Performance investigation of a high-temperature absorption-compression heat transformer with liquid refrigerant injection

The high-temperature heat pump technology is a promising approach to utilizing low-temperature waste heat while meeting industrial demands for high-temperature heat. However, existing high-temperature heat pump systems face challenges including insufficient temperature lift, system complexity, and rapid performance degradation at high output temperature. This paper proposes a novel, structurally simple high-temperature absorption-compression heat transformer, aiming to recover heat below 100 °C and achieve a large temperature lift above 70 °C. The system is analyzed from the aspects of energy, exergy, key parameters that impact its performance, and techno-economic comparison. Results show that injecting liquid refrigerant into the compressor chamber mitigates high superheat effects on the compressor, allowing for higher absorption pressure. The system achieves an output temperature of around 170 °C, with the compressor outlet temperature below 120 °C. Moreover, some liquid refrigerant evaporates by absorbing compressor superheat. This reduces power consumption of the compressor, heat input of the evaporator, and overall system exergy loss. Thus, the proposed system demonstrates improvements of 6.5 % and 7.5 % in coefficient of performance and exergy coefficient of performance, respectively. Besides, it is feasible to achieve absorption temperatures exceeding 170 °C by increasing the solution concentration or the pressure ratio, with the former being the more cost-effective approach. Furthermore, the specific costs of the proposed system are more than 20 % lower than those of other types of high-temperature heat pumps, demonstrating its superior economic feasibility.

Optimization research on energy consumption and carbon emissions in hydrogen-blended natural gas pipeline networks considering compressor performance - A case study of the west-east gas pipeline (line 1)

The blending of hydrogen into natural gas can utilize existing natural gas pipeline infrastructure to achieve long-distance, large-scale, and cost-effective hydrogen transportation. However, the introduction of hydrogen poses a series of new technical and safety challenges to the operation of natural gas pipelines. Addressing these issues, this paper focuses on minimizing compressor station energy consumption and carbon emissions as objective functions, conducting a comprehensive analysis of station operation modes. Incorporating the characteristics of the model, the soft frost search strategy, the hard frost penetration mechanism, and the positive greedy selection mechanism are introduced to propose the IRIME algorithm. Comparisons are made with well-performing optimization algorithms using classical test functions to evaluate algorithm performance. To further validate the algorithm's accuracy, the West-East Gas Pipeline (Line 1) is considered, comparing the convergence speed and precision of the IRIME algorithm, leading to its selection for solving the model. Furthermore, consider analyzing the impact of different hydrogen blending ratios on the performance curves and operating points of compressors. Results indicate that compared to conditions without hydrogen blending, the compressor outlet temperature and pressure drop increase for hydrogen blending ratios of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%; as the hydrogen blending ratio increases, the efficiency of fuel-driven compressors, efficiency of electrically driven compressors, and average efficiency of compressor units decrease; with an increase in hydrogen blending ratio, carbon emissions from fuel-driven compressors and electric-driven compressors both decrease. In conclusion, with an increasing hydrogen blending ratio, total energy consumption increases by 3.14%, 5.69%, 8.68%, and 10.90%, while total carbon emissions decrease by 2.99%, 5.36%, 8.32%, and 10.68%. These findings provide valuable insights for operational guidance in the field.

Enhanced quasi-three-dimensional transient simulation technique incorporating component volume effects for aero engine

Current transient analysis predominantly relies on zero-dimensional/one-dimensional tools, proficient at capturing aerothermodynamic variations across critical engine stations but insufficient for analyzing the internal flow field evolution during transients. Addressing this gap, the study presents an enhanced quasi-three dimensional (quasi-3D) transient simulation technique that integrates component volume effects, offering a significant leap from the preceding quasi-3D transient simulation method based on quasi-steady assumption. By embedding the component volume effects on density, momentum, and energy within the physical temporal dimension of the Navier-Stokes equations, the refined quasi-3D transient model achieves a closer representation of physical phenomena. Validation against a single-shaft turbofan engine’s experimental data confirms the model’s accuracy. Average errors for key performance indicators, including shaft speed, thrust, mass flow rate, and critical component exit temperature and pressure, remain below 0.41%, 5.69%, 2.55%, 3.18% and 0.67%, respectively. Crucially, the model exposes a discernible temporal lag in the compressor outlet pressure and temperature response due to volume effects—previously unquantified in quasi-3D transient simulations. And further exploration of the meridional flow field emphasizes the consequential role of volumes in transient flow field evolution. Incorporating volume effects within quasi-3D transient simulations enhances engine modeling and is pivotal for precise transient analysis in engine design and optimization.

