Comprehensive Cost-Benefit Analysis Based on the Performance of Drop and Pull Transport

Drop and pull transport is an efficient transportation mode. It brings considerable comprehensive economic benefit for companies, improves the transport efficiency and reduces carbon emissions quantity. In order to evaluate the performance comprehensively, the cost-benefit of environmental indicators are added to establish the comprehensive performance evaluation system of drop and pull transport on the basis of traditional financial evaluation index, the performance evaluation model with time value is also established. The comprehensive cost-benefit of drop and pull transport mode and traditional mode are analyzed by NAV and PVI. Accordingly, the result of the case analysis shows that drop and pull transport brings economic and green effects and has guiding significance to develop drop and pull transport.

Bi-level optimization allocation model of water resources for different water industries

There are severe water shortages, exacerbated by overexploitation, in the region upstream of the dam at Zhang Jiakou, and in many other regions, both in China and other parts of the world. Allocating water resources equitably amongst the numerous domestic and industrial consumers in these regions, while preserving or improving the environment and meeting economic goals, is a highly complex problem. Various researchers have addressed this problem using various models, but no model that satisfactorily optimizes the complex, interacting social, economic and environmental goals has been developed as yet. To contribute towards this goal, we present a bi-level optimization model that allocates water resources rationally between all sectors, and prevents overexploitation. It is based on the optimization of comprehensive social, economic, agricultural, environment and groundwater preservation benefits. Verified results obtained with the model indicate that it is capable of resolving the multi-dimensional water allocation problems rationally, both in the focal region and more generally, according to a flexible set of ordered, prioritized objectives.

Online Fuzzy Assessment of Operating Performance and Cause Identification of Nonoptimal Grades for Industrial Processes

To pursue optimal comprehensive economic benefit, the process operating performance assessment on optimality becomes more and more critical for industrial processes. In this article, a novel method for online fuzzy assessment of the process operating performance and cause identification of nonoptimal performance grades is proposed. The contributions of this paper are summarized as follows: a new performance grade classification and identification method for modeling data is proposed; then, the assessment models for different performance grades are established through extracting the process variable correlation characteristics, which effectively avoids redundant information and provides the reference standards for online assessment ; in addition, besides the deterministic assessment results, such as optimal, suboptimal, etc., the performance grade conversion is also evaluated; when the process operating performance is nonoptimal, the responsible variables are identified based on the variable contributions. Finally, the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method is illustrated with a case of gold hydrometallurgical process.

Application of particle swarm algorithm in the optimal allocation of regional water resources based on immune evolutionary algorithm

The optimal allocation model of regional water resources is built with the purpose of maximizing the comprehensive economic, social and environmental benefits of regional water consumption. In order to solve the problems that easily appear during the model solution of regional water resource optimal allocation with multiple water sources, multiple users and multiple objectives like “curse of dimensionality” or sinking into local optimum, this paper proposes a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm based on immune evolutionary algorithm (IEA). This algorithm introduces immunology principle into particle swarm algorithm. Its immune memorizing and self-adjusting mechanism is utilized to keep the particles in the fitness level at a certain concentration and guarantee the diversity of population. Also, the global search characteristics of IEA and the local search capacity of particle swarm algorithm have been fully utilized to overcome the dependence of PSO on initial swarm and the deficiency of vulnerability to local optimum. After applying this model to the allocation of water resources in Zhoukou, we obtain the scheme for optimization allocation of water resources in the planning level years, i.e. 2015 and 2025 under the guarantee rate of 50%. The calculation results indicate that the application of this algorithm to solve the issue of optimal allocation of regional water resources is reliable and reasonable. Thus it offers a new idea for solving the issue of optimal allocation of water resources.

The Comprehensive Economic Benefits Evaluation of Power Generation Projects under the Background of Low-Carbon Economy

Under the background of low-carbon economy, it is necessary to modify and improve the existing economic benefits evaluation system for the construction projects of power generation industries. This paper firstly built an economic benefit evaluation index system for power generation projects based on low-carbon financial benefits and carbon-emission reduction efficiency. Then, it established an economic benefits evaluation model which uses entropy and AHP to determine combined weights, and Gray Relation Method for comprehensive evaluation. Finally, the empirical analysis of the construction of wind power projects verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the evaluation model.

Structural Comparison and Project Cost Analysis on Two Kinds of Frame Structures

This article introduces two kinds of frame structure system structure for steel structure and reinforced concrete structure, analyzes the similarities and differences in the structural properties, structural occupied area, time limit for a project, project cost and comprehensive economic benefits and other aspects. The advantages and disadvantages of them are analyzed, and the engineering cost is compared and analyzed. Results show that the steel structure has more the advantage than reinforced concrete structure, and it is development trend of factories and high-rise building in the future.

Analysis on Life Cycle Cost and Economic Benefits of Self-Thermal Insulation System of Three Different External Walls in Changsha in China

The mathematical analysis model of LCC of self-thermal insulation system of external wall that is applicable to Changsha region is established by using degree days and present worth factor. And the LCC of three commonly used self-thermal insulation systems in Changsha is analyzed by using this model. Analysis results have proven that self-thermal insulation system of external wall has very significant comprehensive economic benefits compared with the wall that energy-saving measures are not taken, and it has an important practical significance to promote the development of energy-saving building in Changsha, China．
