The Effect of the Organizational Communication on Organizational Commitment through Job Satisfaction: Focusing on Irregular Workers

Due to the rapidly changing economic environment and industrial structure, the proportion of irregular workers is gradually increasing. This study aims to provide evidence that can be used to establish HR strategies for irregular workers who have less loyalty or job satisfaction to the organization than regular workers. The result of this study is as follows: First, we verified that a satisfaction of organizational communication perceived by irregular workers had a positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, a job satisfaction of irregular workers was analyzed to have a positive effect on organizational commitment. Third, a job satisfaction was found to have a mediating effect in the relationship between organizational communication satisfaction and organizational commitment of irregular workers. Theseresults show that irregular workers also need smooth communication activities like regular workers in order to increase their job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Since the improvement of job satisfaction through smooth organizational communication activities can be an important factor in improving organizational immersion, the results of this study can be the basis for establishing an organizational communication plan that encompasses both regular and irregular workers. This study has a meaningful implication in that it provided a clue to re-establish the relationship between the effectiveness of organizational communication and job satisfaction and organizational commitment to irregular workers with relatively few studies.

One size does not fit all: How construal fit determines the effectiveness of organizational brand communication

While increasing the organizational identification of employees has been described as the ultimate goal of internal marketing and internal branding, one of its most common practices is to communicate organizational values both internally and externally. However, very little is known about the relative effectiveness of different types of organizational brand communication. Drawing from construal level theory, this research investigates whether the degree of construal fit, defined as the extent to which the construal of communication matches an employee’s construal of headquarters, determines the relative impact of organizational brand communication. A series of studies consisting of two cross-industrial multilevel field studies and a lab experiment provide evidence that organizational brand communication with low-level (high-level) construal is more effective to target employees with low (high) social distance to headquarters. PERPSPEKTIF HUMAN RELATION DALAM PENYELESAIKAN KONFLIK OLEH SERIKAT PEKERJA PADA INDUSTRI PARIWISATA DI KABUPATEN BADUNG

This article discussed conflicts that occurred in the tourism industry. The techniques of collecting data that used were through observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique used several stages, namely the stages of data reduction, data display and conclusions and verification. The results of the study stated that (1) conflicts that occur in the industry are internal conflicts, this dispute appeared because of the failure of two parties (workers and management or between units) in conveying thoughts, ideas, feelings and actions to the cause of not achieving equality of meaning (mutual understanding) resulted in wrong perceptions between both parties. The difference in meaning in the message conveyed occurs because there were different interpretations between communication style (2) transformational leadership can support the presence of internal conflict in organizations. (3) Several cases of internal conflict that occur in the industry discussed at LKB is an institution that aims to create an atmosphere of effective organizational communication and a conducive work climate.

THE EFFECT OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION AND JOB SATISFACTION ON EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT PT. ABYOR INTERNATIONAL

This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational communication and job satisfaction, on employee engagement and employee performance. The research data used are primary data derived from questionnaires and secondary data derived from company data. The sample method used is the nonprobability method. The population comes from all employees of PT. Abyor International which is still active in September 2019. The analytical method used in this study is the Partial Least Square (PLS) Structured Equation Model (SEM) using Smart PLS version 3.0. The results showed that organizational communication and job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect to employee engagement. Organizational communication and job satisfaction have no significant effect to employee performance. Employee engagement has a positive and significant effect to employee performance. Employee engagement becomes mediator for organizational communication and job satisfaction variables in influencing employee performance.

A congenial communication climate: the catalyst and panacea for effective organizational communication

The spirit of positive relationships should be the sine qua non to communication climate. Social scientists use the term communication climate to describe the quality of personal relationships in an organization. Do people feel respected? Do they trust one another? Do they believe that they are appreciated? The weather metaphor suggested by the term ‘climate’ is apt. Your own experience shows that the mood of a workplace can be described as sunny and calm, cold and stormy, or in similar terms, organizations create an overall climate, which can be healthy or polluted, but within that environment, individual relationships have their own micro climate. For instance, your interactions with one colleague might be described as icy, while you and another person enjoy a warm or cordial relationship. There is no question that communication climate is a key factor in job satisfaction and commitment to the organization. For this reason, communicators need to understand how to create positive climates. This article focuses on how to develop and improve the personal communication skills that are critical to the well being and successes of individuals and corporate organisations. The study adopts trait theory of leadership as its framework. It describes the necessary and proactive ingredients that foster a positive communication climate between people. It goes on to offer pertinent pieces of advice about how to communicate in a variety of person-to-person-situations; leadership styles, congenial climate and emotional intelligence.

PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI SEKOLAH TERHADAP KOMPETENSI GURU DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN

This study aims to determine: 1) The leadership of the school principal, organizational communication, teacher competencies, and the quality of learning. 2) The influence of the principal's leadership on the competence of teachers, 3) The effect of organizational communication on the competence of teachers, 4) The influence of school principlas leadership and organizational communication together on the competence, and 5) the effect of teacher competence on the quality of learning in state high schools in Majalengka Regency. This research method is a quantitative research method with descriptive and verification analysis techniques. Descriptive method using the calculation of frequency distribution, scoring and average value, while the verification method using path analysis. The sampling technique was taken by cluster proportional random sampling. Descriptive research results indicate that the principal's leadership, organizational communication, teacher competence and learning quality are in the good category. The results of the verification study prove that leadership and organizational communication have a positive and significant effect on teacher competency either partially or simultaneously. Teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on the quality of learning

The Effect of Organizational Culture and Communication in Decision Making by School Principals

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational culture and communication on principal decision making. The importance of decision made by principal becomes the background of this study. The mistake in decision making can reduce the school’s ability to achieve its vision. This study aims to seek the effect of organizational culture and communication in decision making. This study was conducted in the state junior high school, Indonesia. The study involved 144 principals as the population and 105 of the principals as the sample. This research engaged quantitative approach with survey design. The result of study showed that there is significant, direct and positive effect of organizational culture and communication on decision making. The result of this study can be used to enhance the effectiveness in decision making by principals. It can be concluded that principals need to enhance the organizational culture and communication.

The Way to Improve Employees' Job Satisfaction in Korean Social Enterprises: The Moderating Effects of Person-Organization Fit, Person-Job Fit, and Person-Supervisor Fit

Human resources play a key role in achieving a high level of organizational performance and the importance is still emphasized in our society. Nonetheless, organizations are experiencing negative phenomena such as job exhaustion and turnover. One of the key factors that can reduce these negative factors is seen as job satisfaction. In this regard, this research is an empirical study that it focused on the improvement of job satisfaction among organizational members who work in Korean social enterprises. In order to improve their job satisfaction, we focused on organizational communication and verified its role and emphasized its importance through its influence on job satisfaction. To improve the effect of organizational communication, we verified the role of person-organizational fit, person-job fit, and person-supervisor fit. These three types of fit were identified as ways to increase the influence of organizational communication on job satisfaction. Therefore, we examined the moderating effect of these three types of fit on the relationship between organizational communication and job satisfaction. The empirical results showed that the higher the three types of fit, the greater the influence of organizational communication on job satisfaction. Furthermore, by comparing the impacts of the three types of fit on job satisfaction, we identified what is the most essential fit. Based on the results of empirical analysis, this research discussed practical implications for improving organizational member's job satisfaction in Korean social enterprises and provides future research plans for the performance of Korean social enterprises.

This study aims to determinethe effect of organizational communication on the performance of employees, the effect of work motivation on the performance of employees and the influence of organizational communication, and work motivation on the performance of employees of PT. Bank Bukopin, Tbk. Palembang Branch both partially and simultaneously.The sample used in this study was a permanent employee of PT. Bank Bukopin, Tbk. Palembang Branch, which has a minimum service period of 2 years and has offices in Palembang Main Branch as many as 30 respondents. The technique used in taking this sample is to use one of the non probability sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling. The analytical method used is descriPT.ive analysis method using path analysis with the SPSS for Windows version 23.The test results of the hypothesis indicate that the variables: (1) organizational communication has a positive effect on employee performance. (2) Work Motivation of Organizational Communication and Work Motivation means that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (3) Organizational Communication and Work Motivation have a positive effect on Employee Performance at PT.Bank Bukopin, Tbk. Palembang Branch. Organizational communication and work motivation together have an effect on employee performance.

