Azolla Liquid Fertilizer (Azolla pinnata) And Chicken Manure Fertilizer on the Growth and Yield of Shallots

This study aims to see the effect of giving Azolla liquid organic fertilizer and chicken manure on the growth and yield of shallots. The research method used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors with 16 combinations and 3 blocks. The first factor is the provision of azolla liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0 ml / l water / m2, 200 ml / l water / m2, 400 ml / l water / m2, 600 ml / l water / m2. The second factor is the provision of chicken manure consisting of 4 levels, namely 0 kg / m2, 0.5 kg / m2, 1.0 kg / m2 and 1.5 kg / m2. The provision of azolla liquid organic fertilizer has a significant effect on the parameters of the number of tillers, the number / plant, the wet weight of bulbs / plant, the dry weight of bulbs / plant. The provision of azolla liquid organic fertilizer 600 ml / liter of water / m2 gave the best effect on all observation parameters. The provision of chicken manure gave a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of shoots, number of bulbs/ plant, wet weight of bulbs/plant, dry weight of bulbs/plant. The dose of chicken manure of 1.5 kg/m2 showed the best effect for all observation parameters. DIFERENTES FONTES DE ADUBOS NO CULTIVO DO AÇAFRÃO (Curcuma longa L.)

Turmeric is a vegetable belonging to the Zingiberaceae family with high nutraceutical properties. Due to its well-known medicinal properties, it is important to reduce the use of mineral fertilizers during its cultivation. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance of turmeric using different fertilizer sources: chemical, organic, and organomineral. The experimental design used was randomized blocks with four replications and six treatments: T1- Control, without fertilization; T2- 50% chicken manure + 50% mineral fertilizer; T3- 50% turkey manure + 50% mineral fertilizer; T4- only chicken manure fertilization; T5- only turkey manure fertilization; T6- only mineral fertilization. The emergence speed of turmeric rhizomes, with an average of 4.92, was not influenced by different fertilizers. Plants that received organic fertilizers achieved greater heights, reaching 27.12 cm in the treatment with turkey manure. Applying organomineral fertilizers promoted greater sprouting, with 5.43 sprouts per plant in the treatment with organomineral (50% chicken manure + 50% mineral fertilizer). The highest yields were achieved in treatments with turkey manure, presenting a commercial yield of 25.22 t ha-1, a of 44.9 t ha-1, and a fresh matter mass of 30.44 t ha-1. Similar results were observed using chicken manure and organomineral (50% chicken manure + 50% mineral fertilizer). The exclusive use of organic fertilization meets the nutritional requirements of turmeric.

PENGARUH PUPUK KOTORAN AYAM DAN BIOCAR ARANG SEKAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN KANGKUNG DARAT (Ipomea reptans Poir) PADA MEDIA TANAH MASAM

Acid soil status can affect the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil which have an impact on plant growth, nutrient availability and damage microbial activity in the soil. This research aims to determine the response of land kale plants to the application of doses of chicken manure fertilizer and husk charcoal biochar on acid soil media. The study used a randomized block design (RCBD) with 2 factors. Chicken manure as the first factor with dosage levels, namely 0 t ha-1, 20 t ha-1, 40 t ha-1, and 60 t ha-1. The dosage of husk charcoal biochar as factor 2 is 0 t ha-1, 15 t ha-1, and 30 t ha-1. The results of the research showed that the treatment of chicken manure fertilizer with husk charcoal biochar had a very significantly different effect on the parameters of plant height and number of leaves at 21 and 28 DAP. Effect of Various Biochar Materials and Levels of Chicken Manure Fertilizer on Soil Chemical, Growth and Yield of Soybean (Glycine max L Merrill)

This study aims to determine the effect of various biochar materials and doses of chicken manure fertilizer on soil chemical properties, growth and yield of soybean. The research method used a 2 factorial Randomised Group Design. The first factor was the treatment of various biochar materials consisting of 4 levels, namely: B0 without treatment, B1 (corn cob biochar 1.5 kg/m2, B2 (jengkol bark biochar 1.5 kg/m2), B3 (rice husk biochar 1.5 kg/m2). Factor II was chicken manure (P) consisting of P0 (0 kg/m2), P1 (0.5 kg/m2), P2 (1 kg/m2 and P3 (1.5 kg/m2). The application of various biochar materials and chicken cohe fertilizer gave a real response to soil pH, organic C, total N, available P and K available. The results showed that the application of biochar to the growth and yield of soybean plants gave a significant effect on the parameters of stem diameter, number of productive branches, number of pods, dry weight of seeds/m2, seed production/ha. The application of jengkol skin biochar gave the highest effect on stem diameter (1.750 cm), number of productive branches (5.06 branches), number of pods (181.60 pods), dry weight of seeds/m2 (442.98 grams). The application of chicken manure fertilizer on the growth and yield of soybean plants gives a significant effect on stem diameter, number of productive branches, number of pods, dry weight of seeds/plot. The dose of chicken manure fertilizer 1.5 kg/m2 showed the highest effect on stem diameter (1.79 cm), number of productive branches (5.19 branches), number of pods (184.22 pods), dry weight of seeds/m2 (398.50 g). Application of Trichoderma Isolate consortium in organic fertilizer for controlling shallot twisted disease

