Pengembangan LKS Praktikum Berbasis KPS (Keterampilan Proses Sains) Untuk Meningkatkan Penguasaan Konsep Dan Sikap Ilmiah Siswa

The purpose of this study is to (1) Determine the validity of KPS-Based Student Worksheet practicum based on the results of the development (2) To describe the functioning of the results of the development of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum on food substances test, (3) Analyze the effectiveness of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum on the improvement of concept mastery on the Food Substance Test practicum, (4) Analyzing the effectiveness of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum on improving students' scientific attitudes on the Food Substance Test practicum. The research method uses a mixed approach (mix methods). Exploratory research design. The sample used as many as 36 students. Data collection techniques using multiple choice test questions, questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and average difference test, and the gain index. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that: (1) The assessment of the KPS-based Student Worksheets practicum developed was valid based on validator 1 and 2 assessments from didactic, linguistic, construction and engineering aspects. (2) Based on teacher and student assessment responses the functioning of the KPS-based Student Worksheets practicum that is developed is included in both categories in accordance with aspects of the assessment of the appropriateness of content, linguistic, presentation and graphic. (3) The development of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum is very effective to improve students concept mastery because students are guided in making observations, interpreting observations, classifying and predicting. Thus the first research hypothesis was proven. (4) The development of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum is very effective to improve students scientific attitudes, especially the attitude of curiosity, honest attitude, conscientious attitude and attitude of responsibility.

Development of Student Worksheets Based Inquiry using PhET Simulations to Enhance the Curiosity Attitude of High School Students

The research aims to develop inquiry-based worksheets which are expected to increase students' curiosity about gas kinetic theory material. The inquiry approach method was developed with steps, giving problems, formulating problems, hypotheses, experiments, collecting data, analyzing data, and making conclusions. The method used is the ADDIE development method, which analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates. Developing inquiry-based worksheets and testing the effectiveness of these worksheets in the learning process. The research subjects were 22 class XI students of SMA N 4 Sijunjung. The instrument used was a student worksheet and a curiosity attitude questionnaire. Assessment of the student worksheet was carried out by validation tests of media experts, material experts, and questionnaires for teachers. The validation results of media experts showed 92.30% (very good), and media experts scored 90.21% (very good), while trials on teachers and students showed scores of 86.13% and 89.16% (very good). The results of the student worksheet effectiveness test used the medium criterion N-Gain test, value 0.32. This shows that inquiry-based worksheets equipped with Phet simulations deserve to be good teaching materials and can increase students' curiosity in high school physics learning on the kinetic theory of gases.

EVALUATING FOUR FACTORS OF STUDENTS’ CAREER ADAPTABILITIES (CAA) USING PLS-SEM APPROACH

This article discusses the four factors affecting students' career adaptability abilities (CAA). These four factors are professional awareness, implementation ability, curiosity attitude, and confidence level in the academic setting. This study engaged a survey of Career Adapt Abilities among 345 Pre-service Physics Students of Teacher Education. The study utilized Smart-PLS version 4 to apply the PL-SEM method. PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling) analyses relationships between latent variables. It is particularly useful when the number of variables is large, and there is a limited sample size. PLS-SEM provides a combination of the strengths of both structural equation modelling (SEM) and partial least squares regression (PLS), making it suitable for investigating complex causal relationships in data with a high degree of collinearity and limited sample size. Additionally, PLS-SEM allows for examining direct and indirect effects among latent variables and can handle multiple dependent variables. These features make PLS-SEM suitable for this study. Results confirmed the positive and significant impact of four factors on the career adaptability of students: professional awareness (PA), implementation ability (IA), curiosity attitude (CA), and confidence level (CL). Based on these findings, recommendations are proposed to improve the student's career adaptability.

This type of research is field research or field research, namely research that is carried out intensively in detail and in depth on an organization, institution or certain symptoms. This research is descriptive, namely focusing on the current phenomenon being investigated by describing and classifying the facts or characteristics factually and accurately. This research is used to find out about what and how the state of a phenomenon or event and report it as it is. This study uses a qualitative approach, which is about the conditions in the field, researched, observed and based on the observations made. The fiqh subject aims to make SD IT Al Muhibbin students capable. Developing an interest in knowing and studying Islamic Shari'at to be responsive to the life of their environment, Growing an attitude of curiosity towards Islamic Shari'at, Growing awareness and responsibility in practicing Islamic Shari'at in everyday life, and Preparing them to attend education in schools Junior High School (SMP).

Is Problem Based Learning Assisted by Pop Up Book Effective in Improving Problem Solving Ability and Attitude of Curiosity?

