CONCEPTUAL METAPHORS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AI DEVELOPMENT IN THE GUARDIAN NEWSPAPER

The whirlwind advent of ChatGPT in 2022 has marked a new age of artificial intelligence (AI), the general name for the technology that combines computer technology, big data bases and machines. This AI technology quickly makes its presence felt with hundreds of popular programs and chatbots such as the portrait-making AI diffusion art and the thesis-writing ChatGPT. This paper investigates the conceptual metaphors representing AI and AI development in The Guardian, a UK-based newspaper, to figure out how this technology and its growth have been introduced to ordinary people via mass media. Employing the Conceptual Metaphor Theory proposed by Lakoff & Johnson (1980), this study found three AI-related conceptual metaphors, namely, AI IS A HUMAN BEING, AI IS AN ANIMAL and AI IS A NATURAL FORCE, which are realized by more than 100 linguistic expressions across 33 news articles. Also, this research found five conceptual metaphors related to AI development, namely AI DEVELOPMENT IS WAR, AI DEVELOPMENT IS A RACE, AI DEVELOPMENT IS A CONVERSATION, AI DEVELOPMENT IS A DANCE, AI DEVELOPMENT IS A GAME and these metaphors are manifested by approximately 40 linguistic expressions. This paper discusses the way that these metaphors could influence the way people and technology companies think about AI and AI development.

Application of thermal energy efficiency utilization based on computer technology in green manufacturing blockchain production traceability

With the global emphasis on sustainable development, green manufacturing has become a key strategy to enhance economic efficiency and environmental friendliness. In the manufacturing process, the effective use and management of heat energy directly affect the consumption of resources and the protection of the environment. Blockchain technology, with its transparency and immutability, has gradually been introduced into the production process, helping to achieve traceability and optimization of thermal energy utilization. This study aims to explore how to combine computer technology with blockchain to establish a heat energy monitoring and management system based on computer technology, and collect real-time heat energy data through sensors. It then uses blockchain technology to create a transparent production traceability platform, store and manage thermal data, and ensure the security and reliability of the data. The research shows that the system combining computer technology and blockchain significantly improves the utilization efficiency of heat energy, greatly reduces the heat loss in the production process, and significantly improves the reuse rate of resources. The traceability function of the system effectively improves the transparency of the production process and enables enterprises to adjust their production strategies in time. Therefore, the combination of computer-based thermal efficiency utilization with blockchain production traceability offers a new solution for green manufacturing.

Evaluation Method of Comprehensive Ability of Students Majoring in Preschool Education Based on Computer Technology

In order to improve the comprehensive ability evaluation effect of students majoring in preschool education, this paper combines computer technology to evaluate the comprehensive ability of students majoring in preschool education. Through linearization, this paper deduces the state space model of data load of students’ comprehensive ability and the transfer function model of student’s comprehensive ability data load. Moreover, this paper establishes an analytical expression between the model coefficients of the transfer function of student’s comprehensive ability data load and the transfer parameters of student’s comprehensive ability data load. In addition, this paper analyzes and selects the identification method of the parameters of students’ comprehensive ability data load model. Since the parameters of the student comprehensive ability data load model have physical meanings, the parameter identification of the student comprehensive ability data load model is a gray box identification, and constraints are required when identifying the parameters of the student comprehensive ability data load model. The experimental study has verified that the comprehensive ability evaluation model of students majoring in preschool education based on computer technology can play an important role in the comprehensive ability evaluation of students majoring in preschool education. This article adopts the comprehensive load model in the Comprehensive Stability Calculation Program (PSASP) to eliminate the shortcomings of factor analysis in traditional teaching comprehensive evaluation, and has a certain reference value for the promotion of intelligent teaching in the future.

Modeling Student Management and Civic Education Strategies from an Interdisciplinary Perspective

Abstract This paper issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, combining computer technology, principles of management and other multi-disciplinary knowledge to build a model of student management and civic education strategy. Two modules are part of the student management model: student behavior analysis and prediction. In student behavior analysis, the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is improved, and the Gaussian density function is used to determine the initial clustering center. In student behavior prediction, the convolutional network is used to input raw data, and the extracted features are inputted into the CABLSTM model for training and prediction of student behavior. The Civic Education Strategy Model is built on the principle of feedback control and is constructed at the school, family, and individual levels. In the analysis of student management and Civic and Political Education practice, teaching practice was conducted at University C in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, China. After the practice, the number of students who are very satisfied and satisfied with the overall student management is 2, 356, accounting for 65.81%, and the comprehensive quality of students is in the middle to high range. The students’ life values, family and national sentiment, and thought level dimensions in Civic and political literacy have significant differences (P<0.05), and the level of mastery of Civic and political knowledge is good.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a medical device that combines computer technology, strong magnetic fields and radio waves to emulate representations of human body parts and produce more detailed and clear images, one of which is Facial Tic on the Brain. The MRI Brain examination aims to see the anatomy and abnormalities in the brain. This study aims to determine the MRI Brain examination procedure and the role of the Axial 3D Fiesta sequence in cases of Facial Tic. Use of the 3D Fast Imaging Employing Steady State Acquisition (FIESTA) sequence for evaluation of the head nerves. The research method used is descriptive research with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out from July 2023 to August 2023 using a GE 1.5 Tesla MRI aircraft. The subject consisted of a patient with clinical Facial Tic. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results were obtained according to theory using sagittal T1, Coronal PD/T2, Axial PD/T2/T1/FLAIR/EPI, Axial 3D incoherent GRE T1, Axial/oblique SE MT, Axial DWI, Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), Axial perfusion sequences. imaging, while in the field using localizer sequences, Axial DWI, Axial T2 Flair, Axial T2, Axial T1, Axial T2* GRE, Sagittal T1, Coronal T2, and Axial 3D Fiesta

Assessment Model for Rapid Suppression of SARS-CoV-2 Transmission under Government Control.