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of applying a consortium of Trichoderma spp. isolates to a type of organic fertilizer that is effective in controlling twisted disease and on the growth and yield of shallot plants. The study utilized a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of eight treatments with four replications. The treatments examined werea= as follows: P0 = control, P1 = 5 tons per ha of chicken manure fertilizer, P2 = 5 tons per ha of chicken manure fertilizer and consortium of two Trichoderma spp. isolates, P3 = 5 tons per ha of chicken manure fertilizer and consortium of three Trichoderma spp. isolates, P4 = 5 tons per ha of chicken manure fertilizer, 20 tons per ha trichocompost, and a consortium of two Trichoderma spp. isolates, P5 = 5 tons per ha of chicken manure fertilizer, 20 tons per ha trichocompost, and consortium of three Trichoderma spp. isolates, P6 = 20 tons per ha of trichocompost and a consortium of two Trichoderma spp. isolates, and P7 = 20 tons per ha of trichocompost and a consortium of three Trichoderma spp. isolates. The results showed that the twisted disease incidence in treatment P4 was the lowest (14.52%) at 8 weeks after planting. The plant height was of 39.10 cm, with 29.8 leaves per clump at 7 WAP, and the dried bulb weight was 112.4 g per clump. In conclusion, the application of chicken manure fertilizer at a dose of 5 ton per ha, combined with 20 tons per ha of trichocompost and a consortium of two Trichoderma spp. isolates, could control twisted disease in shallot.

Growth and Yield of Celery (Apium Graveolens L.) in Organic Cultivation on Alluvial Soil

Celery (Apium graveolens L.) is a horticultural crop that is consumable and offers numerous health benefits. The purpose of this study was to ascertain how celery growth and yield cultivated on alluvial soil were affected by the interaction between liquid organic NPK fertilizer and chicken manure. The study utilized a field experiment that was designed completely randomized comprising two factors. The first factor was the dosage of chicken manure with three levels: C1: 50 g/pot, C2: 100 g/pot, and C3: 150 g/pot. The second factor was liquid organic NPK fertilizer with three levels: L1: 1%, L2: 2%, and L3: 3%. All treatment combinations were performed in triplicates. The results indicated that the interaction between chicken manure and liquid organic NPK fertilizer significantly affected the number of tillers and dry weight of celery yield. Chicken manure as a single factor significantly influenced the number of stems and tillers. Liquid organic NPK fertilizer as a single factor significantly influenced the number of tillers, fresh weight, dry weight, and plant height. The combination of chicken manure and liquid organic NPK fertilizer (C1L3) produced the highest number of stems per clump (79.44 stems) and the highest number of tillers per clump (9.78 tillers). Growth and yield response of maize to integrated nutrient management of chicken manure and inorganic fertilizer in different agroecological zones

The productivity of maize, an essential staple food crop in Africa, is severely constrained by the declining fertility of the soil. The combined use of organic and inorganic fertilizers could ameliorate this challenge in a sustainable way to boost maize productivity. Two field trials were conducted at Ashanti -Mampong and Damongo, in the transitional and Guinea Savannah agroecologies of Ghana respectively, to assess the influence of sole and integrated application of chicken manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of maize. The treatments included two maize varieties; Abontem and Obatanpa, and five fertilizer rates; 3 t/ha chicken manure (CM), NPK (65:38:38 kg ha−1 NPK), ½ CM + ½ NPK and ¾ CM + ¼ NPK and control (no fertilizer). A 2 x 5 factorial randomized complete block design with three replications was used. Significant variations (p < 0.05) were revealed between varieties, fertilizer types and their interaction effects for phenological, growth and yield of maize in both locations. The superiority of the integrated application of NPK and chicken manure was also visible in the vegetative parameters such as plant height, number of leaves and shoot dry weight of the maize plants given them the comparative advantage to assimilate more photosynthates for partitioning to the ears and grains. Obatanpa treated with ½ CM + ½ NPK produced the highest yield of 4661.1 kg ha−1, which was 29.6 and 29.9 % higher than the same variety grown on sole NPK and sole chicken manure, respectively at Damongo. Abontem treated with ¾ CM + ¼ NPK recorded a grain yield of 4479.3 kg ha−1, 11.7 % higher than the sole NPK and 10.3 % higher than the sole CM at Damongo. Similarly, Obatanpa grown on the ½ CM + ½ NPK recorded the highest grain yield of 4349.3 kg ha−1at Mampong followed by Abontem treated with the sole NPK (4267.1 kg ha−1). Sole NPK and the combined application of NPK and chicken manure gave comparable responses for vegetative traits while the integrated application proved superior for grain yield of maize across the two agroecologies.