Pengaruh Komunikasi Organisasi terhadap Kinerja Tenaga Kesehatan yang Dimediasi oleh Motivasi di RSUD Kota Malang

The result of preliminary study about the clinical effectiveness of RSUD Malang, the success of effective communication training in Malang Hospital is caused by the lack of motivation owned by health personnel, thus giving the influence of the decreasing of the performance of the health personnel. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of organizational communication on the performance of health personnels of RSUD Kota Malang, which is assumed to be mediated by motivation. The results showed that organizational communication had a significant positive effect on motivation (original sample = 0,434, value of TStatistics = 6,021); organizational communication has a significant positive effect on the performance of health personnel (original sample = 0.617, T-Statistics = 11.778); motivation has a significant positive effect on the performance of health personnel (original sample = 0.226, T-Statistics = 3,533); and motivation mediate between the influence of organizational communication on the performance of health personnel (Zsobel test = 3.050, value P-Value = 0.002).

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of organizational communication on employee performance in Surabaya factory branch. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and carried out on 90 employees at Richeese Factory located in Surabaya namely Richeese Factory Royal Plaza, Masqueion Square Richeese Factory, Richeese Factory Cito, Richeese Factory Spazio, Richeese Factory Plaza Surabaya and Richeese Factory Tunjungan Plaza 2. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. Data analysis in this study uses SPSS version 24. This study uses hypothesis testing with ordinal regression method. Before being tested with this method the researcher conducted a descriptive analysis, validity test and reliability. Based on the parameter estimate table, organizational communication variables are 8,213 with sig. 0,04 (<0,05). If the significance level obtained is less than 0.05, then the variable regression coefficient is significant, and states that the independent variable is significant in influencing the dependent variable. Assessment of Effective Organizational Communication on Organizational Silence and Organizational Citizenship Behavior

This study aimed to determine effective organizational communication with Organizational Silence and Organizational Citizenship Behavior is done. This research is a quantitative and descriptive survey method. The study population consisted of all employees in the country’s Export Development Bank whose number is 1,200, a sample according to the sample of 291 was achieved using twostage cluster online questionnaire was distributed among the population under study and the sample was calculated according to the formula Cochran 291, the cluster using two-step online questionnaire was distributed among the population under study. The tool data is measured using standard questionnaires and effective organizational communications questionnaire (25 questions), organizational silence (25 questions) and organizational citizenship behavior (25 questions) which is then distributed between the staff number of 284 questionnaire were collected. Data analysis was performed using structural equation and software Lisrel. Analysis shows the overall indices measure the overall model is perfectly acceptable situation. The results show an inverse relationship between effective organizational communication and organizational silence (0.86-) there is a significant and also an inverse relationship between organizational silence and organizational citizenship behavior (0.19-) there is a significant, and finally a positive relationship between organizational communication effectiveness and organizational citizenship behavior (0.16) significantly there.

The government of Bandung city had a responsibility to run administration, development of the government, and to provide excellent service for the community to create dignigfied, excellent, comfortable, and prosperous Bandung community. The success of the government in achieving performance targets was not balanced by the improvement of their employees’ performance. The aim of the study was to analyze the quality of work life, communication within the organization, work satisfaction and employees discipline within the government of Bandung, and the influence among these variables as well. The method of the study was explanatory survey. The population of this study was regional civil servants in Bandung city. Proportionate random sampling was used to 393 staff members of regional work units within the city of Bandung. The instrument was questionnaire, and data analysis used path analysis with the assist of a statistical package named SPSS 19.0. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the employee performance will be built through quality of work life, effectiveness of organizational communication, job satisfaction, and work discipline. Recommendation are: Bandung City Government facilitates the development of employee skills, develops organizational communication more interactively, improves job satisfaction, improves work discipline, and optimizes the work time for each main task settlement