Applicability of Variable-Geometry Turbocharger for Diesel Generators under High Exhaust Back Pressure

The exhaust back pressure of diesel engines is becoming increasingly higher nowadays. In order to keep discharging exhaust unhindered and operating smoothly under high exhaust back pressure, a large reduction in engine maximum brake output is often observed, as well as increased fuel consumption and lower combustion efficiency with heavy exhaust smokes. In our previous study, “Applicability of Reducing Valve Timing Overlap for Diesel Engines under High Exhaust Back Pressure”, a reduced valve timing overlap of 12 °CA partially improves the brake output and BSFC for a fixed-geometry turbocharged diesel engine under high exhaust back pressures. A potential solution for restoring the brake output under high exhaust back pressures could be the use of variable-geometry turbochargers. In this study, a variable-geometry turbocharger is applied to a diesel engine to study the engine performance characteristics and applicability, especially the further improvement of brake output and the brake-specific fuel consumption of the engine. Continuing with the results of our previous research, a basic setting of 12 °CA for the valve timing overlap is set up for the subsequent engine performance simulations in this study (using GT-Power SW). Via simulation, exhaust back pressures of 25 kPa, 45 kPa, and 65 kPa gauge are studied for a turbocharged diesel engine. The results for the engine parameters, including brake output, brake-specific fuel consumption, compressor outlet temperature, turbine inlet temperature, intake air mass flow rate, and exhaust mass flow rate are analyzed. The results of the variable-geometry turbocharger, including turbocharger speed, pressure ratios and efficiencies of compressor and turbine are also analyzed. The results indicate that the brake output and brake-specific fuel consumption are effectively improved under full-load operation with an adequate variable-geometry turbocharger rack position. Operable ranges of rack position are also set up for different back pressures.

Theoretical comparison analysis of R134a, R1234yf, R452A and R454C refrigerants used in automobile, trailer and commercial and industrial cooling systems

The increasing environmental disasters in recent years are caused by the release of artificial substances into the environment. The majority of artificial-containing emissions originate from petrochemical products. It also contributes to artificially containing refrigerants used in cooling systems. Artificial refrigerants have contributed greatly to the depletion of the ozone layer and subsequently to global warming. Research on new refrigerants as an alternative to refrigerants that contribute to every environmental disaster is of great importance. In this study, theoretical performance comparisons were made between R1234yf, which is an alternative to R134a refrigerant used in automobile air conditioning systems, and R452A, R454C refrigerants, which are used as alternative refrigerants in industrial, commercial and trailer cooling systems. Performance analyses were carried out according to different condenser and evaporator temperatures. Analysis results are given depending on condenser/evaporator pressure ratio, mass flow rate, compressor power, cooling effect coefficient (COP) and compressor outlet temperature. According to the study results, it was observed that the COP value increased with the increase in evaporator temperature, while the compressor inlet-outlet pressure ratio, refrigerant flow rate, compressor power and refrigerant compressor outlet temperature decreased. It was observed that the refrigerant with the highest compressor power and mass flow rate was R452A, followed by R1234yf, R454C and R134a, respectively. R134a was found to have an average of approximately 5.4%, 8.6% and 0.6% higher COP than R1234yf, R452A and R454C, respectively.

Intelligent ammonia precooling control for TBCC mode transition based on neural network improved equilibrium manifold expansion model

Precise control of the aeroengine precooling temperature is important for safeguarding the mode transition (MT) in turbine-based combined cycle (TBCC) propulsion. Ammonia mass injection pre-compressor cooling (Ammonia MIPCC) technology increases the maximum operating Mach number of aeroengines, presenting challenges in the design of controllers for complex control objectives. This paper introduces the combined inlet characteristics and the precooling scheme in the MT and proposes a neural network-improved equilibrium manifold expansion (NNEME) model. An intelligent ammonia precooling controller for the ammonia MIPCC aeroengine (AMA) was established based on NNEME and extended state observer (ESO). Furthermore, the final error confidence intervals for the NNEME model show a significant reduction of 37.499 % for rotor speed and 37.919 % for compressor outlet temperature, compared to the conventional EME model. By implementing ESO-based online compensation for modeling uncertainties, we achieved remarkable improvements in the control results. Specifically, the maximum steady-state errors for rotor speed and compressor outlet temperature were reduced by 60.839 % and 51.529 %, respectively, when compared to control results without ESO integration. Therefore, the proposed NNEME + ESO-based controller enabled precise control of the AMA precooling temperature during the MT phase. This demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach in enhancing control accuracy and stability.

