BENTUK PENGELOLAAN OBJEK WISATA ALAM PANTAI LINTUI NEGERI KOBI KABUPATEN MALUKU TENGAH

In managing ecotourism, the involvement of local communities in participating activities is very important. The aim of this research is to determine the forms of community-based ecotourism management at the Lintui Beach Natural Tourism Object (OWA). The method used is a survey method where data is obtained by interviewing or filling in a list of questions, direct observation and literature study. The research results show that the form of ecotourism management at OWA Lintui Beach includes; involved in maintaining the cleanliness of the beach (83.33%), involved in arranging opening and closing times for visits (63.33%), involved in determining entrance ticket prices (50%), providing facilities (76.67%), repairing damaged facilities ( 66.66%) and plans to build footpaths (66.66%), as well as involving BUMNeg to provide facilities for food and visitor needs as well as tour guide services.

Whale shark abundance, spatial distribution and effective tourism areas in the northern Mexican Caribbean

ABSTRACT Every year, from June to September, the whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is present in the Mexican Caribbean and has become a highly attractive tourist resource. In this study, we assess the spatial and temporal distribution of whale sharks and estimate the size of the effective tourism area from data collected between 2016 and 2021. The main whale shark aggregation site in the Mexican Caribbean is called ‘El Azul’, it has an average size of 400 km2. Using aerial survey data, we found 37 whale shark aggregations where we counted 1–170 individuals and 16–150 tourist boats. The average size of the area covered by these groups was 2.9 km2. The highest density of whale sharks was recorded in 2020 (48 whale sharks per km2) and the lowest in 2021 (5 whale sharks per km2). Estimating the effective tourism area (where whale shark tourism takes place) within the entire aggregation area is important to refine tourism carrying capacity calculations and to avoid miscalculations that could lead to over-exploitation of whale shark tourism activities with negative consequences for the species. The information from this study is directly applicable to adaptive ecotourism management, improving the sustainability of whale shark tourism, and biological monitoring.

SWOT analysis of Ecotourism development in Sembilang National Park, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, Indonesia

Tourism is one of the dynamic industrial activities for a country's income. Tourism can take the form of ecotourism with potential factors for nature conservation and development. Ecotourism is a form of tourism that is primarily inspired by the natural history of an area, including the area's indigenous culture. Effective sustainable ecotourism management must use strategic planning. Strategic planning can use the SWOT matrix. In general, the strengths of Sembilang National Park are the uniqueness of migratory birds from Siberia that do not exist anywhere else and the presence of exotic animal habitats. The weakness of Sembilang National Park is that transportation is still dominated by waterways and there is a lack of clean water sources. The opportunities for Sembilang TN include financial assistance and international recognition. Meanwhile, the threat to Sembilang National Park is weather conditions which greatly affect waterways. From the weighting results, it is found that the position of Sembilang TN is on the X axis with a value of 9. So it can be concluded that Sembilang TN is at a positive point on the The position of the Sembilang National Park development strategy is in Quadrant I, namely the strategy of utilizing all strengths to seize and exploit maximum opportunities.

Does Ecotourism in Nature Reserves Have an Impact on Farmers’ Income? Counterfactual Estimates Based on Propensity Score Matching

Farmers’ participation in ecological tourism management in nature reserves is an important way to increase income. Based on 921 pieces of household survey data from 44 villages in six nature reserves in Liaoning Province, this paper uses multiple linear regression (OLS) and propensity score matching (PSM) to explore the impact of ecotourism on rural household income. The research results show that (1) a total of 90 rural households participated in ecotourism management, accounting for 9.78% of the total, and 831 rural households did not participate in ecotourism management, accounting for 90.22% of the total. The participation rate of farmers around the nature reserves was not high; (2) the participation in ecotourism management of farmers around the nature reserve has a positive and significant impact on the per capita annual net income of their households; and (3) multiple linear regression analysis will overestimate the income effect of ecotourism. This article provides inspiration for the government to propose relevant policies to encourage farmers to participate in ecotourism.

