I.T. Bakumenko's malaсological collection passed to the State Museum of Natural History of NAS of Ukraine

In August 2021, the State Museum of Natural History in Lviv received the conchological collection of the geologist and amateur collector I.T. Bakumenko. This made it possible to considerably supplement the sample of exotic mollusc species, mainly marine ones, intended for exposition use. During the processing of the collection, the existing identifications were checked, and most of the unlabeled specimens were also identified. Unfortunately, the vast majority of materials did not contain data on place and time of collecting, so they could not be transferred to the main fund of the museum. Most of the collection was represented by the shells of exotic marine molluscs, the list of which is given in the article. Excluding materials identified only to genus or subgenus level, the collection transferred to the museum contained 6 species of exotic land molluscs and 145 species of exotic marine ones. Most of them have previously not been presented in the malacological collection of the museum. Without taking into account taxa whose correct identification requires additional verification, three species of land exotic molluscs, one family (Pinnidae) and 86 species of marine exotic ones appeared for the first time in the malacological collection. Some shells of exotic molluscs of the families Arcidae, Ampullariidae, Cardiidae, Mactridae, Muricidae, Naticidae, Orthalicidae, Ostreidae, Patellidae, Pectenidae, Ranellidae, Tellinidae, Trochidae, Veneridae require further identification. Some of the most attractive examples of the collection transferred to the museum were demonstrated in a thematic electronic photo album “Treasures of distant seas” (2021). In the future, the digitization of other exotic species that entered the malacological collection of the museum for the first time is planned. The produced photos will be used in one of the thematic sections of the museum project Educational Internet program "Molluscs".

Application of Multimodal Multimedia Information and Big Data Technology in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language Course

With the change of the times, under the leadership of big data, cloud computing, network technology, mobile Internet, and other high technology, education has gradually broken free from the traditional teaching mode. At the same time, advanced technology has also lifted the confinement of traditional teaching mode in space and time and opened the skylight of intelligent thinking mode. From the current situation of Chinese language fever around the world, the demand of Chinese language learners for learning materials and learning resources will continue to increase in the future. With the continuous development of Internet education, the combination of Internet technology and international Chinese education will definitely become the key direction for the development of international Chinese education. In this context, online teaching resources will become an important basis for the development of “Internet+Chinese international education”, so it is necessary to investigate and study the online teaching resources of “Internet+Chinese international education.” As a matter of fact, with the development of society and the advancement of technology, the era of informationization has come. As a result, the main theme of education in the information age is to provide suitable education for students who want to learn Chinese and to promote the active and lively development of each student. In the past, the one-size-fits-all education model of classroom teaching could not meet the individual development of students and the demand of society for diversified talents. Therefore, the traditional teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is in urgent need of change, and personalized teaching is attracting attention. With the emergence of technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, and big data in education, personalized teaching has received technical support. This paper is aimed at exploring how to apply the new technologies in the teaching process to help teachers personalize teaching, stimulate students’ interest in learning, meet their individual needs, break through the traditional teaching methods, and make it possible to teach according to their abilities. As one of the main learning resources, the quality of multimedia courseware will be the criterion to measure whether it meets the teaching and learning needs. Consequently, the use of big data, multimedia, and multimodal technologies to improve the Chinese language material library and develop special software for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, as well as the production of high-quality multimedia courseware that is highly compatible with the teaching materials, will become the trend of future research.

The relationship between nutrition literacy and nutrition information seeking attitudes and healthy eating patterns among a group of palestinians