Backgrounds:. This study aims to determine the effect of the PBL model with the help of pop up book media on the ability to solve problems and the attitude of curiosity in the fourth grade corner material of MIN 2 Sukoharjo (Islamic Elementary School 2 Sukoharjo), Indonesia. Methods:This research uses quantitative research with experimental research design which includes control and experimental classes. The control class uses the thematic learning model, while the experimental class uses the PBL learning model with the help of pop up book media. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, tests and questionnaires. Data analysis technique using t-test and multiple classification ANOVA test. Results:. Based on the results of data analysis, the value of tcount > ttable was obtained, namely the t-test of 5.14 > 5.14 and 4.37 > 2.04 while the ANOVA test was 2.49 > 2.44. Thus, it can be said that the PBL model assisted by pop up book media has an effect on the ability to solve problems and the attitude of curiosity in the fourth grade corner material of MIN 2 Sukoharjo. Implications:The implications of this research are: First, primary school principals in Indonesia must provide policies that support developing learning models and making learning media more creative and innovative. Second, teachers must provide models and media that are more creative and innovative to overcome the low problem solving abilities and curiosity of students. Novelty:This study reveals the implementation of the influence of the PBL model on problem solving and students' curiosity attitudes.

Scientific Attitude Assessment Instruments Using Self-Assessment in Project-Based Learning Development

Scientific attitude is very important in learning activities. In addition, one of the learning objectives stated that students must have character. Students must be able to solve problems scientifically to form a good character or attitude. Such learning can be realized by using contextual learning such as project-based learning, as well as using standard scientific attitude assessment instruments. However, this affective assessment has been less emphasized. Most educators prioritize cognitive aspects in their assessment activities. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a scientific attitude assessment using self & peer assessment in project-based learning. This research is a kind of R&D research that used the ADDIE development model. The purpose of this study is to analyze the validity of the instrument, the practicality of the instrument, and the effectiveness of the developed scientific attitude assessment instrument by using self & peer assessment in project-based learning. The sample used in this study was class VII A and B SMP N 04 Lambu Kibang totaling 48 students. The lesson taught was about environmental pollution. The results of the validity of the instrument analyzed using the CVR obtained 0.9. This means that the instrument validity was good. The results of the instrument's effectiveness can be seen from the scientific attitude that has excellent criteria. The assessment used in this study was only self-assessment because of the limited learning activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first learning step is having a scientific attitude of critical thinking, responsibility, and care for the environment. The second is having curiosity, perseverance, and responsibility. The third is having curiosity, critical thinking, and being objective. In the fourth learning step, the scientific attitudes that have excellent criteria are the attitude of being curious, objective, and persevering. The fifth learning step is being disciplined, caring for the environment, and having a critical thinking attitude. The sixth is an attitude of curiosity, perseverance, and responsibility.

PELATIHAN PENGURUSAN JENAZAH DI DESA SEBANGUN

This community service activity is in the form of managing corpses, which aims to provide knowledge and insight, especially on the procedures for managing corpses so that they can increase knowledge and practice of managing corpses in real terms in the community, especially in Sebagun Village. The target in this activity is the mosque's youth, totaling 30 people. The training was carried out using practical methods, lectures, and questions and answers. Community Service Activities can be carried out correctly and run smoothly following the activity plans that have been prepared, although not all participants have mastered the material presented well. This activity received an excellent response, as evidenced by the active participation of participants in the training until it was completed. This Community Service activity is to provide insight and knowledge to the youth of the Sebangun Village mosque. The training that has been carried out has been able to increase the knowledge of the trainees. Participants showed an attitude of curiosity about taking care of the corpse, so that the participants were enthusiastic in following it.

The Influence of Quantum Learning Models on Scientific Attitude

<p><em>The problem of this research was the scientific attitude that was consist of five dimensions, such as curiosity attitude, respect on the data, perseverance, cooperation with others, and sensitive on the environment of fifth grade. The objective of this research was to know the influence of quantum learning model on the students’ scientific attitude of fifth grade in science subject. The method used quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group design. The technique of collecting sample used saturation sampling. VA class as an experimental group that consist of 20 students. And VB class as control group that consist of 20 students. The instruments used questionnaire and observation. The technique of analysis in this research used t-test. It was aimed to find out the influence of quantum learning model on the students’ scientific attitude. The result of this research showed that quantum learning model was significant influential on the students’ scientific attitude of fifth grade in the material of panas dan perpindahannya. It took from the result of calculating data that showed sig. (2-tailed) 0.011 < 0.05. Thus, it showed that Ha was accepted. Therefore, it could be concluded that using quantum learning model can influence the students’ scientific attitude in science subject.</em><em></em></p>

