Systematic reviews are essential for evidence-based decision-making in endodontics, and their number has grown substantially in recent years. However, little is known about the publication patterns, methodological features and citation impact of these studies. To perform a bibliometric analysis of evidence synthesis reviews (including systematic, scoping, bibliometric and umbrella reviews) in endodontics published between 2018 and 2023, and to evaluate the associations between citation impact and demographic, article-related, author-related and journal-related variables. This bibliometric analysis was reported in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and was registered in the Open Science Framework (https://osf.io/jf9et/). A comprehensive search was conducted in five databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus and Cochrane Library). Inclusion criteria encompassed systematic, scoping, umbrella and bibliometric reviews in endodontics. Citation data were extracted from Scopus and Google Scholar. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and negative binomial regression to assess associations with citation counts. Of 9683 records identified, 511 endodontic reviews met the inclusion criteria. Most were published in 2022-2023, predominantly by authors from Asia, Europe and the Americas. Brazil had the highest publication volume, while the USA led in citations. PRISMA adherence was high (90%), but funding and conflict of interest disclosures were infrequent. Citation impact was positively associated with earlier publication year, the last author's h-index, the number of included studies and journal CiteScore. Methodological factors such as protocol registration and article-related variables like open access were not significantly associated with citations after adjustment. The citation impact of endodontic evidence synthesis reviews is primarily influenced by temporal factors, author academic standing and journal prestige rather than methodological rigour alone. These findings reveal a disconnect between indicators of research quality and citation performance and highlight the necessity of promoting transparency as a scientific value rather than as a surrogate for visibility. Infection prevention and control (IPC) evidence is imperative to reduce healthcare-associated infections, yet IPC guidelines often rely on low-level evidence due to challenges in conducting rigorous randomised controlled trials (RCTs). Understanding long-term research trends can clarify strengths, gaps, and priorities. Therefore, this bibliometric review aimed to identify trends and patterns in IPC RCTs over the past 20 years. A systematic search was conducted in the Scopus database between January 2002 and September 2025. RCTs in IPC were included. Identified studies were exported into Covidence software for screening. Metadata were imported into Biblioshiny® software, which analysed annual scientific production, citation data, authorship, and collaboration. Manual coding of data was also conducted to assign themes to the included research. This bibliometric review was reported in accordance with the BIBLIO reporting checklist. The search yielded 2312 studies, of which 239 were included. The findings show intermittent periods of growth in annual publication output, particularly in the past two years. Research activity is concentrated in the USA, Australia, and the UK. Over half of all publications fall within four key IPC themes - medical devices, skin antisepsis, wound therapy, and hand hygiene - while remaining studies reflect considerable topic heterogeneity. RCTs in IPC has grown substantially over the past decade. Although existing international collaborations were identified, substantial scope remains to further strengthen these networks. This presents an opportunity to strengthen the evidence base. Given the growth of RCTs, there is a case for living guidelines in key IPC areas.

Summarize the prognostic performance of existing clinical prediction models (CPMs) for neuroprognostication after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). We searched Medline and Embase databases from inception to June 1, 2025. We selected English-language studies that included adults with OHCA and evaluated a CPM for the prediction of poor functional outcome. We excluded derivation cohorts for prognostic scores and excluded models without at least two external validation cohorts. Two authors performed citation screening and data extraction. Where possible, we pooled the sensitivity and specificity of poor functional outcome, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) values for each CPM. We assessed risk of bias using the Prediction model study Risk of Bias Assessment Tool, and rated the certainty of evidence using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation. We included 39 observational cohorts (95,037 patients) evaluating 11 different CPMs, with the two most common scores being the OHCA and Cardiac Arrest Hospital Prognosis (CAHP) scores. An OHCA score greater than or equal to 17 had a pooled sensitivity of 81.8% (95% CI, 65.8-91.4%) and specificity of 74.2% (95% CI, 58.8-85.3%), while a score of greater than or equal to 32 had a pooled sensitivity of 64.9% (95% CI, 44.0-81.3%) and specificity of 89.5% (95% CI, 75.9-95.8%) for poor functional outcome (low certainty). A CAHP score greater than or equal to 150 had a pooled sensitivity of 81.3% (95% CI, 77.7-84.4%) and specificity of 77.0% (95% CI, 70.6-82.4%) for poor functional outcome (moderate certainty). Pooled AUROCs across the 11 CPMs varied from 0.75 to 0.88, with substantial heterogeneity. CPMs for neuroprognostication after OHCA demonstrate only moderate accuracy, with substantial heterogeneity across validation cohorts. These limitations restrict their clinical utility, particularly for irreversible decisions such as withdrawal of life-sustaining therapy.

Rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease (RF/RHD) remain important causes of preventable cardiovascular morbidity in low- and middle-income settings, including Southeast Asia. Although research output on these conditions has increased globally, the extent, thematic focus, and distribution of research productivity within Southeast Asia have not been comprehensively characterized. This study aimed to examine the publication trends, collaboration patterns, funding distribution, thematic focus, and selected socio-economic correlates of rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease research in Southeast Asia using bibliometric methods. Original articles and conference papers on RF/RHD in SEA from 1900 to 2024 were identified using the Scopus database. Bibliometric indicators and citation data were extracted and summarized descriptively. Country collaboration networks and author keyword co-occurrence maps were visualized using VOSviewer. Associations between selected country-level socio-economic indicators and bibliometric measures were explored using correlation analysis. A total of 333 records on RF/RHD published between 1900 and 2024 from various SEA countries were obtained. Regional publication output remained relatively high in recent years, although annual counts fluctuated and the 2024 output was incomplete at the time of search. Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines accounted for the largest share of regional output. However, despite this positive trend, SEA's contribution to the global output for RF/RHD research is still below 2.5%. Notably, only one-fifth of the regional publications reported funding support, with marked disparities across countries. The retrieved literature was concentrated in themes related to diagnosis, surgery and complications, registries and epidemiology, anticoagulation, and valvular assessment. In contrast, topics such as social determinants of health, cost-effectiveness, implementation research, and patient-centered care appeared less represented. Country-level research productivity showed positive associations with selected socio-economic indicators and international collaboration, although these findings should be interpreted cautiously. Research on RF/RHD in Southeast Asia has grown, but publication output and funding remain unevenly distributed across countries. Continued efforts to strengthen international collaboration and research support are needed to amplify research productivity in low-resource Southeast Asian settings.