Sustainable Tourism Management at EcoMangrove Ulam Sari Kedonganan

The Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan tourist attraction is one of Bali's ecotourism destinations, offering educational and recreational experiences in a mangrove forest area. The increasing number of visitors poses potential negative impacts on the environment and society. This service aims to analyze sustainable tourism management at Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan. The findings show that sustainable tourism management at Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan is still not optimal. The ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects need to be better integrated. The ecological aspect has yet to be fully implemented in waste management, wastewater treatment, and carrying capacity. The economic aspect could have been more optimal in increasing local income and equitable economic benefits. The socio-cultural aspect has yet to be fully applied in local community empowerment and cultural preservation. Based on the findings, several strategies are recommended to improve sustainable tourism management at Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan:1. Implementing better waste and wastewater management systems, 2. Developing more creative and innovative ecotourism, 3. Increasing local community participation in ecotourism management, 4. Strengthening education and awareness for tourists about ecotourism

MANGROVE FOREST MANAGEMENT STRATEGY IN BEDUL, BANYUWANGI: COLLABORATION BETWEEN COMMUNITY AND ALAS PURWO NATIONAL PARK FOR SUSTAINABLE ECOTOURISM DEVELOPMENT

This study aimed to: (1) identify the condition of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove forest area for sustainable ecotourism; (2) evaluate the fitness of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove forest for sustainable ecotourism; (3) evaluate collaboration between the community and the management of Alas Purwo National Park in conserving Bedul mangrove forest areas; and (4) design a management strategy for the Bedul mangrove forest for developing sustainable ecotourism. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a survey technique constructed using a remote sensing approach and a Geographic Information System (GIS). Landsat and Quickbird satellite imagery are used to identify temporal changes in mangrove forests and temperature over the last decade. Quickbird remote sensing data are used to evaluate the current land use associated with community activities in mangrove areas and government policies related to the presence of mangrove forests. The results showed that: 1) the condition of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove area from 1995-2022 was in a stable state. ; 2) the fitness of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove forest for sustainable ecotourism is included in the S2 category or following with the Bedul mangrove ecotourism fitness index; 3) the collaborative management of the Bedul mangrove ecotourism between the community (fishing community, local government) and the management of Alas Purwo National Park is continuing good to maintain the condition of the mangroves and provide economic benefits to the community in a sustainable manner; 4) the management strategy implemented is to maintain the quality and quantity of Bedul mangroves and supporting facilities in a sustainable manner. This research can be used as a reference for future research into sustainable ecotourism, as well as for the government to create policies that support sustainable ecotourism.

Integration of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) Index and Biophysical Assessment for Sustainable Ecotourism Mangrove: A Case Study of Karangsong, Indonesia

Marine ecotourism is one of the pivotal sectors that supports the sustainability of marine ecosystems and elevates the socioeconomic status of the country. Karangsong is located on the northern side of the Indramayu districts, covering approximately 25 hectares of mangrove. The significant number of tourists visiting sites of mangrove ecotourism in Indonesia contributed to the tourist intentions associated with the diversity of mangrove and management strategies. How the community-based tourism (CBT) index aligns with biophysical assessment is still unclear. This study aimed to investigate the interconnectedness between the community-based tourism (CBT) index and biophysical assessment to measure the ratio number of tourists using the carrying capacity and sustainability index in Karangsong. A potential new suitability index for mangrove tourism was created. The various factors such as the mangrove ecosystem, substrate, and suitability that impacted the development of mangrove tourism were quantitatively analyzed. Our study identified that the majority of mangrove ecotourism sites in Karangsong Indramayu Regency consist of rich diverse mangrove species. The biophysical characteristics of the mangrove ecosystem were assessed with a suitability index of 83.7%. Our results indicated that the operations of mangrove tourism in the Karangsong region are well-managed and maintained. The region has a carrying capacity of 803 people/day, which refers to the maximum number of individuals for this area. This finding provides a more detailed understanding of the contribution of the new sustainability index of mangrove tourism and community-based tourism (CBT) approach assessing the potential development and challenges in the management of mangrove forests ecotourism.