IntroductionNutrition literacy is crucial because it gives people information and drives them to take responsibility for their eating habits. Prior research on three categories of nutrition literacy among Palestinians was lacking: functional literacy (FNL), interactive literacy (INL), and critical literacy (CNL).Aims(1) Describe three types of nutrition literacy—FNL, INL, and CNL—among a group of Palestinians was one of the study’s primary objectives. (2) To investigate the connections between various nutrition literacy levels, eating habits, and the habit of seeking out nutrition-related information.Methods149 Palestinians were chosen at random to take part in the study in the fall of 2020. Data on sociodemographic variables were gathered through an online survey that was disseminated across social and educational internet sites. Nutrition literacy data was gathered using a translated questionnaire, while diet behavior data was gathered using the Short Format of the Diet Health and Knowledge Survey (SFDHKS). The data were examined using SPSS 21.ResultsThis study included young people (20.4 ± 4.9 years old), 78% of whom were female. The majorities of participants had bachelor’s degrees or were already enrolled in school to obtain them. FNL had a mean of 2.8 ± 0.5, INL of 3.3 ± 0.5, and CNL of 3.6 ± 0.5. The connection between CNL and INL was significant (p 0.05). Significant correlations were found between many aspects of diet behavior, the usage of food labels, and nutrition literacy.ConclusionParticipants from the Palestinian community are willing to learn about and comprehend nutrition facts and how it relates to diet behavior in 2021.

Designing a process of organizing a scientific and educational Internet event

Scientific and educational events are a relevant issue in the system of higher education. Modern challenging realities require new approaches to the event organization process, a clear differentiation of classroom and distance event forms, prioritization in their planning and conducting. The aim of the study is to develop a technique for organizing a scientific and educational Internet event and apply it while conducting a scientific student Internet conference.The research is based on the modern approaches to design and modeling, event management and reengineering. We collected and analyzed theoretical and empirical data, systematized, generalized and recorded it graphically.As a result, a five stage process of organizing a scientific and educational event has been designed. At first we created a model of educational event concept, chose an electronic form as optimal for organizing an event in new realities. The next stage was to create a scheme of preparing and holding an event, showing a set and sequence of actions. Further using the model of event concept and the scheme, we organized a scientific student conference in the electronic form, tested a new format of scientific communication. The final stage was the analysis of the conference results, a survey of participants, and a comparison with the metrics of previous years.The developed model of event concept and the scheme of preparing and holding an event include all procedures for organizing an event of any level and format; they can be used for preparing most educational events. Designing organizational processes in rapidly changing conditions is a challenging issue for modernization of teacher’s organizational and managerial activities.

Evaluating the impact of broadband access and internet use in a small underserved rural community

Having adequate access to the internet at home enhances quality-of-life for households and facilitates economic and social opportunities. Despite increased investment in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of households in the rural United States still lack adequate access to high-speed internet. In this study, we evaluate a wireless broadband network deployed in Turney, a small, underserved rural community in northwest Missouri. In addition to collecting survey data before and after this internet intervention, we collected pre-treatment and post-treatment survey data from comparison communities to serve as a control group. Due to technical constraints, some of Turney's interested participants could not connect to the network, creating an additional comparison group. These comparisons suggest two primary findings, (1) changes in using the internet for employment, education, and health could not be directly attributed to the internet intervention, and (2) the internet intervention was associated with benefits stemming from the ability to use multiple devices at once. This study has implications for the design of future broadband evaluation studies, particularly those examining underserved rather than unserved communities. Recommendations for identifying appropriate outcome variables, executing recruitment strategies, and selecting the timing of surveys are made.

The Importance of Using the Internet of Things in Education

The subject of the Internet of Things is very important, especially at present, which is why it has attracted the attention of researchers and scientists due to its importance in human life. Through it, a person can do several things easily, accurately, and in an organized manner. The research addressed important topics, the most important of which are the concept of the Internet of Things, the history of its emergence and development, the reasons for its interest and importance, and its most prominent advantages and characteristics. The research sheds light on the structure of the Internet of Things, its structural components, and its most important components. The research dealt with the most important search engines in the Internet of Things, the steps of designing Internet of things systems. Among the important topics included in the research are the use of Internet of things technology in the educational field, the role of the Internet of things in solving education problems, and the most important applications of the Internet of things in education and its importance for students and teachers. Also indicated the contribution of the Internet of Things to ensuring sustainable development, environmental protection and the most important areas of application of the Internet of Things. The research sample amounted to (152 teaching staff) from Iraqi Universities and their academic achievement (84 Ph.D., 68 Master’s, 42 Bachelor’s) from (17) different scientific specializations; and (42 students). The number of respondents who use the Internet in education is 191 and the number of those who do not use the Internet and teach in person is (3) from (194) person. Students and professors use smartphones in study and teaching at a rate of (97.42%) and computers and their necessities at a rate of (92.27%) are higher than electronic devices and equipment including the smart board (11,86%). Use of IoT technology is of great and medium importance in providing electronic lectures effectively, with a percentage of 96.91%, the use of it has a large and medium role in solving education problems in giving lectures in light of health crises, especially in light of the Coronavirus crisis. Availability at the local and global levels, whether with the appropriate content or the selection of professors anywhere in the world, at a rate of 98.45%.