Optimal management for patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE) at elevated risk of decompensation remains unclear given the lack of predictors and the limitations of existing risk stratification tools. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the prognostic association between clinical variables and short-term mortality in patients with acute PE. Medline and EMBASE were searched from inception through 19 May 2025. We included English-language studies that described adult inpatients with a confirmed acute PE and evaluated prognostic factors associated with short-term mortality. Two authors performed citation screening and data extraction. Only adjusted OR were included in the data synthesis. We performed pooling using a random-effects model and inverse variance weighting. Risk of bias was evaluated using the Quality in Prognosis Studies tool. We assessed certainty of evidence using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations approach. We included 70 studies involving 1 446 190 participants in our review. Variables with a moderate or high certainty association with short-term mortality in acute PE include increasing age, an elevated Pulmonary Embolism Severity Index (PESI) Score, an abnormal simplified PESI Score, an elevated heart rate, a reduced systolic blood pressure, a lower oxygen saturation, a higher respiratory rate, active malignancy, heart failure, chronic lung disease, an elevated troponin, a larger right ventricle (RV) to left ventricle ratio and evidence of RV dysfunction. We identified multiple variables associated with early mortality in acute PE. Notably, we demonstrate that RV function, a marker omitted from commonly used risk stratification tools, represents an important prognostic variable that is supported by multiple society guidelines. The objective of the study was to provide an in-depth bibliographic analysis of Neuropsychology's published corpus as a window into the scientific interests, approaches, and priorities of the field of neuropsychology. The primary aims were to examine the ways in which Neuropsychology's published content (a) has changed over time and (b) influences citation rates. A total of 2,403 abstracts published in Neuropsychology from 1987 to 2024 were coded according to article type, study population, design elements, methodology, ability domains, and miscellaneous topics (e.g., digital technology, everyday functioning). A university librarian provided 2024 citation data from Scopus for the 2,209 articles published during the years 1987 to 2021. Over the past 37 years, Neuropsychology has experienced a moderate increase in studies that are empirical/data-driven, employ longitudinal designs, integrate biological markers and survey/questionnaire methods, and examine executive functions, culture/social determinants of health, and everyday functioning. Studies that use true experimental designs and focus on lower order domains (e.g., sensory/perceptual), visuospatial function, and memory peaked in the mid-1990s and are associated with lower citation rates in the modern era. On the other hand, review articles, studies with longitudinal designs, and articles that examined culture/social determinants of health and everyday functioning had higher citation rates. Findings suggest a temporal shift in the field's published content toward more empirically driven, functionally relevant, and contextually informed research. Future bibliographic work is needed to understand how these historical publishing trends align with related disciplines (e.g., behavioral neurology) and to identify the core drivers of citation patterns in neuropsychology. This study examines how the 1979 Iranian Revolution altered Iran’s long-term scientific development using publication and citation data for 1960–2024. Combining longitudinal scientometric analysis with counterfactual modeling, we identify a major structural break in Iran’s research trajectory after 1979. Iran experienced a substantial post-2000 recovery in publication volume, but this recovery was accompanied by a persistent quality gap, with Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) and top-cited-paper shares remaining below those of several comparator systems. To assess the long-run opportunity cost of the disruption, we use two complementary counterfactual strategies: a comparison-based Synthetic Control Method (SCM) and a set of developmental-growth proxy scenarios. Across specifications, the qualitative conclusion is stable: the post-1979 interruption is associated with a durable loss of scientific compounding capacity. At the same time, the quantitative magnitude of the cumulative shortfall is sensitive to counterfactual specification, indicating that no single benchmark should be treated as a definitive historical forecast. We therefore interpret the SCM results as comparison-based benchmarks and the developmental-growth proxies as illustrative upper- and mid-range scenarios rather than literal one-to-one counterfactuals. We interpret these findings through the lens of the Middle-Income Trap (MIT) and the political economy of the Rentier State. We argue that Iran’s post-revolutionary science policy contributed to a quantity–quality paradox in which expansion in scientific output was not matched by comparable gains in global scientific influence, while also recognizing that observed citation-impact measures are shaped by international collaboration constraints and bibliometric coverage limitations. The findings highlight the long-run developmental cost of political disruption while emphasizing that sustained scientific catch-up depends not only on output growth, but also on institutional continuity, international integration, and incentive structures that reward impact rather than volume alone.

Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) is a chorioretinal disease characterised by serous subretinal fluid (SRF) in the macula, resulting in sudden central vision loss. It predominantly affects working-age adults, particularly men aged 30 to 60 years. Its multifactorial pathophysiology is modulated by systemic factors, such as corticosteroid use, psychological stress, and hypertension. Previous studies suggest that broader environmental influences, including seasonal variation, may contribute to disease onset. This study aimed to systematically review and analyse the evidence on seasonal variation in CSC incidence. A systematic search was conducted across 10 databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Central, Web of Science Core Collection, Current Contents Connect, Data Citation Index, Derwent Innovations Index, KCI-Korean Journal Database, ProQuest™ Dissertations and Theses Citation Index, and SciELO Citation Index) on 22 June 2025. Eligible studies included observational designs reporting CSC incidence or frequency across seasons; case reports and reviews were excluded. Five studies, with 907 participants in total, met the inclusion criteria. Three studies with sufficient data were included in quantitative meta-analysis, while the remaining two conference abstracts were included in the qualitative synthesis. Seasonal variation in CSC incidence was reported across studies. Meta-analysis using summer as the reference season showed a significantly increased incidence of CSC in spring (OR 1.42; 95% CI: 1.18-1.73; p = 0.0003) and autumn (OR 1.23; 95% CI: 1.02-1.48; p = 0.03). No significant difference was found for winter (OR 0.97; 95% CI: 0.80-1.19; p = 0.80). The remaining 2 studies not included in the meta-analysis also reported seasonal trends consistent with these findings. The findings indicate a significant seasonal variation in CSC incidence, with a consistently increased risk during spring and autumn compared with summer. Further research is needed to examine how seasonal environmental and physiological mechanisms may contribute to CSC development.

