Objective To analyze contrastly the typical features of Multiple Myeloma of Uygur and Han people in Urumqi region in Xin Jiang.Methods We have detected the serum of 60 cases by serum protein electrophoresis,immunofixation electrophoresis,Bence Jones protein electrophoresis,and flow cytometry(FCM).Results Monoclone protein peak was found in 31 out of 60 cases tested (18 cases were Uygur people and 13 cases were Han people),it located mainly γ border.The cases of Immunoglobulin G,Immunoglobulin A,Immunoglobulin M,free light chain was found in Uygur people and Han people were ( 8,16 ),( 6,9 ),( 1,5 ),( 11,4 ),1 respectively.Bence Jones protein electrophoresis detected 17 cases were positive ( 11 cases were Uygur and 6 cases were Han people).Compared with the Multiple Myeloma of Han people,the percentage of the CD3,CD4,Bcell,CD4/CD8 were reduced(P <0.05 )and the percentage of the CD8 and NK increased in male Uygur patients.While all parameters except CD8 cells which was reduced in the female Multiple Myeloma of Uygur,and the percentage of the CD8 increased obviously ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusion It was found that characteristics of Multiple Myeloma in Urumqi,including nationality,category,and immunophenotype.
