Recreational sea angler typologies inform fishery management by describing participation and behaviour. In some sectors, typologies are questioned due to inconsistency across methodologies and impacts that different analytical techniques have on results. Ways to efficiently capture typology data and identify statistical distortion are also important considerations in their development. These issues are relevant to the UK where a policy-facing typology of recreational sea anglers, involving a complex data framework, was first published in 2025. The study presented in this paper tested a simplified version of the original framework. Two-step clustering was performed on raw angler responses and compared to the outcomes of the original analysis. This generated insights on the impact of the different analyses and the theoretical nature of typologies. Due to an insufficient silhouette coefficient and necessary removal of variables from the data framework, it was not possible to replicate the original typology (consumers, trophy, leisure-identity and social anglers). A new model described diversity in the sample consisting of mid- and high-level environmentalist clusters. The alternative typology offered simpler design and demonstrated a closer relationship between raw angler responses and case positioning. It did not perform as well as the original when explaining variation in angler stewardship behaviours and is therefore considered weaker in its predictive and practical utility. The study demonstrated that typologies are dependent on the data type and associated analytical methods used in their development and, relatedly, their conceptualisation at design stages. As a result, important observations are made on the theoretical nature of typologies. • New analysis of data used to form existing typology of UK recreational sea anglers. • Aimed to simplify data to replicate types: consumers, trophy, identity and social. • New analysis/typology required comprising mid- and high-level environmentalists. • Stronger because of its simplicity yet weaker in its ability to predict behaviour. • Advances scholarly thinking on the theoretical nature and application of typologies.

This study aims to determine the effect of Authentic Leadership and Service Culture on Employee Performance at Fox Lite Hotel Samarinda. The number of samples in this study was 32 samples from a total population of 42 people. The data analysis method in this study used Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 4 software. The results of the study found that: (a) Authentic leadership has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. The results of hypothesis testing showed a path coefficient value of 0.234, a t-statistic of 1.904, and a p-value of 0.057. These values indicate that the better the implementation of authentic leadership, the employee performance tends to increase, but the effect is not statistically strong enough. Thus, authentic leadership has not been the main factor that directly determines the high and low employee performance at FOX Lite Hotel Samarinda. Hypothesis 1 which states that authentic leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance is not proven and is rejected; and (b) Service culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the hypothesis testing showed a path coefficient of 0.663, a t-statistic of 5.586, and a p-value of 0.000. This means that the better the service culture implemented, the higher the employee performance. Service culture has been shown to be a dominant factor in shaping employee work behavior, particularly in providing friendly, responsive, polite, consistent, safe, and customer-satisfaction-oriented service. Hypothesis 2, which states that service culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, was proven and accepted.

In this study, ground blast furnace slag (GBFS) and waste volcanic rock dust (RD) produced in a natural stone processing plant were used as binders. The binders were activated with Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3) to produce two types of concrete: alkali-activated concrete without fibers (AAC) and alkali-activated concrete with fibers (FAAC). In the production of concrete, steel and polyester fibers were used separately and hybrid at 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.0% by volume and a total of 117 15x15x15 cm cube specimens were produced. The mechanical properties of the specimens were evaluated by concrete surface hardness, ultrasonic pulse velocity and concrete compressive strength tests at 3, 7 and 28 days. The results obtained using non-destructive test methods were matched with concrete compressive strength values using various empirical formulas. Calculated concrete compressive strength values and actual concrete compressive strength values were compared using data analysis method. As a result, it was observed that there was a very significant correlation between the experimental compressive strength and the combined method in which 7-day surface hardness and ultrasound transmission rate were used together to calculate the compressive strength.

As modern computers became increasingly more popular and larger amounts of digital data were available, different methodologies were proposed to extract information from data. CRISP-DM methodology quickly spread and is currently one of the most popular approaches used for data analysis. However, it has some shortcomings, such as being too general or business-centered. Different authors have proposed variations more suitable to specific fields in order to overcome those limitations. The present paper reviews CRISP-DM, some variations and similar methodologies, and proposes a Methodology for Industrial Data Analysis (MIDA)—a methodology conceived and improved over time, based on previous experience in industrial engineering processes. MIDA consists of eight steps and partially overlaps with CRISP-DM. It has been successfully applied in several previous projects.

In today's world, research and development activities of countries and cities, urban developments and economic developments have significant impacts on air transportation. The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of research and development (R&D) expenditures, urbanization population rate and gross domestic product (GDP) on air transportation using panel data analysis method. In the study, data of the upper-middle country group (Türkiye, Malaysia, Argentina, China, Bulgaria, South Africa, Colombia, Ecuador) for the period 1995-2019 were used. In this context, to determine the factors influencing air transportation, the number of air passengers was selected as the dependent variable, while the urbanization population rate, R&D expenditures, and GDP were selected as independent variables. The analysis included Delta homogeneity tests and cross-sectional dependence tests. Unit root analysis was conducted to assess the stationarity of the selected variables. Following the unit root tests, Pedroni cointegration, Kao, and Westerlund tests were conducted to determine the existence of a long-term relationship between the variables. After these two tests were applied, the panel ARDL method was used to determine the long-term coefficients between the selected factors. The causality between urbanization, R&D, economic growth and air transportation was examined with the Granger causality test. According to the econometric analysis findings of the research, it was concluded that R&D expenditures, urbanization population rate and GDP increased the number of passengers carried in the long term.

