The study aims to determine the content and structure of the competence of constructing a social space of preschoolers’ relationships and, based on this, to identify the features of its formation in the quality assurance system of professional training for future educators in higher education institutions. The article analyzes the problem of the quality of professional training for future educators of preschool educational organizations. The scientific novelty of the study lies in describing and characterizing the competence of constructing a social space of preschoolers’ relationships of future educators, determining its structure and content, identifying the components of the competence, and presenting the features of its formation in the educational process of the university, taking into account the requirements of state educational standards. The formation of this competence is carried out through innovative forms, means, methods, and technologies. As a result of the study, it was found that the competence of constructing a social space of preschoolers’ relationships includes professional and personal qualities of future educators that determine their readiness for future professional activities. The structure of the said readiness is comprised of motivational, cognitive, active, and communicative components. The content of these components is substantiated. Features of competence formation in the quality assurance system of professional training for future educators in higher education institutions have been identified.

Food purchase and consumption behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in Bangladesh: association between sociodemographic composition

BackgroundBangladesh suffered a severe COVID-19 wave from June to August 2021, which forced the government to impose emergency nationwide lockdown measures for three months with discontinuities. The sudden lockdown strongly affected the dietary preferences, financial circumstances, and social interactions of citizens.MethodsIn this comprehensive study, we collected sociodemographic information as well as data on food purchase and consumption behaviors from 1,350 adults in Bangladesh during the weeks of enforced confinement. The association between the sociodemographic factors (viz., gender, age, education status, income, occupation, and household size) and food purchase and consumption behaviors were determined by conducting bivariate and multivariate logistic regression models reporting as odds ratios.ResultsThe descriptive result reveals that 49.63% of the participants experienced wage reductions, with many people enduring reductions of up to 75%; 12.22% lost their jobs. Besides, a decline in the frequency of shopping was observed by 35.04%; and 24.52% avoided outdoor shopping during the pandemic period. Additionally, 28.74% of participants purchased less overall, while 19.48% purchased significantly fewer items per trip compared to the pre-pandemic period. The multivariate analysis shows a prominent increase in online grocery shopping (OR: 4.03, 95% CI: 2.38–6.83, p < 0.001) and meal delivery services (OR = 5.19, 95% CI = 3.21–7.17, p < 0.001) among higher educated individuals compared to the individuals having no institutional education. The personnel having formal jobs purchased 2.34 times more from online grocery sites (95% CI = 0.34–4.08, p = 0.003) compared to the unemployed one. In contrast, a notable increase in panic buying and stockpiling was observed, driven by scarcity and escalating prices of essential food items. The frequency of meals with families, active engagement in meal preparation, and the exploration of novel recipes also increased notably.ConclusionsThe consumption of takeaway food and inter-meal snacks increased significantly with the education level of individuals. These findings highlighted that a prolonged pandemic could magnify economic vulnerability in Bangladesh.

DESAFIOS E POSSIBILIDADES DA GESTÃO EDUCACIONAL: INOVAÇÃO E MELHORIA NA TOMADA DE DECISÕES

The theme “Challenges and Possibilities of Management in Education” explores the complexity and opportunities present in contemporary educational management. The main objective of this work is to analyze the challenges faced by educational managers in managing resources and implementing public policies, identifying innovative strategies that promote efficiency and continuous improvement in the quality of education. The research seeks to answer the question: how can educational managers face the challenges of managing resources and implementing public policies, while seeking innovation and continuous improvement in the quality of education in public institutions? The methodology used included a literature review on educational management. The results indicate that, despite the scarcity of resources and social inequalities, educational management offers numerous possibilities, such as the integration of digital technologies, the strengthening of participatory management, strategic planning oriented towards results and the development of educational leaders. Public-private partnerships emerge as an effective alternative to enhance resources and knowledge, contributing to the continuous improvement of school practices. The conclusion highlights the importance of proactive and innovative management, capable of adapting to changes and promoting quality education and inclusion.

