The possibility of induction heating of brass strips in transverse magnetic field in the production of brass ribbon and strips is considered. The effect of the heat treatment process on the characteristics of quality of annealed strips and rolled ribbon is studied. The advantages of induction heating for making ribbon with required geometric size in the transverse direction and in the direction of the rolling are shown. Recommendations are developed for optimizing the process and raising the quality of rolled products depending on the aim of the induction heating, i.e., final heat treatment or preparation for subsequent deformation.