Energy, Exergy, and Environment Performance Evaluation of Cascade Refrigeration System with Natural Refrigerants

Cascade refrigeration systems are preferred in applications where low temperature cooling is required, such as in some special industrial and laboratory applications. Since, in these systems, the energy consumed by the compressors is less and the compressor outlet temperature is lower. Due to environmental problems, the use of natural refrigerants in cascade refrigeration systems has become to be of great importance. In this study, two cascade systems consisting of R744/R290 (System 1) and R1270/R290 (System 2) natural refrigerant pairs were designed and thermodynamically examined. In the analyzes performed according to different evaporator temperatures, the highest COP value was 3.66 at -20℃ evaporating temperature was obtained in the cascade system consisting of the R1270/R290 refrigerant pair. Moreover, it was considered that there was a 17.95% enhancement in exergy efficiency with the use of R1270 refrigerant in the low temperature cycle. By the rise in the evaporator temperature, energy consumption decreases and as a result, the amount of carbon dioxide emissions reduced was attained.

Parametric optimization and exergy analysis of a high mach number aeroengine with an ammonia mass injection pre-compressor cooling cycle

The Ammonia mass injection pre-compressor cooling (Ammonia MIPCC) cycle provides a substantial potential for the development of a high Mach aeroengine. To evaluate performance and analyze exergy of Ammonia MIPCC aeroengine, the parameter matching modeling method and Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) optimization are applied. These proposed methods can realize the constraints of compressor outlet temperature, combustor outlet temperature, power balance and flow conservation, thereby optimizing the specific impulse performance. Results show that the optimal operating line (OOL) of the Ammonia MIPCC aeroengine can be divided into two paths: the temperature limit operating line and the maximum specific impulse operating line. Moreover, the OOL of the Ammonia MIPCC aeroengine is always in a high exergy utilization state. When the ammonia rate increases from 0 to 0.08, the changes in exergy reduction rate, specific impulse and specific thrust corresponding to OOL at Ma 3.0 are 18.89%–31.83%, 2347.47 to 1113.56s, 768.91–953.47 N/(kg/s), respectively. Additionally, results show that the cycle with lower inflow cooling requirements can improve economy. In summary, parameter optimization and exergy analysis help to determine the working characteristics of high Mach number Ammonia MIPCC aeroengines, enhance the engine thrust performance and extend the operating envelope.

Theoretical exploration of low GWP refrigerant mixtures as replacement to HFC-134A in a vapour compression refrigeration system

Hydro-fluorocarbons (HFCs) that are not harmful to ozone layer and are used in many appli-cations, including as refrigerants, aerosols, solvents and blowing agents for insulating foams replace chlorofluorocarbons and hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs). However, some HFCs have a high GWP, which stands for “Global Warming Potential(GWP).” Because of the grow-ing concern over global climate change, researchers are paying closer attention for alternatives to these HFCs. The main focus of this work was on the theoretical analysis of the refrigerant mixtures namely AC5, R430A, and R440A as direct replacements for HFC-134a in a refriger-ator. The performance of the refrigerator may be enhanced using heat exchanger. The com-pressor discharge temperature, COP, VCC, refrigerant mass flow rate, power consumption of a compressor and pressure ratio were used to measure the performance of a home refrigerator. The typical COP of R440A and R430A was about 2.5% and 1.4% higher than that of HFC-134, while the average COP of AC5 was 6.1% lesser than that of HFC-134a. R430A almost has the same VCC (Volumetric Cooling Capacity) as HFC-134a. The results also show that HFC-134a uses more power than AC5, R440A, and R430A. R440A and AC5 have higher compressor outlet temperatures than HFC-134a, which affects the life span of the compressor. In com-parison with all the above refrigerants, R430A gives the best overall performance and used as replacement to HFC-134a in a VCR.