PLAYING WITH SOUNDS. EARLY AND PRESCHOOL MUSIC EDUCATION THROUGH KODALY APPROACH AND EDWIN GORDON’S MUSIC THEORY

The early introduction of children to the art of music is a recommendation in numerous curricula and approaches to music education. However, there is a need for a more profound understanding and the development of clear guidelines for working with music educators in children's educational institutions. In addition to guidance for music educators, it is crucial to persuade parents, the primary source of musical stimulation for their children, to engage with their children's musical development. Children in early childhood express natural curiosity in exploring the sounds of their environment. The incorporation of music into the natural surroundings of children can stimulate their interest in singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. Many scholars engaged in research on children’s music education are interested in understanding how to develop children’s musical abilities to support their understanding of musical language.

Integration of Personal Safety in Students Training on the Specialty “Civil Safety” at Technical Institutions of Higher Education

Security is considered a legitimate goal of every society. In recent years of the pandemic and then the war in Ukraine, the issue of the security paradigm has become particularly relevant. It prompts a revision of conceptual approaches to the formation of human personal security competencies and especially the mechanisms and ways of ensuring it in society and the state in the present conditions. Therefore, in theory, national and international security concepts are being developed, and more recently, individual, social, and global security. This indicates, among other things, a significant expansion of new dimensions of security when political independence, territorial integrity, and viability of the country, as well as the survival and development of its inhabitants, are at stake. Security in itself should have the status of a fundamental human right. Many publicly discussed security issues are related to technical solutions. Debates are underway not only about society's attitude to security, but also about what research and for what purpose it is conducting or has conducted in this direction. This also applies to the educational environment. The article defines and substantiates the principles of the formation of personal safety of students, provides an essential characteristic of the pedagogical process of formation of personal safety of students, considers the technology of formation of personal safety of students based on the competence approach, reveals the content of the competences of the individual in the sphere of life safety. The purpose of this article is to study the process of forming the personal safety of students in the system of professional education in higher technical institutions of a technical profile. The methodology on which the research is grounded is based on the methodological principles of systematicity and an interdisciplinary approach and includes the use of a complex of general scientific methods, namely explanation, comparison, classification, generalization, and systematization. Based on them, a model of forming students' competencies in the life safety field was built. Within the framework of our research, the following results were achieved: the views of scientists on the issue of the formation of security competencies among students in the new context of the construction of Ukrainian society in conditions of war were summarized; the principles of forming students' personal safety based on the competence approach are substantiated; tasks for the development of students' competencies in the field of life safety are formulated; a structural model of students' competencies and the process of their formation in the field of life safety was built. The conclusions allow us to state that the problem of security is complex and multifaceted, since conflicts, wars or unstable state structures often have not only local significance, but also global consequences due to a closely interconnected and globalized world. The formation of personal safety competencies in students as future specialists is important as a basis for self-preservation, self-development and self-improvement. For this purpose, educational professional programs of technical universities should include fundamental educational disciplines that will ensure the development of worldview principles of life safety and determine generally accepted safety needs and generally recognized safety mechanisms.

СОСТОЯНИЕ ФИЗИЧЕСКОГО ВОСПИТАНИЯ В ВЫСШИХ УЧЕБНЫХ ЗАВЕДЕНИЯХ КРЫМА В СЕРЕДИНЕ 30-Х ГОДОВ ХХ ВЕКА

Based on the analysis of previously unexplored archival documents, the state of physical education and mass sports work in higher educational institutions of the Crimea in the mid 30s of the 20th century are considered. Research has established that the departments of physical and military training in Crimean higher educational institutions were opened in 1932. During the period from 1933 to 1935, there was an intensive development of physical culture and mass sports work in Crimean higher educational institutions in the form of full coverage of the contingent of students with compulsory academic physical education classes, the creation of physical education collectives at institutions, the improvement of their sports base, the opening of student sections on sports and the establishment of intra-university competitions. The most important aspect of the physical education work of higher educational institutions was the involvement of students and teachers in passing the standards for the badge «Ready for work and defense of the USSR». The Supreme Council of Physical Culture of Crimea took an active part in the activities of Crimean higher educational institutions to improve physical education, performing coordinating, organizational and supervisory functions.