Challenges and Opportunities Facing Ecotourism in Sub-Saharan Africa from Climate Change Desertification

This study explores one aspect of the macro-atmospheric phenomenon of amplified climate change that is causing significant micro manifestation challenges in one of the most fragile ecosystems on earth, sub-Saharan Africa. The micro manifestation of desertification impacts humans, flora, and fauna all of whom already struggle to survive in these areas. Desertification in turn effects ecotourism. Desertification is a type of land degradation in which biological productivity is reduced and where fertile areas become arid. Desertification causes the loss of vegetation and food for livestock and humans and a decrease in drinking water reserves. Our examination researches the extents of desertification in the area and the effect it is having on ecotourism. We explore the strategies for proper ecotourism management and planning that are being utilized to offset these effects and explore how these strategies can and are being utilized to offset these effects and even supply numerous economic resources for government, private sector, and local groups to help improve living conditions and quality of life. Ecotourism in these unique ecosystems that are impacted by climatic changes provide a meaningful opportunity to enhance the lives of host communities and protect the environment. During a recent visit to Namibia, I found residents who are utilizing innovative strategies such as solar energy, rainwater collection and other innovations to protect the ecosystem, wildlife and environment and allow them to continue to continue to host ecotourists and provide services. Resources for ecotourism in deserts are made of the mutual effect of topography, climate, water, wildlife, plant type and density. Previous studies have shown that if ecotourism is properly managed and planned, it has the potential for numerous economic resources for the local community. We examine the extent of desertification in these semi-arid deserts, the planning and management of ecotourism activities, and the role that education of these ecosystems could provide for additional economic resources and ecological protection.

The ecotourism potential in Senjoyo Village, Salatiga, lies in its beautiful natural landscapes and enjoyable water activities, supported by adequate infrastructure and facilities. Accessibility to Senjoyo Salatiga is convenient, with a friendly local community. The ecotourism management strategy in Senjoyo Salatiga focuses on maximizing promotion, improving road access, enhancing and supplementing ecotourism activity facilities, fostering the local community as ecotourism guides, and implementing training on tourism awareness and the importance of preserving the ecotourism site in Senjoyo Salatiga.

Increasing Globalization Business and Ecotourism Branding on the Beach of Delegan, Gresik, East Java

Developing and managing ecotourism is an effort to utilize local resources optimally. Delegan Beach in Gresik, East Java, is an area for the management and development of ecotourism. This study aims to determine the potential resources in the Delegan beach tourism object using the Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Based on the analysis, Delegan Beach has potential ecotourism because of the sloping beach topography, calm waves, and white sand. However, the development of Dalegan Beach as ecotourism has several obstacles, including the lack of supporting infrastructure for tourist attractions, cooperation between village communities and local governments, and poor management so that ecotourism development has not been maximized. The main priority of the policy regarding management studies and the potential of the Gresik coastal area, according to stakeholder perceptions, is the empowerment of human resources 51%, then followed by the development of tourism branding by 26% as the second priority, followed by the development of tourist destinations by 16%, and the last is ecotourism-based management. by 8%. The study’s results also show that the determinants of the development of the Delegan Beach tourism area influence the forms of participation carried out by the local community. The resulting development directions include utilizing various resources, developing facilities as community business opportunities, empowering community skills, increasing area promotion, and efforts to preserve the environment.

Tourism Carrying Capacity of Community Based Ecotourism: Case Study of Olo-Olo Mangrove Forest, and Eco-Park in Lobo, Batangas, Philippines

The purpose of this research is to analyze the Tourism Carrying Capacity of recreational activities in a community-based tourism destination and determine the sustainability of the ecotourism management in Olo-Olo Mangrove Forest and Eco Park in Lobo, Batangas, Philippines, by calculating the physical ecological and social carrying capacity of the recreational activities of the community-based ecotourism site. The method utilized in this research is mixed, measuring quantitative analysis of Carrying capacities using Boullon’s Model applied with the Limits of Acceptable Change (LAC) framework. A qualitative approach was used in determining the social and ecological carrying capacity and recorded preferences of the site manager and the visitors. The study reveals that the total physical carrying capacity may range from 79 to 2488 tourists per day; ecological- solid wastes capacity of 333 tourists daily; ecological- water availability capacity of 20 tourists daily; and social carrying capacity of 900 to 1200 tourists daily. The combined tourism carrying Capacity of OMFE shows that the mangrove park can accommodate a wide range of tourists per day depending on which LAC scenario. The current tourist influx in OMFE is only 26 visitors daily on average, which is far below the computed combined carrying capacity. It is still directed towards sustainable ecotourism. Conservation of Endemic Birds Through the Willingness to Pay Tourists in the Manusela National Park Eco-Tourism Area