Meningkatkan Sikap Rasa Ingin Tahu Melalui Penerapan Model Project Based Learning

Curiosity is a character that must be mastered by students to be able to learn independently. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the attitude of curiosity in grade 7A students. The research method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research model of Kemmis, Taggart & Nixon with the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting activities. The data collection instruments used in this study were the observation sheet of learning implementation and a curiosity attitude questionnaire. From the results of observations of the implementation of learning, there was an increase in the implementation of the PjBL learning model from cycle I and cycle II with a percentage score of 70.0 and 84.17. While the results of the questionnaire attitude of curiosity showed an increase in very high criteria with a score of 9.38% in the first cycle, an increase of 15.63% in the second cycle. So that it can be concluded that the PjBL model can increase the curiosity of students.

The article describes how primary, secondary, intergenerational and collective trauma are intertwined in our lived experience, especially in times of severe stress, such as the current coronavirus pandemic. An argument is made for personal and collective mourning, and for developing an attitude of curiosity, openness, acceptance, and love toward oneself and others who suffer traumatic stress. The foundational lifeline of trust in God is nurtured by the faith and practice of the church through the witness of Scripture, worship, prayer, song, and mutual caring.

PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM PROSES BELAJAR ANAK DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DALAM MENUMBUHKAN SIKAP ILMIAH (Studi Kasus Pada Siswa Usia 10-12 Tahun pada Mata Pelajaran IPA)

The purpose of this study was to identify the role of parents in fostering children's scientific attitudes in science lessons in the midst of the pandemic situation COVID-19. The method used in this research is a case study, namely the research design used to reveal in more detail and comprehensively the situation of the object being analyzed. In addition, researchers also use qualitative case study methods used to obtain information.
 The results showed that the planning of planting scientific attitudes by parents was to provide opportunities for children to demonstrate scientific attitudes. The implementation of planting scientific attitudes by showing examples of scientific attitudes, providing positive reinforcement or rewards for students who show scientific attitudes, and providing opportunities for students to show scientific attitudes. The attitudes shown in the indicators of scientific attitudes studied, namely the attitude of curiosity, objective attitudes towards data and sensitive attitudes towards the environment are included in the high quality category in this study. by: (a). the ability of parents who are not sufficient in guiding / accompanying their children to study at home, especially in material that involves the experimental process in the learning process, (b). The teacher's explanation time in online learning is considered by parents to be very short which results in confusion in accompanying children to study at home, (c). inadequate facilities and infrastructure.

A Increased Curiosity Attitudes and Mathematics Learning Achievement Through the Realistic Mathematics Learning Model (PMR) in Elementary Schools

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sikap rasa ingin tahu dan prestasi belajar peserta didik mata pelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran matematika realistik. Jenis Penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, satu siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD UMP. Tahapan kegiatan setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan (planning), Pelaksanaan tindakan (action), Observasi (observing) dan Refleksi (Reflecting). Pengumpulan data rasa ingin tahu dengan menggunakan lembar observasi rasa ingin tahu peserta didik sedangkan untuk mengumpulkan data prestasi belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan lembar evaluasi yang diberikan pada setiap akhir pertemuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) dapat meningkatkan sikap rasa ingin tahu dan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar pada kelas IV SD UMP.

The correlation among students’ response in apply problem based learning and cognitive conflict strategy to improve critical thinking skills and curiosity attitude based on academic level

The purposive of this research was to describe and analyse correlation of student’s response in applying Problem based learning and cognitive conflict strategy (PBLCCS) to improve critical thinking (CT) and curiosity attitude (CA). This research design was quantitative and qualitative research. The population was consisted of undergraduate students of mathematics education study program and samples were chosen purposive sampling. The instruments used in this research were observation, quationaire and interview sheets. The findings showed that : (1) response of students in increasing critical thinking (CT) and curiosity attitude (CA) in teaching and learning process through problem based learning model and cognitive conflict strategy based on academic level was positive and very good category and they helped student to solve problems given and there were correlation among them based on academic level. (2) There were correlation between of students’ response in applying Problem based learning and cognitive conflict strategy (PBLCCS) to improve critical thinking (CT) and curiosity attitude (CA) based on academic level. They were known through observations, questionaire and interviews results.