Analisis Hubungan antara Penguasaan Ushul Fiqh dan Tingkat Pemahaman Materi Fiqh di Semester VII Ma’had Aly Imam Bukhari

This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between the mastery of Ushul Fiqh and the level of understanding of Fiqh among seventh-semester students at Ma’had Aly Imam Bukhari. Ushul Fiqh is a crucial discipline in Islamic law studies, as it serves as a foundation for understanding and applying Islamic legal rulings. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine whether mastery of Ushul Fiqh significantly contributes to a deeper understanding of Fiqh. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with several seventh-semester students studying both Fiqh and Ushul Fiqh. Thematic analysis was used to explore the relationship between mastery of Ushul Fiqh and the understanding of Fiqh. The results show a significant relationship between the mastery of Ushul Fiqh and the understanding of Fiqh. Students with a strong grasp of Ushul Fiqh were able to understand Fiqh terms more easily and had better analytical skills in evaluating various scholarly opinions. In conclusion, the mastery of Ushul Fiqh positively contributes to a better understanding of Fiqh. Thus, improving the teaching of Ushul Fiqh is expected to enhance students' comprehension of Fiqh and improve the quality of Islamic education in academic institutions.

Sports and activity games as a means of increasing the motive activity of educators

At the current stage, the problem of insufficient movement mode of the participants of the educational process, which negatively affects their physical development and the state of mental processes, in particular: feeling, perception, thinking, memorization, attention, needs special attention. This fact reduces the success of studies to some extent. Therefore, it is necessary to look for ways to use such means of motor activity that would contribute to the improvement of the physical and psychological condition of students. The goal is to reveal the peculiarities of the use of mobile and sports games in the educational process of physical education in higher education institutions as a means of improving the motor activity of students. Research results. The expediency of using the sports and game method in the process of physical education of students, which provides sufficient physical activity and contributes to strengthening health, forms moral and willpower qualities of the individual, is revealed. A rich arsenal of sports games, including basketball, volleyball, mini-football, their nature, structure and intensity are highlighted. It is noted that with the help of sports games, students develop important physical qualities: strength, speed, dexterity, endurance, consolidate and improve various skills and abilities in walking, running, jumping. Attention is paid to the careful selection of mobile games, taking into account the physical fitness and interests of students, their capabilities, which will make it possible to diversify classes and form the necessary motor skills. Conclusions. The use of the sports and game method in physical education classes contributes to the comprehensive development of the student's personality, as it causes positive emotions, a sense of satisfaction, cheerfulness, activity, and has a positive effect on physical and mental development.

Theoretical and methodological foundations of the use of myofascial release in higher education students in physical education classes

The purpose of the study: to consider the theoretical and methodological foundations of the myofascial release method and to study the effectiveness of its use in higher education students in physical education classes. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalisation of scientific and methodological literature. Results of the study. The definition of the concept of ’myofascial release’ is given, the characteristics and means of this method are described, and the methodological aspects of its application are presented. The effectiveness of the use of myofascial release in physical education classes for higher education students is revealed. Conclusions. The myofascial release method, based on the research of doctors. Janet Travell, Robert Ward and John F. Barnes, demonstrates significant effectiveness in reducing muscle tension, pain and restoring muscle and fascia function through manual action on trigger points. The myofascial release technique is based on an understanding of the integrity of the fascial system, which performs protective and support functions, and disorders in which can lead to mobility restrictions and pain, which emphasises the importance of timely intervention. The use of myofascial release in physical education classes for higher education students helps to improve health, blood circulation; relieve muscle spasms; reduce muscle pain; increase joint mobility; accelerate recovery from physical activity; increase the level of endurance and flexibility; reduce the likelihood of injury. The combination of myofascial release with stretching increases its effectiveness, helping to reduce pain, improve flexibility and reduce the risk of injury. The method of myofascial release is an effective means of improving the physical condition of students, which emphasises the importance of its implementation in the system of physical education of higher education institutions.