Thermo-economic analysis for a novel grid-scale pumped thermal electricity storage system coupled with a coal-fired power plant

Combining pumped thermal electricity storage with existing thermal power plants can be a promising technical route for developing large-scale grid energy storage technologies for stably consuming renewable power. In this paper, a novel pumped thermal electricity storage system coupled with a supercritical coal-fired power plant is designed based on cascade heat storage. The thermodynamic analysis shows that the round-trip efficiency of the integrated system can reach 0.53–0.56 under 60–100% output load, for a practical design with a recuperation temperature of 280 °C and compressor outlet temperature of 500 °C. An economic analysis is performed and indicates this design can achieve a payback period of around 4 years considering a moderate charging electricity price of 3 ¢/kWh and a long storage period of 12 h. Further decreasing the recuperation temperature and increasing the compressor outlet temperature can reduce the system investment cost and LCOE, while it requires technological advancement of molten salts working at a wider temperature range and more robust compressors. In comparison to the integrated system with conventional two-tank storage, as well as other storage systems like vanadium redox flow batteries, the current design has a more attractive cost and can be scaled up in future multi-energy applications.

Selection of a suitable working fluid for a combined organic Rankine cycle coupled with compression refrigeration using molecular approaches

A vapor compression refrigeration cycle (VCRC) driven by an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) is an alternative to generating cold through a renewable energy source such as solar, residual thermal, and geothermal energy. The system analyzed in this work consists of an ORC coupled with a VCRC by a shaft where each one of the cycles uses an independent working fluid. This manuscript analyses 8 working fluids resulting in 16 combinations. These fluids include common refrigerants, such as R22 (HFCF) and R134a (HFC), with other low or null global warming potential (GWP) substances, such as hydrocarbons (HCs) and hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs). The PC-SAFT EOS is used as a predictive tool to obtain the equilibrium condition and thermophysical properties at each point in the cycle. The choice of the best combination of working fluids is done under the criteria that the ORC boiler and evaporator temperatures work in a range of 60.0 to 100.0 °C and −15.0 to 0.0 °C, respectively. The compressor outlet temperature, the VCR-ORC system Coefficient of Performance (COP), and the VCRC COP are the selected key parameters analyzed. The results show that the combination of n-pentane and R1233zd provide a good performance in terms of COP compared to other refrigerants.

Performance comparison and characterization of multi-pressure vapor compression systems at optimized conditions for simultaneous cooling and heating application

We performed numerical thermodynamic analyses of 3 multi-pressure vapor compression system configurations (cascaded, with flash tank, and with ejector) to evaluate their coefficient of performance improvements in combined cooling and heating applications. Six refrigerants were evaluated, and 25 temperature pairs of −15 °C to 25 °C cooling and 45 °C to 85 °C heating were specified. Critical parameters of the 3 configurations were varied for performance optimization. The compressor outlet temperature was constrained to prevent lubricant breakdown in actual implementation. Maximum performance improvements of 34.41 %, 39.20 %, and 46.34 % for the cascade, with flash tank, and with ejector systems, respectively, were attained. Moreover, the total number of temperature pairs exceeding the temperature limit was reduced from 19/25 to 17/25, 1/25, and 9/25 for the cascade, with flash tank, and with ejector systems, respectively. The best refrigerants to use were found to be Ammonia or R245fa as the low-pressure loop refrigerant with R245fa as the high-pressure loop refrigerant for cascade systems, Ammonia or R245fa for systems with flash tank, and R245fa for systems with ejector. This work demonstrated and quantified the ability of multi pressure configurations to increase the performance of vapor compression systems in simultaneous cooling and heating applications.