ABSTRACT This paper examines how foreign direct investment (FDI) affects domestic innovation in China. Using firm-level patent citation data, we show that FDI enhances domestic firms’ access to knowledge not only from foreign-invested enterprises operating locally but also from the global technological frontier. Exploiting exogenous variation from China’s FDI liberalization and focusing on city—industry exposure, we find that these spillovers are strongly localized. The evidence suggests that local agglomeration enables FDI to function as a gateway that lowers barriers to global knowledge absorption. By documenting this indirect channel, the paper sheds new light on how FDI generates innovation gains in developing economies.

ABSTRACT Open Access (OA) has gained increasing importance across disciplines worldwide. The present study examines the research impact of Indian Library and Information Science (LIS) open access publications by analyzing the relationship between citation counts and Altmetric attention. Data were collected from the Scopus database, focusing on core LIS publications authored in India, resulting in a dataset of 122 open access articles. Citation data were retrieved from Scopus, while Altmetric Attention Scores were obtained from Dimensions.ai. Descriptive analyses of publication growth and OA routes were conducted using MS Excel and Tableau, and correlation analysis was performed using SPSS. This exploratory, context-specific study reveals a weak but statistically significant positive correlation between citations and Altmetric Attention Scores (r = 0.184, p = .042), suggesting that academic and societal impact metrics capture partially distinct dimensions of research influence within Indian LIS scholarship. The findings indicate that while citations reflect long-term scholarly recognition, Altmetrics capture broader online and social engagement. The study further highlights that core areas such as bibliometrics and digital libraries remain foundational, while emerging themes including artificial intelligence, sustainability, and traditional knowledge reflect the evolving academic and societal relevance of LIS research in India.

Abstract This study investigates field-specific and regional disparities in the distribution of Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers (HCRs) and proposes improvements to research evaluation methodologies. A two-way analysis spanning 21 research fields and the top 10 regions in the 2023 HCR list identifies both systematic measurement errors and realistic disparities that undermine comparability across fields. These findings were rigorously compared against baseline scenarios from 2018–2021—the period preceding Clarivate’s implementation of stricter exclusion criteria for HCR evaluations. Analysis reveals subcategory heterogeneity compromises in HCR metrics in the Engineering field, demonstrating why citation data require heterogeneity adjustments within Essential Science Indicators fields. While regional differences in HCR numbers reflect genuine variations in research investment and capacity, they are also distorted by methodological inconsistencies. These findings emphasize the urgency of adopting more rigorous interpretations of HCR outcomes to accurately reflect field-specific and regional contributions. Finally, this study advocates for methodological reforms, including field-normalized adjustments to citation and publication thresholds and fractional counting for regional contributions. Implementing these changes earlier in the candidate selection process could appropriately increase HCR representation in specific fields and regions. In contrast, Clarivate’s current nontransparent qualitative exclusion practices unjustly constrain HCR numbers, disregarding variations across fields and regions.

Bibliometric analyses are essential for assessing research productivity and impact in academic medicine, particularly in neurosurgery. Traditional indices, such as the h-index, provide valuable insights into scholarly output but may disproportionately reflect past productivity. The five-year h-index (ih(5)-index) addresses this limitation by focusing on recent academic contributions. This study aims to update bibliometric assessments of U.S. neurosurgical residency programs, ranking institutions based on recent research performance and examining factors influencing publication equality. All Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited U.S. neurosurgical residency programs were included. Faculty rosters were compiled from departmental websites, and publication and citation data from 2019 to 2024 were retrieved using Scopus. Bibliometric indices, including the ih(5)-index, ig(5)-index, ie(5)-index, and i10(5)-index, were calculated. Programs were ranked based on these metrics, and regional variations were analyzed. Additionally, publication equality was assessed using Lorenz curves and Gini coefficients, with statistical analyses identifying predictors of balanced scholarly contributions. The Western region demonstrated the highest median ih(5)-index (32.5), followed by the Northeast and Midwest (both 27), and the South (25). The top five neurosurgical programs in recent research productivity were the University of California San Francisco, Stanford Health Care, Duke University Hospital, Johns Hopkins University, and McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. The ih(5)-index correlated positively with total research output and negatively with publication inequality, emerging as an independent predictor of a balanced distribution of scholarly contributions. This study provides an updated evaluation of neurosurgical research productivity, offering valuable insights for prospective residents, academic institutions, and funding bodies. The ih(5)-index serves as a key metric for assessing recent research performance and equitable scholarly contributions, ensuring that bibliometric evaluations remain relevant and informative.