Actual problems of physical education of school- aged children in the conditions of an inclusive environment

The article examines the results of an analysis of statistical data from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the state of inclusive education in general secondary education institutions, as well as current issues in the physical education of children with special educational needs (SEN). The study uses official reports from 2020 to 2023, along with data on access to inclusive education for children with SEN in the Lviv and Ternopil regions. It has been established that over the past four years, Ukraine has seen an increasing trend in the number of children with special educational needs involved in the educational process in general secondary education institutions, rising from 0.45% in 2020 to 0.89% in 2023. However, pedagogical approaches for each specific type of developmental disorder among children with SEN, considering their level of support and educational-methodical provision in physical education, have not been developed. Moreover, there is a pressing issue of staffing and the need to train physical education specialists for inclusive education.

Beyond 2030: structures for achieving sustainable development

With 2030 quickly approaching and hence the end of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) timeline, it is necessary to start the conversation as to what the post-2030 international development goals, that will take over from the SDGs, will look like. Building on the experiences of implementing the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and SDGs, there is the possibility of making the post-2030 goals the most efficient and successful to date. This perspective explores the lessons that have been learnt from the MDGs and SDGs, and together with a consideration of emerging global trends develops proposals for post-2030 goals and targets. In total seven goals are suggested: (1) Operate within planetary boundaries (2) Create growth within resource limits (3) Provide access to basic services for all (4) Eliminate poverty and hunger (5) Reduce inequality (6) Deliver good health and education for all (7) Build strong institutions and international partnerships. The goals are categorised as being: (i) Environmental and Economic (ii) Physical Assets (iii) Social, and (iv) Collaboration. System interdependencies and possible causal connections between the proposed post-2030 goals are also explored. A novel approach of five yearly assessments of the risks involved if the targets are not met, together with suggestions for corrective action is discussed, which will help inform governments and decision makers of the urgent actions needed. To avoid a disruptive future, careful formulation of the post SDG period beyond 2030 is urgently needed to provide a fair and consistent framework to hold both government and industry to account at local, national, and international levels. This will require the strengthening of existing international institutions and strategies for the financing of development.

Analysis of Stakeholder Behavior Adjustment Strategies for Entrepreneurship Education in Higher Education Institutions from the Perspective of Digital Collaboration

Under the background of digital age, this study discusses the behavior debugging strategies of stakeholders in entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities. The research significance is that with the rapid development of information technology, digital collaboration has become an important force to promote the development of entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities. Through questionnaire survey and data analysis, it is found that college students' cognitive interest in innovation and entrepreneurship fluctuates regularly with time, and college entrepreneurship education should adjust curriculum design and teaching methods according to this cognitive law. The research suggests that colleges and universities should integrate the resources and advantages of teachers, students, parents, businesses, financial institutions and communities, strengthen cooperation through digital platforms, and optimize the implementation path of entrepreneurship education. At the same time, the government should provide policy support, narrow the digital gap between universities, build a cooperation platform, and promote data security and privacy protection. These strategies aim to improve the quality of education and cultivate innovative entrepreneurial talents to meet the needs of the digital age.