Analysis of the development level of Internet teaching in primary and secondary school teachers - -Based on a survey of more than 40,000 teachers in China

Under the background of “Internet +”education, Internet teaching has become a teaching way to leverage the teaching reform and promote the development of students. It is found that there are significant differences in the development of teachers in the eastern, central and western regions, and teachers in primary and primary schools teachers’ Internet teaching are the best. It need to improve the infrastructure, to carry out related training, selecting pilot schools, further enhance the level of national basic education teachers Internet teaching development.

Kant’s pedagogical thought and current problems of education

Reflection on education has a central place in Kantian anthropology. The human being can only become human through education. In my analysis of Kant’s standpoint, I identify the characteristics of education that underlie Kantian anthropology: the exclusive predisposition of humans to education, the duty of a human to be educated, the communicative nature of education, education as a product and goal of humanity, the continuous development of education plans and education as a tool to improve humanity. In interpreting the latter idea, I reveal the specific optimism and pessimism of Kant’s pedagogical thought. Further, I analyse the key characteristics of education to transfer Kantian ideas to the present context. I also reformulate current problems in education in comparison to, and with the help of, Kantian pedagogical ideas. These issues are the correlation between Kant’s pedagogical anthropologism and the problem of artificial intelligence, the transformation of the teacher-student relationship, extended adolescence, personal growth of the educator, the consequences of education digitalisation, the advantages and disadvantages of using the Internet in education, the effect of an information society on education, and the role of the state in education. I conclude that commitment to Kantian principles in contemporary education is nominal rather than substantial and that embracing these principles is complicated by the pervasiveness of modern technology in human life. Overall, Kant’s pedagogical theory is the perfect reference point for an optimistic outlook on education.

International Student Mobility and Covid-19 Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities in Southeast Asia

The influence of Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic is significant in international higher education, especially student mobility. Due to the travel restrictions and campus closure, many students changed or cancelled their plan of studying abroad. Thus this study was therefore conducted primarily to determine the opportunities and challenges of the international mobility of students during the Covid-19 pandemic to draw prospects and recommendations to further enhance the progress of this educational endeavour and as well as, sustainable collaborations in Southeast Asia. The study used descriptive method because the study was associated with large sample sizes, respondents asked the same questions, and concentrating to quantity responses, which ensures that the entire data collection can be analyzed fairly. 35 respondents from institutions in the SEAMEO Network participating in the SEA-TVET Consortium within Southeast Asia were surveyed in this paper, and a questionnaire was used as the main data-gathering instrument for the study. Descriptive method of research and statistical tools were considered. The finding showed that the institution’s program for international student mobility was affected by the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic and greater part of the respondents encounter Travel and Government restrictions since the COVID-19 pandemic had disrupted most facets of lives including education. This had resulted in many schools and institutions of higher learning (IHE) being forced to cancel physical classes, and controlled international travel, with many nations keeping their borders closed to non-residents. Nevertheless, International Student Mobility in South East Asia was complemented using technological advancement for students such as online language or internet education and webinars in this pandemic. The researchers concluded based on the findings that the challenges and opportunities were both adapted by the institutions for International Student Mobility during pandemic in South East Asia.