A comprehensive analysis of binary mixtures as working fluid in high temperature heat pumps

High-temperature heat pumps represent an emerging technology with a great potential in supplying clean heat to energy intensive industries. Suitable refrigerants for high-temperature heat pumps (up to 200 °C) have not been identified yet. This work aims to analyze the performance of binary mixtures as working fluid in high-temperature heat pumps delivering heat up to 200 °C with a special focus on zeotropic mixtures. Three relevant processes with different heat sources and sinks were selected to integrate the heat pump: latent/latent (e.g. distillation processes), latent/sensible (e.g. superheated steam drying), sensible/sensible (e.g. pressurized water production). To determine the best working fluid and cycle configuration for each process, an optimization framework was developed with the maximization of the coefficient of performance as objective function. For the first case with a latent heat sink and heat source, the best performing binary mixtures were near-azeotropic with slightly higher coefficient of performance compared to pure fluids. Moreover, binary mixtures provided several advantages such as the reduction of the compression ratio and compressor outlet temperature compared to pure fluids. A similar behavior was observed for the second case with a latent heat source and a sensible heat sink. For the third case with a sensible heat sink and heat source, binary mixtures resulted in a higher coefficient of performance (10 %) compared to pure fluids. Most of the best performing mixtures were hydrocarbons with high risk of flammability. Water/ammonia was the only mildly-flammable mixture among the top mixtures.

Experimental study on improving the performance of vapor compression cycle by using loop-type heat pipe

In this study, an experimental study was carried out on a heat pipe, whose evaporator is located between the compressor outlet and the condenser inlet of an industrial cooler on a vapor compression cycle (VCC). It absorbs heat from the new generation refrigerant fluid of 515B and transfers it to the outdoor air. The heat pipe is a looped thermosiphon-type heat pipe. R134a refrigerant is used as a working fluid in the heat pipe. By changing the condenser air inlet temperatures, the contribution of the heat pipe to the cooling cycle has been determined experimentally. While the evaporation pressure of the refrigeration cycle with the heat pipe remains approximately constant, the condensation pressure decreases, and the sub-cool temperature increases. For condenser air inlet temperatures of 30, 40, and 50°C, the COP of the cooler with heat pipe increases by 1.8%, 2.6%, and 2.76%, respectively. As the air temperature at the condenser inlet increases, the ratio of heat pipe power to the cooling capacity of the cycle also increases. In addition, the compressor outlet temperature is reduced by 1.5%–2.8% using of the heat pipe.

An analytical user-friendly methodology to transform compressor and turbine supplier characterization maps dedicated to 1D engine simulation: Modelling of turbocharger heat transfer and friction losses

Available turbocharger characterization maps are usually obtained on a gas stand where the turbine intake temperature is high, resulting in heat transfer affecting both the compressor and turbine. A correction is then mandatory to take into account heat transfer and calculate the real amount of work produced or consumed.An experimental campaign is conducted to characterize heat transfer and friction losses on two different turbochargers. Then, semi-empirical correlations are developed minimizing the sum of square errors of a multiple regression to modelize these two phenomena. Compared to existing methodologies, these correlations minimize the requested input data: only the supplier maps are required whereas no additional test or calibration is needed.The methodology to transform efficiencies and model heat transfer is presented. A gain of 10 % is observed on the confidence interval +/−3 °C on the compressor outlet temperature calculation (passing from 42.2 to 53 %), beside the turbine outlet temperature +/−10 °C interval is improved by around 20 %. These improvements are observed on two engine 1D models using two different turbochargers. The second engine's turbocharger is not involved in the establishment of the correlations and then demonstrates the good predictability of the proposed methodology.

Energy and exergy analysis of a modified three-stage auto-cascade refrigeration cycle using low-GWP refrigerants for sustainable development.

This study proposed a modified three-stage auto-cascade refrigeration cycle (MTARC) operating with environmentally benign zeotropic mixture of R1234yf/R170/R14 at the refrigeration temperature level of - 80°C. Compared with the conventional three-stage auto-cascade refrigeration cycle (CTARC), MTARC incorporates an additional pressure regulator between the condenser and separator to realize phase separation at a lower pressure and temperature. A comprehensive evaluation of energy and exergy performance of the two cycles was conducted theoretically. Under a typical working condition, the cooling capacity, COP and exergy efficiency of the MTARC are improved by 15.85%, 11.69% and 7.65% in comparison with the CTARC, respectively. In addition, a lower evaporating temperature was also obtained by the MTARC under the same operating condition. When the intermediate pressure drops from 2 to 1MPa, the cooling capacity, COP and exergy efficiency are improved by 35.43%, 25.25% and 16.74%, respectively, for the MTARC, meanwhile the compressor outlet temperature increases 19.93°C from 92.27 to 112.20°C. Therefore, the selection of the intermediate pressure should be comprehensively considered to ensure a desirable cycle performance and a proper working condition for the compressor. The proposed modified cycle offers new pathways for designing innovative cryogenic refrigeration systems, thereby potentially improving the energy economy in a myriad of modern energy applications for sustainability concerns.