Fertilizer Effects on the Nitrogen Isotope Composition of Soil and Different Leaf Locations of Potted Camellia sinensis over a Growing Season.

The nitrogen-stable isotopes of plants can be used to verify the source of fertilizers, but the fertilizer uptake patterns in tea (Camellia sinensis) plants are unclear. In this study, potted tea plants were treated with three types of organic fertilizers (OFs), urea, and a control. The tea leaves were sampled over seven months from the top, middle, and base of the plants and analyzed for the δ15N and nitrogen content, along with the corresponding soil samples. The top tea leaves treated with the rapeseed cake OF had the highest δ15N values (up to 6.6‱), followed by the chicken manure, the cow manure, the control, and the urea fertilizer (6.5‱, 4.1‱, 2.2‱, and 0.6‱, respectively). The soil treated with cow manure had the highest δ15N values (6.0‱), followed by the chicken manure, rapeseed cake, control, and urea fertilizer (4.8‱, 4.0‱, 2.5‱, and 1.9‱, respectively). The tea leaves fertilized with rapeseed cake showed only slight δ15N value changes in autumn but increased significantly in early spring and then decreased in late spring, consistent with the delivery of a slow-release fertilizer. Meanwhile, the δ15N values of the top, middle, and basal leaves from the tea plants treated with the rapeseed cake treatment were consistently higher in early spring and lower in autumn and late spring, respectively. The urea and control samples had lower tea leaf δ15N values than the rapeseed cake-treated tea and showed a generalized decrease in the tea leaf δ15N values over time. The results clarify the temporal nitrogen patterns and isotope compositions of tea leaves treated with different fertilizer types and ensure that the δ15N tea leaf values can be used to authenticate the organic fertilizer methods across different harvest periods and leaf locations. The present results based on a pot experiment require further exploration in open agricultural soils in terms of the various potential fertilizer effects on the different variations of nitrogen isotope ratios in tea plants.

RESPON TANAMAN PAKCOY (Brassica rapa L.) TERHADAP PEMBERIAN POC DAN PUPUK KOTORAN AYAM PADA TANAH GAMBUT PEDALAMAN

This research was to discover the effect of giving Nasa POC and chicken manure fertilizer on the growth and yield of pakcoy in inland peat. The research used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design. Factor I: Nasa POC (0, 6, 12, and 18 ml POC L-1 water) and Factor II: Chicken Manure Fertilizer (0, 10, 20, and 30 t.ha-1). The research result revealed that there was an interaction between giving Nasa POC and chicken manure fertilizer on the variable of plant height growth aged 3 and 4 WAP, number of leaves aged 3 WAP, leaf area, and pakcoy yield components, such as total fresh weight of the plant and dry weight of the plant. The interaction between Nasa POC 12-18 ml L-1 water with chicken manure on dose 20-30 t.ha-1 revealed the highest growth and yield of pakcoy. The Nasa POC treatment genuinely affected the plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, and pakcoy plant yield components, such as the plant's total fresh and dry weight. Chicken manure had a very real effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area as well as total fresh weight of the plant and dry weight of the plant.

