Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) have therapeutic value in various cardiovascular diseases and have protective effects on the heart, blood vessels, and kidneys; they are cornerstone drugs in the management of hypertension, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. Despite the continual emergence of new drugs, ACEIs remain indispensable. The appropriate use of ACEIs helps reduce the risks of adverse cardiovascular events and mortality. In light of updates on the concept of interdisciplinary integration and the further accumulation of evidence from evidence-based medicine, the Chinese Society of Cardiology, the Editorial Board of the Chinese Journal of Cardiology, and the Hypertension Professional Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association convened domestic experts in relevant fields to update the recommendations for applying ACEIs in cardiovascular diseases and to compile this consensus, with the aim of providing a reference for clinical physicians in China and improving the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

An important aspect of NSQ is having scholarly submissions peer-reviewed to determine publication decisions, such as reject, accept with revisions, or accept. These decisions are based on feedback from the comments of peer-reviewers, along with the alignment of the submitted papers with the journal's purpose and aims. NSQ looks forward to reviewers joining the editorial board or being contacted through the Web of Science to provide peer reviews for submitted works. The refinement and expansion of unique nursing and health sciences knowledge must continue well into the 21st century; this continuation is dependent on scholars and researchers serving as peer reviewers.

- BioNatura Journal: Ibero-American Journal of Biotechnology and Life Sciences
- Nelson Santiago Vispo
BioNatura Journal celebrates its third anniversary by denoting a transition from an emerging publication to a consolidated scientific platform, driven by foundational efforts in 2024 and 2025. This period emphasized operational maturity and moral standards, highlighted by a constant publication cadence of four issues per year. Technological evolution was achieved through a formal migration to Open Journal Systems (OJS) to standardize metadata and ensure digital archiving via PKP PN and LOCKSS/CLOCKSS. Furthermore, the journal implemented an "Online First" policy to eliminate artificial delays in knowledge dissemination while retaining persistent DOIs. The success of its Open Access model is evidenced by over 1.16 million PDF downloads across 116 countries in 2025, as well as its inclusion in the OpenAlex ecosystem to foster candid communication. With a rigorous double-blind peer-review process and a diverse editorial board representing 22 countries, BioNatura published 180 articles involving authors from 27 nations. These results support the journal's role as a mature, international bridge for scientific collaboration in biotechnology and life sciences.

The Editorial Board would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the reviewers who contributed their time and scholarly expertise to the issue of the Global Health Management Journal (Vol. 9, No. 1, 2026). This issue begins with a timely reminder that tackling non-communicable diseases demands shared responsibility and sustained care at every stage of life (Ajeigbe et al., 2026). Innovation runs alongside this theme, from fresh ways to raise awareness of sexual and gender-related violence to powerful images of health initiatives reaching remote communities in Nepal (Besigye et al., 2026; Adhikari et al., 2026). This issue also deeply explores the structural and behavioral determinants of health; from a correlational study on fast food consumption that shaping future health risks (Sulistyowati et al., 2026), to a compelling examination of child marriage reframes with profound global health implications (Macnab, 2026). Moreover, the research articles extend these discussions into behavioral, social, and biomedical domains. Alongside a thoughtful perspective that reexamines youth resilience in Africa through intergenerational care and indigenous support systems (Gasa & Kpum, 2026), the issue raises a best practice study on fresh fish stall businesses supporting nutritional health in Indonesia (Haqiqiansyah et al., 2026). Finally, a laboratory-based research on the antibacterial activity of Muntingia calabura leaf extract reflects the continued importance of scientific inquiry in addressing infectious threats (Fadilah et al., 2026). - Acta Gastro Enterologica Belgica
- H De Schepper + 1 more
We are delighted to present you with a brand new issue of Acta Gastro-Enterologica Belgica. In this edition you will not only find our usual offering of high-quality original manuscripts, reviews and case reports. The first issue of each year traditionally also includes all abstracts accepted for the Belgian Week of Gastroenterology (February 11th-13th 2026, Antwerp, Belgium). This rich collection is well worth browsing through, as it paints an impressive picture of the wide range of basic and clinical research that was (and is) performed in Belgium, in all fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. Including this catalogue in Acta is the result of a longstanding, logical and fruitful collaboration between Acta Gastro-Enterologica Belgica and the Belgian Week of Gastroenterology, as both organisations have always provided a platform for national research achievements and will continue to do so in the years to come.