Determinants of Labour Force Participation in Nigeria: The Role of Expansion in Tertiary Education and Internet

The aim of this study is to examine the determinants of labour force participation in Nigeria. The Fully Modified OLS was used to investigate the relationship between labour force participation rate and, life expectancy rate, trade openness, education (% secondary), education (% tertiary), labour tax wedge, dummy variable for era of expansion tertiary education in Nigeria, ratio of service to industry, and number of internet users from 1990 to 2021. The series were tested for the stationarity with ADF and the results showed that all the series were stationary at first difference. The Johansen cointegration technique was employed to examine the existence of long run relationship among the series and the result showed the existence of six cointegration equation among the series. The findings of the study showed that life expectancy rate, internet, and the interaction of tertiary education, dummy variable for the expansion of tertiary education in Nigeria and internet contribute significantly to labour force participation in Nigeria. The authors concluded that expansion in tertiary education combined with access to internet is a necessity for labour force participation in Nigeria. The authors therefore recommended that there should be improvement in social infrastructure as to enhance good living conditions among the population; thereby, increase their lifespan. In addition, the recent investment in ICT should be sustained in order to ensure that great numbers of Nigerians, especially students have access to internet. Lastly, the government can liberalise the economy to give room for foreign investors’ involvement in manufacturing of ICT infrastructure and accessories.

A Comprehensive Survey of Candidate Waveforms for 5G, beyond 5G and 6G Wireless Communication Systems

The evolution of global mobile data over the past decades in broadcasting, Internet of Things (IoT), education, healthcare, commerce, and energy has put strong pressure on 3G/4G mobile networks to improve their service offerings. These generations of mobile networks were initially invented to meet the requirements of the above-mentioned applications. However, as the requirements in these applications continue to increase, new mobile technologies such as 5G (fifth generation), 5G and beyond (B5G, beyond fifth generation), and 6G (sixth generation) are still progressing and being experimented. These networks are very heterogeneous generations of mobile networks that will have to offer very high throughput per user, good energy efficiency, better traffic capacity per area, improved spectral efficiency, very low latency, and high mobility. To meet these requirements, the radio interface of future mobile networks will have to be flexible and rationalized the available frequency resources. Therefore, new modulation methods, access techniques and waveforms capable of supporting these technological changes are proposed. This review presents brief descriptions of the types of 5G, B5G, and 6G waveforms. The 5G consists of OFDM including its transmission techniques: generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM), filter bank based multi-carrier (FBMC), universal filtered multi-carrier (UFMC), and index modulation (IM). Meanwhile, the 6G covers orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS), orthogonal chirp division multiplexing (OCDM) and orthogonal time sequence multiplexing (OTSM). The networks’ potentialities, advantages, disadvantages, and future directions are outlined.

Exploration on the Classroom Reform of Residential Decoration Space Design in Higher Vocational Colleges in the Post Epidemic Era

In the post epidemic period, the teaching mode of higher vocational education presents a new trend of teaching transformation and development. In particular, many higher vocational colleges reflect the teaching development model of the Internet in their teaching activities, and the cloud based teaching model reflects important value and significance in the application of higher vocational education. Objectively, online teaching is closely related to the current epidemic prevention and control. From the perspective of the overall development trend of teaching, it adapts to the new idea of the current development of Internet plus teaching. From the perspective of practice, this Internet teaching mode is consistent with the teaching situation of students. Taking the key courses of typical majors as an example, we can tap the advantages and disadvantages of online teaching mode. This paper mainly discusses the reform and development mode of teaching design in higher vocational education in the post epidemic era, mainly taking the teaching of residential decoration space design as an example.

Construction of Preschool Education Resources under the Internet+ Background

Abstract In the environment of the increasingly rapid development of science and technology, students’ learning contents and learning methods are becoming more and more diversified. Under the informational learning scope and teaching mode, the Internet+ learning mode is being used by more and more students and teachers. Internet+ education, Internet+ learning resources, Internet+ curriculum, and other learning modes are presented to students and teachers. Information-based learning and teaching are the needs of the time and the inevitable development of society. Therefore, teachers and students should use Internet+ learning tools reasonably to improve learning efficiency. This paper investigates three aspects—teachers, the design of teaching resources, and the use of Internet+ resources—and uses a case study method to investigate several preschools in a certain region. Finally, it was concluded that the Internet+ teaching mode is quite popular nowadays and the percentage of its application in various preschools is quite high. The proportion of young teachers using the Internet is high, and the Internet teaching mode has penetrated all aspects of teaching. However, the proportion of middle-aged and older teachers using Internet tools is relatively small, so the extent and scope of their use should be greatly enhanced. The research in this paper shows that the Internet+ approach to learning and teaching can greatly enhance the discovery and summarization of teacher resources and help teachers design better learning resources. At the same time, it can help students learn better.