Grounded Theory on Creating and Maintaining Adult Education Programs in Selected Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines

&lt;p style="text-align:justify"&gt;This study is an attempt to develop a grounded theory on how adult education in higher education (AEHE hereafter) programs in the Philippines are created and maintained. The grounded theory illustrates the interrelation of factors that stimulate or serve as the drivers of AEHE in higher education institutions in the Philippines as well as the management and maintenance of AEHE at the operational and strategic levels, hence illustrating the bigger picture of adult education in higher education in the Philippines. Funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) of the Philippines, this study was part of a larger research project that investigated adult education in Philippine higher education institutions, that is, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs). The data were derived from focus group discussions (FGD) with 43 participants from eight SUCs and nine private HEIs that have adult education programs that are regularly offered every academic year. The grounded theory drawn from the study pointed to the contextual – personal and institutional – factors, strategic and operational levels of management as well as the critical role of academic policy for the implementation and maintenance of AEHE programs, collaboration, and a compelling vision to ensure that adult education in higher education in the Philippines is prioritized in the country with involvement of relevant government agencies that will draw definite agendas and priorities to attain the goals of AEHE through a structure and management to carry out its functions and realize its compelling objective of creating a cadre of AEHE educators and specialists and adults suited for the demands of a knowledge-driven economy.&lt;/p&gt;

The synthesis of empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and biblical insights not only enhances our understanding of the transformative potential of positive relationships in higher education but also underscores their pivotal role in fostering holistic development on a spiritual level. Through this comprehensive exploration, the study contributes significantly to the discourse on the symbiotic relationship between academic success and spiritual growth, emphasizing the importance of nurturing positive relationships as a cornerstone of holistic education in higher learning institutions.&lt;/p&gt;

Spiritual Experience as a Predictor of Organizational Commitment among Nurse Educators in Government Higher Education Institutions

Filipino spirituality is deeply rooted in their sense of meaning. In Filipino culture, spirituality transcends the religious aspect. This study aimed to determine if spiritual experience is related to and can predict organizational commitment among nursing educators. By examining how spiritual experience is related to organizational commitment, the research aimed to provide evidence of what can potentially predict loyalty to the workplace among nursing educators. The study utilized survey questionnaires to measure spiritual experience and organizational commitment. The questionnaires were administered online through Google Forms to 80 nurse educators currently teaching in government higher education institutions (HEIs) in the CALABARZON and NCR areas. Data analysis was conducted using JAMOVI. Participants have high (frequent) spiritual experience and average organizational commitment. Results revealed significant positive relationship between spiritual experience and affective commitment; spiritual experience and normative commitment; and spiritual experience and overall organizational commitment (total scale). Spiritual experience was also found to significantly predict affective commitment, normative commitment, and overall organizational commitment. Spiritual experience was not related to and did not predict continuance commitment. This study demonstrates that fostering and promoting the practice and expression of nurse educators' spirituality in the workplace may enhance organizational commitment. The findings of this study advocate for the integration of spirituality in the workplace, fostering an organizational culture centered on spirituality, wherein individuals discover meaning and purpose in their work.

Leadership and Conflict Management: Strategies for Managing Conflict in Higher Education Institutions

This study analyzes conflict management strategies through adaptive leadership models to improve educational institutional performance. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used a thematic analysis approach, coding and identifying main themes related to leadership strategies and conflict management. The study results indicate that transparent and open leadership, developing clear conflict policies, creating a collaborative culture, and utilizing a proactive approach are the main strategies that can reduce the frequency and impact of conflict. These findings emphasize the importance of adapting leadership strategies based on local contexts and organizational culture to improve the effectiveness of conflict management. The implications of this study include providing new insights for leaders of higher education institutions to develop more relevant and contextual conflict management policies and practices. This study also suggests the need for further research to expand the scope of research by considering variations in gender, age, and wider survey methods to obtain a more comprehensive picture. Thus, the results of this study can contribute to developing more effective conflict management policies in higher education environments.