Ecotourism management requires a lot of funds, so through ecotourism activities visitors can get involved in supporting the conservation of the area through willingness to pay (WTP). The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions and preferences of tourists and the willingness to pay visitors (WTP) in supporting the conservation of typical bird species in MNP. Determination of the sample using accidental sampling technique. The number of samples used was 38 tourists. The characteristics and perceptions of visitors were analyzed using qualitative descriptive, while the willingness to pay of tourists used quantitative analysis. The results showed of the calculation WTP to support the conservation of endemic bird species through the management of birdwatching ecotourism attractions obtained a value of 2,000 000, -. This value indicates that the appropriate price for birdwatching ecotourism services in Masihulan Village for tourists is 2,000,000,-.

An empirical analysis of the role of experience and attitude on ecotourism consumption behaviour

ABSTRACT This study examine the factors that shape consumers’ ecotourism consumption behaviour and choices focusing on attitudes, behaviour choices, and the mediating role of ecotourism consumption attitudes. A quantitative approach was used, and data were collected through a questionnaire-based survey administered to 881 ecotourists at three 5A-level scenic spots in Tian Shan World Natural Heritage sites in China. Using the structural equation model, the findings reveal that consumption attitudes, values, and social norms positively influence ecotourism consumption behaviour choices through the mediating effect of ecotourism consumption attitudes. Furthermore, the perception of destination attraction experience directly and positively impacts consumption attitudes. These results provide valuable insights into the consumption behaviour of eco-tourists in the World Natural Heritage Site, informing sustainable ecotourism management strategies.

Stakeholders analysis of tourism governance in Dalegan beach ecotourism, East Java, Indonesia

This study was conducted to examine the roles of interconnected stakeholders based on power and interests in Ecotourism Management Policy for Dalegan Beach, Gresik Regency, Indonesia using a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions with stakeholders. Furthermore, the identification of stakeholders interest in ecotourism development was based on the strengths, important positions, and influence of stakeholders categorized into several groups. The results showed that there were three categories of stakeholders, namely Main, Supporting, and Key. In the Village Government, Dalegan Beach Tourism Manager acted as a key player and the local community had the main role. Additionally, East Java Province Maritime and Fisheries Service, Gresik Regency Tourism and Creative Economy Office, Culture, Youth and Sports Office, Gresik Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service, and Commanditaire Vennotschaap Mahera (CV Mahera), the landowner, were recognized for lacking direct inclusion in policy matters. Different influences were reported on the legal decisions of the government to offer insights to policymakers in tourism governance. Subsequent study could examine the conflicts of interest among stakeholders.

Analysis of Local Community Ecological Knowledge on Mangrove Ecotourism Development in Talaga Yenelo, Sagea Village, North Weda District Central Halmahera District

Local ecological knowledge is knowledge and beliefs that are largely derived from observations of the ecological processes of resources in the surrounding area and the various factors that influence them based on the logical interpretation of local communities. Local ecological knowledge has an important role in informing sound spatial, spatial and temporal management approaches for marine spatial planning. The aim of this research is to identify the ecological knowledge of local communities regarding the mangrove ecosystem and 2) Community perceptions regarding the management of mangrove ecotourism in Talaga Yenelo in Sagea Village and 3). The level of perception of local communities regarding Ecotourism activities. The method used in this research is determining the sample in this research using a purposive sampling method, namely respondents who participate are deliberately selected by researchers according to the criteria of research respondents. To determine people's knowledge and perceptions, it is based on a Likert scale assessment system and multiple linear regression analysis to see the influence of several independent variables on one dependent variable. The research results show that the people of Sagea and Kiya villages have better knowledge of the local ecology of mangrove forests, especially mangrove habitat, factors of mangrove damage and the impact of mangrove damage compared to the function of mangroves. with the level of utilization of the mangrove ecosystem in the villages of Sagea and Kiya varying greatly. While understanding of mangrove ecotourism activities is very minimal, they agree with the ecotourism activities carried out. Therefore, there is a need for follow-up action from the government regarding mangrove forest management based on the mangrove forest environment.

