In recent years there has been an ever widening recognition of a growth in the insurance and other white collar work force but a decline in the labor movement. Throughout the same period, especially the past year, insurance and other white collar workers have entered the labor movement in considerable numbers. Today, white collar unions are in the forefront of those showing the greatest growth, not only in the United States but also in many European countries. Modest union gains have been followed by a further projection of an intensification of organizational efforts in order to provide additional insurance workers an opportunity to join a union.