Performance Analysis of Different Refrigerants in Automobile Air Conditioning Equipment Using Variable Capacity Compressor

In this study, the experimental performance of the use of R1234yf refrigerant al-ternative to R134a refrigerant in an automobile air conditioning system with var-iable capacity compressor was investigated. The automobile air conditioner con-sists of a variable capacity compressor, evaporator, condenser, liquid tank and expansion element. The experimental air conditioner is equipped with computer-aided control systems to obtain the desired experimental conditions and data col-lection systems for measuring and collecting experimental data. Tests were per-formed at different compressor speeds and different condenser and evaporator inlet air flow temperatures. Energy analysis was applied to the obtained experi-mental data and the results were presented in comparative graphs. In the results, it was seen that while the cooling effect coefficient and evaporator outlet air flow generally decreased in both refrigerants with the increase of the compressor speed, the mass flow rate of the refrigerants, the compressor outlet temperature, the heat discharged from the condenser, the cooling capacity and the compressor power increased. In cases where the evaporatör inlet airflow temperature is low, it has been observed that the change in the data is very small with the increase of the compressor speed with the effect of the capacity control system

Improving chiller performance and energy efficiency in hydrogen station operation by tuning the auxiliary cooling

In a hydrogen station that operates with direct fueling through the use of a 700 bar boost compressor, the outlet hydrogen temperature can significantly increase, stressing the chiller system. This paper evaluates improvements that can be made to the auxiliary cooling system integrated with the compressor. Both theoretical modeling and experiments were performed at Cal State LA Hydrogen Research and Fueling Facility. The findings suggest that adjusting the auxiliary closed-loop cooling system from 15 °C to 10 °C reduced the station energy consumption and decreased the demand on the station chiller that needed to provide −20 °C hydrogen at the hose. The overall energy consumption for a single fueling reduced by between 2.86 and 9.43% for the set of experiments conducted. After the temperature of the closed-loop cooling system was reduced by 5 °C, the boost compressor outlet temperature dropped from 46-50 °C–40 °C and consequently at the hose the hydrogen temperature declined by 3 °C. Results were scaled up with a forecast on the number of daily refueling events. With a low number of daily fuelings, the proposed set-up showed a minor influence on the overall station energy consumption. However, the benefits were more pronounced for a connector station with sales at 180 kg/day, where the energy efficiency improved by between 1.4 and 5.5%, and even more so for a higher capacity station at 360 kg/day, where the improvement was between 2.9 and 8%.

Thermodynamic Analysis of Eco-Friendly Refrigerant Mixtures as an Alternative to HFC-134a in Household Refrigerator

Nowadays, research has been focused on refrigerants from Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are not harmful to the ozone layer. Because of replacing refrigerants from chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs). HFCs are used in many applications, including refrigerants, aerosols, solvents, and blowing agents for insulating foams. However, some HFCs have relatively high global warming potential (GWP) and are subject to further examination due to growing concerns about global climate change. The present work’s main objective is to select eco-friendly refrigerants from AC5, R430A and R440A, combining two or more refrigerants from HC, HFC and HFO groups as a direct substitute HFC-134a in a household refrigerator. The performance of the domestic refrigerator with liquid suction heat exchanger (LSHX) was compared in terms of compressor discharge temperature, coefficient of performance (COP), volumetric cooling capacity (VCC), and power consumption of a compressor. It was found that the average COP of R440A and R430A was higher by approximately 2.5% and 1.47% than HFC-134a. However, the COP of AC5 was 6.1% lower than that of HFC-134a. The VCC of R430A is almost equal to HFC-134a. The results also show that AC5, R440A and R430A consume less power than HFC-134a. The compressor outlet temperature with R440A, AC5 provide higher values than HFC-134a, which affects the compressor life. The best overall performance was achieved with the refrigerant R430A in the household refrigerator and suggested an alternative to HFC134a, which also has a very low GWP from the environmental safety perspective.