Organic fertilizers diminish two important pests on collard green compared to synthetic fertilizer

Plant fertilization may impact directly on insect pest behavior and biology. Fertilization may be accomplished by using synthetic mineral or organic fertilizers. The effect of different doses of boiled hen chicken manure, Penergetic®, Bokashi compound and mineral fertilizer on the adult population of Bemisia tabaci and Myzus persicae on collards leaves were evaluated. The experiment was conducted in the greenhouse using the treatments: Bokashi, Penergetic® bioactivator, 2.5%, 5%, and 7.5% of solution of boiled manure, mineral fertilization and control. The number of insects was counted directly on the leaves, and the nitrogen, potassium content, and total phenolic compound in the leaves were determined. Higher populations of Bemisia tabaci and M. persicae were observed on NPK-fertilized plants compared to other treatments. Higher levels of nitrogen foliar were found for Bokashi-fertilized plants; and higher concentrations of total phenolic compounds were found in the control. A negative correlation between total phenolics and B. tabaci was established suggesting the importance of these compounds in the species development. The results indicate the importance of the source of the fertilization for sustainable pest management.

Applying Types Of Solid And Liquid Organic Fertilizer Dosages To Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) Production

One of the plant cultivation techniques to increase shallot production is fertilization. Fertilization is the application of fertilizer to increase the supply of nutrients needed by plants to improve the yield and quality of plant products. This research aims to determine and obtain a combination of the type of organic fertilizer and dosage of liquid organic fertilizer that has the best effect on the production of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted on farmers' land in Sukajadi Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The study was carried out from March to June 2023. This research used an experimental method with a split-plot design with 12 treatment combinations repeated 3 times. The treatment in question is the main plot: type of organic fertilizer consisting of chicken manure, buffalo dung fertilizer, and goat dung fertilizer, while sub-plots: dosage of liquid organic fertilizer consisting of control; 10 L/ha; 15 L/ha and 20 L/ha. The variables observed were the number of tubers per cluster (tuber), tuber weight per cluster (g), and tuber weight per plot (kg). The research results showed that a combination of organic chicken manure and liquid organic fertilizer at a dose of 20 L/ha gave the best production of shallots, namely 0.61 kg/ plot (2.44 tons/ha).

Contaminación de suelos por uso de agroquímicos en cultivos de papaya (Carica papaya), Picota, Perú

The purpose of this research work was to know the contamination of the soil of papaya crops (Carica papaya), by the application of agrochemicals in the control of pests and diseases. Where soil samples were taken from 5 papaya plots (Carica papaya), 15 samples of 1 kg each of soil were extracted, followed by a plot without anthropic intervention of 3 samples to be sent to the laboratory. From the results, the agrochemicals used in papaya (Carica papaya) crops were determined, such as fire herbicides, propanil, hedonal and glyphosate; as insecticides dimethoate and aldrin; as fungicides zineb, mancozeb WP and Champion. It was found that cadmium had the highest concentration of 1.677 mg/kg, followed by lead at 13.297 mg/kg and chromium VI with its maximum concentration of 0.7833 mg/kg. The alternatives as strategies for the use of agrochemicals were catahua resin (Hura crepitans) that acts as a pesticide, cocoa honey water herbicides, solid organic fertilizers (solid chicken manure fertilizer, cattle manure compost, vermicomport, compost of pulp of coffee) and barbasco bark (Lonchpocarpus nicou). It was concluded that the soils of papaya (Carica papaya) crops are contaminated by the excessive use of agrochemicals in the control of pests, diseases, and improvement of production.

Response in Growth Geronggang (Cratoxylon arborescens Vahl. Blume) Seddling by Giving Chicken Manure

One potential plant species for restoration in peat swamp forests is Cratoxylon arborescens. A well-managed nursery includes the application of chicken manure. This study aims to determine the effect and best dose of chicken manure fertilizer on the growth of Cratoxylon arborescens seedlings on peat planting media. This research used RAL (Completely Randomized Design) experimental method, which consisted of 4 treatments (P0 = control, P1 = 10% chicken manure + 90% peat, P2 = 30% chicken manure + 70% peat and P3 = 50% chicken manure + 50% peat) with 5 replications. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using variance analysis, followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that chicken manure had a significant effect on the growth of Cratoxylon arborescens seedlings, because it was able to increase fertility and nutrient availability, improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of peat. The most effective and best treatment for four-month-old Cratoxylon arborescens seedlings was P2 (30% chicken manure + 70% peat) with 100% survival percentage, average height increase of 14.39 cm, average diameter increase of 1.56 mm, dry weight of 7.41 g and seedling robustness of 8.35

Effect of crop pattern and types of manure on the growth of Sappan wood (Caesalpinia Sappan L.) in Jatinangor, West Java, Indonesia