Cell and gene therapies (CGT) have been increasingly translated into clinical practice over the past three decades; however, their development has been uneven across modalities and regions. Through a bibliometric analysis indexed in PubMed from 1989 to 2023, supplemented by citation and affiliation data from OpenAlex, we examined modality-specific progression under different regional and collaborative configurations and how transitions from basic to clinical research have emerged. Hematopoietic stem cell therapies have shown sustained growth in both clinical and high-impact publications, reflecting a mature field that remains scientifically relevant. In contrast, mesenchymal stem cell therapies experienced a rise in high-impact papers in the mid-2000s, but clinical publications stagnated, indicating a gap between academic interest and clinical applications. In gene therapy, the number of in vivo approaches increased in the 1990s. However, this was followed by a plateau in high-impact publications and a decline in clinical output, whereas ex vivo strategies have sharply increased since the mid-2010s, marking a transition toward tangible clinical translation. To further evaluate the global research landscape, we analyzed research activity and co-authorship patterns across countries and institutions in CGT. Our findings reveal distinct patterns of international collaboration. The United States and, more recently, China accounted for a large and growing share of CGT publications and high-impact papers, whereas Europe maintained steady contributions, and Japan's presence stagnated. Higher-impact output is generally associated with broader cross-border co-authorship, especially collaborations linking the United States and Europe, whereas collaborations involving China and Japan remain comparatively narrow. These results provide a data-driven foundation for guiding research policies and strategic cooperation in this evolving field.

To evaluate the scientific literature on impacted canines using bibliometric and altmetric analyses. A systematic search of the Web of Science Core Collection was performed using keywords related to impacted canines. Three independent reviewers identified, screened, and evaluated the 100 most-cited articles. Citation data were cross-verified with Scopus and Google Scholar. Extracted information included citation counts, study design, publication year, authors, institutions, journals, and countries. Bibliometric mapping was conducted using VOSviewer, and altmetric indicators were obtained from dimensions. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman's rank correlation, with significance set at p<0.05. The 100 most-cited articles received 10,429 citations in the Web of Science, and citation counts were strongly correlated across databases (p<0.001). Most studies were observational (69%), followed by narrative reviews (12%) and interventional studies (10%). Research topics primarily addressed the etiology, radiographic assessments, and associated anomalies. The most cited article in the Web of Science database was Ericson and Kurol's 1988 study on the interceptive extraction of primary canines. Publications were concentrated in orthodontic specialty journals, with the USA, Italy, and Israel being the leading countries. Analysis of the 100 most-cited articles revealed that influential research on impacted canines is predominantly, focusing on etiology and diagnosis. Areas such as mandibular impactions, periodontal outcomes, and long-term treatment effects remain underexplored.

Purpose This study explores how academic entrepreneurs' prior scientific research experience influences their firms' external knowledge search behaviors, and how their corporate positions within academic spin-offs moderate this relationship. Design/methodology/approach Drawing on imprinting theory, we empirically examine 139 academic spin-offs listed on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ). We measure research experience through academic titles and honors, and assess knowledge search behavior using patent citation data to capture both search breadth and search depth. Hierarchical regression analysis and robustness tests, including instrumental variable and subsample analysis, are employed to validate the results. Findings The results show that academic entrepreneurs' research experience significantly enhances both the depth and breadth of external knowledge search. Furthermore, corporate positions moderate these relationships: low or nonmanagerial roles amplify the impact of research experience on search depth, while high-level management roles strengthen its effect on search breadth. Originality/value This study contributes to the literature by linking imprinting theory to the knowledge acquisition strategies of academic entrepreneurs. It also advances understanding of how dual institutional logics, academic and commercial, shape boundary-spanning behavior depending on entrepreneurs' roles within their ventures.

