of the blue economy and green economy factors are useful for policy implications which can help achieve higher economic growth in Pakistan.

In an increasingly complex and dynamic business environment, Corporate Governance and Strategic Leadership is the main factor in encouraging Economic Growth, Market Stability , and Organizational Performance. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between these variables and identify the role of strategic leadership and corporate governance in creating economic and market stability. This research uses the method Structural Equation Modeling based Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) by analyzing data from 100 participants ranging from middle level managers to senior executives. The research results show that Strategic Leadership has a significant positive influence on Economic Growth And Market Stability, whereas Corporate Governance actually shows a negative influence on these two variables. This could indicate underlying issues in the implementation of governance practices, such as lack of transparency, inefficiency in decision-making processes, or failure to address local market dynamics. Besides that, Market Stability has a greater impact on Organizational Performance compared with Economic Growth, which shows that market stability plays an important role in supporting organizational sustainability. Although this model provides strong empirical insight, value R-square A low level indicates that there are still other factors that need to be considered in improving organizational performance. As a future job (future work), this research recommends exploring additional variables such as technological innovation, government policy, as well as organizational culture factors to improve model predictions and expand understanding of the dynamics of economic growth and market stability.

Over the years, Ghana’s macroeconomic frameworks have led to slow economic growth. This necessitates the revision of policies for macroeconomic control and the pursuit of pragmatic policies that enhance economic growth, which policymakers should prioritize when framing economic plans. This paper aims to explore the impact of key economic growth factors, such as tax revenue on economic growth in Ghana and the interactive effect of inflation on economic growth. We have used the methods of explanatory research and quantitative approaches to analyze the historical economic data for Ghana. This study examines the nexus between tax revenue and economic growth. In addition, it examines the multiplicative role of inflation in the relationship between tax revenue and economic growth in Ghana. The study uses secondary time series data collected for 19 years from 2005–2023 and employs the autoregressive distributed lag testing to cointegration estimation technique to analyze tax revenue growth, economic growth, foreign direct investment, policy rate, inflation, and government expenditure. The results showed that the tax revenue growth rate has a statistically significant positive relationship with economic growth in both the short and long run. In addition, the study revealed a statistically significant negative moderating effect of inflation in the relationship between tax revenue growth and economic growth in both the interim period and the long run. It was revealed that the impact of tax revenue on economic growth is more intense in the short run than in the long run.The key conclusion of the paper is that a rise in tax revenue facilitates economic growth more in the short run than in the long run in Ghana. Additionally, the rising cost of goods and services dampens economic growth, and inflation diminishes the enhancing effect of tax revenue on economic growth.

BackgroundGlobally and regionally, nations are going through a period of important changes determined by the climate and environmental challenges in the context of the transition towards green economy, by the energy crisis caused by the Russian–Ukrainian war started in 2022, as well as the economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemics, which all affect economic growth. Providing a sustainable development capable of contributing to the increase of welfare and life longevity requires high rates of economic growth as well as a healthy living environment. At present, boosting the transition to the green economy is considered as an alternative. Based on a multivariable linear regression model, this study aims to analyze the connection and influence of five macroeconomic indicators, on Romania’s economic growth over a period of 16 years (2006–2021), where the indicators are considered to be representative for green economy.ResultsThe results pinpoint both the existence of a positive and long-term relation among the total greenhouse gas emissions, the value of the production of environmental goods and services, the total environmental taxes and real GDP, and the negative impact of the total generation of renewable electricity and investments for environmental protection upon real GDP. These results provide a relevant picture of the complex interdependences between the environmental indicators and economic growth, amid the significant challenges determined by the implementation of sustainability strategies.ConclusionsRomania’s transition towards green economy not only represents an initiative based on the obligations resulting from joining the European Union’s Green Agenda, but also results from acknowledging the consequences of climate change; in accordance, our analysis intends to empower policy makers in intensifying the current levels of the total generation of renewable energy and the investments for environmental protection, so that these might reach the thresholds required to transform them into decisive factors of economic growth.