Sappan wood plants are one of the medicinal plants in Indonesia. Considering the potential of Sappan wood plants in the health and industrial sectors, special cultivation techniques are required to ensure that Sappan wood plants can grow with a large stem diameter. A large stem diameter can be achieved by using the appropriate planting distance. The right planting distance requires land with sufficient organic content. This research aims to determine the optimum planting distance and the appropriate type of organic material to produce Sappan wood plants with a large diameter. The experimental design used was a Split Plot Design, with planting distance (J) as the main plot and organic fertilizer (P) as the sub-plot. The planting distance factor levels were J1 = 1m x 1m, J2 = 2mx2m cm, J3 = 3m x3m. The organic fertilizer factor levels were P1 = Cow Manure Fertilizer, P2 = Chicken Manure Fertilizer, and P3 = Sheep Manure Fertilizer. The results showed an interaction between the planting distance treatment and the use of manure fertilizer on the parameters of stem diameter and soil pH of Sappan wood plants at 3 MAP (months after planting). The planting distance treatment independently influenced the results, with a 1m x 1m planting distance providing the best results for plant height and stem diameter. In general, the application of different types of manure did not significantly affect the growth of Sappan wood plants.

The Effect of Coffee Canopy Pruning and Fertilization on Coffee Growth and Soil Physical Properties

Arabica coffee is primarily cultivated in agroforestry systems in Indonesia, but limited local knowledge and technology adoption hinder its productivity due to insufficient practices in coffee pruning management. This study aims to analyze variations in coffee canopy pruning (Pruning+Bending) management and the impact on plant growth and soil physical characteristics.. The experiment employed a split-plot experimental design and utilized the Fisher test (5%) to assess the treatment effects. The primary plot focused on coffee canopy pruning using two management options: (1) Pruning (PR) and (2) Bending (BN). The subplots included various types and doses of fertilizer treatments: (1) Control (F0), (2) Chicken manure (F1), (3) Chicken manure+NPK fertilizer (F2), and (4) NPK fertilizer (F3). Each experimental plot covered an area of 20x20 m and contained 50 coffee plants. Bending techniques represent alternative pruning methods, and, in general, they have a significant impact on improving several coffee parameters compared to total pruning. Regarding the soil’s physical properties, the bending technique exhibited a higher infiltration rate than pruning. The management approach of Bending+Chicken manure: NPK fertilizer (BNF2) enhanced various coffee parameters, resulting in an increased stem diameter of 4.79 cm, new shoot length of 471.20 cm, and chlorophyll content of 6.83 mg/g. Furthermore, this treatment increased soil organic carbon content by 7.51% and reduced bulk density to 0.58 g/cm. In conclusion, the bending technique wasproven to be more advantageous than pruning, especially when combined with chicken manure and NPK fertilizer for enhancing coffee management among farmers.

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG AYAM DAN PUPUK NPK 17:17:17 TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TANAMAN PORANG (Amorphophallus oncophyllus)

This study aims to determine the effect of giving chicken manure and NPK 17:17:17 fertilizer to the growth of Porang seedlings, as well as the interaction between the two. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factorials, namely, treatment of chicken manure (K) doses with 3 levels, namely: K1 = 20 gr/polybag, K2 = 40 gr/polybag and K3 = 60 gr/polybag, and treatment dose of NPK 17:17:17 (N) fertilizer with 3 levels, namely: N1 = 5 gr/polybag, N2 = 6 gr/polybag and N3 = 7 gr/polybag. The parameters observed in this study were: plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), leaf width (cm) and number of leaves (strands). The results showed that the application of chicken manure had a significant effect on the leaf width parameter (cm). The best results were obtained in the K2 treatment (40 g/polybag). The application of NPK 17:17:17 fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm) and number of leaves (strands). The best results were obtained in the N1 treatment (5 g/polybag). There is no interaction between chicken manure and NPK fertilizer 17:17:17.

Response of Growth and Seed Yield of Mung Bean (Vigna radiata L.) to Chicken Manure and Banana Hump Liquid Organic Fertilizer Application

Mung bean is highly important legume crop in Indonesia. Attempts to improve the yield and quality of mung bean seeds can be done through improving the planting media by adding organic fertilizer. The objective of this study was to determine the response of growth and seeds production of mung bean due to chicken manure and banana hump organic fertilizer. The research was performed in the greenhouse at the Balai Pengujian Standar Instrumen Tanaman Aneka Kacang (BSIPTAKA), Muneng Probolinggo. This study was structured in a factorial block design with three replications executed randomly. The first factor was doses of CM consisting of 0, 8.3, 16.7, and 25 ton/ha. The second factor was concentrations of banana hump liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) consisting of 0, 10, 20, and 30 ml/L. The result showed that doses of CM had a significant effect on plant height at 10 DAP, seed weight per plant, and seed yield. The interaction between CM doses and banana hump LOF was able to increase leaf chlorophyll index at 30 DAP. Combination of 16.7 ton/ha CM and 20 ml/L banana hump LOF produced the highest average chlorophyll index of 55.07 CCI. Keywords: Chlorophyll index, Manure, Mung bean, Organic fertilizer, Seed.