Abstract Researchers’ performance is often evaluated quantitatively through metrics like the number of scientific papers, the number of citations these received, and the H-index, perpetuating the “Publish or Perish” culture. Yet such metrics have inherent biases favoring older, established researchers and fail to account for disciplinary differences or temporal relevance of contributions. To address this inequity, we aimed to create a global, age- and field-adjusted reference for evaluating scientific productivity. We developed a comprehensive worldwide reference database of researchers using publication and citation data from Scopus. The reference dataset includes 507,233 researchers from across the globe and facilitates the calculation of expected values for H-index, annual citations, and recent publications (within the past 5 years) for each percentile in every discipline. To account for disciplinary differences, we incorporated diverse publication types into the analysis tailored to each domain. The benchmarks utilized were stratified by career stage, assessed at each year after a researcher’s first publication. A composite score was developed to rank publication performance into deciles (D1–D10), where D1 represents the highest level of achievement. Importantly, only data from researchers within the same career stage and same scientific domain are used for comparison, ensuring fair and context-sensitive evaluations. To enhance accessibility, we established a web portal ( www.scientometrics.org/scopus ) to facilitate researcher benchmarking. This age- and discipline-normalized international database promotes the application of responsible metrics, offering a robust framework for global scientometric rankings. By providing an online analysis platform, we enable researchers, institutions, and policymakers to determine expected levels of scholarly output at the individual level while fostering fairness and equity in academic evaluation.

ABSTRACT We utilize patent grant and citation data from Chinese A-share listed companies spanning 2002 to 2022 to construct a Corporate Innovation Quality Index (CIQI), enabling the quantification of differences in how firms allocate innovation inputs and transform them into technological outputs. Our findings document the dynamic evolution of corporate innovation behaviour and reveal substantial heterogeneity across industries, pollution levels, ownership structures, and regions. By offering a novel perspective on the quality disparities in technological innovation, this study provides valuable insights for refining industry-specific innovation policies, enhancing corporate innovation efficiency, and advancing high-quality economic growth.

This research focuses on the positioning of the Macedonian higher education in 2025 and its performance in a regional, Balkan context. The research draws from the overall problem of systemic decline in the Macedonian higher education subsector, as evidenced in the most obvious way by the absence of any state or private-not-for-profit Macedonian university in any of the high-profile international university rankings.Therefore, the aim was to provide a regional perspective on the Macedonian higher education by constructing the Academic Ranking of Balkan Universities (ARBU) while using citation data from Google Scholar. The research employed a quantitative approach to determine how to evaluate the performance of the 28 Macedonian higher education institutions by benchmarking them with 151 public higher education institutions in the region, documenting how the universities in the region performed across academic fields and disciplines, and identifying the output of the top national researchers.The ARBU findings showed that the Macedonian higher education is lagging in regional performance, with the largest Macedonian university - Ss. Cyril and Methodius - participating in a steadily pragmatic manner. This suggests that its role is more focused on maintaining stability rather than pursuing rapid progress or transformation. There was also no regional input with a mention of the Macedonian scholars in the top performance tier.In summary, the research indicates that despite the current discontent, the Republic of North Macedonia is still acknowledged as having viable quality of higher education in the region but the system is beset with difficulty in research capacity, internationalization, and institutional governance. Without deliberate reform to these processes, Macedonian higher education will, literally, be uncompetitive in the region and further by 2025.

This study analyzed the research trends related to stem cells and secretome in aplastic anemia between 2018 and 2023 using a bibliometric approach to understand developments and research distribution in this field. The Scopus database was used to search for relevant articles on aplastic anemia and its relationship to stem cells or secretome, collecting publication and citation data found in article titles, abstracts, and keywords. VOSviewer and Biblioshiny bibliometric software were used to visualize author, country, journal, and keyword networks. Visualization maps aimed to highlight the emergence of words and phrases in titles and abstracts. Based on information from 1,405 articles identified from 2018 to 2023, publication numbers experienced significant fluctuations. Research showed that publications on aplastic anemia, stem cells, or secretome increased by an average of 2.52% annually over the past five years. The most productive country was China with 321 documents, while the most productive institution was the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College with 53 documents. We identified four cluster groups: "severe aplastic anemia," "allogeneic stem cell transplantation," "bone marrow failure," and "hematopoietic stem cell transplantation." This study provides a comprehensive overview of research trends in aplastic anemia related to stem cells and secretome from 2018 to 2023, highlighting steady growth and key contributors like China. Future research will likely focus on secretome applications and international collaborations to advance regenerative therapies for aplastic anemia.