This article explores how three creative research methods – third objects, collaborative sandboxing, and LEGO® FUN PLAY®, were used to facilitate collective reflection at the end of a co-produced action research project, on sexual citizenship from researchers with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence. These methods formed part of the final stage of the Creative Collaborative Data Analysis Method, a framework we previously developed to make participatory data analysis more accessible (Mannion et al, 2024b). While reflection was ongoing throughout the project, these creative approaches provided new ways to generate insights, support analysis, and conclude the enquiry. This manuscript details how each method was adapted for accessibility and collaboration, evaluates their use in generating insights and supporting reflection, and assesses their benefits and limitations, with a view to their potential for broader application in participatory research. In doing so, it offers new insights into how creative reflection can enable researchers with intellectual disabilities to actively shape, lead, and interpret the research process.

This study was motivated by the importance of understanding the genealogy of thought concerning dakwah institutions through tracing the historical development and institutional transformation of dakwah from the classical, modern, to the contemporary period. This study aims to explain how dakwah institutions were formed, developed, and adapted to social, political, and technological changes in each phase of Islamic history. This study used a qualitative approach with a secondary data analysis method through a historical-philosophical approach to examine the dynamics of thought and practice of dakwah institutions. The results of the study show that in the classical period, dakwah institutions were centered on the mosque institution, which functioned as a center of worship, education, and community organization since the time of the Prophet. During the Khulafaur Rasyidin period, dakwah began to undergo a process of institutionalization through strengthening the structure of government, managing community administration, and expanding Islamic territory, which encouraged the emergence of more organized dakwah mechanisms. Entering the modern period, various dakwah institutions emerged, such as Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, Persatuan Islam, and Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, which brought diverse patterns of thought, methods, and dakwah strategies in accordance with their respective ideological and social orientations. Meanwhile, in the contemporary era, dakwah institutions underwent transformation through institutional professionalization, the digitalization of dakwah media, and the strengthening of global networks. However, these developments also gave rise to various problems, such as the commercialization of dakwah, the fragmentation of religious authority, and challenges in maintaining the substance of dakwah values amid the development of modern society’s thought. This study emphasizes that the genealogy of thought concerning dakwah institutions shows continuity, change, and dynamic adaptation in accordance with the historical context, while also expanding understanding of the development of dakwah institutions in Muslim society.

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability and liquidity on firm value in technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2022–2024. Profitability in this study is measured using Net Profit Margin (NPM), liquidity is measured using the Current Ratio (CR), while firm value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV). This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative research method. The data used are secondary data obtained from the financial statements of technology sector companies published on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling based on specific criteria to obtain companies that meet the research requirements. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of statistical software. The results of the study indicate that profitability does not have a significant effect on firm value. Likewise, liquidity does not have a significant influence on firm value. Simultaneously, profitability and liquidity only contribute a relatively small proportion in explaining variations in firm value. This finding indicates that in the technology sector, firm value is not only influenced by financial performance but also by other factors such as company growth prospects, technological innovation, and future business expansion strategies.

This study aims to explore the fundamental structure and essence of the thirst management experiences among patients undergoing hemodialysis. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 10 adult patients undergoing hemodialysis. Colaizzi's phenomenological data analysis method was employed to analyze the data. Seventeen themes were derived and organized into five theme clusters: (1) thirst as a physical experience; (2) thirst as a psychological experience; (3) inner conflict and addictive aspects of thirst management; (4) unmet needs in healthcare provider-led thirst management care; and (5) patients' self-directed development of personalized thirst self-management strategies. The fundamental structure and essence of thirst management experiences were captured as "An ongoing dialogue with thirst: navigating the body, mind, and everyday life in the pursuit of quenching thirst." Thirst is a deeply embodied and psychologically distressing phenomenon among patients undergoing hemodialysis. A holistic and individualized approach is required to support practical thirst management. Nurses should facilitate the development of patient-centered and process-oriented interventions grounded in patients' lived experiences.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Operational Excellence and Customer Experience on Customer Loyalty with Satisfaction and Word of Mouth as mediating variables in House of Metamorfit members. This study is motivated by the increasing competition in the fitness services industry, so companies need to understand the factors that can build customer loyalty sustainably. Customer loyalty is not only influenced by the quality of operational services, but also by customer experience and positive communication between customers formed during the process of using the service. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to House of Metamorfit members who met the research criteria. The number of respondents analyzed in this study was 396 respondents with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the help of the SmartPLS application. The results of the study indicate that Operational Excellence and Customer Experience have a positive and significant effect on Satisfaction and Word of Mouth. However, Operational Excellence and Customer Experience do not have a significant direct effect on Customer Loyalty. Satisfaction and Word of Mouth are proven to have a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty. Furthermore, satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between Operational Excellence and Loyalty, as well as between Customer Experience and Loyalty. Word of Mouth also acts as a mediator in the relationship between Operational Excellence and Customer Experience on Loyalty. The findings of this study indicate that customer loyalty is formed primarily through customer satisfaction and word of mouth communication, which emerges from the customer's service experience. Therefore, companies need to strengthen the quality of the customer experience, maintain consistent operational quality, and encourage positive word of mouth to increase customer loyalty.