The rapid suppression of SARS-CoV-2 transmission remains a priority for maintaining public health security throughout the world, and the agile adjustment of government prevention and control strategies according to the spread of the epidemic is crucial for controlling the spread of the epidemic. Thus, in this study, a multi-agent modeling approach was developed for constructing an assessment model for the rapid suppression of SARS-CoV-2 transmission under government control. Different from previous mathematical models, this model combines computer technology and geographic information system to abstract human beings in different states into micro-agents with self-control and independent decision-making ability; defines the rules of agent behavior and interaction; and describes the mobility, heterogeneity, contact behavior patterns, and dynamic interactive feedback mechanism of space environment. The real geospatial and social environment in Taiyuan was considered as a case study. In the implemented model, the government agent could adjust the response level and prevention and control policies for major public health emergencies in real time according to the development of the epidemic, and different intervention strategies were provided to improve disease control methods in the simulation experiment. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed model is widely applicable, and it can not only judge the effectiveness of intervention measures in time but also analyze the virus transmission status in complex urban systems and its change trend under different intervention measures, thereby providing scientific guidance to support urban public health safety.

Pelatihan Inspection Preventive Maintenance (IPM) MRI

In Indonesia, the quality assurance of medical devices is carried out by the Hospital Facility Maintenance Installation, abbreviated as IPSRS. Generally, IPSRS staff consists of Human Resources (HR) who have qualifications in Electromedical, Public Health, and Management qualifications. Human resources in charge of carrying out maintenance and repairs, hereinafter referred to as Preventive Maintenance Inspections (IPM) of medical devices, are human resources with electromedical qualifications. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an advanced medical device that combines computer technology, high magnetic fields (0.067.0 Tesla) and radio waves to produce cross-sectional images of the muscles of the human body. To prepare patient services in hospitals using an MRI tool, reliable human resources are needed in carrying out their HDI. For this reason, training on the HDI of this MRI equipment is needed. This HDI training was attended by 534 participants from all over Indonesia which was carried out through the Zoom Meeting Application. This training succeeded in increasing the ability of participants by 27.98% while the average satisfaction of training participants was assessed from 5 aspects, namely at 86.65%, so that the training carried out is in the very satisfactory category.

This paper proposes a decision system based on virtual football, applies the system to the Internet of Things, and shows that the data of the system fluctuate within 1.5%, that is, the calculation accuracy of the system model is as high as 98.5%, with high calculation stability, high accuracy, and certain reliability.

Deep learning driven colorectal lesion detection in gastrointestinal endoscopic and pathological imaging.

Colorectal cancer has the second highest incidence of malignant tumors and is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in China. Early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer will lead to an improvement in the 5-year survival rate, which will reduce medical costs. The current diagnostic methods for early colorectal cancer include excreta, blood, endoscopy, and computer-aided endoscopy. In this paper, research on image analysis and prediction of colorectal cancer lesions based on deep learning is reviewed with the goal of providing a reference for the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer lesions by combining computer technology, 3D modeling, 5G remote technology, endoscopic robot technology, and surgical navigation technology. The findings will supplement the research and provide insights to improve the cure rate and reduce the mortality of colorectal cancer.

Sports Dance Movement Assessment Method Using Augment Reality and Mobile Edge Computing

AR (Augment Reality) is an emerging technology that combines computer technology and simulation technology. It uses a computer to generate a simulation environment to immerse users in the environment. AR can simulate the real environment or things and present it to users by virtue of its multiperceptual, interactive, immersive, and other characteristics, to achieve an immersive effect. For sports dance, the same can be used to enhance the effect of teaching and learning through the use of AR technology. Aiming at the problems of delay and terminal equipment energy consumption caused by high-speed data transmission and calculation of virtual technology, this paper proposes a sports dance movement transmission scheme that uses equal power distribution on the uplink. Firstly, based on the collaborative attributes of the AR sports dance business, a system model for AR characteristics is established; secondly, the system frame structure is analyzed in detail, and the constraint conditions are established to minimize the total energy consumption of the system; finally, the mathematical model of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) based on convex optimization is established under the condition that the delay and power consumption meet the constraints, so as to obtain the optimal communication and computing resource allocation scheme of sports dance in AR. The experimental results reveal that the proposed sports dance movement assessment method based on AR and MEC is efficient.

Implementing Cloud Computing Technology on Restaurant’s Expenses Monitoring System

Cloud computing offers the advantage to increase business productivity because it combines computer technology and internet-based development that is currently needed in various fields, including the restaurant industry. The application of cloud computing in the restaurant industry that has been carried out includes building payment transaction systems, restaurant reservation systems, and customer satisfaction systems. Although there have been many studies on cloud computing applications in the restaurant industry, there is still minimal research that discusses the consolidation of many restaurant branches’ expenses. Business activities in the restaurant industry require payments that need to be monitored appropriately to avoid waste, providing information on the cost-efficiency of costs quickly and accurately, allowing easy observation of expenditure data movement. The method used is by collecting expenditure data from all restaurant branches then processing it by comparing the income data obtained to produce output in the form of the level of efficiency achieved by each store. For three months, the sample data were obtained from the Cekeran Midun restaurant, which has seven branches in Bandung and Cimahi, Indonesia. The user acceptance test results show that all functions work well and have an overall acceptance rate of 83.33%, with most comments on the improvement being on the convenience of use and the system’s layout. Further research combines the calculation of costs in a restaurant. It allows the development of a platform that provides cloud computing-based online services that can be used collectively by various restaurants (software as a service).