Concentration Banana Peel Liquid and Dose Chicken Manure Fertilizer toward growth Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)

Lettuce is a vegetable plant originating from West Asia. Lettuce plants in Indonesia can be panted from the owlands to the highlands by considering selecting varieties. The high demind of Lettuce is not followed by an increase in production, low lettuce production is due to poor soil fertility and low levels of nutients in the soil due to excessive use of inorganic fertilizers and not paying attention to dosage. The use of organic fertilizer can increase soil fertility which is damaged by the use of inorganic fertilizer. The research was aimed to know effect of application the concentrstion of banana peel liquid based organic fertilizer and chicken manure fertilizer on the growth and yield of lettuce. The research was conducated in Sukajadi Barat Rt/Rw 001/005, Sukajadi Villager, Cibaliunh district, Pandeglang city, Banten. The method used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) Concentration Banana peel liquid; 15%, 25%, and 35%. Dose chicken manure fertilizer; 71 g/polybag, 106 g/polybag, 141 g/polybag. The result research showed giving banana peel liquid influential real against all parameters except plant fresh weight. The giving chicken manure fertilizer influential real against all parameters except plant fresh weight. The conclusion of this research is the giving banana peel liquid at a concentration 25% gives the best results and chicken manure fertilizer at a dose 106 g/polybag gives the best results.

Effect of different fertilizers on the growth of duckweed (Lemna minor) as aquatic plant resources utilization in sustaining Red Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) culture

Duckweed (Lemna minor) is one of the smallest floating aquatic plants in the world. This plant is potentially important in the aquaculture feed industry since aquaculture feed is the major operational cost in fish production. This 37-days study was done to see the effect of different fertilizers; (goat manure, chicken manure and organic fertilizer) at the same concentration of 2g/L on duckweed growth. Tap water without fertilizer was used as a control. Water parameters such as pH, temperature, nitrate, phosphate, and ammonia were observed. The result of duckweed growth rate after 37 days in goat manure fertilizer (0.76 grams/day) is the highest followed by chicken manure fertilizer (0.15 grams/day), organic fertilizer (0.02977 grams/day) and the control (-0.00 133 grams/day). The number of the duckweed at the end of experiment by using the goat manure fertilizer is higher which is 489 units, followed by chicken manure fertilizer (179 units), organic fertilizer (64 units) and control (22 unit). Treatment of goat manure fertilizer has a high concentration of nitrate 1.99 ppm, ammonia 2.69 ppm and available phosphate 7.71 ppm which suitability for duckweed growth. Since duckweed is easy to be cultured, this natural resource of aquatic plants can be produced commercially for Red Tilapia ( Oreochromis niloticus) farm.

Respon penggunaan bakteri penambat nitrogen Rhizobium sp dan pupuk kohe ayam

This study aims to determine the effect of Nitrogen-inhibiting bacteria and chicken manure (cohe) fertilizer on soybean yield. The research method used a 2 factorial Randomized Group Design. The first factor was the treatment of rhizobium biofertilizer (R) consisting of 4 levels, namely R0 = 0 g/kg seed, R1 = 5 g/kg seed, R2 = 10 g/kg seed, and R3 = 15 g/kg seed. The second factor is the treatment of chicken cohe fertilizer (S) consisting of 4 levels, namely S0 = 0 kg/m2, S1 = 0.5 kg/m2, S2 = 1.0 kg/m2, and S3 = 1.5 kg/m2. The results showed that the provision of rhizobium biofertilizer 10 g/kg seed had a real effect on the number of soybean pods, dry weight of seeds per plant, dry weight of 100 seeds, with the highest number of pods 1169.03 g, the highest dry weight of seeds 388.56 g, the highest weight of 100 seeds 15.88 g. Application of chicken cohe fertilizer 1.5 kg/m2 on the soil had a real effect on the number of pods, dry weight of seeds per plant, dry weight of 100 seeds, with the highest number of pods 167.25 g, dry weight of seeds 393.86 g and the highest weight of 100 seeds 16.50 g. The interaction of rhizobium biofertilizer and chicken cohe fertilizer was not significantly different in all treatments.