A comprehensive analysis is performed on the relationship between key macroeconomic variables and the inflation rate, with particular emphasis on the effects of money supply growth, economic growth, and the levels of imports and exports across 39 countries. The aim is to provide empirical insights into the factors influencing inflation dynamics and to enhance understanding of their varying impacts in different national contexts. The investigation covers 5 Latin American countries, 2 Western Balkan countries, 13 European countries, 8 Asian countries, 11 African countries, and Australia, spanning a 23-year period from 2000 to 2023. The econometric techniques used for this investigation include Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Fixed and Random Effects Regression, and Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) for dynamic panel data. The study finds that inflation persists over time, with broad money supply being the most significant predictor, particularly in Latin America and developing regions. Economic growth and trade factors have varying effects, with imports reducing inflation and exports lowering inflation more in Europe and Asia, while regional differences show higher inflation volatility in Latin America and Africa. Building on these findings, it is imperative to manage the money supply rigorously in developing regions, prioritize export-driven trade policies in Europe and Asia, and implement robust counter-cyclical measures in countries experiencing growth-related inflation. Effective inflation control demands tailored, region-specific strategies that address the unique economic challenges of each area.

The article assesses international initiatives in the field of sustainable development, environmental safety and stages of creating integrated water resources management system, including in agriculture. Water shortage acts as a limiting factor for technological processes and balanced economic growth. The goal is to justify the importance of ecosystem approach to the methodology of hydrosphere formation, develop proposals for improving methods of regulating ecosystem services for the purpose of dynamic progressive movement and stabilization of ecological balance. Methods - analysis of scientific publications, reports and regulatory documents, principles of rational nature management using mathematical modeling to predict the effectiveness of ecosystem strategy for regulating water supply. Results - the study revealed the most significant limitations in the rules for building ecosystems and coordinating interaction of their participants in the republic, including low level of awareness of government agencies and stakeholders in the importance of environmental safety, as well as imperfection of legal and institutional frameworks necessary for integration of ecosystem patterns. Conclusions - the proposed strategic model aimed at forming organizational structures, expanding monitoring and interaction of target financial mechanisms helps to overcome existing barriers. The implementation of such measures will improve water quality, preserve biodiversity and ensure long-term ecological balance, especially in the context of climate change and increasing pressure on water resources, including agricultural production. The water management complex, the level of flooding, uninterrupted and sufficiency of water supply to agricultural sector, the state of water bodies, reliability of forecasting water management situations, and minimizing damage determine socio-economic sustainability in rural areas.

In theory, the main factors of economic growth are labor and capital. The importance of the structural characteristic of the economic system is not denied by any economist, but this factor is usually not taken into account in models using homogeneous macro-production functions. Soviet economic growth is poorly described with their help, so researchers, as a rule, adjust statistics "to the model". The purpose of the work is to analyze Soviet growth as a structural transformation and deepening of the concepts of catch-up development and the second industrial revolution. Lenin's phrase "communism – Soviet power plus electrification of the entire country" is an illustration of the idea of catch-up development. The development of new technologies in the state of workers and peasants is identical to "building socialism". Otherwise, the combination of energy production technology and political regime looks like a strange oxymoron. The statistical test conducted did not reveal any relationship between the volumes of capital (fixed assets) and national income over a long period (1924–1987), however, the relationship between labor costs and income is strong and positive. Nevertheless, in the period of 1965–1987, the relationship between costs and income corresponds to classical concepts. An attempt to calculate the Solow residual and explain the nature of Soviet economic growth with its help was also unsuccessful. In this regard, a hypothesis was put forward that the main factor of growth was a structural shift in employment: workers moved from a less productive sector to a more productive one. Two-sector models describing the industrialization process have long been used in economic science. However, in relation to the USSR, we used a simulation mechanism based on the economic dynamics of J. Forrester. The model was calibrated, and the results obtained showed a high degree of reliability.

There is a change in technological patterns in the world, a transition to the sixth technological order, and the main global trends in the development of high technologies have been identified. Innovation is still a key factor in technological development and economic growth. Innovation does not generate new value, but redistributes it, but in the process of its «templating», the consumption of innovation becomes part of the newly produced value, and this stage becomes a source of economic dynamics. The choice of priorities for innovative development depends on the level of innovation and industrial and technological development. The logical-theoretical method, comparative analysis, generalization, and statistical method were used in the work. The article examines the current innovative and technological situation in Kazakhstan in the context of changing technological patterns. The content of the main technological directions allocated by the state as priorities along the path of innovative and technological development of the country is revealed. The world trends in the development of high technologies, factors of innovative development are presented. Startups funded by a domestic venture fund are considered. Recommendations for the implementation of innovative development are proposed, which include strengthening investment and innovation activity. Measures are allocated for the implementation of the National Development Plan of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2029. Keywords: technological structure, National Development Plan of the country, innovative and technological development, startups, venture fund, economic growth, investment and innovation activity.