RESEARCH ARTICLE OPEN ACCESS STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN DANAU SEPUNJUNG DESA RANTAU BARU KECAMATAN PANGKALAN KERINCI KABUPATEN PELALAWAN

Sepunjung Lake is a natural lake located in Rantau Baru Village which is a fishing area for the Rantau Baru community, especially for female fishermen who are widows. However, there is currently a decline in fish catches in Lake Sepunjung. This study was conducted to determine the existing condition of the lake, influencing factors, and formulate a management strategy for Lake Sepunjung. The methods used were field observations, interviews and literature studies. The analysis used included analysis for water quality, descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this study showed that the ecological condition of Lake Sepunjung is still in the good category, social conditions are good by maintaining local wisdom and minimal conflict, while economic conditions are still relatively low due to the low income of Rantau Baru fishermen. The resulting strategy is the S-O strategy, supporting all strengths and utilizing existing opportunities, by: (1) Establishing Village Regulations in an effort to protect the biophysical quality of lake waters, vegetation cover around the lake, and biodiversity in Lake Sepunjung; (2) Management of ecotourism based on local wisdom; and (3) Development of freshwater fisheries potential.

Strategi pengelolaan lingkungan ekowisata Sungai Gelombang di Desa Sipungguk Kecamatan Salo Kabupaten Kampar

Sungai Gelombang Ecotourism located in Sipungguk Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province which has the potential to be developed as an environmentally ecotourism. This study aims to analyze the existing conditions of the Wave River ecotourism environment and determine the right strategy in managing the Wave River ecotourism environment. The research was conducted from October 2022 to January 2023. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires, direct observation in the field, documentation and in-depth interviews with the community, visitors and stakeholders, as well as secondary data obtained from references related to ecotourism environmental management. Data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis show that the existing conditions of the Sungai Gelombang ecotourism ecology which includes rainfall, current, brightness, river area, color, depth, water temperature, pH, water bottom, vegetation, and biota are included in normal conditions that support ecological functions, Existing economic, socio-cultural, and institutional conditions show the need to increase the role of the surrounding community and government. Based on the SWOT analysis of Sungai Gelombang ecotourism management with the S-O (Strength - Opportunity) strategy. The strategy is to increase the role of the surrounding community and government with programs that support environmental conservation

Environmental sustainability through Sendang Sombomerti ecotourism management

Ecotourism is a model of sustainable tourism that is environmentally sound and needs to be developed. Ecotourism needs to be developed because it prioritizes environmental sustainability and pays attention to the balance of interactions between humans and nature. Thus, finding out how and to what extent ecotourism management supports environmental sustainability is this research’s focus point and objective. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive type. The descriptive type was chosen because it aims to obtain an overview of how and to what extent the local community ability to preserve the environment through the management of Sendang Sombomerti ecotourism in Sombomerten Village, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Primary data and secondary data also support data collection. Research informants were selected using the snowball sampling technique. The collected data were then analyzed using source triangulation. Based on the results of field data analysis, it is known that the local community management of Sendang Sombomerti ecotourism in preserving the environment can be categorized as good because it is by the principles of ecotourism development. So that realizing good environmental sustainability will be easily achieved and maintained, community economic sustainability will also be more easily realized.

Directions of Ecotourism Organization in Uzbekistan

This article examines the directions of ecotourism development in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which has a significant natural and cultural potential. The current state of ecotourism infrastructure is analysed and key problems that hinder its effective functioning are identified. As a result of the study, the existing ecotourism sites are systematized by areas of activity, and recommendations are proposed for improving the management and development of ecotourism in the country. Particular attention is paid to the issues of rational use of natural resources, enhancing the quality of services and attracting investment on the basis of public-private partnership. The findings of the study emphasize the importance of an integrated approach to the organization of ecotourism, which contributes not only to the preservation of natural heritage, but also to the sustainable economic development of the regions.