Investigating the Impact of Educational Aspirations, Study Habits, Parental Involvement, and Institutional Environment on Saudi EFL Learners’ Language Proficiency

The study assesses the impact of educational aspirations, study habits, parental involvement, and institutional environment on Saudi EFL learners’ language proficiency. It also examines if the demographic profiles of Saudi EFL learners differently shaped their worldviews and responses. As the study focuses on how certain independent variables (educational aspirations, study habits, parental involvement, and institutional environment) impacted the dependent variable (language proficiency), a descriptive quantitative approach was employed to collect data from respondents using a self-designed questionnaire with partial adoption of modified items. A simple random sample method was used to select 131 respondents (10% of the population) from the undergraduate population at the College of Science &amp; Humanities and College of Business Administration, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. The findings revealed that educational aspirations followed by institutional environment, study habits, and parental engagement affected the language proficiency of Saudi EFL learners. One way ANOVA analysis showed that year/level of study causes significant differences in the means of the study respondents. However, no statistically significant difference was observed in the means of the responses based on the professional profiles of their parents. The findings of the study hold significance for both language instructors and policymakers for effective teaching and policy making.

Research on Mixed Reality Hand Interaction Technology in Flight Simulation Teaching

Abstract The integration of mixed reality simulation training in institutional education and teaching processes can yield significant quality benefits. Non-wearable interactive methods represent a more natural form of hand interaction within flight cockpits, covering various emerging fields such as mixed reality, computer vision, and human-computer interaction. This paper is guided by a “human-centered” approach to natural human-computer interaction and proposes a virtual hand mixed reality interaction scheme based on hand natural feature points. This study introduces a hand detection, segmentation, and recognition algorithm based on skin colour and key hand feature points. Initially, the algorithm uses the Otsu adaptive threshold algorithm in the YCbCr space for skin colour detection to accommodate varying image brightness levels. Subsequently, it employs a hand Keypoint model for rapid hand detection within skin-like areas while excluding interference from other regions. During the process of hand tracking, optimization prediction is performed using the particle filter algorithm combined with the artificial fish swarm algorithm to achieve tracking accuracy within six pixels in both horizontal and vertical directions. Gesture recognition involves extracting Fourier descriptive contour features of the hand bone structure through identification of feature points. Furthermore, this study combines the optimization capabilities of the artificial fish swarm algorithm to enhance support vector machine model parameter optimization for improved recognition rates. Testing involved 800 processed images as part of a test set for gesture recognition; only five commonly used gestures within flight cockpits were recognized and classified with an accuracy rate reaching up to 98%. Finally, this research presents virtual representations of common operational gestures including natural hand states, control stick manipulation, and throttle handling positions, button activations, and rotational movements via head-mounted displays or screens. The proposed mixed reality-based hand gesture interaction system addresses challenges related to complex background interference during hand detection in cockpit environments as well as issues arising from lighting disturbances. Additionally it resolves problems associated with insufficient particles leading to tracking failures while significantly enhancing registration effects during tracking processes. Moreover it mitigates issues related to Fourier descriptive features being influenced by background variations or changes in pose along with limitations pertaining to expressing singular forms of gestures thereby improving overall classification accuracy.

Communication and Organizational Learning in Teachers of Public Educational Institutions

The study focuses on analysing internal communication and organizational learning as current constructs in regular basic education in public educational institutions, establishing the correlation of variables and explaining the level of significance of these interactions in some of their most relevant dimensions. A quantitative approach and correlational design were used for the methodology. The sampling was probabilistic, composed of 172 regular elementary school teachers. The data collection technique was the survey. Spearman's Rho statistic was used to process the information. The conclusion of the study showed that there is a significant inverse relationship between internal communication and organizational learning in the teaching staff, explaining that while internal communication obtained 74.4% of satisfactory mastery, organizational learning reached 7.6% at the high level, which reveals the need and urgency for teachers and managers to innovate strategies to achieve organizational learning, taking as a starting point the high levels of internal communication experienced by the teaching staff in the educational institutions investigated.

This article comprehensively examines that the value system is an important category in human life in difficult and turbulent times. It is human nature to adapt to values. Without the values of the phenomena of existence, neither the activity nor the life of man as a social being has any meaning. Education through universal values is the main way out of spiritual immorality. Today, the system of higher education is based on the search for new benchmarks. In this regard, it is necessary to define the main goal of current education in higher education institutions and to set its direction.