The orientation of the modern economy towards sustainability is imperative for shaping the economic systems of the future. This research paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the fundamental underpinnings and provides an eco-economic overview of the Doughnut model. The essence of this academic endeavor revolves around the model’s analytical approach to pivotal economic indicators, including GDP, economic growth, and environmental factors. The model’s central objective is to address income inequality, which remains despite GDP growth, with affluent segments benefiting more, as indicated by the Gini coefficient. A historical analysis from 1820 to 2020 shows fluctuations in this coefficient, peaking in 1910 and 2000 and decreasing to 0.67 by 2020. The Doughnut model’s critique of GDP and economic growth, while facing opposition from traditional economic theory, requires a comprehensive economic evaluation through an examination of development experiences in selected countries to bridge the gap between theory and practice for potential adoption as an economic framework. This exploration of the innovative Doughnut economic model significantly enriches the ongoing strategic discourse aimed at steering society towards a sustainable future.

Introduction. In Ukraine, despite martial law, global, regional, and national turbulence, successful reforms of the public finance system as well as its fiscal component are underway, taking into account international obligations and the EU accession roadmap. In the context of accelerating these transformations, highly contradictory shifts are taking place. Therefore, the course for change management must be implemented with adaptation to the new economic reality. Problem Statement. The time for strategic transformations has come, both globally and at the level of individual states with one of the key vectors being the strengthening of fiscal stability and the buffer potential for the likely negative scenarios of future significant shocks. Purpose. To define the directions for improving change management in the context of the interaction between debt, monetary, and other factors of the fiscal space. Methods. Methods of analysis, synthesis, statistical grouping, comparison, theoretical generalization, and abstract-logical methods were used. Results. Currently, fragmentation trends are increasing in the multipolar space. International alliances and multilateral institutions of the global order, established since World War II, are losing their potential for forming common planetary goals and ways for their achievement. It is necessary to adapt the directions of coordinating sustainable state policy to modern realities in the context of its structural and financial (fiscal, monetary) components. The main long-term tasks include neutralizing the multiplicative effects of uncertainty, in particular the strengthening of institutions. The key benchmarks are the transformation of fiscal rules and prospects for their reforming in Ukraine in compliance with EU norms, medium-term budget planning as a financial mechanism of updated governance, as well as measures for the implementation of innovations in the context of harmonizing national legislation with progressive practice of implementing international regulatory standards. Conclusions. Solving the issues of expanding the fiscal space has become an integral part of strategic change management in economic policy. The formation of budget reserves acquires a completely different context if the government supports a balanced debt policy in a favorable macroeconomic and institutional environment, as well as takes development budgeting measures in the short term. The creation of an additional resource for increasing state and local expenditures, which contribute to the factors of promising economic growth (quality of human capital, science, technology, innovation), the comprehensive implementation of social justice principles for both present and future generations (the establishment of national welfare funds, pension and social insurance, structural reforms, regional equalization, etc.) is becoming increasingly relevant.

In the context of the desire of many Central Asian countries to modernize their economies and diversify their energy sources, the study of eco-innovations in the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector is a key aspect in determining the prospects for sustainable development. The objective of this study is to identify the dynamics of eco-innovations in the SME sectors of Kazakhstan, as well as to assess the practical significance of these innovations for both the environment and society as a whole. To achieve this goal, a combination of methods was used, including surveys of entrepreneurs and business managers using structured questionnaires, as well as analysis of statistical information. The results of the study indicate that small and medium enterprises in Kazakhstan are actively implementing strategies aimed at energy conservation and the use of environmentally efficient technologies, resulting in high levels of energy savings. This trend highlights the growing role of SMEs in the economy, which is reflected in the increase in gross value added and their share in the gross domestic product. The increase in investment in environmental protection since 2000 indicates increased awareness of the importance of environmental issues and the strengthening of sustainable development strategies in Kazakhstan. Thus, SMEs are actively involved in reducing their environmental impact and consider environmental innovation as a key factor for sustainable economic growth. The results of the study provide a valuable basis for making informed decisions in the field of environmental sustainability and SME development in Central Asian countries.