Current trends of professional competence formation of students of higher education institutions of PRC

The article examines the issue of modern trends in the formation of professional competence of students of higher education institutions. The definition of the concept of professional competence is analyzed based on various definitions and the own vision of this concept is formulated as: a set of knowledge, skills, abilities and qualities that are necessary for the successful performance of a certain professional activity. It was determined that the most significant trends in the formation of professional competence in the educational space of higher education institutions include: active use of information and digital technologies; practice-oriented educational programs; interdisciplinarity and flexibility; development of soft skills; participation in research activities. It is noted that modern trends in the formation of professional competence are also associated with active interaction between educational institutions and employers. This approach makes it possible to take into account the needs of the labor market and train specialists who meet modern requirements. The leading experience of the higher education system of the People’s Republic of China in the formation of the professional competence of students was studied. The main trends of the above-mentioned issue in the education system of the People’s Republic of China include: Internet education programs; use of modern technologies in education; interactive learning methods; internship programs; in-depth study of foreign languages; international mobility; development of soft skills. It was established that the formation of students’ professional competence is a complex and multifaceted process that requires a comprehensive approach and constant improvement of existing methods and approaches.

The Research on The Application Of Educational Metaverse in The Experimental Teaching of Medical Physiology

The arrival of the metaverse, as a new generation of information technology, will bring great changes to people's production, life, and learning. The educational metaverse is regarded as a new form of educational development, which will bring a transformative impact on educational teaching activities. In this context, this study has developed a general architecture of educational metaverse system, which includes the physical layer, software layer, data layer, and application layer, based on the technical, theoretical, and architectural support and its digital ecology of educational metaverse system construction. The study has tried to construct a physiology virtual experimental teaching system, and taken the rabbit's exercise of respiration regulation experiment as an example to start the research on the educational metaverse in physiology experimental teaching. Participants of the study were 120 students from the 2019 clinical medicine class at School A. By analyzing the learning outcome of students in the virtual experiment course of the educational metaverse, it is concluded that educational metaverse can promote both teaching and learning in the process of experimental teaching; this research has explored the path for the new form of Internet education, which is of great significance for promoting the efficient construction of new education infrastructure and the innovative development of education modernization

A future hacker, an IT technician must speak not only English, but also have the skills and knowledge, as well as the necessary set of terminology in a foreign language in his professional field, have professional communication skills. The use of modern Internet and information technologies in practical classes in the discipline of a foreign language creates conditions for the development of students’ cognitive, educational and language skills. Through information technology, information students improve their writing, speaking, and listening skills. In the presented article, educational Internet materials were considered. It was found that the use of modern information technology in the practical classes significantly increases the motivation of students in the study of a foreign language.

A survey on big data-enabled innovative online education systems during the COVID-19 pandemic

With the spread of COVID-19 around the world, the education industry faces enormous challenges. Some colleges and universities have launched online teaching. Comprehensive online teaching and student health checkups help students complete the set teaching content and return to school as soon as possible. With the development of big data, combined with the epidemic risk we are facing, the rational use of big data and the internet for innovative online education has become a mainstream teaching method. Colleges and universities are not yet familiar with the development prospects and future of online education. Through the research of this paper, we can understand the combination of online education and the development of big data and promote its application in colleges and universities. Not only have innovative online education platforms such as MOOC and DingTalk been widely used, but innovative online education methods such as virtual classrooms also have been created. Based on the current epidemic background, this paper analyzes the development of online education, introduces the impact of the combination of online education and big data, and introduces innovative online education technologies and their effects. It helps online education under the influence of the new coronavirus epidemic, operating big data technology to analyze the current prospects and development of online education, showing the combination of big data technology and online education through the analysis of big data technology, and ending with more expectations on other aspects of the use of big data, which affects the online education industry as well as other industries. Finally, we summarize the combination of big data and innovative online education since the emergence of COVID-19 and introduce the concepts and methods of combining online education and big data technology in detail. The online education platform also makes a reasonable introduction. The thesis can be used to understand the problems and challenges faced by innovative online education in the context of the new coronavirus epidemic and look forward to the future on this basis.