Fostering cultural competence awareness and dispositions to reach thirdness or decentering by engaging in intercultural dialogue

<p>The goals of this research were twofold. First, to measure changes in cultural awareness levels between two groups of students in their third semester of a Spanish class. The trained group formed by university students from the USA collaborated with another group of university students from Colombia using Skype. The second aim was to identify attitudes of decentering or thirdness in the trained group. This group met seven times during a 13-week semester to discuss a variety of cultural topics such as college life and daily routines. The control group addressed the same issues by examining them among members of the same class and answered a pre-and post-self-awareness questionnaire. Mixed factorial analysis of variance (ANOVA) results showed a significant increase in interculturality scores in the trained group. Furthermore, the qualitative analysis of the video recordings, essays, and video chats from the trained group showed dispositions to <em>decentering</em> (<em>thirdness</em>) or to engage in an understanding process of the other (Kramsch, 1993). This group exhibited attitudes of curiosity and openness during the Skype sessions. Their essays were elaborate; the topics were varied, indicating the experience of productive social interactions. This group also avoided the use of essentialist or static cultural representations of the other in their narratives.</p>

The Power of Garden-Based Curriculum to Promote Scientific and Nature-Friendly Attitudes in Children Through a Cotton Project

ABSTRACT Growing plants is a popular and easy method to facilitate preschoolers’ scientific exploration and positive attitude toward the environment, as it creates an awareness that nature is a magical place to be explored. This study examines a year-long garden-based curriculum in South Korea, specifically a cotton project, and its effects on 4- to 6-year-old children’s (n = 165) scientific and nature-friendly attitudes. Classroom observations and teacher interviews were obtained for qualitative data and scientific attitudes and nature-friendly attitudes were collected for quantitative data. The results indicated that planting cotton and observing the process of its growth provided opportunities for developing a scientific attitude of curiosity and inquiry. In addition, the meaningful direct and concrete experience with the natural environment opened the children’s eyes to the significance of nature and the value of harmony with the natural world, resulting in increased nature-friendly attitudes. The critical roles of the teacher are addressed in implications.

Peningkatan sikap rasa ingin tahu peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model problem based learning (PBL)

<p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstract. </strong><em>This study aims to improve students' curiosity attitudes by applying the Problem based learning learning model. This research is a class action research with three cycles. The subject of this study was 36 grade elementary school students in the academic year 2019/2020, totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques use the results of observations, interviews and documentation. Data validation using the Triangulation technique. The data analysis model used is Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model with 4 components. The results of the study show that the application of the problem based learning model can raise the curiosity attitude of fifth grade elementary school students in the academic year 2019/2020.</em><em></em></p><p class="Abstract"><br /> <strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> curiosity attitude, problem based learning model, elementary school</em><em></em></p>

Problem based learning instruction assisted by e-book to improve mathematical representation ability and curiosity attitudes on optical devices

This study aims to determine the increase in mathematical representation abilities and curiosity attitudes of students of SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan through learning Problem Based Learning assisted with e-books. The research subject is MIPA 2 class XI with 30 samples. Questionnaire is given at the beginning and end of learning to measure students’ curiosity attitudes. The pretest and posttest questions are in the form of descriptions to measure the ability of mathematical representation. There are two indicators of mathematical representation, namely (1) determining the exact equation in accordance with the problem, and (2) carrying out mathematical operations into the equation. Indicator (1) increase is 61,90% and 66,67% for indicator (2). Overall mathematical representation improvement is 55,83%. The percentage of curiosity attitudes of most students are in the good category that is equal to 57%. There is an increase of 27% when compared to the attitude of curiosity before learning PBL assisted by e-book that is equal to 30%. It can be concluded that problem based learning instruction assited by e-book can improve mathematical representation and curiosity attitudes of students on optical devices.

ANALISIS SIKAP ILMIAH MAHASISWA CALON GURU IPA PADA MATA KULIAH BIOLOGI DASAR I

ABSTRACT This research has purpose to analyze the scientific attitude of students in basic bology I. This research is a descriptive research. The subject of research is student of science education STKIP Modern Ngawi first semester in the academic year 2018/2019. Attitude was measure used a questionnaire of scientific attitudes..The percentages of students curiosity attitude 78,84% with good criteria, responsibility accurary was 71,15% with good criteria, conscientious atitude was 71,63% with good criteria, honesty attitude was 72,11% with good criteria, teamwork was 81,72% with good criteria, and ctitical attitude was 69,22% with ctireria enough. Overall, the percentage of the students scintific attitude was good criteria.

Abstract Neuro-linguistic programming (international acronym: NLP) is a special approach to understanding the communication process, triggering an attitude of curiosity, passion and dedication in studying the ways of improving and developing the behavior of human being, being not only an efficient system for stimulating spiritual evolution and increasing spiritual harmony, but also a great impetus for changing mentalities at the social level. also, it provides many useful means to deal with the real problems of today’s management and leadership. However, the information about NLP presented in the paper should not be interpreted as therapeutic indications, but this does not mean that it may be considered unnecessary.
